Third Class Dazzle on Sixth LP
By Rick Polo
After teasing us with the stellar 'My Old Gods' EP this summer, Northeast Ohio Indie mainstays Third Class return with their new full-length, 'Haunted Until the Very End!' 'Haunted...' is the group's first full LP in three years, and sixth overall, capping off a career that spans two decades and a whole lot of diverse music. The signature songwriting and emotional highs are ever-present, yet this new record finds Third Class reaching farther and deeper into their own history while looking optimistically on toward the horizon. Third Class aren't one to go placidly among the bustle and haste, but rather offer a quiet resilience in an ever-evolving musical climate. 'Haunted...' welcomes the new and embraces the old, with a dialed up hard-rocking vibe that stands in contrast to the more recently sombre and acoustic-leaning output heard on the last few records. And ROCK they do! Kicking off 'Haunted...' is the introductory 'Watch Our Souls,' featuring Postal Service-like electronic textures, setting the tone for the upbeat and driving "Happiness is My Favorite Thing." Similarly, the touching 'I'll Say It for You' sets up another guitar-drenched rocker, 'Same Key.' A trio of album highlights follow: 'Be My Ghost,' 'It Went Like This (watch the stellar live cut from The Raw Alternative from earlier this year - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-gU9lMTi9E&t=133s), and the slow-burning delight of 'Halloween Begins!' Swirling synths and mid-tempo guitars provide some haunting (no pun intended) and beautiful atmospheres, giving a solid foundation to frontman Lee Boyle's poetic croons. The second half of 'Haunted...' refuses to let up! Launching into more guitar-driven rockers like 'You're Real' and 'Call Me Anytime.' From there, the folk-y 'I Own Everything,' keyboard-ambience of 'Busy in the Kitchen,' and lo-fi hum of 'Holy Alien,' come up for air and provide a somewhat soft landing before one final lift off with the Baroque Pop rocker title track, topping off the record on a powerful note. Where most artists would call it a day, Third Class proves with each record, there is always new ground to be covered. In an already stacked discography, 'Haunted Until the Very End' stands out, not just the new guy, but a new achievement, a new-conquering of sonic ground. The return to more upbeat rock is a nice touch, but it's also done in a way that feels urgent and immediate. This record is a must-have for fans old and new. Catch the 'Haunted Until the Very End' record release party at Cedars West End in Youngstown, OH on Oct. 30, and head to thirdclass.net to get your hands on a copy of this beautiful new record now!

The Battle of Øland - The Battle
On June 1, 1676, a sea battle took place off the east coast of the island of Öland in southern Sweden, which was part of the Dutch War and took place during the Great War (1674-1679). Here the fleet of the Dutch under Admiral Cornelis Tromp on the Christianus Quintus and Rear Admiral Phillipp van Almonde on the Delft together with the Danish under Admiral Niels Juel on the Churprindsen met the Swedish fleet. This was under the command of the 60-year-old admiral and baron and Swedish Imperial Councillor Lorentz Creutz the Elder, his flagship was the 126- gun Kronan, at that time the largest ship of the Baltic Sea with a crew of around 890 men. Second under Creutz was the experienced Vice Admiral Claas Uggla, one of the most capable Swedish sea strategists of his time, who commanded the second squadron of the Swedish fleet from board the 86- gun Svärdet, also one of the largest warships on the Baltic Sea. The third and fourth squadrons of the Swedish fleet, the rearguard, were under the command of Rear Admiral Johan Bär on board the Riks-Nyckeln -82 guns. However, the battle of Öland resulted in two clashes between the Swedes and the Danes, one at Bornholm on 15 May 1676 and the other at Jasemund on 24 May 1676. Which led to small losses on both sides but to great moral losses on the Swedish side.
Tapestry of the Battle of Øland at Rosenborg Castle - The Kings Collection shows the “Kronan” (The Crown) sinking
On the morning of 1 June thew fleets came together what Admiral Creutz apparently found too early as the wind was unfavourable for him and his Swedish fleet. This led to the Dutch and Danes catching up faster and so they could exchange the first broadside at noon. Out of this situation Creutz wanted to turn around and cut off the way of the opposing vanguard to separate them from the main fleet and make them incapable of fighting and perhaps hope that the rest then gave up. According to witnesses the following happened now: in view of the proximity to the coast and because of the strong east wind Creutz revoked, while his unit had already initiated the turn, the risky order however short time later again.
Battle of Öland by Claus Møinichen, 1 june 1676. Shows the explosion of the Kronan
In the middle of the turn, however, the Kronan, which was under full sail, was hit by a strong gust and pushed to the side. As the lowest gun ports were open, water quickly penetrated the ship. Around 13.00 o'clock the Kronan capsized to larboard. A devastating explosion of the powder chamber, presumably powder barrels had shattered inside due to capsizing and had come into contact with burning fuses or lamps, shattered the ship only a few minutes later and blew away the entire starboard side. Pieces of debris and body parts still rained down a kilometre away. With the Kronan, Admiral Lorentz Creutz and 839 crew members sank. Only about 50 survivors were later rescued from the sea. In view of this loss and the finally broken off turn order the Swedish battle line got into complete disorder. Four Swedish vessels of the vanguard also flew without further ado and sailed northeast in violation of their orders. Vice Admiral Claes Uggla saw himself after the almost complete collapse of the battle line the vanguard with his flagship Svärdet within a short time surrounded by several ships of the allies, among them Tromp's flagship Christianus Quintus. For almost three hours the Svärdet fought almost alone against four ships of the Danish-Dutch fleet. The mass of the remaining Swedish ships could not free themselves due to the lee position and Uggla could not get any support. Finally Uggla had to give the order to strike the flag around 16.00 o'clock after his ship had been dismasted and completely shot to pieces. In this situation, around 4.20 p.m., the Svärdet was attacked and set on fire by the Dutch Brander t'Hoen. It is not certain whether the captain of the fireman had acted deliberately contrary to orders or had not noticed only the capitulation of the Swedish ship. The Svärdet was quickly devoured by the flames and flew into the air at 16.40 after a powder chamber explosion. About 620 of the 640 crew members died, including Vice Admiral Uggla.
Description of the battle by S. M. Kronborg 1807
Immediately afterwards, about 17.00 o'clock, the Swedish liner Neptunus (46 cannons), one of the few ships that could halfway help the Svärdet, also had to strike the flag before Admiral Niels Juels flagship Churprindsen and was boarded. About 100 crew members had been killed or wounded during the battle. The Swedish fleet then began to disengage uncoordinated from the enemy and retreat. This settling movement developed around 18.00 o'clock into an escape, in the course of which the fleet of the allies could still take the merchant ship Järnvågen (boarded by the Danish ship of the line Anna Sophia) and the small 16-cannon corvette Enhorn (boarded by the Dutch ship of the line Dordrecht), armed with 24 cannons, from the Swedes.
Summary of the battle progression by Romeyn de Hooghe 1676
This battle ended in a total disaster for the Swedes. The losses were enormous, three more ships were lost in addition to the three largest. 10 were damaged, the commander-in-chief of the fleet, Admiral Lorentz Creutz, and with Claes Uggla also the probably most experienced Swedish fleet commander of that time died. Over 2,300 Swedish seamen had died. In addition, about 650 sailors had been captured. After this battle, the Swedish fleet remained in the harbours for almost a year - apart from individual advances by smaller ships - which the naval rule transferred to the armed forces of the allies. In order to find out the cause of the severe defeat, the Swedish King Charles XI set up a commission of inquiry in June 1676. The commission found that a general bad management of the fleet had contributed to the catastrophic result for Sweden. Although no one was blamed or named directly afterwards, Rear Admiral Johan Bär never again received command in the Swedish Navy. The united Danish-Dutch fleet suffered only minor losses in return. Only three ships were significantly damaged. Only the Brander t'Hoen had to be written off as a total loss. The personnel losses amounted to about 200 dead and wounded. After the battle, the Danish-Dutch fleet initially ruled the western Baltic unchallenged.

The global tractor market is classified on the basis of application type, by power output, by drive type, and by region. Based on application type, the market is segmented into agriculture and non-agricultural purposes. Tractors are designed to perform as all-purpose farming equipment for plowing, tilling, planting, etc. and hence is majorly used for such purposes. On the other hand, due to limited application of tractors in heavy construction, mining, and logistics industries, they hold a small share in non-agricultural purposes but increased usage of tractors in domains such as haulage in light construction and infrastructure projects, will further increase demand of tractors in the forecast period. In terms of engine power output, the tractor market is segmented in three categories. First, rated engines under 40HP, secondly the tractors with rated engines of 40HP but below 100HP and lastly, tractors with rated engine of 100HP & above. On the basis of drive type, the market is segmented among two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. Tractors are significantly used or purchased by rural authorities/associations or farmers. For such communities, price of a tractor is a very significant factor of making a purchase decision, and on the other hand, utilization & performance of machine for their all-round purposes are considered by them while making a purchase. Tractors of engines with rated power output of 40HP to below 100HP and of two-wheel drive are most suitable to the consumers due to being relatively inexpensive as well as heavy enough to perform mentioned farming activities and hence are in most demand all over the globe. However, with increasing utilization of tractor in heavy construction as well as large scale farming activities are aiding the sales of heavy tractors with four-wheel drive and rated engine output of above 100HP.
In addition to that, by region, the market is distributed into Asia-Pacific, North America, Europe, South America, and Middle East & Africa. India and China are one of the largest exporters of Rice. China has 7% of the arable land and with that, they feed 22% of the world’s population. Around 58% of Indian population is indulged in agricultural activities, the country has a total 96-million-hectare irrigated area. Both the countries are the largest wheat producers in the world. Hence, to withstand such enormous agricultural needs, tractor demand in these countries is the most. Tractor market in these two countries is expected to grow at a robust rate to reach around 1.30 million units cumulatively till 2026.
Due to the implementation of lockdown to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, sales of tractors in the end of first quarter and in the starting month of second quarter slightly declined in most of the countries. However, a very strong agricultural & food demand was followed afterwards in the remaining year of 2020, driving the year’s performance to a positive trend. India and China witnessed a massive increase of 10.94% and 53.12% in 2020 as compared to 2019 sales. Nevertheless, some of the countries including Japan, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Spain, Belgium, etc. witnessed a degrowth in the year 2020, mainly due to contraction of production units and halt on international trade. However, the market is seen to be recovering at a good pace and is expected to overcome in the 2021-2022 period. Hence, giving positive outlook to the market eventually.
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. holds the largest share in global tractor market, followed by Deere & Co. (John Deere) and Tractor & Farm Equipments Ltd., which holds double-digit shares individually. Other international leaders of the market are Sonalika International Tractors Ltd., Escorts Ltd., Kubota Corporation, CNH Industrial N.V, AGCO Corporation (with subsidiary brands: Massey Fergusson, Valtra & Fendt), Case IH, CLAAS KGaA mbH, YTO Group (Dongfanhong), Deutz-Fahr GmbH, Dongfeng Agricultural Machinery Group Co., Ltd., etc. which holds single-digit shares.

Global Farm Equipment Banking Service Market Overview, Size, Share and Trends 2020-2027
Summary - A new market study, titled “Global Farm Equipment Market Size study, by Product (Tractors, Harvesters and Others), by Application (Harvesting & Threshing, Sowing & Planting and Others) and Regional Forecasts 2020-2027” has been featured on Wise Guy Reports.
Global Farm Equipment Market is valued approximately at USD 103.3 billion in 2019 and is anticipated to grow with a growth rate of more than 3.9% over the forecast period 2020-2027. Farm equipment are the equipment used at several stages of agriculture such as planting, sowing, land development, cultivation, harvesting, and threshing. Farm equipment includes tools such as hand trowel to fertilizers, fertilizer spreader, harrow, seeder, plow, and high-end engineered tractors. The use of automatic and semiautomatic equipment reduces the costs incurred on manpower in farm. The government support with farm loan waivers/credit finance, OEM/sales incentives to support dealer service and rental operations, contract farming and increase in farm mechanization are the few factors responsible for growth of the market over the forecast period. Further rising government initiatives for agricultural growth and increasing advancements in agriculture sector are the driving factor responsible for the growth of the market over the forecast period. According to Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare, in 2018, Indian Government initiated Micro Irrigation Fund created with National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) with an initial corpus of Rs. 5000 crore or USD 66.67 million (Rs. 2000 crore for 2018-19 & Rs. 3000 crores for 2019-20) for encouraging public and private investments in Micro irrigation. Also, Pradhan Mantri Samman Nidhi Yojana was introduced, goal of providing a minimum fixed pension of Rs 3000 (US$ 42.92) to the eligible small and marginal farmers, subject to certain exclusion clauses, on attaining the age of 60 years, under the Union Budget 2019-20. U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) provides direct and guaranteed farm ownership and operating loans to family-size farmers and ranchers, who are unable to obtain commercial credit from a bank, Farm Credit System institution, or other lender. Thus, government initiatives for agricultural growth will create a lucrative demand for the market. However, the growth of the rental market and high cost of equipment in emerging economies is the major factor restraining the growth of global Farm Equipment market during the forecast period.

Klaus Störtebeker a German Pirat
Beside numerous notorious pirates like Blackbeard, Anne Bonny, Henry Morgan and so on there was also a German pirate. A certain Klaus Störtebeker, Klaas Störtebecker, Claas Störtebeker or Nikolaus Storzenbecher (* c. 1360; † probably on 20 October 1401 in Hamburg), was a pirate and besides the notorious captains Gödeke Michels, Hennig Wichmann, Klaus Scheld and Magister Wigbold one of the leaders of the Vitalien brothers also known as Likedeeler. It is surrounded by numerous legends.
However, it is known that, together with the other captains mentioned above, he occupied Stockholm as Queen Margarethe I of Denmark from 1391, supplying the Swedish population with food. Duke Albrecht II of Mecklenburg, a relative of the Swedish King, was responsible for this. They were then named after the French "Viktualien brothers" or "Vitalien brothers" who supplied the French army with food in the 14th century during the war against England. After their success against Queen Margarethe I, they were hired by Duke Albrecht II as privateers to damage the Danish trade. With the peace agreement of 1395 the Vitalien brothers had lost their patron. In an attempt to protect maritime trade with England and Holland from pirate attacks, the Hanseatic League, and in particular the Hanseatic city of Hamburg, intensified the persecution and fight against Störtebekers and Gödeke Michels. However, Störtebeker is said to have repeatedly escaped the superior Hanseatic cogs with his ships to the high seas. As Likedeelers, as "equals", they distributed their prey justly among themselves and gave poor from it. Their new motto was: "God's friends, enemies of the world!"
Three years later the Teutonic Order drove the Vitalienbrüder away from Gotland. They left the Baltic Sea and found new clients and protection with Frisian chiefs. Klaus Störtebeker's crew was captured near Helgoland in 1400 and executed on Grasbrook near Hamburg.
(The capture of Störtebeker )
The legend wants to know that Störtebeker offered the Senate a golden chain after the death sentence for life and freedom, which should extend around the whole city - which the Senate rejected. When the legendary gold treasure of the Likedeeler could not be found, the ship was sold to a ship carpenter. When he set the saw to dismantle the ship, he encountered something hard: hidden in the masts was the treasure, one filled with gold, the other with silver and the third with copper; he had a crown made from the gold for the tower of St. Catherine's Church in Hamburg. Klaus Störtebeker was beheaded on 21 October 1401 with 72 companions, among them his helmsman Humbert Grobherz, on the Grasbrook outside Hamburg's harbour entrance by the executioner Rosenfeld from Buxtehude.
(Execution of the Vitalienbrüder on Grasbrook in Hamburg. Flyer from 1701 from the Hamburg State Archives)
According to legend, Kersten Miles, the mayor of Hamburg, promised to give life to all the men he would pass after his beheading. The headman walked past eleven men before the executioner threw the executioner's block in front of his feet (according to some sources, he was legged). After the fall of the pirate, the mayor broke his promise and all 73 pirates were beheaded. The heads of the pirates were impaled along the Elbe. Störtebeker's remains, such as his drinking cup, were destroyed in the Great Hamburg Fire in 1842.
(Skull of a man executed in Hamburg around 1400, discovered in 1878 during the construction of the Speicherstadt on Grasbrook, served as the basis for the reconstruction of the facial features, probably a pirate, perhaps Klaus Störtebeker.)

Off-road Vehicle Market Current Scenario and Future Growth Analysis by 2026
Transparency Market Research has published a new report titled, “Off-road Vehicle Market – Global Industry Analysis, Size, Share, Growth, Trends, and Forecast, 2018 – 2026”.According to the report, the global off-road vehicle market for automotive is anticipated to surpass US$ 380 Bn by 2026, expanding at a CAGR of more than 4% during the forecast period.
Off-road vehicles are primarily utilized in three sectors: Construction, mining, and agriculture, and all the three sectors are expanding at a significant pace; however, the off-road vehicle market is expanding significantly owing to considerable expansion of the construction industry. Moreover, expanding economies are a major factor fueling the construction industry, as economic expansion leads to high investment for the development of infrastructure of their respective economies, which in turn boosts the demand for construction equipment and machinery that hold a significant share of the off-road vehicle market.
Request a Sample of Off-road Vehicle Market – https://www.transparencymarketresearch.com/sample/sample.php?flag=S&rep_id=48879
Along with rapidly expansion of the construction industry, the mining sector has witnessed considerable expansion in the last few years. It is another major industry that utilizes off-road vehicles in large numbers. Haul trucks and loaders are majorly employed equipment in the mining sector, which in turn boosts the demand for off-road vehicles. Furthermore, the major players engaged in mining are likely to undertake more aggressive efforts in order to boost their production, as demand for minerals and metals is rising consistently owing to the expansion of manufacturing industries. These efforts are likely to boost the market significantly during the forecast period.
Furthermore, the agriculture sector is a major contributor to the global GDP (gross domestic product), and in 2014, it accounted for one-third of the global GDP. According to the World Bank, agricultural development is a considerably powerful tool that can be employed to beat extreme poverty. Therefore, governments of countries in most regions are taking required steps to boost their respective agriculture sector and manufacturers involved in the manufacturing of agricultural equipment are continuously developing equipment which can boost the production of the sector. Therefore, such development is likely to boost the off-road vehicle market, as most vehicles used in the agriculture sector are off-road vehicles.
The off-road vehicle market is highly dependent on global economic expansion, as construction and mining sectors that utilize a major share of off-road vehicles are highly dependent on the global economic expansion. Consequently, demand for off-road vehicles in a specific region is dependent on the economic situation of that region. Thus, sluggish expansion of the economy may affect negatively the off-road vehicle market significantly due to slowdown in construction and manufacturing sectors.
Based on application, the global off-road vehicle market has been classified into construction & mining and agriculture. The agriculture segment held a major share of the market owing to large volume of the agriculture equipment. Governments in most regions are focusing on the enhancement of the production of the agriculture sector and hence, provide subsidies on agricultural equipment. This, in turn, drives the agriculture segment significantly, while, most construction and mining equipment are very heavy and expensive and are manufactured in lower volumes as compared to agricultural equipment. Hence, the construction & mining segment held a minor share of the market. Furthermore, based on fuel type, the diesel segment held a major share of the market. Most off-road vehicles produce very high torque, which can be achieved easily with diesel-driven vehicles. However, some manufacturers have developed gasoline engine-driven off-road vehicles, due to stringent emission norms and gasoline is considered a cleaner fuel as compared to diesel.
In terms of region, Asia Pacific is the leading region of the global off-road vehicle market, followed by Europe. Most countries in Asia Pacific are developing countries, thus the construction industry is these countries is expanding rapidly. Moreover, China and India are rapidly expanding economies, which are propelling the off-road vehicle market in the region. Asia Pacific is home to a large agriculture sector and hence, the agriculture segment holds a prominent share of the market, as compared to the other regions.

Armed with 16 5 in (127 mm)/38 cal DP anti-aircraft guns and 16 Bofors 40 mm AA guns, the Atlanta-class cruisers had one of the heaviest anti-aircraft broadsides of any warship of World War II.
San Diego was one of the most decorated US ships of World War II, being awarded 18 battle stars, and was the first major Allied warship to enter Tokyo Bay[3] after the surrender of Japan. Decommissioned in 1946, the ship was sold for scrapping in December 1960.
Construction
Launching of USS San Diego, 26 July 1941 San Diego was laid down on 27 March 1940 by Bethlehem Steel in Quincy, Massachusetts, sponsored by Grace Legler Benbough (wife of Percy J. Benbough, then-mayor of San Diego), launched on 26 July 1941, and acquired by the Navy and commissioned on 10 January 1942, Captain Benjamin F. Perry in command.[3]
Service history 1942–1943 After shakedown training in Chesapeake Bay, San Diego sailed via the Panama Canal to the west coast, arriving at her namesake city on 16 May 1942. Escorting Saratoga at best speed, San Diego barely missed the Battle of Midway. On 15 June, she began escort duty for Hornet in operations in the South Pacific. Early in August, she supported the first American offensive of the war, the invasion of the Solomons at Guadalcanal. With powerful air and naval forces, the Japanese fiercely contested the American thrust and inflicted heavy damage; San Diego witnessed the sinking of Wasp on 15 September and of Hornet on 26 October.[3]
San Diego gave antiaircraft protection for Enterprise as part of the decisive three-day Naval Battle of Guadalcanal from 12–15 November 1942. After several months of service in the dangerous waters surrounding the Solomon Islands, San Diego sailed via Espiritu Santo, New Hebrides, to Auckland New Zealand, for replenishment.[3]
At Noumea, New Caledonia, the light cruiser joined Saratoga, the only American carrier available in the South Pacific, and HMS Victorious in support of the invasion of Munda, New Georgia, and of Bougainville. On 5 November and 11 November 1943, she joined Saratoga and Princeton in highly successful raids against Rabaul. San Diego served as part of Operation Galvanic, the capture of Tarawa in the Gilbert Islands. She escorted Lexington, damaged by a torpedo, to Pearl Harbor for repairs on 9 December. San Diego continued on to San Francisco for installation of modern radar equipment, a Combat Information Center and 40 mm antiaircraft guns to replace her obsolete 1.1 in (27 mm) batteries.[3]
1944 She joined Vice Admiral Marc Mitscher’s Fast Carrier Task Force at Pearl Harbor in January 1944 and served as an important part of that mighty force for the remainder of the war. Her rapid-fire guns protected the carriers against aerial attack. San Diego participated in "Operation Flintlock", the capture of Majuro and Kwajalein, and "Catchpole", the invasion of Eniwetok, in the Marshall Islands from 31 January to 4 March. During this period, Task Force 58 (TF 58) delivered a devastating attack against Truk, the Japanese naval base known as the "Gibraltar of the Pacific."[3]
San Diego steamed back to San Francisco for more additions to her radar and then rejoined the carrier force at Majuro in time to join in raids against Wake and Marcus Islands in June. She was part of the carrier force covering the invasion of Saipan, participated in strikes against the Bonin Islands, and shared in the victory of the First Battle of the Philippine Sea on 19–20 June. After a brief replenishment stop at Eniwetok, San Diego and her carriers supported the invasion of Guam and Tinian, struck at Palau, and conducted the first carrier raids against the Philippines. On 6 and 8 August, she stood by as the carriers gave close air support to Marines landing on Peleliu, Palau Islands.[3]
On 21 September, the Task Force struck at the Manila Bay area. After replenishing at Saipan and Ulithi, she sailed with TF 38 in its first strike against Okinawa. From 12–15 October, the carriers pounded the airfields of Formosa while San Diego’s guns shot down two of the nine Japanese attackers in her sector and drove the others away; however, some enemy planes got through and damaged Houston and Canberra. San Diego helped escort the two crippled cruisers out of danger to Ulithi. After rejoining the fast carrier force, she successfully rode out the typhoon of 17–18 December, despite heavy rolling of the ship.[3]
1945 In January 1945, TF 38 entered the South China Sea for attacks against Formosa, Luzon, Indochina, and southern China. The force struck Okinawa before returning to Ulithi for replenishment.[3]
San Diego next participated in carrier operations against the home islands of Japan, the first since the Doolittle Raid of 1942. The carrier force finished the month of February with strikes against Iwo Jima.[3]
On 1 March, San Diego and other cruisers were detached from the carrier force to bombard Okino Daijo Island in support of the landings on Okinawa. After another visit to Ulithi, she joined in carrier strikes against Kyūshū, again shooting down or driving away enemy planes attacking the carriers. On the night of 27–28 March, San Diego participated in the shelling of Minami Daito Jima; on 11 April, and again on 16 April, her guns shot down two attackers. She helped furnish anti-aircraft protection for ships damaged by suicide attacks and escorted them to safety. After a stop at Ulithi, she continued as part of the carrier force supporting the invasion of Okinawa, until she entered an advanced base drydock at Guiuan, Samar Island, Philippines, for repairs and maintenance.[3]
San Diego arrives at Yokosuka Naval Base, 30 August 1945 She then served once more with the carrier force operating off the coast of Japan from 10 July until hostilities ceased. On 27 August, San Diego was the first major Allied warship to enter Tokyo Bay since the beginning of the war, and she helped in the occupation of the Yokosuka Naval Base and the surrender of the Japanese battleship Nagato. After having steamed over 300,000 mi (480,000 km) in the Pacific, she returned to San Francisco on 14 September 1945. San Diego gave further service as part of "Operation Magic Carpet" in bringing American troops home.[3]
Decommissioning and sale San Diego was decommissioned and placed in the Pacific Reserve Fleet on 4 November 1946, berthed at Bremerton, Washington. She was redesignated CLAA-53 on 18 March 1949. 10 years later, she was struck from the Naval Vessel Register, on 1 March 1959.[3] Sold in December 1960 to Todd Shipyards, Seattle, WA.

Autonomous and Semi-autonomous Tractors Market: Emergence of Advanced Technologies and Global Industry Analysis
Transparency Market Research has published a new report titled, “Autonomous & Semi-autonomous Tractors Market – Global Industry Analysis, Size, Share, Growth, Trends, and Forecast, 2018 – 2026”. According to the report, the global autonomous & semi-autonomous tractors market is anticipated to surpass US$ 9 Bn by 2026, expanding at a CAGR of more than 25% during the forecast period.
Market for autonomous and semi-autonomous tractor is likely to expand significantly during the forecast period, owing to the high rate of adoption of technology among farmers in order to boost the production of their farms. Specifically, the driverless tractors market is expected to expand in developed regions such as North America and Europe; however, the rate of adoption of driver-assisted tractors, which comprise steering-assist and land monitoring systems, is expected to rise remarkably in developing countries such as India, China, and Brazil. Rising population is boosting the demand for agricultural products; however, contraction in availability of agriculture land is prompting people to adopt highly advanced technologies, which can contribute to enhanced production.
In the first decade of the 21st century, precision agriculture enhanced the production of farms remarkably in the U.S., which encouraged other countries in other regions to adopt advanced technologies in order to increase production of their farms and follow better land management techniques. Manufacturers are likely to focus on semi-autonomous tractors in developing countries, while the market for fully driverless tractors is likely to expand rapidly in developed countries, such as the U.S., Canada, France, and the U.K. The rate of adoption of driver-assisted autonomous tractors in developing regions is anticipated to be higher than fully autonomous tractors owing to the high cost of fully autonomous tractors.
