.....fuck. Ok, so the simple answer is Cassandra's going Nightmare King. But that "she's at my side once more" thing gives me hope that this is something else and not entirely Kristens fault. Could be the Elf side of Galacaea reacting badly to the Wolf side gaining prominence and she's trying to grab for any piece of her old self to gain a controlling foothold. On the lighter side of things, Kristen believing she's a full-on actual political candidate and trying to give a speech to steel-workers was gut-bustingly hilarious. Less light-hearted, Adaine needs to stop attacking her financial woes as a teenager and start attacking it as a wizard adventurer. And lose the crap job, a 40% discount is not worth those 8 hours she's losing every shift. She can get a lot more done with that time. But she's a kid who's trying to solve this on her own instead of the common sense move of reaching out to adults who know more. Siobhan commits to the bit, I'll give her that. Bizarely, Gorgugs 400% course load is actually is the most solvable problem. Get Digby and Wilma to tutor him and help him speedrun through the Freshman and Sophomore material and then play catch-up on the Junior year material. He might have drop the Owl Bears, he needs those hours. Fig is killing it so hard in all her classes, it would be fucking hilarious if she's the Bad Kid who graduates as valedictorian. This one ran long, sorry about that.
OK, my quick thoughts on everything before I sit down to write this recap tomorrow (I finished my notes today--geez these JY eps are LONG):
Kristen: Wild that the thing Kristen has chosen to go all in on is her high school bid for class president and not *gestures vaguely* literally anything else. Funny, but wild. My best guess until we have more info is that this is an "As above so below" thing because the wizards getting ripped and aggressive is super random except for the fact that the main things that Kristen has been doing in the past few months is getting ripped and being aggressive to Cass. But we're working with incomplete info so we'll see.
Adaine: Girl, take Aelwyn's chest of rubies and sell it for cash and buy stuff with that! Or better yet, use your Oracle/general divination powers to figure out the lotto numbers/stock futures and exploit that! Honestly, even killing your mom is a better plan that working at Fantasy Auntie Anne's!
Gorgug: :( Hang in there buddy. It's wild when everyone else is dealing with kind fantasy problems--even Adaine's thing is tinged with Fantasy what with the absurdity of the items she needs to get--and Gorgug is just dealing with…a completely regular school problem. That's rough man. I personally feel like I'd try to join a club or something to show off my skills rather than doing it on the books if this requires a 400% course load but I hope he can make it work. Though, it would also be interesting for them to do a, "There's no shame in trying and failing," storyline because man that's just so much work and that's an important thing to learn.
Fabian: If you want Adaine to be at your party then give her some of your massive pile of gold so she doesn't have to work a crappy mall job. The girl is filtering gold flecks out of discounted booze and you know that because you're the one who gave her permission to do it. Either help her or don't be sulky when she can't make your shrimp party!
Fig: Fig as surprise valedictorian has the same energy as Annie realizing she and Shirley are neck in neck for the position even though Annie is the type A control freak (this is a Community ref for anyone who's like whomst?). That would be so funny. But also, it wouldn't be crazy! Fig was super preppy before she decided to be punk. I wouldn't be surprised if her grades were always good and she's also passionate about everything she does. If she wasn't set on sticking it to the man, she'd be so so so solid.
Riz: You didn't mention him but I wanted to give him a section anyway. Hi Riz :)
OK, that's it for now. Can't wait for next ep! (And no worries about this ask being long. I like getting long D20 Asks!)

Murder Drones experience- Word Count: 615
Hi nobody will prolly read dis and that's good it's great it's fantastic so nobody can see my stupid ramblings
Anyway
When i join a new fandom i'm usually super chill, i search a few drawings to feed on look at, if i can i draw the characters i like tge must but i usually do that wayyy later like weeks the months or years or never
And i never make ocs, i did make a Peppiclone oc but It's because everyone else's obsession with Pizza Tower kinda dragged me down as well but i never liked PT THAT MUCH. It's cool but i don't love it with my entire soul and go apeshit every time i see PT stuff
Maybe it's because i mostly stay in old fandoms and i probably was obsessed with them a lot as a kid but over time the intrest faded and faded to the point where i don't "LOVE" it anymore, i just like It
B U T with Murder Drones i finally felt this again. It's been years since i liked something so much, more than 7? Prob
And i kinda forgot how it felt! So now i'm lost and confused and i keep on asking myself if it's normal or if i should be locked up in an asylu-
So. Didn't vibe with Murder Drones cuz it was too popular and seemed like a cringey thing. Then i saw an incredibile Murder Drones animation and thought.. fine whatev i'll try and i was ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY. Didn't expect that at all
Watched the full season and immediately drew my favorite character. With other fandoms it takes weeks to do that
Watched the entire season a second time and then i doodled even more characters (in another fandom it would take YEARS or i would not do that at all)
Searched many fan arts to feast on to satisfy my immense hunger of MD content
Considered the idea of making an oc (i usually never do that-)
Considered the idea of buying a plushie (all the official merch plushies i have are either gifts or from ages ago and i have a smol amount lke very very smol and only characters)
Watched the entire season A THIRD TIME
And considered the idea of making a MD Diorama/ Bendy wire posable figure
I only made dioramas with fandoms i've been in more than 2 years and the posable figs are all just fnaf. And uhh yeah that fandom is old as fuk)
All of this happened in LESS THAN A WEEK-
And with any other fandom it would have been wayyyyyy slowerrr
I went batshit crazy super sayan mode and i still am-
It's concerning and i don't know how to make this stop
If i should try to stop myself or embrace It
I mean- this is great tho! I'm usually very low on motivation. I don't do shit and spend the entire day watching YouTube
With Artfight i have a bit more motivation but with MD too
I finally feel... Alive
Like i genuiley enjoy what i'm making instead of forcing myself to draw random things just to do something
Most of the time i'll be like "try to draw this character because idk just do It to pass the time" it feels forced . For some reason and i don't even know why
But now it's "OMG!!! this character is so cool i have to draw it! I absolutely want to see how it would look like in my art style and all the fun poses i could do! Sadly it's kinda hard to draw but that's fine. Just practice and ur good"

Tom Ford Snowglobe
Something new for the blog - our first (but definitely not the last) snowglobe!
(Side note, turns out snowglobes are HARD to photograph! They pick up reflections off all the windows and lights in the room, so I took these two boys on several grand tours around the house in an effort to find a suitable space. You all deserve better than a plain drywall backdrop, so this here is the gift box for the SHL concertgoers, which I picked up on Xianyu)
The figures in this snowglobe are so delicately colored they look washed out in photographs, despite my best yet still clumsy photo-tweaking efforts. They are a slightly softer pastel take on these Tom Ford outfits:
The dramatic background at the shoots does a lot to enhance the clothing color (she says in a blasé attempt to pretend there's even a reason to keep posting event pictures).
We really should see these outfits against a plain color backdrop. For reasons. Color science reasons.
Ok, I feel appropriately scientific. Back to the snowglobe.
Right. So less saturated color in this globe here, but sweet and soft.
Those are the lipsticks on their groundbreaking single non-competing link displayed next to them on the snowglobe ground. I didn't know until I got into this fandom that actors and actresses in Chinese entertainment always competed head to head in sales links, no matter how close they were in real life. Go figure these two would be the first to partner up and share sales ❤️
When I was uploading this picture I gasped and zoomed in immediately on the lower base band there. Fret not, gentle readers (and gentle writer), that's not a crack on the base there, it's just a ridge in the paint. Whew!
It's true though, international shipping for snowglobes is an exercise in Zen. It's just going to be what it's going to be, even with styrofoam packing and bubble wrap. I've been lucky so far, but it would be a long way to travel to end up drained of water, or worse - in shards (along with the shards of my broken heart)!
CUTE with Junjun's hand reaching out to escort him! (pulls up blurry event pic for the x100th time)
Ahhh I love it. I love it so much only emojis can properly express the emotions in my heart:
❤️😍❤️😍❤️😍❤️😍❤️😍❤️
Their symbolic stars and moons on the base here are very sweet, and their height difference never fails to make me smile. Google Translate failed me on the inscription - I'm assuming this is a quite poetic and lovely musing on love instead of the machine translated hodgepodge it gave me.
Not much to see on the top down angle here. Now, it wouldn't be a snowglobe without seeing it in action:
I hypnotize myself a little every time I watch that. I should put it to restful music, might be a good cure for insomnia!
Speaking of the lipstick, it would be in poor form to leave you without the actual advertising photos:
Material: Glass and...resin?
Fig Count: Well now that's a good question. There are figs in there in the water, but do they count towards the fig count? They certainly take up enough real estate to count for 2 figs. Hmmm. But if we're going to get technical (and where else to get technical other than a niche blog about niche merch?), I suppose the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Alright! We're still at 28.
Diorama Count: 3
Snowglobe Count: 1
Rating: Lipstick of loooooooove 😘😘
P.S. You've stuck around this long...surely you want to see one of my all time favorite pictures?
For Color Science? Posterity? The future of all humanity?
That's right you do!
