Yay now I gotta explain the one and definitely only, Sarkar'thor. Or just Sark (or Sarkar) for short (not NM version).

He's your typical edgy evil EXE OC, whose main goal is to enslave all of humanity and turn them into his perfect playthings to pull into his realm/dimension and toy with them for all eternity, he's an Eldritch entity, maybe even a God, as he claims to be.

He created Sari as a potential partner in his tyranny to be on his side because apparently this loser wanted a girlfriend. Which he promptly made sure she'd only obey him and only him (this shit already sounds cringey, I hate him, but also love writing him, getting bullied/j) if she ever disobeyed him he'd just reset her mind and make her obey him by force, control her thoughts and actions. Besides... "She's his creation", he made her look exactly like him with some differences like her height and her quil shape. After a few years she started to form some type of identity struggle asking if she's even her own person or if she's just a puppet for this monsters desires. Eventually like in Sari's post she did rebel against him after several trials and errors, and gained her own control over her body, becoming one of the very few "good" EXEs. All because of this hedgehog.

Sarkar is highly egotistical and narcissistic, sadistic, he doesn't take many things seriously since he's got all the time in the world thinking humanity is already in his grasp he's just buying himself some time, he loves seeing others fall beneath him and squirm, he does it all because it's entertainment to him and gives him a sense of power, so yeah he's rather emotionally, mentally and physically abusive. (Hate him, now) He doesn't like it when people disobey him, or when things don't go his way or get out of hand. He'll get irritated and even enraged, almost childish-like tantrums. But will quickly regain himself once he got ahold of the situation or thought of some "Evil Plan" to counter it and regain control. Though he may be childish, he's quite the clever sly fox and can manipulate someone's trust and use them to his advantage to further aid his ego and his goal, especially if they're human.. If he gets a human to trust him enough to play the game, he'll pull them through the screen and into his game so he can torment them.

His game, like any EXE is like a virus, one of those pop-up fake sonic games you see on those like websites? It's like that, it also can still be by disc, you'll just randomly have that disc show up on your doorstep in a box or already inside your house, it all depends if the human bait takes it and plays the game. Which the game plays like a normal sonic game long enough to keep your attention so when you're to focused on finishing the level, he can drag you inside and toy with you, everything in the game is made by him so the characters are all his doing, they're just husks waiting for a soul to inhabit them.

The reason he even took the shape of a.. Blue anthropomorphic hedgehog that runs fast is because when he was created via the Void, with his brother he and him thought it would be so funny to take the forms of the same character and toy with humans as a cruel sick joke between themselves, thinking it wouldn't really go that well but was so surprised on how easily they were able to trick humans into their trap and get souls.

Bonus:

- He's a lot like Lord X, in fact (in my series) they're brothers. X is based off classic Sonic's shape and form, while Sarkar is based off of modern Sonic. It's just X is more cold and calculated, but still likes goofing off like him (and teasing him, in fact that's one of his favorite gags he likes pulling off). While Sarkar is more cruel and sadistic, but very.. Very childish. Like he gets angry fast, and X finds that easy to toy with him to get his reaction, just as much as Sarkar toys with his prey to get their reactions.

- Sarkar has such a fascination towards like.. Himself he likes staring at himself in the mirror, like his ego is more inflated than the world's largest blimp, like he seriously created his girlfriend to be exactly like him and look like him but female so he can basically say "Hey, I fucked myself" so Sari's existence is nonchalantly a joke to him. I mean her name is just ONE letter away from his? "Sar-i-" and "Sar-k-". I'm so glad she got away from this controlling abusive loser and began a better life she deserves better.

- Sarkar's canon height is 5'1ft, so yeah Sari honestly could like crush him 💀, he still doesn't know why she was born so huge but he liked it and kept it.

- He's oddly British, like his accent is British, one of those rough aggressive sounding ones, I don't know how to describe it. He just has that.

- The day I created this sick bastard was November 7th, 2022 so this guy is a Scorpio, fitting.

PostwickShip Fic Ideas

So I beat the main game of Pokémon Sword this past weekend, and I have been COMPLETELY obsessed with this adorable ship — to the point where I have been writing down all these ideas for a fic for it, and I just really needed to put the words to paper (or google doc, I guess) and share them! @kuumamochi - here ya go!

So quick note, I changed their ages so she, Hop, Bede, and Marnie are all around 16 instead of 10-12, and I actually made an OC for this to use instead of the base Gloria/Yuuri, so first some little details about her!

Called: Lizzie

Age: 16 (birthday - Spring)

Hair: long, caramel blonde; usually tied back into to twin braids with side-swept bangs

Eyes: large, round, icy blue eyes (get darker closer to the center)

Starter: Sobble  (nicknamed “Darcy”, like from Pride and Prejudice)

Likes: strawberries, hydrangeas, warm blankets, and a good book

Leon gave Hop his first Pokemon (Wooloo) right before he left on his Pokemon journey

Lizzie was a little jealous and wanted one too

Leon said he could catch her one, but then Hop one-upped him and said he’d find her a shiny Wooloo instead

Lizzie agreed to let Hop find one, and hasn’t tried to catch one until he finds her a shiny Wooloo

It’s been six years since this, and he’s still looking

Lizzie realized she had a crush on Hop when he came over to cheer her up after being stood up for a date at age 13

They watched Pokemon league matches while eating ice cream until they finally passed out on the floor at about 3am

Hop turned 16 first, and should have been the first to go on his Pokemon journey, but insisted on staying another six months until Lizzie’s birthday so that they could go on their journey together

Hop realizes he might have a crush on her right before they start their journey, when they both reach for the Wishing Stones

He sees her eyes light up in the stones’ glow, and gets the “oh no, emotions” feeling in his gut

Their Journey Begins:

Lizzie gets her Sobble because it reminds her of her childhood self

She wants to be for Sobble what Hop was for her

She names him Darcy, after the character in her favorite book

Hop is only a little jealous she named her first Pokemon after the love interest to the character that shares her name (No, Liz, I didn’t read it, you just talk about it all the time and I can’t escape it!)

In the Slumbering Weald, they get separated in the fog, and have to try and find each other as well as the lost Wooloo

They don’t see the sword or shield Pokemon until they find each other again, holding hands to not get lost again

They’re still holding hands when they wake up after passing out in the fog

Lizzie’s second Pokemon and Hop’s third Pokemon are a pair of Rookidee, who they help out and that choose to stay with them

The two bird Pokemon bicker like an old married couple half the  time they’re together, but cuddle and coo at each other and hate to be apart for too long

Hop, oblivious: “Look, they’re just like us! Best friends who can’t be kept apart!”

Lizzie: *facepalm*

They travel together all the way to Motosoke, camping together in the Wild Area

Lizzie teaches Hop how to cook, so as not to starve or poison any of his Pokemon or himself

His Pokemon are forever grateful

After opening ceremonies, they take on different gyms

Lizzie starts with Milo’s, while Hop takes on Nessa’s first, then they switch and meet back up in Motosoke for Kabu’s badge challenge

This starts as the longest either of them have ever been apart, and they’re both nervous while putting on a brave front

Just about every battle they’ve ever had has either ended in a draw, or been cut off by something

They don’t find out who is the “stronger trainer” of the two until the Semi-Finals

Guide to my Aster-Related posts

I know I promised to do this like months ago, but I got dissuaded because of my low self-esteem. No matter what, I have a bad habit of believing that people don’t really care about my OCs, even though I’ve seen plenty of instances where that isn’t true. 

Maybe higher self-esteem can be my new year’s resolution, huh?

The Aster Empire is a universe I created for an OCT Entry in which a royal family called the Mazdaks rule over a space empire where they conquered 5 five suns’s worth of planets, starting with complete domination of their home planet, Aster. I based the society on ancient Persia and other ancient middle-eastern civilizations.

A special note about the royal family, is that the crown is only ensured to the last sibling alive, after their father’s death. Thus, fratricide ensues immediately after the last Great King Dies.

A partially-finished post of the history of their royalty can be found here. Someday, when I finish and revise the bios of each of the characters, it will be posted here. There are already some errors, such as the fact that Neferure isn’t mentioned on the family tree. While she isn’t a Mazdak or royalty, she is important.

After this, things get a little more complex. I’m a big fan of AUs/Alternate Universes and therefore there are a few which I’ve made comics for. I will now be using the following. 

1)  #Aster Good Ending

The main plot line of the OCT and comics I make that take place afterwards. These comics often take place on Planet Retria, where the protagonists end up after the end of the tournament. It is Pyrrhus’s home planet. Niloofar becomes queen in this AU, which is the best outcome.

2)  #Aster Bad Ending Esta Dies / Esta Dies

Cyrus manages to kill all his siblings off and reigns as king. Pyrrhus and Esta secretly have a child who Cyrus raises as his own.

3)  #Aster Bad Ending Esta Lives / Esta Lives

This is an AU in which Esta would become the Queen of Kings, the female title of the Great King. Sometimes these figures are referred to as The Great Queen, or the Female Great King. Esta’s survival depended on Pyrrhus organizing the deaths of all her siblings. It saved Esta’s life, but ultimately placed a rift in their relationship. Esta feels guilty for being alive, and Pyrrhus does not understand why she isn’t more thankful. 

4)  #Aster Queen Esta I

While not technically an AU, this time period refers to Esta Shohreh’s Great Grandmother. Queen Esta I was the only female, absolute monarch to hold the Aster Empire’s crown until Queen Niloofar I. This serves as a prequel to all previous tags. 

There are also several characters that I usually tag by name because they’re the ones I usually use. Please note that their posts can refer to several different AUs or plot-lines. 

#Esta Mazdak / #Esta Shohreh Mazdak

Princess Esta Shohreh Mazdak was the protagonist of my OCT entry, and is still the character I draw the most. She’s often seen with Pyrrhus Libertus, her boyfriend and later spouse.

#Pyrrhus Libertus

(Outfit above is not canonical, but the eye-patch is) Pyrrhus Libertus, also known by his birth name Alcibiades Megalos, was a previously-enslaved servant of the Aster royal family, specifically Esta. He’s a manipulative character, which is why he’s my favorite next to Esta. He’s also often depicted in a love-triangle with Cyrus and Esta.

#Cyrus Mazdak / King Cyrus 13

Esta’s oldest brother, and only full sibling. (It’s a long story and explained in the OCT). He’s Esta’s main adversary for the majority of the tournament, even if he wasn’t physically there, he loomed as a psychological threat. Cyrus is missing an eye because of an injury he sustained during capture. He spent one year of his life imprisoned by an enemy force. He also had a crush on Pyrrhus. Pyrrhus’s rejection ultimately resulted in Cyrus taking his eye. Due to the hyper-conservative nature of the Aster Empire, Cyrus spent his life closeted. While a villain, he is also a victim of the world he grew up in.

#Niloofar Mazdak

The only child who was actually worthy of the throne without becoming (a) a passive ruler who let their spouse act however they wished or (b) a violent tyrant. She dethroned Cyrus, imprisoned him for life, and used her power to end the absolute monarchy. She is Esta and Cyrus’s half-sister.

Pema the Fox

Name: Pema the Fox

Nickname(s): Pem, Square Head (the latter jokingly by her co-worker Philomena)

Job: Employee of an Adoption Centre near Station Square.

Gender: Female

Age: 20

Species: Tibetan Sand Fox

Family: Mother (passed away), Father

Sexuality: Homosexual

Relationship: Single

Misc:

Gives the children dancing lessons (as a form to entertain them and to keep the occupied)

Is rumored to be actually a witch because she seems always to know if someone causes troubles and due of her emotionless facial expression (it’s actually her good hearing )

She likes swing music and the dance

The only person in the whole orphanages who likes to drink bitter lemon soft drinks (it’s her favorite refreshment actually)

Appearance:

Pema is a young Tibetan Sand fox with a height of 110 cm (3.60 feet*) and weights around ~35 kilogram (77 pounds**)

The color of her eyes is a heavy orange-yellow similar to Mirabelle plums***

Her hair is shoulder long and an in-between of the majority being straight but also slightly curly hair which grows a bit lighter around her forehead , her eyebrows appear to be tender and also slim. Her natural hair color is a mix of sand brown and Spanish grey which overall seems to be the color of her whole fur.  (The brown is more dormant on the backside whilst the grey is stronger on the front side with the exception of the tummy area which bears a white oval spot)

Casual she wears a caramel colored silk vest with shining metallic buttons under it is a morning blue colored shirt, the trousers are made out of plain grey fabric and bear the same color like her dancing shoes (flat soles) with laces.

In winter Pem prefers an ash grey winter coat with charcoal black buttons, dark grey moon-boots together with butterscotch colored wool socks.

For summer on a hot day the Tibetan Sand Fox wears a short sleeved carmine red shirt together with a trousers that go to the knees and have a lighter shade of grey than her casual trousers. Her shoes are switched to sandals with the same grey as her pants.

Personality: People, especially children would say one first glance that Pema seems to be a person that follows the rules she as a caretaker in the orphanages is obligated to by the book. She is strict, has a personality that might seems to be a mix of being coldly and done with the world at the same time but like her co-worker Philomena she takes her job very seriously, even if sometimes it might not appear to be the case. Different than her colleague she prefers to have a job done as soon as possible so she can focus on something else, which does not mean that if a child is in need she ignores them, instead she prefers if it’s possible to find a good, fast but also lasting solution both can be happy with.

Instead of coffee the Tibetan fox seeks exercises like dancing or singing as a way to keep herself motivated but also awake. If time allows a little break she’s mostly found outside of the orphanage either way in the forecourt or the kitchen since cooking is next of dancing a hobby of the fox.

Despite her cool, sometimes bored sometimes even uncaring facial expression Pem like her co-worker tries everything to keep the children away from any harm and danger seeking to make sure every child is save before trying to fend off whatever ill intentioned being tries to harm the orphanage together with the children. Due of her inexperience she had a long time towards children but also other people she appears at first to be shut inside herself but opens up with time. Al thought not as good with children as her co-worker, given her younger age she tries to be there for the children if they have questions or just want to talk with her as long  as time allows it. (meaning if not something more important or crucial happens at the same time).

Like Philomena she likes to sing with the children or dancing with them but also like to play with them games, outside either way sports or showing them nature, if it’s too cold, it’s raining or it gets too dark she does not mind reading a book with them or playing board games.

Unlike her co-worker grizzly bear her patience is not as strong as the bears, loosing it does not result in screaming but rather in giving them fair warnings or in the worst case giving them cleaning duty (dusting of the windowsill or the floor) ,extra duty of washing the dishes with her, to cook with her or to sort the books (who often get mixed up) Often it’s not the children that make her frustrated but either way when news about the Eggman Army comes into the news or if the government of Station Square comes up to say that two people alone with a building full of children are clearly enough to take care of the orphanage. Filling her with a bit of anger she cools of by walking around the house.

History:

Originally from a small mountain village in Yurashia that belonged to a small peaceful country there , her parents had to flee with a young Pena when their country met the same unfortunate fate like many by being invaded by an aggressive militaristic clan and later by Eggman via his Eggman Clan Army led by the feared conquering storm. Having to witness her mother dying due of the straining escape, the loss of her home together with a serious wound it shaped the young sand fox forever. Together with her father they went for help to Northamer and like many others remained there where they would move to Station Square. Influenced by this new and at first strange culture Pena grew up with a fondness for dancing and Northamer music especially in the jazz and Swing genre of the past but also the present (“modernized swing”) but also liking music in common.

Due of her interests her father, working in a pottery (later after attending evening classes he became a journalist) fulfilled her wish to send her to a Junior High School with the focus on music and acting where she also learned how to play the clarinet. Having finished the school one of her music teachers recommended to her that in her time of committed military service (law in Northamer requires that every 18 year old attends nine month of military basic training) to chose playing in the military music which according to him would, if she did good give her positive recommendation that would help her to be let in a higher school.

Although at first reluctant to let his only daughter go into military service given his experience with the militaristic clan he agreed after a long talk only if she would promise him to  really chose a “more peaceful” department like the from her already favored marching band , medic or being in the field kitchen.

Ready to do her service and only a few steps away from her goal her mirror got shattered when on the medical examination she got declared by the doctor as unfit for serving the military (due to a clerical error and the doctors believing her to be a very short Maned Wolf but also due of differences between the meaning and reason of war she had with some military higher up during a discussion) Having no other option left Pema chose the alternative civic service who promptly appointed her to a nine month service to an Orphanage outside of Station Square solely led by a middle aged grizzly bear with the name Philomena.

Working for the first time with children was for the sand fox a pain in the back, not because she had something against them, but rather due of being an only child and her inexperience with people who where many years younger than her it made her look cold, harsh and strict. Plus a misunderstanding with Philomena (the bear sought to help her but for Pema it felt more like as if she was patronized if even not taken seriously by her and felt treated like a child) the air bristled for quite a time with sharp tension.

It took its time but the more the fox worked with the bear and saw how she most of the time overworked herself (drinking dangerous amounts of coffee) but also slowly the children who began to like her (and especially her cooking) Pema decided to stay with Philomena at first as an assistant but only a short time later as a co-worker (after a longer talk about parenting and education both realized that the majority of their misunderstandings happened due of communicational errors and misjudgement both saw the other different than they really were)  

Now being responsible for the cooking (Philomena was very grateful for this given that the only thing she knows how to cook where eggs, how to make sandwiches or pudding and most of the times was too exhausted to learn new recipes) Pema does everything she can to support Philomena and the children. Whilst the grizzly teaches them the basics the sand fox is responsible for sports, music and dancing and as already mentioned for the cooking and refreshments for the young ones.

Although she claims that she took the job due of the worry the bear might work herself to death one day, both, Philomena and the children know the truth even if Pema won’t admit it for now that the children, her co-worker and the building really grew to her.

1) How old were you when you first starting writing fan-fiction?

I believe I was like 14 or 15 (omfg it's been 10 years...).  My best friend and I actually got into it together :)

2) Do you prefer writing OC’s or reader inserts? Explain your answer.

Aaaaaah this one is difficult.  I love both for different reasons.  I just recently explained this to a pal, and he freaked out cuz he loved the metaphor so much lol I like to write reader inserts because I feel like a DM of DnD, kinda weaving a story - which is also why I like reading reader inserts.  Because I never reader them and put myself in the Y/N slot, but rather a OC kinda version of myself, like the woman I wish I could be so to speak.  But I also find there are some stories that need to be written as an OC, so I have a love for both forms.

3) What is your favorite genre to write for?

I really like AUs that take characters and put them in totally different situations

4) If you had to delete one of your stories and never speak of it again, which would it be and why?

any of the stories I wrote about A7X members - yes, those are out there lol I wrote them in middle school.  They are GARBAGE and so laughable

5) When is your preferred time to write?

Middle of the night - when I should be sleeping lol

6) Where do you take your inspiration from?

Music, mainly, whether it be lyrics or the feel of a song

7) In your Show Me Love series, what’s your favorite scene that you wrote?

Natasha and the "Accidentally Suck His Dick Pencil™️" scenes lol

I've fixed errors in stories, and I've considered editing couple of pieces due to severely harsh criticisms , but haven't had time to do so

Romantically - Bucky, of course. Platonically - Nat is my favorite BFF character to write

10) Who is your least favorite character to write for? Why?

Unfortunately, Steve.  I just haven't found a groove for him yet though I wish I had!!

12) How did you come up with the idea for the Show Me Love series? 

Like everything - it was inspired by music lol I was listening to Show Me Love by the band t.A.T.u. when writing the desk scene and it just kinda stuck

13) Do you have any abandoned WIPs?

I don't have any that I've abandoned for good, but I do have a few that I had to put on the back burner because of inspiration that stalled or just flat out writer's block

14) Are there any stories that you’ve written that you’d really love to do a sequel to?

YES.  I'd really like to write sequels to Show Me Love, Never Have I Ever, and Die A Happy Man to name a few.

15) Are there any stories that you wished you’d ended differently?

Before the Worst.  It didn't cooperate with me, and I'm still not 100% satisfied with it.

16) Tell me about another writer(s) who you admire? What is it about them that you admire?

Oh god, All of them!!!  It's very hard to narrow down, but anyone who has the guts to create and share their work with the world is worthy of admiration.  To be specific though, oh god, uuuummmm @sugardaddytonystark, @myattemptatfanfictioning​, @plumfondler​, & @papi-chulo-bucky, & @emilyevanstan (BUT I LOVE SO MANY MORE, NARROWING DOWN IS SO DAMN HARD).  I'd have to go with these folks in particular because they are all so talented and kind and everything I aspire to be in a writer, honestly.  They just have a way with words and world building that is A1!

17) Do you have a story that you look back on and cringe when you reread it?

people can be cruel, BUT, people can also be so kind it's uncanny.  Learn to look for the light in people and just keep writing what makes you happy.  Writing is not a competition, it's a passion :)

23) Do you have a story that you feel doesn’t get as much love as you’d like?

The Bridges of Time.  I get that it's a little off the wall but I just felt an insane need to write it, I wish more people would give it a chance

24) In contrast to 23 is there a story which gets lots of love which you kinda eye roll at?

A hobbit fanfic I wrote on AO3 - Like Flies and Spiders, probably.  I started it when I was a LOT younger then picked it up again and you can tell that the first several chapters were written by a youngin and it's kinda funny lol

25) Are any of your characters based on real people?

Oh, always.  Natasha and Wanda are based on my irl BFFs in every story I write them.  I literally had a friend tell me to drop a pencil and accidentally suck my professor's dick, so there's that lol

26) What’s the biggest compliment you’ve gotten?

OMG  so I just saw this recently, and it literally made me cry: @ok-shuri-buck said "I don't know how I fell in love with you through your writing but I just want you to know it reflects your soul.  I love your soul" I literally WEPT in front of my mother, it was the kindest thing anyone has ever said of my writing and it still makes me smile

27) What’s the harshest criticism you’ve gotten?

as said in response to my 'imagine riding Bucky' drabble, and I quote, "Perfectly good fic ruined by 2nd person POV and that Y/N cop out." But I totally get that some people don't like reader fics, so ah well.  To each their own.

28) Do you share your story ideas with anyone else or do you keep them close to your chest?

I share them with my IRL bff @skrywolf772.  he and I bounce fic ideas back and forth all the time, It's wonderful (Also, he's my basis for sassy Nat BFF just fyi)

29) Do people know you write fan-fiction?

A handful of people do.  Like I said, my two irl BFFS, a girl from school (who I am mutuals with - love ya Lex ;P) and my mom.  Idk if she knows I write fanfiction or not, but she knows I write and post on tumblr

30) What’s you favorite minor character you’ve written?

probably Sam, Tony, or Thor in Never Have I Ever.  I just love writing those little shits as the wackiest teammates

31) What spurs you on during the writing process?

Often when I get the idea for a fic, it's a single sentence that will be later in the plot, so often I find myself writing and building to that specific point.  After that, I have some trouble wrapping things up (which is why I write more multi-shots than full series) but I usually use music to spur me along after I've reached that peak :)

32) What’s your favourite trope to write?

Friends to Lovers. is. mah. SHIT!!

33) Can you remember the first fic you read? What was it about?

Oh lordy, that was like 15 years ago...but I betcha it was a Avenged Sevenfold or Escape the Fate fanfic lololololllllll

RWBY Volume 4 Commentary Play-by-Play

Chapter 1:

Kerry talks about how each episode had a ‘fuck you’ shot, which is a particular shot that was difficult to create across all departments.

I’d say the whole volume was a fuck-you shot to the fans but

In a little conversation about how much they’ve planned in the show, Kerry talks about how they’ve actually been hanging on to team WTCH (Watts, Tyrian, Cinder and Hazel) since the beginning.

I’m leaning towards believing this since Salem was one of the first things conceived for the show, so her team would follow. Makes you wonder if Miles was always gonna have his “crazy” Tyrian though or if that came later.

I doubt it because I don’t believe Monty would make characters as boring as Hazel and Watts right from the start.

Regarding Oscar and his story this volume, Miles and Kerry had more rewrites with him than with anything else in RWBY, trying to figure out the right way to present it. At one point, Oscar’s first major scene was going to be in chapter 7, instead of 4.

Yeah it’s not breaking news to say that they did the opposite of what would be a good idea.

Mentioned in the commentary, but in more detail in the special features, is the fact that CRWBY had a rough start to the volume due to the new production pipeline, which continued for several episodes.

According to Miles, the Petra Gigas was originally supposed to appear in the Emerald Forest during Volume 1. It was supposed to be a part of the giant nevermore/deathstalker fight, as was a giant Bourbatusk.

Wondering how they would have fit 4 whole monsters in that fight, but I guess that’s why they ended up splitting two bad guys between teams instead.

On that note, they talk about how incredibly different the original 4 episodes of Volume 1 were compared to what we got, and that Fennec and Corsac were originally Volume 1 villains.

Just saying that I believe this. They said that Roman originally played a smaller part in Volume 1? How was this possible? Insert more villains.

On the origin of the Geist, Kerry talks about how, at the time Monty was working on the White trailer, he and Miles were thinking of ways for it to make sense, and came up with the idea of a poltergeist Grimm. They say that particular Geist is called an Armor Gigas.

So Weiss fought a Grimm in her trailer it turns out. Idk how to feel about that. In a way it makes sense because, as we’ve seen with Winter’s summons, the Schnee summons are light versions of Grimm. It makes little sense though when you consider that the Geist inhabits inanimate things and therefore the armor isn’t a natural feature of the Grimm.

The crown on Jaune’s shield was first inserted by layout artist Rachel Doda when creating the storyboards. Kerry thought it was a perfect touch and decided to include it in the official design.

Iunno what fatal flaw to focus on here. Is it how this makes it sound like Jaune’s god damn weapon model design was THAT important that Kerry noticed? That it implies melting Pyrrha’s armor down was a last-minute thought? That the plot hole of Pyrrha fucking disintegrating and therefore leaving no armor or cape for Jaune was made entirely because Kerry liked how a shield looked?

Chapter 2:

In regards to the infamous map, Kerry mentions that in one version of the script, RNJR was going to lose the map in a fight of some sort. A similar was also supposed to happen in Chapter 6 involving Tyrian, but decided against it because of how busy CRWBY already was.

So instead of losing it for a reason they just lose it for the sake of it. Cool.

According to Miles, Jaques is loosely based on Jack Frost, something they try to hint at in the way he keeps his study.

The name kind of gave it away without any other hints.

Kerry says that writing the final scene of chapter 2 was the first time he cried while writing. Likewise, Miles said he lost his shit while performing mocap for the scene. Apparently everyone who worked on it had a pretty strong emotional reaction to this scene.

 Wow. The people working on this show were seriously so disillusioned that they thought Pyrrha’s relationship with Jaune earned that kind of reaction. Not even gonna mention how the existence of the recording makes no sense, especially since Pyrrha signs off on it. Why would she do that on a generic fighting guide. I can’t believe how attached these people were to the Alpha Hets.

Chapter 3:

On the topic of writing RWBY with multiple different storylines all taking place at the same time, Miles called it a ‘scary experiment’ but is happy overall with how it turned out.

I can’t say anything more than what’s been said on this.

I also have nothing to say on the technical stuff. I’m really not versed enough in it.

Miles talks about how they tried to have Salem feel a bit motherly, and not overly cruel, because she’s “better than that” and that she has a certain way of talking to each of her lieutenants.

She seemed pretty cruel to me lol. They need to have Salem do more before they announce these kinds of intentions, because now they’ve just given us a preconceived notion and they won’t have to write it that way.

Chapter 4:

Apparently Yang’s eye color was decided because of Taiyang’s and Raven’s eye colors. Red and Blue making purple.

This might be the stupidest thing I’ve ever read.

Burnie is apparently very invested in voicing Taiyang, and takes it very seriously. He would go over the script with Miles and Kerry before recording sessions and they talk about how Burnie will listen to Yang’s lines and efforts, and try and make Taiyang’s similar, as a way of representing how Yang was influenced by her Father. It’s also mentioned that Joel is similar when it comes to portraying Oobleck.

Wow! Joel and Burnie, two voice acting veterans who formed RT, are invested in their roles? Don’t get too shocked by actors who actually try, guys!

When it came to naming all the villages in Anima, they wanted to keep the theme of Mistral being heavily inspired by Eastern influences, so they named villages after the Japanese names for certain flowers.

Blah blah magical mystical Asia land

Originally, the inn and the pub were the same building, but were separated when they couldn’t figure out how to fit Raven into the scene.

Can you imagine if we had to see RNJR somehow not notice Qrow like twenty feet away from them? Thank god he sat in that pub across the street.

Chapter 5:

Miles says he cried while writing Blake’s reunion with her parents, and that the Belladonna’s are some of his favorite characters.

I mean iunno that scene didn’t scream emotional to me but I also have daddy issues so

Fennec and Corsac, as mentioned earlier, were characters originally conceived pre Volume 1, being the 2nd and 3rd Faunus thought about after Blake.

Makes you wonder if by the time of their conception, Faunus were a thing or if Monty was just making up furry OC’s.

Chapter 6:

In the charity scene, Koen says that there are around 100 different, unique people in the room, each with differing clothing.

Jfc guys went kinda overboard there. Didn’t look like 100+ when I watched it.

When describing Henry Marigold to concept artist Erin Winn, Kerry told her to draw a ‘posery, imposter Neptune’.

That’s about what I guessed yep. Now is there a reason for it to be Neptune? To show that Weiss grew past her affection towards him? Or because it was the first person who came to mind? Who knows.

Tyrian’s jacket, despite being one of Kerry’s favorite design aspects, was a real hassle for the animators and the rigging team, so much so that he was animated without his jacket on, and then would add it afterwards.

I remember when capes were in Kingdom Hearts. Then they realized they were too much work so they removed them to avoid continuity errors and such. It was a smart and humble move, because the capes looked cool. I guess Tyrian’s jacket was just really that awesome though.

Chapter 7:

The original plan with Ozpin was to not reveal him as having anything to do with Oscar until the very end of the Volume.

Just gonna keep reminding us of that huh guys?

This episode was the first time proper reflections were used in a mirror in any Rooster Teeth production. Before they would simply fake it.

well that is a legitimately very interesting fact

When it came to Tyrian swearing, some thought went into whether they could get around it, originally having him say witch instead. Ultimately, Miles and Kerry decided it was the right time for things to get a bit more mature.

Best decision they ever made, thank god.

I love the idea of Miles being all modest and going “ah yes time to be mature.”

Chapter 8:

Miles says the whole campfire scene was probably the most difficult thing in the Volume to write, simply due to how much they needed to cover. Also, Kerry says more people worked on this scene than any other in the Volume.

The RWBY writers struggling with exposition?

The two brothers was Miles’ idea, and his first major contribution to the series, obviously one of the first parts of the show that was conceived.

And it was made known that Miles conceived one of the worst parts of the entire story. And he just copied it from a Grimm Tale.

Miles was the one who wrote the majority of Blake scenes in Volume 4. When she’s slapping Sun, Miles only intended it to be soft slaps on the shoulder, so he was quite surprised by the end result.

 Isn’t this why you, like, direct your scenes? To avoid miscommunication like that?

Chapter 9:

Apparently there were several colour combinations the were tried with Ilia that “did not work”.

Apparently the animation crew’s passion is graphic design.

All the patches of mud on the ground were originally water puddles, but Kerry forgot that while the scene was being animated.

Again, directing.

Chapter 10:

In the scene with Nora being bullied, Miles jokes about that if you feel bad about it, those other kids likely died the next day. To follow that up, Kerry then mentions that they actually considered to have one of those kids lying face down on the ground in the background during the attack. Damn.

Idk how to feel about this but it is kind of disturbing that Miles would be so quick to make that joke.

According to Miles, they actually described Ren’s father in the script as “A handsome Hanzo looking motherfucker”.

guessed everyone who knows of overwatch’s existence

One of the ideas they had that didn’t make it into the episode involved Ren’s father going to see the mayor. Since he’s a hunter, and he had just returned from a hunt, Li was going to talk to the mayor about how they didn’t find any animals and it was almost as if they had been spooked away, and that they should get a Huntsman to come and investigate.

That probably would have made some sense.

According to Kerry, Jaune and Ruby’s moment was originally going to end with them hugging, but was cut due to time and Kerry not wanting people to “worry”.

So Lancaster gets shot down completely, cool. Cool thing of a creator to do. How dare we imply Ruby and Jaune are close after all they’ve been through.

Chapter 11:

Recording Tyrian’s efforts in this episode was a ton of fun according to Miles.

Yeah I bet Miles loved Tyrian.

Kerry’s “proudest accomplishment of this Volume” was having the photo of Whitely on Jacques’ desk be face down after Ironwood slams down on it.

Cool?

Kerry talks about Sun’s abs (as you do) and actually reveals that, contrary to popular belief, they didn’t remove them, but instead Sun’s model was made to be more muscular and they would be picked up by lighting and shadows instead.

Pretty sure Sun’s torso is a tube with the new models.

Chapter 12:

When talking about the fight, it’s mentioned there were several different versions of it. They don’t go into detail, but Kerry does mention that Qrow was originally supposed to do something, but Miles reminds him it’s something they can’t talk about.

God, what is left for Qrow to reveal? We got his weapon’s forms, his Semblance, his transforming thing, what else? Tbh my bet’s on Ozpin’s cane. They planned for him to use the cane but decided against it because of their artifact bullshit.
