A/N: Things become a little heated, but nothing too extreme. Enjoy!

Parties aren't Sami's thing, but when he discovers Kevin is attending he offers to be the designated driver since he doesn't drink.

They arrive when the party is in full swing and go their separate ways to mingle, but Sami is keeping a watchful eye on Kevin throughout the night. That is, until, he excuses himself to use the bathroom.

When he re-emerges, Kevin is nowhere to be found. He searches everywhere and finally stumbles across him, laying beside a man he doesn't recognize on the couch who, coincidentally, looks like Sami.

"Hey, beat it Carrot Top. Can't you see I'm trying to get some?" The clearly intoxicated man slurs, trying to make a move on Kevin.

A tinge of jealousy overtakes Sami as he reaches for Kevin's arm, pulling him away from the stranger. "Come on Kev, it's time to go." He says gently, but sternly, helping him up.

"Hey, what the hell are you doing?" The drunken man asks, staggering to his feet. "Get back here!" He exclaims, tugging on Sami's jacket.

Thankfully, the creep is too far gone to start an altercation so Sami is able to shove him back without incident as the pair vacate to the car. As Sami buckles Kevin's seatbelt, he confesses something that makes his heart skip a beat. "I thought he was you."

Sami chalks it up to Kevin being inebriated, but still, he does have a hard time expressing himself so maybe his words rang true? Maybe Kevin really did harbor feelings for him? Sami can feel the butterflies fluttering in his stomach as they approach their shared hotel room.

While guiding Kevin inside, he stumbles, but thankfully Sami is there to break his fall. Their eyes lock and Sami forgets how to breathe.

They stare at each other intently, wondering what the other is thinking. With the aid of liquid courage, Kevin leans in, stopping short to view Sami's reaction and waiting for permission to proceed further.

Sami can't believe this is happening. His heartbeat starting to quicken as Kevin inches closer, his breath hot against Sami's lips as he captures them in a gentle kiss, an undeniable spark between them.

Sami's lips are so soft and sweet, Kevin hungers for more. He slips his tongue inside the redhead's mouth, tasting every crevice with fervor. Strong hands fumble with the buttons on Sami's shirt, pushing the fabric aside to caress his fingers across his hairy muscular chest.

Kevin tastes like Peppermint Schnapps, but Sami doesn't care. Never in his life did he feel something so real. He always knew they had chemistry, but this is so much deeper. This is love. He's in love with his best friend and as much as he wants this, he has to stop. "Kev." He mumbles against Kevin's lips, halting his actions. "We can't do this."

The look on Kevin's face is pure devastation as his chest brushes against Sami's, struggling to catch his breath. "You think I'm ugly."

"That isn't true. I think you're beautiful, Kev." Sami murmurs softly, reaching down to cup his cheek. "You're drunk, it wouldn't be right."

Upon hearing the compliment, Kevin's bottom lip begins to wibble, a reaction Sami would have on him for years to come. "Sami, I have a secret to confess." Kevin replies, his voice barely above a whisper. "I've always loved you, but I will never tell you."

Sami flashes Kevin a knowing smile, his heart all aflutter despite already knowing the truth (he wasn't exactly subtle about it, those heart eyes were a dead giveaway). "Your secret's safe with me, Kev."

"Stay."

Kevin peers out into the ocean. It's a calm, peaceful night as the sound of waves crash against the shore. He could hear footsteps approaching in the distance causing his stomach to churn.

Sami watches Kevin from afar, building up the nerve to confront him. He hasn't been acting like himself lately and Sami's hoping to get an explanation for these sudden outbursts. He takes a deep breath, preparing for the worst as he proceeds with caution. "Kev?" He asks.

Kevin remains silent, patting the beach towel for Sami to join him. He glances up at the sky, stars twinkling brightly. "I'm sorry for my behavior lately, it's just-" he pauses, gathering the strength for what he's about to say next. "I'm afraid I'm going to lose you again."

Sami takes a seat beside Kevin. He can tell right away something's amiss as he reaches for his hand, lacing their finger together. "Kevin, look at me." Sami coaxes, using his free hand to cup Kevin's cheek and focus his attention on him. "I'm not going anywhere, I promise."

Kevin could feel tears prick his eyes as Sami forces him to make eye contact, becoming lost in the warm honey glow. The gentle sea breeze blowing through Sami's crimson locks, taking his breath away. "Every time we're interviewed The Bloodline gets mentioned and I..."

"It's a touchy subject for both of us." Sami chimes in, reading Kevin's mind and finishing his sentence. "But when I was in The Bloodline, all I could think about was you." He confesses softly, his voice wavering. "And when it came time to pull the trigger, I looked at you and all the memories came flooding back."

The tears Kevin fought to suppress now trickling down his cheeks as he nuzzles into Sami's palm, reaching up to gently tuck a strand of hair behind his ear. "While you were away it was a lot quieter, so it gave me time to think." He remarks, his gaze locked on Sami as he digs for something in his pocket. "And I realized that I couldn't live without you." He removes the object to reveal a ring. "Sami," he falters, releasing a shaky breath. "Will you marry me?"

Sami emits an amused chuckle, he'd imagine it must've been quite silent without his presence. His eyes lighting up upon seeing the ring, their initials engraved in the center. "I thought you'd never ask."
