"Yep! These are all made by me." Taka smiled, proud of his work. "I don't just do weapons and armor though. I work for a metal fabricator where I make everyday things, like fences and nails and hinges."

Taka entered the animatronic shop, tools and things he might need in his bag. "Woah." He whispered as he looked around at the shop. The metalwork used to create the endoskeletal shell and the wiring used to create them are fascinating. If this project goes well, Taka believes that a new source of technological advancement is possible.

Field Medic Taka and his interactions with class 78? Or at least the ones you haven’t talked about. Sayaka, Leon, Makoto, Chihiro etc?

Heck yeah.

To make up for his lack of hall monitor-y duties, I can see Medic!Taka being pretty intense about avoiding potential injuries within the student body. You could argue that he's paranoid, but given that he's seen people get hurt in so many ways, it makes sense.

He hates high heels. They're a tripping hazard! They limit one's ability to move quickly to evade danger! So Taka has a bad habit of hovering near Junko and Sayaka whenever they're wearing them (which is decently often, especially on Junko's part). One might think he's just into girls in high heels. But in reality he's just ready to catch them if they fall.

Sayaka definitely notices and assures him that she knows how to walk in heels (it doesn't make him less nervous). She thinks he's sweet, if a bit intense.

Junko definitely uses it to annoy him. She starts wearing ridiculously high heels. Taka nearly has a heart attack.

Speaking of Sayaka and Junko, I can see Taka regularly checking up on them. He's aware that their respective industries can be very strict when it comes to body shapes. He wouldn't want either of his classmates hurting themselves to keep a slim figure!!

I can also see him getting on Chihiro and Hifumi's cases. He doesn't care what their talents are! Looking at screens for such long hours isn't healthy!! Not to mention all the junk food! And those all nighters spent watching anime? A nightmare.

(Taka regularly spends entire nights helping people in poor communities in need of help. He does not realize the potential hypocrisy)

Speaking of those two for a second. Hifumi and Chi, after weeks of regular lectures about the importance of healthy diet and exercise, finally make a deal with Taka. They'll start picking up healthier diets if he takes every other Saturday off. No studying, no working out. Just a chill day.

Taka VERY reluctantly agrees. They start trying to get him into anime. He doesn't like most of them because they aren't realistic. But he DOES like Cells At Work. It makes him feel like he's almost studying. (also because I got into CaW recently-)

(Also, I will take the headcanon that Hifumi and Chi watch anime together to my grave)

Also bonus class 77 interaction. If you get Nekomaru and Medic!Taka in the same room...good luck. You aren't leaving until Taka gives you a look over, then the two of them create an entire exercise plan for you, including diet recommendations. Their respective interest in health blends together into a monster of shouting and demands of self care.

Perhaps Taka goes just a bit health crazy in his first few weeks in HP. Because until then, he's only really been able to deal with basic injuries. Cuts, gunshots wounds, ect. Not that those are simple, but they're immediate. A field medic isn't qualified to deal with long term malnutrition really.

But suddenly he not only has access to that type of info, but also to the resources. Taka knows firsthand how hard it can be to eat healthy on a budget, but at HP that ideal is a possibility. So he's absolutely pushing his classmates to take advantage of that opportunity and to eat as healthily as possible.

Taka's talent might be dealing with wounds, but that doesn't mean he isn't invested in people treating their bodies well BEFORE they get hurt.

Also, I imagine Hiro would be pretty surprised when he realizes just how comfortable Taka is around a LITERAL Yakuza leader. He thinks that Taka might help him get out of his debt. Taka refuses to abuse his leverage. Hiro should take responsibility for his debts!!

RIP Hiro, no easy way out for you.

"Sometimes. It's mostly my engineering courses that give way too much homework than necessary." At least it feels like that to Taka. This is first time in a school setting so he's not sure if that's normal. "Is that normal for this place to get a lot of homework?"

"in the meantime, we can hang out for a couple hours." mindy said hoping to soften the blow a bit. though she did have to work that evening. "have you been getting crazy homework too?"
