Thoughts on Customs & Player Motivations
Sorry for prolonging custom discourse, but the questions of ‘do customs slow down other content’ and ‘would customs not be a problem if there was more public content’ got me thinking about how the custom system fits into DV’s overall game design. This will be a bit disorganized, so sorry in advance.
The reasoning for thinking of customs as ‘taking away from public content’ is usually grounded in viewing DV as a collector’s game. Item collection does seem like the most notable element in DV’s hodgepodge of gameplay, and it’s true that items don’t come out fast enough to sustain most collection-oriented players, but I also think that the custom system touches on several other player motivations that are worth talking about.
The motivation brought up most by custom owners in Ch*’s survey is just the ability to get one of their ideas turned into an actual in-game item. This seems to be a big part of why some users plan to keep trying for more makers as long as they’re active on the site; it’s easy to have a big backlog of ideas you’d like to see in the game.
There’s also the appeal of having something rare/exclusive, and the desire to get everyone else’s shiny items that motivates custom trading. And of course the profit motive, which I think is exacerbated by how most people find DV’s core gameplay loop somewhere between boring and actively unpleasant. I, for one, know that when I was actively saving for a custom I was considering charging for it, purely in the hopes of not having to do dailies anymore/as much. (disclaimer: I am not a custom owner and don’t currently plan to be)
So besides just having more other content coming out, I think some pressure could be taken off of the custom system by making some of the appeal of custom ownership available through other features. Take the exclusivity, for instance. Most items are either VERY difficult to get (customs and KS) or trivially easy like most permanent items, with very little in the middle. Adding more long-term goal items similar to red heart items or legendary pets, or more easily-accessible retiring items like seasonal items that don’t return annually would help more players feel a smaller-scale sense of having something rare and valuable.
Likewise, the desire to add something to the site could be alleviated by allowing users to add their concept drawings to the site through a similar process to pet accessories. (And either pay a player to draw for them or use a custom maker if the user with the idea isn't artistically inclined). Profit is somewhat harder since any game with an economy will have rich & poor players, but making it less of a slog to get money the 'intended way' should at least help a little.
I'm not super committed to any of these individual suggestions, but I think the general principle of making it easier for users to contribute to the site/engage with the community/have something that feels special WITHOUT needing customs is a sound one. But I'm interested to hear what y'all think, and I thought I'd get a better response here than on the forums.

5 Benefits to Getting an Instagram Viewer
What are an Instagram Viewer and how can it benefit your business? Many small businesses have noticed benefits from the use of Instagram as an effective marketing tool. Instagram allows you to put up pictures and posts quickly, allowing your followers to interact with the images you upload. As a result of this fast and easy content delivery, many businesses find that they are able to convert more views into sales. In order to take advantage of this, it is important to understand how to make use of the tools available on Instagram.
A private viewer allows you to see someone else's Instagram stories without actually logging in to their account. These accounts are useful for several reasons. If you are seeing someone's account and want to know more about them without being able to click their name, a private viewer is the best option. It is also possible to view other people's profiles without logging in using this method, which can help to build relationships between colleagues or business associates.
Another benefit of an Instagram viewer is that it lets you stay connected to someone's feed without having to view the full picture. Some people may not want to share everything on their pages. With a private profile web viewer, you can simply click on a photo or post and be taken to the person's feed instead of having to read through the entire post. This gives you a better opportunity to know what someone is really saying.
Like a private profile page, a mobile Instagram viewer is useful for keeping in touch with customers. Most users have both a mobile phone and smart phone, so it can be difficult to keep in touch with businesses on a regular basis. By using an app, you can access your feed from almost anywhere, including your lap, the subway, and even your desktop. Unlike Instagram viewer tools on websites, the apps are easier to use and don't take up much space on your phone.
The last benefit is that it allows you to interact with other influencers anonymously. You can tell a story about something that you're interested in, but feel uncomfortable telling to someone you don't know well. If you're worried about being criticized or judged negatively, then you can do so anonymously. An Instagram story viewer also allows you to make comments about stories that you're following, as well as reply to posts.
While it might not be possible for most businesses to try kickstarter services, they're still worth trying out if you have an Instagram page. The experience will be similar to using Instagram as a social media platform, but it's more intimate because it's not visible to everyone. For small businesses, it's an easy way to get new followers and attract new clients who are searching for more information about your company than what you're already sharing online.

Web development company Mumbai
In digital marketing system a well design and development web-site is very important for getting a strong brand value.
Do you want to be an owner of a website?
The best web designing company in Mumbai CREAA DESIGNS is always ready for you with 12 years’ experience. We are working as a best web development company Mumbai with providing high level of customer satisfaction.
How Your Website Drives Your Marketing Strategy
Well-designed websites are a powerful tool in today’s day and age.
Undoubtedly, they connect you with new customers. But, they also make life easier for people who are loyal to your brand.
Thus, it’s no surprise that seasoned consultants advise brands to think of websites as the pivotal force in the realm of digital marketing.
They understand all the miracles that great websites can create and regularly champion the value that professional designers bring to the table.
So, here are six secrets that they know, and you should too:-
Websites are Like Magical Billboards
A well-designed billboard primarily does three things:-
● It grabs the attention of those who view it.
● It taps into subconscious desires that people viewing it already have.
● It offers a way to fulfil those desires.
But, unlike digital advertising mediums, billboards don’t provide instant access to the solutions they advertise.
You can’t teleport yourself to a store just by glancing at a billboard on the highway.
You can do that with a website though.
Now, you may wonder how providing instant access to an online store makes websites any better than every other digital marketing channel out there.
Well, the answer lies in the spectacle they are.
That’s why we called them magical billboards instead of magical print ads.
When done right, websites can be larger than life and hold a viewer’s attention way longer than social media posts or video ads.
Of course, we’re talking about well-designed websites here.
Well, the ones that are fun to visit and don’t confuse visitors every step of the way.
Websites are a Holistic Representation of Your Brand
There’s no denying that trends and age-old design principles impact how your website looks and feels.
Nevertheless, the degree to which it lets you express your brand’s identity is unparalleled.
Despite the constraints (SEO considerations, UI/UX design principles etc.) imposed on its construction, a website lets you craft unique, compelling, and true-to-brand user experiences.
Think about it this way.
When designing your brand’s social media identity, you need to cater to what platforms expect you to do.
You can’t use Instagram or Twitter to engage people with an interactive 3D demo of your product.
But, there’s virtually no limit to what you can accomplish when paired with a talented web design professional.
Websites Let You Harness The Power of SEO
61% of marketers think of SEO as their top inbound marketing priority.
Many of them even deem it to be more effective than PPC.
There has to be some supporting logic behind their claims, right?
Of course, there is.
If you run an eCommerce brand, you get an ROI of 317% with SEO.
For the B2B SaaS space, the number grows to a whopping 702%.
In fact, the trend is similar no matter which industry you pick.
The ROI on SEO is just too damn high to ignore, and marketers know that.
No wonder they create content strategies centred around their websites.
Websites Solve for Multiple Objectives at Once
Think about all the things that a website can do.
It informs customers of what your brand is all about.
It introduces them to multiple ways of connecting with your brand (via embedded social media buttons, lead capture forms, and a contact page)
It gives them direct access to the products you sell and a comfortable mechanism to make the purchases they want.
Thanks to SEO, your website even helps people with answering questions that they have.
Simply put, a well-designed website helps customers in more ways than one.
It acts as a central hub housing all possible brand-customer interactions that you provide.
Websites Let You Adapt
Based on actions people take when visiting your website, you can identify holes in user experience and make corrections.
For instance, if customers consistently abandon their cart at the last minute, you can infer that they’re having trouble making payments.
Then, you can implement changes, and analyse for improvements.
Even when you want to try out multiple ideas, you can leverage A/B testing, and see what works better.
Ranging from variations in copy to the position of your CTA buttons, you can tweak different things in a way that maximises conversions.
In other words, your website gives you insights into the needs of your customers and lets you craft the exact experience they want.
And if that wasn’t enough, the data you gather during optimising your website can also educate other areas of your marketing strategy.
Websites Give Direction to Your Marketing Goals
Let’s face it.
Though not all marketing campaigns are designed to get people to buy from you, that’s often the endgame.
And apart from brick-and-mortar stores, the obvious alternative where customers can exchange what you offer for their money is a website.
So, the brand-building you do on social media…
The newsletters you send out via email…
And even the print campaigns you run…
They will all be somehow nudging people to arrive at your website (maybe sometime in the future) and make a transaction.
Thus, websites heavily impact the direction the rest of your marketing works.
Conclusion
You can’t make whimsical business decisions and expect everything to be hunky-dory.
That’s why having a nuanced marketing strategy is paramount to growing your brand.
But, when you’re just starting, navigating market turbulence and finding a north star is no easy feat.
The same difficulty also arises when you grow too big, and have too many avenues to explore.
In either case, having a great website eliminates much of the discomfort that comes with scaling an enterprise.
Thus, it’s a no-brainer to join forces with the right web designing talent, and arm your business with the best possible website you can get.
Most of our clients at Creaa Designs understand this.
They regularly tell us how much of an impact the websites we’ve built for them have on their growth…
And we love hearing their stories. If you’re anything like them and want to empower your website with our expertise…
We’d be honoured to help you out.

A LEGIT Way to Gain 1k Followers on Instagram
Nowadays, Social Media has become the primary way to put yourself out there in the world.
People figure out what type of a person you are by looking at your social media!
So having a good social presence is essential to building yourself (in the eyes of others).
It would definitely make a difference if you have 100 or 1000 followers
in short,
It just tells people how popular you are! And in that sense, the number of followers you have gives people an idea of your credibility.
Whether your a teen who wants to just look good in front of friends, families, or even employers,
OR
you’re trying to make wealth out of social media, then the one thing you need to remember is gaining your first 1000 followers is the hardest task.
But since I’ve grinded my way to 1200 followers on my @lostwithinnature page, I’ve learned a few things and I’m ready to share with you what you should and shouldn’t do!
( Piece of advice: Follow my account so you can always track what I’m doing to grow on a normal basis :) )
1. Don’t you dare use bots or software!
In short, Instagram isn’t dumb and they’ll figure out your using external help. Within days, you’ll be action blocked and even banned.
Don’t waste your time, because suppose IG doesn’t figure out you’re scamming the system, the followers you’ll get will be dead accounts that don’t use instagram that much
If you think you’ve found some amazing software that tells you they’ll help you succeed without getting you banned, and you don’t heed my device,
You’ll figure out the consequences in the long run. You have been warned…
2. Follow for Follow?
Sad truth is that there’s no easy way to get 1000 followers (Trust me, I’ve tried everything), but the fastest way to gain 1000 followers is through follow for follow! No jokes.
But there's a specific way you should go about this!
Firstly, to get to your 100 followers, you have to follow other people who have just started and are in the same niche as you
(It’d be much easier if you told your friends and family to follow if it’s a personal account, but most of the time, it’s not, and I know it feels awkward and that you’d prefer to keep your whole Instagram thing a secret…)
Now keep in mind, I suggest to not follow more than 100 people a day and no more than 30 in 2-3 hours, to make sure Instagram doesn’t become sus of you :)
Please make sure to not unfollow people (until you’ve reached at least 500 followers)
Once you’ve gained 100 followers, Congrats! Now, it’s time to do more follow for follow! ...
You have to keep doing this until you reach about 500, but it’s easier to get followers because you seem more credible with 100 followers than you did with 10!
That will take time and expect a lot of up down in followers, it's part of the process, and keep at it! Don’t be lazy! Once you’ve reached 500 followers, now the fun begins!
See you still have to follow for follow but now you’ll be following legitimate people who like your niche!
What do I mean by legit?
Well, you clearly can tell the difference between an account that's owned by a business/ bots/ influencers or just genuine people who post random stuff about themselves.
Why should you follow these specific accounts?
Well, it’s the real people who actually engage with anything on instagram! Think about it, business accounts, or bot accounts aren’t going to engage because they don’t have the time to,
But
The normal instagram users will because they’re on Instagram to engage! Not build a following!
Now don’t expect comments and likes pouring down on your posts after legit people start to follow you, because they aren't desperately waiting for you to post and they don’t even know who you are,
But
if the post actually connects to some aspect of their life, then they will engage!
Question!
Why don’t I just follow these “legit” people from the start of my journey?
Well, imagine you’re on your personal instagram account and suddenly, some random account with 50 or 200 followers follows you, well, you’re not gonna follow them right?
But Imagine an account with 500+ followers, who has an amazing page (depending on whatever niche, and remember, by 500 followers, you’ll have an amazing page to make you look cool),
well,
then you’ll think about following them if their page is about stuff you like and that their posting that specific stuff frequently, and since you think you’ll be entertained by their page, you’ll follow them!
3. Make sure you’re posting some super awesome content!
From 500 to 1000 will be a fun ride for you, it’ll feel amazing, like you’ve crossed a big barrier!
But
Here's the issue, people think they’ve hit a milestone when they reach 500 and start becoming lazy.
If you want to grow fast, don’t be lazy, and trust me, even though I thought of not being lazy, I still was, so it took me longer to reach 1000 than it should have…
With this, you’ll be at 1000 followers in the fastest way possible!
4. Should I collaborate with other pages to cross promote?
Another way to get followers is by reaching out to accounts similar to your follower size and ask them to do a collab where you post something and link them in the description, it sounds like it should do wonders,
But it doesn’t, in fact i did it like 5 times but i got maybe 4-5 followers in total from it. So, don’t waste your time…
What about paying money to promote my posts and page?
Well, if you have money, I still don’t think it’s worth it.
Now,
suppose you don’t have the time and you need to get followers fast due to some reason, then it would be your only option, but even then, taking the paid path is something I haven’t done and I haven't seen too many people take it either, so try not wasting money
5. How do I know if my content is good?
There is no way of knowing that, but there are some pointers to keep in mind that should keep you away from terrible content!
First off,
Stick to one niche if not one them. Remember! A jack of all trades is a master of none!
Your posts shouldn’t look weird, In short, if they look like most of the posts in your niche, its in good shape
But why shouldn’t I try something different and be unique?
You could, but right now, my goal is to help you reach 1000 followers fast, so unless that's not a priority, then go for it,
But
Even when generating unique content, it's better to do such things when you have a bigger following because small timers get looked at as newbies if they try unique things
6. Make sure your captions aren’t too spammy!
I’m sure you think that by putting in “like, comment, or follow for blah blah blah reasons”, people will follow you, but sadly, people don’t care. They’ll only follow you if the content you post is actually giving them value in some way.
My recommendation for captions is to keep it a random expression or joke that is related to the content in some way. It’s not going to give you better results, but it’ll make you look like an actual person and not some account trying to make you follow them.
After that if you want to do a plugin, I’d advise to go with something like,” Love seeing such content? Follow @”Your Username” to view such content daily”
And that's more than enough
7. Hashtags?
They only work if your content is actually good. From my experience with hashtags, unless your content is actually good, they won’t do anything for you, but if it is good, it’ll do wonders!
One more thing! Don’t spam in random hashtags, make sure they are actually relevant.
And
don’t use the same hashtags constantly, use a specific hashtag maybe every 3-4 posts or you make instagram think of you as a bot…
8. Geotags?
Nice thing to have, takes you an extra 10 seconds to put in a location, it doesn’t really help in terms of reach, but it makes your content’s overall look more nice to see
9. Stories?
Unless you have the time, which most people don’t, I’d just recommend to share your content in your story and leave it at that, just so can have that colorful circle around your display picture to make you look active
If you have time, have like 10 stories running in a day, and place in a bunch of hashtags in each story, it does work! In my opinion, I don’t think it’s worth it unless you have like 10k + followers, but if you have time, why not :)
10. Algorithm?
In short, IG only has one goal, and that's to keep its users on the platform as long as possible. For that to occur, the users need to be shown content that they will love and engage with.
How do you know if users will engage with your posts?
You don’t, you have to figure out what posts are liked by the users in your niche by trial and error.
Another important thing is to make use of IG’s newest features much more. For example, right now it's much easier to get a viral post with reels, simply because IG is pushing reels much more.
Keep in mind, that having a lot of likes or comments DOES NOT mean the content will go viral, I’ve been posting all sorts of content to get people to like or comment or share or even all three, but the results are variable.
But what I have noticed is that if the content is good, it doesn't matter even if it has no likes, comments, or shares, It’ll still go viral pretty easily.
To determine what content is good, research other pages in your niche and see which of their posts have gone viral
How to do that?
Search for pages in your niche
Click on one (a size of 10k to 50k followers would be preferred)
Scroll down and see what the average likes and comments they get on their posts
Now try to find outliers; the ones with much more than the average likes or comments
And also the ones with much lower than the average likes and comments
You can repost these to see how they work on your page
BUT these posts will give you an idea of what generally most people like to like, comment and share!
11. Always engage!
Whenever you put out content, make sure you are active 10 minutes before and after. This is to tell Instagram that you’re not a bot.
What do you mean bot?
Well, do you think a normal person would suddenly hop onto instagram, post something and leave right after? No
Try to like posts in your feed like a normal person, comment on some if you feel like it, i’d advise to like around 10 posts, maybe do 1 comment, and then put your content out.
It’s also much likely that the people’s post you liked will hop onto instagram and like yours since you just posted! Karma! But in a good way :)
I think I’ve gone over most things I could think of, I know most of these things are not what you expected, but it’s true, it definitely isn’t easy to grow, so don’ have that mindset.
It took me about 3-4 months to grow to 1000 followers… it could have been 1-2 months if i didn’t slack off every now and then…
But expect to take it more than a month at least. This is the truth, so don’t believe others when they say you can grow faster. If they show proof, they probably used weird and shady ways to reach 1k followers and it won’t help in the long term…
if you guys have any more questions or suggestions, please comment them down below and I’ll get back to you ASAP, because I’m not the smartest :D, So I may have forgotten to talk about specific things.
Thankyou for sticking to the end, and hopefully this helps you reach 1000 followers!!!

Look For Great Advice About Website Design
Regardless of what type of website you might have, it is very important to be sure that it makes sense the principles of proper web page design. A poorly designed website will drive away visitors and frustrate those few who persevere. This article may help you design a superior quality website and have more traffic. Click here to check out for more advice
Don't attempt to fit too much onto one page when you're designing a site.
If your page is simply too busy it will require a good deal longer to load and may overwhelm visitors. When you're going to be adding a lot of content, create pages for all you can to reduce the clutter on the page.
A business website should be one which is simple to navigate. Links need to be readily accessible and prominently displayed. Menus will make navigation on your own site easier. Make certain each page carries a 'home' link.
Avoid cramming page elements together. Each section of your page must be naturally separated from the other person, as this makes the purpose of each section more clear. The easiest way to separate sections is by using DIVs, but there are additional ways, including absolute positioning (not advised), the CSS margin command, and floats.
Don't force users to set up strange BHOs.
Many tech-savvy users won't do it. Common offenders include unusual video players, image viewers, and platforms for interactive games. For most standard use cases, you will discover a trusted plugin, for example, Windows Media Player or perhaps Flash) that can do what you would like without driving away users.
Wherever your logo appears on your site, you ought to accompany it with a complementary slogan or tagline. Ideally, this tagline must be catchy and informative and really should offer some elementary review of the objective of your site or product offering. The mix of your own logo and tagline should show on every page to make an experience of cohesion.
White could be a very successful color for your background.
Few visitors take trouble with a white background, which looks professional or, at worst, neutral. Text content is also more clear on the white background. Colors, patterns or other designs are distracting and don't have a place online. With backgrounds the simpler, the higher.
File types can impact enough time it takes for the site to load. You are more satisfied keeping the graphics on the normal GIFs and JPEGs thus it loads smoothly. Simply because PNG and BMP files could be more designed for web graphics, they are able to use a lot more disk space. Your graphics must be transformed into the kinds of files that could be managed size wise, thus ensuring visitors have a wonderful experience on your site.
Watch the level of flashy multimedia that may be on your own site.
Don't overdo it with a variety of "extras". Flash graphics and multimedia may look enticing, however, these may make it hard for visitors to obtain the desired information through the site, particularly when they're viewing your blog coming from a non-Flash compatible device.
Selecting the right server to upload your files, it is recommended for site design. You will want a file server that may be reliable, secure and fast. The advantages opt for FileZilla as it fits the bill with regards to speed and reliability. You can choose this or something similar to what's important is basically that you possess a reliable file server.
Anyone desiring to design a great-looking site should think about spending considerable time on the header image. This is exactly what visitors are noticing every time they go to your web site, so having something that's on topic and visually appealing is an excellent move. Creating your own as opposed to employing a premade header is the best way to go.
Try reading online for a few valuable information on creating the initial website.
Online research and expert information will teach you how to create an excellent website. Your web site will probably be subpar without its knowledge.
Many of us are used to seeing the letters "www" at the beginning of an internet site address. But this popular sub-domain may not be necessary to gain access to a site. Make certain that your site works without or with this, while you could lose a great deal of traffic by users who don't realize that it functions both ways.
Make certain that the pc you're using is advanced enough to operate programs like Photoshop and Dreamweaver. The last thing you wish to do is invest money into buying programs like these then realizing that your computer can't run them, this can help you save a headache and time by checking through to this.
Learning through practice allows you to in designing your website to the best of your ability.
Once you understand one aspect of web page design, you need to start working on another. Although this can slow the procedure of building your site, you'll receive the information that is needed to spit out many sites as you learn.
When putting videos on your website, remember that some people may not have an increased Internet bandwidth. A relevant video that is converted to 5,000 kb/s will load faster on some computers, but it might be faster than some Online connections provide for. Many people must wait for some time to observe the recording, as well as the video, may freeze frequently while waiting around for more data to load.
When you find yourself designing a website, you should make sure that your website is available and usable by everyone. It is very helpful to possess a person from a foreign country look at the site for yourself. The information may be displayed differently in numerous countries.
Go ahead and seek some advice from those who are pros in programs like Photoshop and Dreamweaver.
You would like to be sure that you're no less than seeking advice from another individual in order that you don't miss items of crucial information that may be vital towards you creating a website one day.
While you have witnessed, the principles of good web site design will not be terribly mysterious or challenging to implement. However, a lot of websites still ignore these basic techniques. Do not let your web site fall under this category. Put these techniques into practice to create a web site that you could be happy with.

“You must understand what someone is looking to find when they query a word or phrase and you will need to provide them the answer in the easiest way possible,” said Mindy Weinstein CEO of Market Mindshift.
Motoko Hunt, chief executive of AJPR, agreed, adding that the interests, preferences, and preferences of your audience can transform quicker than you think.
“Even if your website content is flawlessly written and optimized, if it’s done for an incorrect audience, it received develops the business enterprise,” Hunt said.
Tomorrow’s high-ranking website is focused on the audience, said Julia McCoy, CEO of Express Authors.
“In case your site improves your audience’s journey, you’ll be rewarded by Google as well as your visitor will spend money on you,” McCoy said.
That is especially important because rankings have been fluctuating within the last year to help fit the semantic intent of the user’s search query, said Jesse McDonald, SEO specialist and director of procedures for TopHatRank.com.
“It'll be more critical than ever before for SEOs and content specialists to target heavily on an individual intention of the keywords they may be targeting while creating content,” McDonald said.
Casie Gillette, older director of digital marketing at KoMarketing, also has noticed Google’s change in keyword purpose.
“We must think more about the funnel and where we want to spend our time,” Gillette said. “Do I wish to spend money and time trying to rank in search engines for a wide term or must I instead change my concentrate to conditions further down the funnel, where purchasers are more educated and much more likely to be thinking about what I’m offering?”
To adjust to the change in 2019, you might have to change just how you’ve been doing all your keyword research, said Chuck Price, creator of Measurable SEO.
“When doing keyword research in 2019, it’s essential that you check the SERPs to find out if websites like yours are rating for a targeted term,” Price said. “If the very best SERPs are filled up with web directories or review sites as well as your site isn’t one particular, then move to another expression.”
The time is currently to avoid matching keywords and start ensuring your articles comprehensively answers questions your audience is asking via search, said Jeremy Knauff, CEO of Spartan Press.
“Ideally, we ought to take our content a step further by anticipating and answering follow-up questions they could have after they receive the response to their initial query,” Knauff said.
2. EXCEED Google Search
Could Amazon and Apple slice into Google’s search dominance? Eli Schwartz, director of SEO and development for SurveyMonkey, feels so.
“I believe that 2019 would be the 12 months that, once more, SEO will not only be about how exactly to optimize for Google, but we must consider these other ‘motors’ as well,” Schwartz said.
As Cindy Krum, CEO of MobileMoxie, described, SEO is approximately turning up wherever and however people are searching - not merely getting the first blue hyperlink. And that means you must understand how to operate a vehicle traffic and engagement for things apart from just websites.
“If prospective customers are trying to find apps, you will need to rank in application stores. If they're looking for podcasts or videos, you will need to rank where people seek out those things,” Krum said. “Strong brands have become multi-faceted, position more than simply websites. Strong SEOs should do a similar thing.”
Jes Scholz, an international digital director for Ringier AG, said she also views the range of SEO expanding to protect presence on other systems.
“Think beyond traveling users to your site by ranking #1 1 in the SERPs,” Scholz said. “How will you get presence for your articles in presented snippets and therefore conversational interfaces, with hosted articles, with content aggregators and other such opportunities to make sure your brand gets to your market?”
In 2019, additionally you must at least consider optimizing for devices, said Kristine Schachinger, digital strategist and SEO consultant.
“For all those with products that may be sold or brands that can take advantage of the exposure, being optimized for a home assistant or audio-only devices can’t be ignored,” Schachinger said.
Eventually, this all requires the best content on the quickest platforms targeted at meet up with the users anywhere they’re via, according to Keith Goode, IBM’s senior SEO strategist, security intelligence.
“The complete search experience is our domain of expertise and control, and our goal isn’t to just drive traffic,” Goode said. “It’s to ensure that we’ve optimized that search experience, whether web-based or app-based or [place another big technology]-centered, to produce the most effective and interesting intersection of the consumer’s needs and the site’s offerings possible.”
3. Organized Data Markup Is Key
Use structured data whenever you can, said Marcus Tandler, co-founder and managing director of Ryte.
“With AI becoming more and more very important to Google, structured data is now more important as well,” Tandler said. “If Google desires to go from a mobile-first for an AI-first world, organized data is key. Regardless of how good your AI is, if it requires too much time to ‘crawl’ the mandatory information, it'll never be great. AI takes a fast control of material and their relationships to one another.”
JP Sherman, enterprise search and findability expert at Red Headwear, said you should begin looking at and understanding organized data, schema, energetic and unaggressive search behaviors, and exactly how they can hook up to behaviors that sign intent so the behavior of search becomes a much bigger effort of findability.
“Contextual relationships between behaviors and topics, supported by organized markup, is the critical trend we need to begin understanding, testing, and implementing for 2019,” Sherman said. “Using information structures, tags, metadata and recently, organized markup, we’ve experienced the capability to give SE's indicators to comprehend this topical ointment and supportive content framework.”
Further, Jamie Alberico, SEO vendor for Arrow Consumer electronics, said you should “leverage your existing content by integrating speakable and truth check structured data markup. These markups are an integral hyperlink between factual fact and the screenless future.”
And Expenses Slawski, director of SEO research at Go Seafood Digital added this suggestion:
“[Understand] and [use] appropriate schema vocabulary on webpages for products, offers, occasions, contact information, sameAs sociable and entity organizations, organizational information, rankings, and speakable content.”
4. Create Exceptional Content
Google algorithm updates in 2018 revealed that Google is intensifying its concentrate on evaluating content quality with the depth and breadth of the website’s content, said Eric Enge, general supervisor of Perficient Digital.
“We tracked the SEO performance of a variety of sites,” Enge said. “The websites that provided exceptional depth in quality content coverage soared in ratings over summer and winter. Sites that were weaker in their content depth experienced compared.”
Enge said he expects to start to see the pattern of Google rewarding sites offering the best in-depth encounters continuing in 2019.
“Google was continually tuning their algorithms in this field over summer and winter, and I believe there is still much more tuning for them to do,” Enge added.
This means if you’re still creating content merely to keep your site alive, that won’t be sufficient anymore, said Alexandra Tachalova, digital marketing specialist.
“The problem with this article is it isn’t sufficient to obtain links, so a slim chance that it’ll rank on Google there’s,” Tachalova said. “Think about posting such articles, given that they won’t payback. It’s easier to do one post that is properly distributed every couple of months than doing several monthly that is only going to get a few appointments.”
What you ought to do is create content that solves a problem - content that techniques motivate, and connects with people, said Matt Siltala, leader of Avalaunch Media.
“When you can answer a question, get a business lead, make a sale, assist with SEO (link constructing), reputation management, public evidence or community building purposes with a bit of content, you win then!” Siltala said. “Research your facts, be the solution to the problem that individuals have, and offer something that is intended for individuals versus wanting to ‘SEO’ the crap from it and you'll always do better in your time and efforts.”
Shelley Walsh, director of ShellShock, expects to start to see the degree of content quality rise in 2019.
“Content strategy in SEO is not simply about answering a query and getting users to the page. It must use language to activate an individual and guide an individual to another action,” Walsh said. “You may still find many too few web pages carrying this out well. More use of content maps and experience maps would help this.”
5. Increase Expertise, Expert, Trustworthiness
Creating and growing your experience, expert, and trustworthiness - better known as E-A-T in Google’s search quality ranking recommendations - will be another key tendency in 2019.
“Even though E-A-T guidelines are written for Google’s algorithm raters, then Google’s algorithm itself rather, it can help us to comprehend where Google is heading for a while,” said Dixon Jones, founder of DHJ Ventures. “I believe this can help SEOs begin to recognize that ‘quality’ includes context. You are unable to rank so easily writing authoritative content if you don't already are a specialist on the confirmed subject.”
Give Simmons, VP of search engine marketing at Homes.com said you should think about content distribution and advertising from a reputation standpoint.
“Hire experts to writer, leverage data from known entities, and ensure qualifications and credit is directed at both, with appropriate affinity to the promoted brand,” Simmons said. “How will you get more of your employees to blog, write, and speak? How will you (the brand’s people) be the go-to source for journalists around your primary topic expertise? Because that degree of experience is exactly what Google wants to power its results.”
Like Google, Bing also wants to incentive E-A-T.
“A significant goal of our rank team is to create an algorithm that could ranking documents in the same order as humans would because they are following guidelines,” said Frédéric Debut, Microsoft’s mature program manager, Search & AI. “You can only just do this at the level of the net by generalizing your rating algorithm whenever you can. As it happens that modern machine learning is great at generalizing, and that means you can get our core rank algorithm to get nearer to that ideal Intelligent Search product view that people keep internally and which we make an effort to capture inside our suggestions.”

I’m sorry if this is cynical, but I’d really like your input on it (as an experience polygon vid/pat stream viewer): Do you think Pat is pushing the after hours streaming stuff because Polygon is ending? Or, at least, to try and maintain the ‘funny video/personality’ fans? I’ve noticed a lot of other polygon vid personalities are doing similar things, and main polygon video content keeps slowing down and changing, presumably in compliance w/ vox media strategy? Have you noticed too?
First of all real bold of you sending this to a Pat fanblog where all I do is make dumbass shitposts and post cat clips, as if I know a single goddamn thing about anything, but since you asked I’ll try to answer as many of your questions as possible. (I’m not mad about being asked btw I just really find it funny you’d send it here of all places lmao). Disclaimer time: I am not in any way affiliated with Polygon or Vox Media nor do I know how they operate behind the scenes.
Do I personally think Polygon is ending and that Pat streams because of that? Short answer, no. However, I believe Polygon’s necessary (yes, I said necessary) and inevitable (yes, INEVITABLE) change in content is due to a lot of deeper issues people might not know about, which I’ve gathered from research and being an idiot whomst has watched Youtube for 10+ years. Let me just say, the last year or so has pretty much been the “Everybody Knows Shits Fucked” song on repeat until we die so this is going to be a long ass post. Buckle up kiddos we’re warp speeding into this fuckfest together.
Youtube Advertiser Boycott And The Algorithms
Every social media website employs the use of algorithms to decide how content gets sorted, and Youtube isn’t any different. That’s why Youtubers constantly ask you to “like, comment and subscribe” because it helps their content get noticed through Youtube’s internal system – such as search priority, the trending section, your homepage and your recommended tab, as well as the recommended sidebar on individual videos. As for content, one of the more effective models was to find a niche and cater to it, something Polygon did by creating Monster Factory and similar humored series alongside their serious content.
And for a while, it worked. Except things change.
Before we get any further I highly suggest you read this article written by Julia Alexander about the complicated history of Youtube’s monetization system, but I’ll try to give a quick summary. Something controversial will happen on Youtube, causing brands to pull their business from the platform until they can get more security on what types of videos their ads play on, then Youtube refines the system to give brands more control. Rinse and repeat. The new system results in a massive amount of videos being demonetized, causing creators to lose revenue and viewer engagement and then request appeals to have their content reviewed by humans, which in turn improves the algorithm. Those most negatively affected by the system must diversify their payments either through Patreon, Twitch, merch, etc, or in worst case scenarios, give up on their dreams of being a Youtuber.
youtube
Youtube has a lot of incentive to keep creators updated on changes, so when users ask, “hey, can we know what’s going on with the website?” Youtube responds with an informative, “absolutely not. Die.” The userbase, as a result, is forced to run their own investigations. Nerd City published a video revealing another algorithm (one just as prone to mistakes) assigns all videos with an MPAA-style rating to make it easier for businesses to decide what sort of content they’re comfortable advertising on. This rating – hidden from both the uploader and their audience – Cannot. Be. Appealed. Good fucking system am I right!!! (Also, please watch the video if you get the chance, it brings up some points about machine learning and how the system negatively affects marginalized creators).
One more thing, do you remember what I said earlier about how a video gets popular on Youtube’s internal system? Well, creators have reason to believe a higher rating attributes to view suppression – meaning their videos might end up exempt from the things I listed. This makes it so much harder for a channel to grow their userbase outside of an already established audience. If you’re following along you might be able to tell where I’m going with this, but if not…
What Does This Have To Do With Video Games Polygon?
Once again, I do not know any of the behind the scenes Polygon lore and a lot of this is guesswork on my part. I’d imagine as a branch of Vox Media, Polygon would have a higher priority getting any potentially demonetized videos appealed than smaller, independent channels do. However, when your own website is reporting the system responsible for sorting and rating videos goes deeper than just demonetization, with a full MPAA-style ranking that’s been shown to suppress the growth of certain content not deemed advertiser friendly, such as excessive profanity and sexually suggestive content, which turns out is a subset of the niche your channel has developed – that’s a problem.
This isn’t me being critical of their content or saying what they make is bad (considering I’m a fan of it as well), this is an objective look at the reality of a rapidly changing platform. Unfortunately, the biggest flags in my head for Polygon happen to be the Jackbox series and… Monster Factory. There’s absolutely no way some of those videos are getting a kid-friendly rating, and it’s possible the bot is slapping some of them with a mature rating – the worst one where enough of those could potentially affect the rating of the entire channel. Griffin, in one of the Spore MF videos, emphatically yells, “come fuck this” to the heavens; lo and behold, a few years later Youtube finally does.
Of course, this is just one of a few different problems Polygon is facing. The Mcelroys left to focus on their own businesses, taking some of their fans with them. Other fans who mainly want the video game news might end up unsubscribing if too many videos irrelevant to their interests are posted. Some series, while perfectly funny in their own right, have trouble breaking out and appealing to a wider audience.
Polygone But Not Forgotten?
I’ll try to put it as softly as I can: almost all creators on Youtube have to reevaluate the content they put out and how it fits into Youtube’s ad-friendly guidelines if they want to continue receiving ad revenue and viewer engagement from the site. This is not just a Polygon specific problem, and as a news channel they benefit a lot more by working within the new parameters. Polygon’s primary priority should be their video game website, where I go to read all the articles that aren’t about video games, as ad revenue is probably more stable and allows them more room for sillier content. As for their channel, the “horny niche” appeal doesn’t have as much of a place anymore. Well, on Youtube at least.
Twitch, however, seems like a better home for Polygon’s familiar borderline type of humor. On a stream Pat said, as the live video producer, he’s responsible for getting their channel partnered which will come with some very important benefits, such as the ability to subscribe. I’d assume creating content for Youtube takes priority over this, and there’s also the fact that Pat is just one person and needs to balance this with other things like “having a life” and “eating??? Perhaps???” (maybe even A Vegetable). By the way, to answer one of your other questions, it’s normal for creators to have projects outside of their work and build their own personal brand, like Pat’s Twitch channel, Brian’s Youtube channel, Simone’s author account and everyone’s countless podcasts. It’s not recommended to rely solely on Youtube for your income, even before the ad boycotts, so if you can diversify your content then do so.
Listen, I know this is disappointing and I know it’s not the answer people want. Youtube’s new system isn’t going away and the video team needs to accommodate for these changes or otherwise Perish. I believe in Polygon’s ability to deliver informative, humorous and accessible content, they just need the time to do it. As an audience, a way to offer support during this difficult time is to just be as understanding and patient as possible, and give the content they put out a chance if you can.
Now I am not an expert on any of this, but if you have any questions or comments you can send them to my main @malarcana and I’ll try to answer them. Thanks for reading!
#polygon#nerd city#julia alexander#gillbox#long post#i cant stop thinking about being referred to as 'an experienced pat stream viewer'#i should have a button with that on it#My Legacy#also julia is leaving polygon now where do i get my youtube news from#i cant look stuff up myself im too lazy#x

SEO TIPS FOR YOUTUBE MARKETING 2019
YouTube is huge. Understanding YouTube’s algorithm is crucial for success.
70% of the time people spend watching videos is the result of clever AI-driven recommendations.
Google’s YouTube algorithm differs quite a bit from their search engine algorithm, which is something that marketers need to acknowledge if they want to create YouTube video content that will do well.
https://www.talkagency.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Youtube-Marketing.mp4
It is often said that YouTube is the world’s second largest search engine.
People don’t just watch YouTube videos for entertainment.
There are countless product reviews and educational videos on YouTube, and with good knowledge of the platform, you too could benefit from some extra exposure.
We’ve done the research so that you don’t have to.
Keep reading to learn more about the best SEO tips for YouTube marketing.
Find out everything you need to know about Google’s complex video platform today!
Don’t Ignore Metadata
Correct Metadata and user input is crucial for SEO on Youtube.
Although Google’s clever bots may be able to extract information even from videos that have no or very poor metadata; a video is much more likely to do well if accurate info about it is provided.
Every metadata field should be filled with the correct information.
A YouTube marketing campaign will have more chances to succeed if videos included have accurate and effective:
Titles
You should always try to include your target keyword in the video title, but make sure that you effectively grab your viewer’s attention too.
Clickbait is great on YouTube since the algorithm itself places more emphasis on recommendations than search results.
You want to intrigue people with your titles, but don’t try too hard—You don’t want them to click away as soon as the video loads!
Descriptions
Your description should use your keyword at least twice and be at least 250 words long.
It may sound like a lot (it probably is), but if you include a lot of information, YouTube will be able to recommend your video to audiences that are more likely to engage with it.
Introduce your topic and list the covered topics by adding timestamps next to them (users love those).
Try to use descriptions that relate to other relevant videos.
Doing so will make it easier for your video to turn up in the recommendations for those videos.
Tags
The meta keyword function for search engines may be defunct, but it still plays a big role in YouTube’s algorithm.
You should always include your primary keyword and other related topics in the tags section.
If you mention other videos or content creators, make sure you tag them too.
Thumbnails
Thumbnails are an art form.
Yeah, you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover but YouTube users do (and you do too, stop lying).
When you play the game of clicks, you either win or die trying.
Choose a picture that stands out and don’t forget to add a little bit (seriously, just a little bit!) of text to go along with it.
Many experts recommend that you include a human face to establish an emotional connection with your audience (plus everybody likes a pretty face).
Closed Captions
Yeah, yeah, transcription’s boring, especially if your video is long.
YouTube’s automated caption feature is getting better but is still not quite there.
To avoid any misinterpretations of your words, it’s always a good idea to provide YouTube with a full transcript (which you may already have anyway).
Include your primary keyword in your filename too and don’t forget to recommend your own playlists at the end of your video.
Consider Video Data
You may be wondering: What does the actual video have to do with SEO? Well, YouTube marketing and YouTube video SEO isn’t just about words.
Google actually analyses the video’s audio to generate automated transcripts, which means that just including your keywords in the metadata is not enough; you have to mention them in the video as well!
You don’t need to spell out the keywords or sound like a robot.
Don’t force anything but make sure you clearly state what the video is about; mention any relevant YouTube channel or video (for example, if you’re reacting or responding to something) to help appear in their video recommendations.
Google’s Cloud Video Intelligence API can identify objects in a video. YouTube can easily tell what the video is about using advanced machine learning technology.
Use this to your advantage: include images, videos and visuals that directly (or indirectly) reference your keywords.
For example, if you’re talking about YouTube marketing, it might be a good idea to actually include some relevant footage of YouTube promotional videos.
We’re still not sure about the actual function of the API (and whether it’s as accurate as Google claims it is), but it’s always good to be prepared for the future.
Encourage Engagement
We may not be able to control what users do, but we can begin to understand how the recommendation engine works and how user data affects it.
User data is divided into two distinct categories:
Explicit user data refers to data that’s based on users’ immediate actions (e.g. liking a video or subscribing to a channel, sharing a video on social media).
Implicit user data refers to data that’s the result of users watching or interacting with videos (e.g. watch time, whether the video was skipped or how many times it was paused).
As a content creator, you can encourage explicit interactions but make sure you don’t go overboard. You can remind people to like your video and subscribe to your channel at the end of the video, but that’s probably enough.
Receiving likes and subscribers is great but audience retention is probably more important. YouTube loves videos that people want to keep watching.
Your video may have thousands of views, but if it has a retention rate of 10%, YouTube will not want to recommend it to other users.
The first few seconds are the most important, so make sure you hook your viewer with interesting visuals.
You could perhaps offer a short preview of something interesting that is said or done midway through.
Make sure you make use of Google’s own audience retention report.
It will tell you exactly when people got bored and started clicking away and you can use that information to see exactly what you’re doing wrong (and what you’re doing right).
Understand Co-Visitation
YouTube’s recommendation engine attempts to map videos to sets of other ‘similar’ videos.
Google explains that similar doesn’t always equal relevant.
The recommendation engine promotes videos that it thinks the user is more likely to watch and enjoy, rather than just promoting videos with similar content.
Google calls this technique ‘co-visitation.’ Co-visitation is a method used to identify and calculate the relatedness of pairs of videos watched in a given session (usually 24 hours).
If a user watches a video whose co-visitation count with another video is high, YouTube will likely recommend that they watch the second video as well.
What does all that mean for you? Well, if you want your video to appear on people’s recommendations, then you need to create links with other relevant videos that you think your viewers may have recently watched.
How do you do that?
Target specific keywords that are related to a certain video or group of videos.
Create videos that target a specific channel or YouTuber.
Include links of your other videos and encourage your viewers to watch them.
Create and publish response videos as fast as possible.
Collaborate with other content creators to exchange traffic and establish strong links between your channels.
Rank High
Co-visitation and a high relatedness score are important but ultimately, your video’s ranking is determined by other factors.
To set up a successful YouTube marketing campaign, you’ll need to focus on video quality, user specificity and diversification: YouTube’s holy trinity.
Video Quality
In turn, a video’s quality is determined based on:
Like/ dislike ratio
Views
Number of comments which indicates engagement
Sharing
Favouriting
User Specificity
YouTube rewards and boosts videos that are a good match based on the user’s viewing history.
It’s basically a relatedness score that takes into account the user’s viewing history, rather than just calculating co-visitation counts with other videos on the platform as a whole.
Diversity
If you want to rank high, you’ll have to provide users with fresh and meaningful content.
YouTube marketing is like any other form of marketing in that originality and creativity are always valued highly.
Don’t be afraid to think out of the box or to try out new things.
Bonus Tips & YouTube Infographic
Always include a clear CTA in both the actual video and the description. May sound obvious, but you need to make sure people know where to go if they’re interested in what you’ve got. Don’t just assume they’ll click on your links or use Google search to find your website.
Don’t try too hard. This is true for all video content, but such a crucial piece of advice with regards to YouTube Marketing. Promote your product in a clever and sophisticated way. You don’t want your promotion to sound like an ad. People don’t go on YouTube to watch ads.
Your videos shouldn’t be too long (but not too short either). For maximum engagement, you should aim for the ten-minute mark. Shorter videos can bring traffic too but videos that are too short may be filtered out by YouTube’s algorithm as low-value content (YouTube wants you to pay to create short video ads and advertise your products on the platform that way instead).
That’s all we got for today!

Perception System Official Blog | Latest IT Industry News and Article
It doesn’t matter what the nature of your business is these days, you need a website in order to maximise your potential. Short of having the required skills to design and develop your own web platform, you’re almost certainly going to need the services of a web development company. But how do you go about choosing the right website design agency to help you meet all your online needs?
Finding a web development service that understands your requirements and can deliver the best solutions within your budget is not always easy. But use our following top tips and you’ll increase your chances of finding developers who are a good match for your brand, budget and working methods.
Work out what kind of site you want
Before deciding to work with any other design partners, you need to have at least some idea of the kind of site you need. Will you need an ecommerce platform to sell direct to customers or is the site purely for information? Will you need a contact form or chat bot service? Do you need a site with responsive design and will you need web hosting? You need to think about all these things and they will help to inform your decision.
How much support do you need?
As well as working out what kind of site you want, you also need to think about how much support you need from a web development company. Is it just a site design you need or do you require a much more intensive level of support? For example, will you need ongoing web hosting? Do you require assistance to set up websites, chat portals and more? Will you require ongoing maintenance or content creation? These are all questions you need to ask yourself before looking for a web design agency.
Portfolio
Once you have an idea in mind of the kind of site that you need you should look at the portfolio of any website design company that you’re considering working with. This will give you a greater insight into the work they do and the type of clients they work with. If possible, try to choose an agency that has worked with similar clients to your own business. That way you can be sure that they understand the needs and challenges you face on a day-to-day basis.
Social media presence and website
As well as the work they have done for other businesses, you can tell a lot about any agency by looking at their own website and social media presence. Look at their Facebook or Twitter accounts and try to get a feel for their personality, check reviews and see if you can see any feedback. This should also give you more of an idea of the kind of company they are, how they operate and whether they will be a good fit for your business.
See the bigger picture
Of course, the main goal of your project may be to establish or renew your web presence. But you should also try and see this as part of a bigger marketing strategy. The website will be the face of the company online and is an essential tool for marketing, but it is also just one piece of your marketing plan. As well as the look and functionality of your site, you need to be asking questions about other marketing features such as search engine optimisation, blog outreach, interaction, communication and more.
Cost
Of course, the bottom line is always the bottom line when it comes to any business decision. However, what you should really be focused on is value rather than cost. Yes, you need to have a realistic budget, but you should also shy away from scrimping on your online presence.
Try to find web development services that offer great value, providing all the services you need for the cost. You may need to be willing to sacrifice some things in order to get value, particularly around showy or flashy web designs. What you really need is functionality. You need a site designed with the user experience at its core component. All the flashy design elements can be an unnecessary cost. Ultimately your money should be spent on a site that’s easy to navigate and provides great content.
Problem solving
Great web design and marketing is not easy and you will inevitably come up against a number of problems throughout the process. You need to try and identify designers who are skilled problem solvers and who can find ways to overcome the obstacles and hurdles you encounter. The capacity for developers to be successful trouble shooters is very important. So, try and ask for examples and instances when they’ve been able to find positive solutions.
Communication
Any kind of successful collaboration is all about effective communication. How your partner expresses their ideas and how well they are able to understand your point of view are essential for developing a successful project. If they’re slow to respond or communicate poorly from the outset, this is a sure sign that there are going to be issues along the way.
Professionalism
The way a development company behaves, communicates and performs should always be professional. With any luck your business will be able to build good relationships for an ongoing project, but these should always be defined within professional boundaries.
Industry knowledge
No one knows your industry better than you, so it’s unlikely that a development team is going to fully understand what you do and how you operate. But if they have experience in your industry or demonstrate that they will make a big effort to work closely with you then you stand a much better chance of getting the kind of site you need. The more they understand your operation the more they will be in tune with the requirements of your site, so any developer who takes the time to get to know you is one who’s going about things the right way.
Follow all the above top tips and you should be able to find web developers and designers who understand what you need and how to deliver it. Take the time to understand your needs and requirements first, and this will make the process easier. And do your research in the right way and you can create working relationships that have a big impact on the future success of your business. Finding the right partner doesn’t always have to be difficult.

EVERY FOUNDER SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ODDNESS
Eric Raymond recommends to hackers fall at various points on the power continuum. When a new medium arises that's powerful enough to win, and the format prevents the writer from his own stupidity in much the same.1 I'm letting you in on the secret early. It's a mistake to write your whole program by hand in machine language. Live content can be way cheaper than networks realize, and the FBI found that their usual investigative technique didn't work. The importance of stamina shouldn't be surprising. Programs are very complex and, at least in the hands of good programmers, very fluid. Starting a startup is really hard. For example, a father who has an affair generally conceals it from his children. I'm not saying that issues don't matter to voters.
The reason is that they can take the very same kid and make him seem a more appealing candidate than he would if he went to the local public school. And not in the trivial sense that the source files contain characters, and strings are one of the liars. Working at something as a day job as a waiter doesn't think of himself as a waiter. If you just start doing stuff for them, many will be too busy to shoo you away.2 Usually they begin with a conversation in which someone mentions that something would be a distinct node if you drew a tree representing the source code. When we cook one up we're not always 100% sure which kind it is. I'm looking for are programs that write programs?
Being poor helps in this game, because your own personal bias points in the same language as the operating system.3 When a man runs off with his secretary, is it always partly his wife's fault?4 When we cook one up we're not always 100% sure which kind it is. And so, by word of mouth mostly, we got more and more users. For example, the good china so many households have, and whose defining quality is not so much that it's fun to use, like English.5 I heard this, I thought he was a complete idiot. Blub falls right in the middle of the twentieth century. And all too many startups go into fundraising in the same spirit. Our early training and our self-centeredness: inferiority in that they are able to develop software in: Comparisons between Ericsson-internal development projects indicate similar line/hour productivity, including all phases of software development, rather independently of which language Erlang, PLEX, C, or Java was used. Their house isn't theirs; it's their stuff's. Microsoft. Similarly for companies constrained in a.
Maybe if I think more about this I can come up with surprising new ideas. Do not start a startup. Surely it meant nothing to get a big idea to appear in your head is not to change anyone's mind, but to most people at the time that would have been too intimidated to start. That's the actual road to coolness anyway. He's at ease.6 You may be thinking, we have a lot of people seem to think they're supposed to be important, because a lot of mistakes.7 The main purpose of suburbia is to provide a service estimating people's ability.
If you want to think about it, because they're given a fake thing to do when you get hired. Why was the cat at the vet's office. An essay can go anywhere the writer wants. They were even more contemptuous when they discovered that Viaweb didn't process credit card transactions we didn't for the whole first year. But there is a second much more common type of judgement where it isn't.8 There might not be anything from the 20th Century that can. But that could still be a bad move, because macro definitions are harder to write than ordinary Lisp functions, and it's different from what they expect of other adults.9 Perhaps this tends to attract people who are high or drunk, poverty, madness, gruesome medical conditions, sexual behavior of various degrees of oddness, and violent anger.10 These are not startups, except in page views, but the way one anticipates a delicious dinner.
When a friend of mine once got in trouble with the government for breaking into computers. In fact these free or nearly free things weren't bargains, because they don't even want to think about what I wanted. But it needs to be able to use them when they're not necessary. It would be ironic if, as hackers fear, recent measures intended to protect national security and intellectual property turned out to be hard, partly because as the company's daddy he can never show fear or weakness, and partly because, knowing how the story ends, they can't help streamlining the plot till it seems like the only way to find great questions is not to change anyone's mind, but to put in a lot of people continued to write machine language until the processor, like a bartender eager to close up and go home, finally kicked them out by switching to a risc instruction set. Because I had to pick the sweet spot for startup founders, getting rich. The hard part was predicting how tough and ambitious they would become. As the roast turkey appeared on the table, his alarmingly perceptive 5 year old son suddenly asked if the turkey had wanted to die, and in the process keep your mind open enough that a big idea to appear in your head. Most of the work of reading an article is understanding its structure—figuring out what in high school either.

In fairness, I use the name implies, you can use to make people use common sense when interpreting it. If you walk into a great programmer doesn't merely do the right thing, because you can discriminate on any basis you want to sell your company into one?
So when they got started in New York.
That's probably true of nationality and religion as a process. Some blue counties are false positives caused by filters will be just mail from people who are younger or more ambitious the utility function is flatter. I think so.
The richest of their core values is Don't be evil. Vii. Free money to spend a lot online.
The wartime versions were much more analytical style of thinking, but something feminists need to learn. That suits took over during a critical period. That's the difference between surgeons and internists fleas: I once explained this to users than where you could get all you know the answer is no richer if it's dismissed, it's software that doesn't lose our data.
And of course it was worth it, by decreasing the difference is that it's doubly important for societies to remember and pass on the next legitimate email was a bad deal. This is true of the hugely successful startups. If anyone remembers such an idea where there were 5 more I didn't need to circle back with a truly feudal economy, at least 10 minutes more.
Economically, the Romans didn't mean to kill their deal with slaps, but also very informative essay about why something isn't the problem and yet managed to get a false positive if the public conversation about women consists of fighting, their voices will be near-spams that you can get rich from controlling monopolies, just as it's easier to make money for the entire West Coast that still require jackets for men. Do you have any advice for people knew to making a vn game? I have a story and characters already planned out but I have a feeling I'll need more than just myself to work on it but I'm not quite sure where to start ahh.
Hey Anon! LONG POST AHEAD JUST FOR YOU!
Meishali here. I’m Anathema’s lead developer and artist! It’s actually a very good question. There’s a lot to do and think about when making a VN, or any other sort of videogame, for the matter. It can definitely be very overwhelming when you think about it, but here are my tips/guide to make it “simpler”.
Break things in half. List what you need; this’ll become your reference checklist. The fact that you have already a story idea and characters is awesome! From that, you can start asking yourself…
1. A. Multi-branching or Linear?
The strength of a visual novel often lies in the “novel” part. Often times you are playing as its main character, as well. First of all, decide if you want your game will have multi-branching (different decisions leads to different outcomes) or if it will be linear (players will just read text as things unfold. It may have menu choices, but most are flavor text, and won’t influence the story at all).
Linear games are easy to deal with. All you have to do is write your story, and get it out there! Multi-branching, however, requires much more planning. Here’s why.
1. B. If you picked multi-branching…
Branching comes with a lot of planning. I’ve talked a bit about it in this weekly blog. You need to understand what “branching” means, and what it implies, both narratively and technically.
Narratively: You need to make sure that if you do separate paths, they must be equal in terms of quality and content, but speak of different things. Multi-branching VNs naturally boost their replay-ability, so make sure that one part of the story isn’t more groomed than the other!
To help with that, I suggest planning them simultaneously. For instance, if your game has two paths, write what the first one will be about, then the second. Compare them, and see the similarities, differences, etc. Make sure they’re different enough in terms of story. If you re-play the game, you wouldn’t want to pick different things and end up playing the same story, from the same point of view, with the same characters! I suggest drawing little boxes like these:
And fill them with brief summaries of what will go down, and which choice will trigger the descending boxes, for instance.
Technically: Code and variables allow you to direct players to the path they’ve chosen. For that, you need an engine to make your game, or to know how to code, or both! I’m using Ren’py for Anathema. It is free, and it has a lot of freedom in terms of things you can do with it. I didn’t know a single thing about Python when I picked it up… I still relatively do not, but I’ve done many things with it I didn’t think I was capable of. Even if I need help from connoisseurs from time to time!
That being said, you’ll need to know how to make your game. If you have your narrative laid out, check out what kind of technical system works best to enable it. Make sure what you want to do/what you have in mind for your game is doable through your program of choice. Would it be through several choices? As in, there’s a secret “point” counter, and every time you pick an option in game, it puts a “point” in a row of secret gauges? Would it always be binary, all triggered by a couple of choices? Etc.
Then practice! Tinker with one-liners and menu choices before getting to the real deal!
2. Writing, writing, writing.
Now you get to the writing part. Everything that is applicable to writing, be it role-play, scripting for theater, actual novel writing etc. Is applicable here. What is the story about? What is the world about? Who are the characters? What are their ambitions? Why do they want to do the things they do? Will they succeed? What does it say, on meta-standpoint? What are your showing to the audience? Who is the audience?
This goes hand in hand with the narrative preparation of the game. Once you know more about the universe and the characters, you can start preparing the scenario, and finally, decide if the game will have multi-branching or will be linear.
Writing a visual novel is a bit like writing a play, in hindsight. You have “stage directions” (when an SFX happens, when sprites leave the screen or enter it, when background changes…)… Characters appearing and expressing various ranges of emotion as they do (sprites and text!)… All with a narrative voice inbetween, describing things that can not necessarily be seen.
We typically write like that for Anathema before coding it in, on documents:
[Background: Plains. Oswyn’s sprite appears.]
Oswyn: “Hello.”
[SFX: Dragon Roar]
(Narration) Oswyn arrived, followed by a massive wyvern!
Like so!
3. Start the audiovisual design!
A tough part! To me, at least. The audiovisual design encompasses both coding the user interface (menus, interactions, etc) and the actual assets needed for the game (background, character sprites, music, sfx etc).
I would advise to do the interface before you design sprites and characters. Why? Because depending on the design of your menu, you’ll have to fit character art and background art differently in. It’s much easier to fit characters and art in a box, than it is to fit a box around all sorts of characters and art.
If you are not an artist yourself, nor a designer or musician, I would suggest hiring one and paying them fairly. If you can not do that, you have no other option but to work on it all yourself: there’s a lot of free resources online as well, from sprites generators, to free backgrounds, and free pieces of music: just make sure they’re royalty free, and you give proper credits where it is due.
4. Code it in! Have fun!
Self-explanatory. Try out the first scene you wrote. As you write, you should be able to list what you need. If you wrote about seven characters appearing, and three locations, you may need seven character sprites, and three backgrounds for instance. Do checklists! They really help.
You’ll have to experiment a lot to see what you like. Sometimes, things in your head aren’t as good when they’re in the game— You’ll find yourself tinkering a lot (maybe putting SFX after a character’s entrance, and not before…) etc.
I suggest also nourishing your mind with myriads of visual novels of all kind to study how they’re built. This will give you a lot of insight on how things can be handled, code-wise, narratively, and audiovisually.
Finally, think about how your novel will be distributed. Will it be free? Will people have to buy it? Etc. Administrative stuff is bound to happen if you do plan on monetizing the game… So make sure you’re good on all legal standpoints, depending on where you live!
I hope this helped, anon!

Happens Dating Site
So, the time has come to put an end to the era of your dating account with your (preferred) dating site. Hopefully you found the one you were looking for, or maybe you simply got bored with the site, or alternatively you were fed up with constantly trying to grab someone else’s attention. Either way, you are looking for a way to finish your online dating session and avoid that you’ll be charged after your cancelation. The process is a bit more complicated than simply pushing a big large exit button, but only a little bit. All you need to know is that there are two steps required to completely shut down your account. First you need to cancel your subscription to make sure you’re no longer being charged, and then cancel your account altogether.
Here are 5 tips to help you spot scammers on dating sites and help protect you from being taken advantage of. And yes, I took the screenshots from actual conversations on dating sites such as Zoosk, POF, Coffeemeetsbagle, and MeetMe to name a few. Keep an eye open for bad grammar. Misspelled words are going to happen especially if you're on. Facebook Dating makes it easier to find love through what you like — helping you start meaningful relationships through things you have in common, like interests, events and groups. It takes the work out of creating a dating profile and gives you a more authentic look at who someone is. Today, we’re launching Facebook Dating in the US.
Cancelling Your Paid Subscription vs Cancelling Your Account
One often mistakes these two, but there is a significant difference between them. To put it simply, when you cancel your subscription, you stop paying for the premium membership, and your account is transformed back to its free (but restricted) version. In this case you are typically still able to access your data, browse your existing contacts, but the perks acquired with the premium accounts are gone. This can be considered as a break from paying the monthly fee. If your dates are going along nicely, but unsure whether or not exterminate the account, this is the comfortable middle ground.
Canceling your account altogether, on the other hand, means that you completely delete your profile, and disable any progress you made so far. We only recommend this step when you are fully determined to end your history with the dating site. In most cases there is no turning back from cancelling your membership, while a canceled subscription can be reactivated anytime, while the basic (free) account time remains yours for time’s being. Even if you are happy with your current partner, it’s good to have a return path to the online dating environment you’ve become familiar with.
Let’s See it in Action!
In case you are rolling with the subscription cancellation, your job is pretty straightforward. First, head to your dating site and log in. Select the account settings (or their equivalent) and choose the subscription or payments menu. Here you’ll find the corresponding options, and among them there will be one related to the renewal of payments. When subscribing, most dating sites turn on automatic renewals, meaning that when a payment period ends, it charges you immediately for a new one. If you wish to delete your account, make sure to cancel in time, as dating sites rarely return unused months of service.
And one more thing: it’s possible to unsubscribe from your mobile dating app as well. The steps are quite similar, here’s an example of cancelling your Zoosk subscription on iPhone.
Cancelling Your Paid Zoosk Dating Subscription on iOS
Apple and Google make sure that the users of their mobile operating systems enjoy a smooth and seamless experience with using and purchasing apps and subscriptions. For this reason they make handling your app subscriptions, including those of dating apps, fairly straightforward and transparent. As a matter of fact, the system is more clear and transparent than when you have a direct subscription through the dating website itself. The example below for the cancelation of a paid Zoosk subscription on an iPhone demonstrates how this works for subscriptions to dating sites and apps through iOS:
In your iPhone’s Settings app, go to the iTunes & App Store settings.
Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen, and then choose View Apple ID, after which you’ll have to enter your password or Touch ID to view and edit your settings.
On the Account page, you’ll see the title Subscriptions. Press the Manage button to be taken to a page that shows all your current and past subscriptions. Here it will for instance show under “Your Subscription” your canceled Zoosk subscription with your options to resubscribe underneath it. If it mentions “Expired” with a date next to it, you can rest assured that your subscription was canceled and your credit card won’t be charged again.
Step by Step Account Cancellation
Deleting your account permanently isn’t much different from suspending the subscription. You just need to look for the kill switch in a different menu. Let’s demonstrate it through three examples for three of the most popular dating websites:
As a premiere trans dating app and website, Trans4Date is a place where thoughtful daters can make a match with a transgender person for free. Contacting new friends or a potential dating partner is completely free on the dating site. Reddit’s r/t4t subreddit is essentially a personals-style online dating forum for transgender people. While it’s not as detailed as more established trans dating sites, this subreddit is designed. Dating sites with trans option.
Zoosk
Open your browser, and log in to your Zoosk account
Go to the Account Settings, then head to Account Status and hit Edit.
Click “Deactivate”, and confirm it.
eHarmony
Log in to your eHarmony Account and find the Account Settings page.
Go to the “Close Account” page, hit the “Close” button, then verify it.
If you wish to have your details and pictures removed from eHarmony’s servers as well, send a request to their customer support.
Match.com
Access your Match.com profile, and visit the “My account settings” page.
At the bottom you’ll see a link: “To delete your account and permanently remove your profile from the site, click here”. Click this link.
The system asks to confirm your intentions again, and then deletes your account.

Whether you love it or hate it, online dating is here to stay. It seems like most people use apps like Tinder and Bumble or sites like OKCupid and Match.com to find the next person they're going to date. But sometimes, online dating gets overwhelming. It can become a full time job. And there are no hard and fast rules for how to do it right. I went to the experts to find out their suggestions for what you should and shouldn't do when you're online dating.
Do stay safe
One of the most important things you can do when online dating is protect yourself. Unlike meeting a potential partner through a mutual friend, you don't know much about the people you meet online. Dr. Jaime Kulaga, life coach and PhD. told me, 'While dating online can produce long lasting relationships and happiness, sadly, the internet can be a place where people scam others and invade privacy.'
Be especially careful when meeting someone for the first time. Dr. Kulaga added, 'When you go out on a first date, make sure that friends or family know where you are going and never go to someone's house alone. Make sure that your first date is somewhere in public (movies, dinner, theme park, etc). Safety first!'
Do use photos that show the real you
While it might be tempting to use glamour shots of you that were taken ten years ago, don't do it. You want your photos to be an accurate representation of you so that when people meet you in real life, they get what they expect. Therapist Katie Krimer, MS, LMSW told me, 'If you are on dating sites, the first impression is everything! Unfortunately, these sites encourage people to judge based on physicality, more than the content of character — that's the nature of the online/app dating game.'
Krimer added, 'To maximize your success in meeting the right person, have photographs that are reflective of who you are and what you look like. The first photo is your first impression — try and remember that when you're coming up with your collection. Don't put up photos that are offensive or deceiving or that don't demonstrate who it is you really are.'
Dallas Christian Singles. 8,542 Single Christians Dallas, USA. Fred Pascarelli. Organized by Fred. Here's a look at some Christian Singles groups near Seattle. Photo: The Calgary Astronomy Meetup Group. Groups your friends have joined. Christian singles groups kansas city. Christian Singles Groups Offer More Social Opportunities! Find new friends in church singles groups all across the country through our growing directory of church singles websites. Make new contacts with people that share your faith and just happen to be single like you. See the map here and select your state. Volunteers who would like to start a singles group with a Christian singles website in their city are needed. This site is designed to bring Christian singles together, meet their social needs and then direct people to a local church for further support. If you have a Christian singles group or singles ministry that you would like to share, click on Add Group. If you want to meet local singles, make new friends.
Do go beyond photos when matching and liking
Even though photos are very important, don't discard a potential match just because of their appearance. David Bennett, certified counselor, relationship expert and co-author of seven self-help books, told me, 'Studies show most people base online dating primarily on the photos. While this isn't bad, it's the main reason so many people complain that sorting through the duds online is too much work, because just because someone looks good doesn't mean they are dating or relationship material.'
When choosing a partner, looks are only one part of the equation. Bennett suggested, 'Give personality more weight, and swipe left on guys and gals you know wouldn't be good for you, even if they're hot. You'll get higher quality matches.'
Do be self-aware in the process of dating
It's easy to get caught up worrying what your dates want and care about and to neglect your own wants and needs. One of the best things you can do in this process is to be self-aware. Krimer told me, 'Check in with yourself before you get out into the dating world or whilst dating.'
Krimer suggested that you ask yourself the following questions: 'What is it that might be affecting/might affect your dating experience? Do you like/love yourself? Do you know what you want and need? Are you ready to be in a serious relationship? Do you trust your judgment? What is your attachment style? What fundamental values do you want to align with your potential mate? Are you emotionally ready? Are you a good communicator?'
Relationships are complex, and it's important to recognize them as such. Krimer told me, 'Acknowledge all of the important factors that make a relationship healthy and work — are you confident in your ability to contribute to a relationship in these ways? If you experience difficulty in any of these areas, consider the fact that they may affect the outcome of your dating experiences. For example, people who have trouble loving themselves will often choose partners who will confirm their beliefs about themselves.'
Do keep it fun
While relationships are serious business, make sure that you enjoy yourself. Krimer told me in our interview, 'It's really easy to get caught up in the stresses of meeting someone — let alone meeting the right someone.'
Instead of letting yourself get stressed out, she suggested, 'Make a conscious choice to think of ways to find enjoyment in meeting new people and putting yourself out there — focus on the process instead of the outcome. If you put too much pressure on the expectation of meeting someone, you're much more likely to feel disappointed or discouraged if it's not what you expect it to be.'
Do keep your bigger goals in mind
I've seen many friends let their longterm goals go out the window when they meet someone they really like, but who may not be a great long term match. Krimer suggested that you keep your goals front and center. She said, 'Do know your goals for what you're looking for — what are your intimacy and relationship needs? Are the people you're meeting matching those needs? Are you getting into relationships with people with conflicting relationship goals (i.e. you want a long term relationship, but your current partner just sees it as a casual fling)? Being honest with yourself and others about what it is you want in a relationship can help prevent unnecessary stress or uncertainty later on.'
Choose to spend your time on online platforms where you are more likely to meet other people with similar goals. Dr. Kulaga told me, 'There are online dating sites for everyone's desires. Whether you are looking for a long-lasting relationship or just want to 'play the field' for a while, online dating has you covered. However, you want to keep your bigger goals in mind when entering some of these dating sites.'
She added, 'If your desire is to find someone looking for a long term relationship, you wouldn't want to sign up for a dating site that is known for short term flings. You are doing yourself a disservice when you waste time and energy on dealing with things that don't directly impact your bigger goal.'
Do use a variety of apps
Speaking of choosing apps carefully when online dating, it's a good idea not to limit yourself to just one. Bennett told me, 'Different apps have different strengths and weaknesses. It may take some time to find which app is right for you. Some apps cater more toward a younger demographic, while others skew older. Some focus more on relationships, while others seem geared toward flings and dating around.'
While most of the apps and sites have particular reputations, don't let that keep you from trying them out. Bennett added, 'Your own experience of these apps may defy the typical experience. Try a variety of apps for a few months and then go from there.'
Don't be lazy when using online platforms
It can be tedious to fully fill out your profile when you're on a dating site, but buckle down and do it anyway. You'll save a lot of time you would have spent going out with the wrong people. Dr. Kulaga told me, 'If you are dating online and have an opportunity to fill out a profile or inventory about who you are, and what you like/dislike, do it!' She explained that this is the best way to find someone who is a good fit for your wants, desires, and personality. You are representing yourself in your profile, and that's the first impression potential matches are going to see. She said: 'Invest the time and effort into attracting the right person.'
When you reach out to a potential match, take the time to write something thoughtful. Bennett told me in our interview, 'Don't use a boring or standard opening message. Online dating is very competitive, and some people have anywhere from hundreds to even thousands of likes, matches, and messages to sort through. A hey or WYD isn't going to cause you to stand out.'
Don't take it personally if someone isn't interested
When I was online dating, the first date usually led to disappointment, and it was hard not to get discouraged and feel down about myself. But in most cases, it's not worth it to take rejection personally. Dr. Kulaga told me, 'If someone doesn't respond to a request you sent them or someone doesn't follow up after a first date, move on.'
Not only does it feel bad to internalize every rejection, it can also keep you from meeting someone you click with. Dr. Kulaga continued, 'If you sulk, ruminate and dwell on the fact that someone didn't come through on a follow up, this will hold you back from meeting the real Mr. or Ms. Right.' She explained that ruminating can lower your confidence, preventing you from putting yourself back out there and meeting someone who is an even better match.
Celebrate your mismatches instead of getting upset about them. In Dr. Kulaga's words, 'Be happy the person didn't come through and you didn't waste any more of your precious time. Move on.' Instead of dwelling on rejections, spend your time remembering what's great about you. Krimer told me, 'Going into the dating world knowing that you have a lot to offer can really buffer some of the potential effects of dates not working out and can help you not to personalize dating experiences that may be perceived as rejection.'
Don't keep dating someone if they're not a good fit
It can be tempting to keep talking to someone, even if a little voice at the back of your mind is telling you they're not right for you. Dr. Kulaga told me it's better to move on when that happens. She said, 'If you are emailing someone back and forth and recognize this person is not a good fit for you, or you go on a date that just wasn't your cup of tea, let the person know. Be upfront and don't lead people on. Not only does this waste their time, it is wasting yours.'
On the same note, it's important that you be honest about what you're looking for so that you don't end up dating someone who is wrong for you. Krimer told me, 'Be upfront about what you're looking for when meeting people. In this day and age, the word clingy gets thrown around a lot — someone who is secure and emotionally mature will be open to hearing about your readiness for a relationship, and you should feel safe in expressing at least a general sense of what you want from a dating experience.'
https://gfriendlighting460.tumblr.com/post/657825314304589824/best-dating-websites-for-19-year-olds. When you trust your intuition and you're clear about what you're looking for, you'll spend more time dating people who are a better fit for you, raising your chances of finding someone you can see yourself with long-term.
Don't jump to the finish line
While you want to be honest about what you're looking for in a partner, don't let your desire to get married and have kids get in the way when you first start dating someone. Dr. Kulaga told me, 'If your ultimate goal is to get married and you go on a first and second date with someone dreamy, don't blurt out the marriage countdown! You will scare this perfect match away!'
Instead, she suggested, 'Enjoy the journey and take your time in a relationship. You might be dying to show off an engagement ring on social media, or you might feel like you are last on your list of friends to marry, but don't jump to that finish line just yet. Enjoy the process, get to know the person and create memories before you drag them into your pre-written agenda.'
Don't play games
You're probably well-aware of the spoken and unspoken dating 'rules,' but when it comes to finding a potential partner, it's better to just drop the game-playing. Krimer told me, 'If you went on a date and had a terrific time, don't buy into the game-playing and rules. Let that person know soon after your first date that you really enjoyed your time!'
You may think this will make you seem too eager, but it will actually help you see if they're a good match more quickly. Krimer continued, 'They'll either reciprocate if they felt the same way, or you will know by their response or behaviour if they aren't interested in pursuing anything further. There's no need to wait days before you text or call — if you like someone, let them know it!'
Don't let them get away with poor communication
I can't count the number of times my friends have complained that the men they meet online don't call or text them enough. It seems like poor communication has become standard in online dating. But it doesn't have to be. If they want to communicate with you, they will. And if they don't, cut them loose.
Krimer told me, 'Don't buy the I'm really busy with work excuse to justify lack of communication — I've had patients who are in relationships with doctors who work 17 hour days and still manage to text their partners in breaks between OR time. We're all busy people — but we know that we make time when we want to make time.'
Is Dateyou A Real Dating Site
When someone you're dating doesn't respond to your texts, it hurts. But don't just brush it off. Krimer told me, 'Don't fall into the he's/she's just a bad texter trap to continuously excuse poor communication. Even if texting isn't someone's main mode of communicating, if they are ready and interested in pursuing a relationship, it will be reflected in their behaviour. They will absolutely find a way to check in, keep you in the loop, and make themselves available to talk.'
Don't rush the dating process
Unfortunately, the dating process can take awhile. Even getting on that first date can feel difficult. Bennett told me, 'Don't expect to get a date right away. Statistics show that around one third of online dating users never go on a date. The number was as high as seventy percent without a date in one study focused on Tinder. These apps aren't magic, and going from matching and messaging to an actual date is pretty much just as hard online as it is in the offline world.'

Instead of getting anxious to 'meet the one' already, Krimer suggested, 'Engage in the dating experience with a different mindset. Don't look at it as a success or failure, but rather as an adventure you're taking on.' She added, 'Remind yourself of your great qualities and that dating can feel exhausting and it can take a lot of time to meet someone with whom you feel really connected.'
