At the root of every superiority complex with in people, systems, and ideals, there is inferiority, at the root of excellence there is gratefulness. Gratefulness is a door opener for excellence, consistency becomes capability. What you have the potential to do or be, is not the same as your capabilities.

Some of the most successful people I know, don’t have superiority complexes, they let their contributions and commitments to their family, team, communities, and countries speak louder than they do.

I denounce all smear campaigns, mud slinging, and any energy that is about division, everywhere on this planet. Humanity deserves better, Excellence is a choice that builds on consistency. #thewordoftheday

Paul uses the analogy of the Roman soldier’s footwear to tell us about a piece of armour God has given to us so that we can fight the spiritual battle we are in- Feet Shod With the Gospel of Peace. (Ephesians 6:15) We are to be prepared for battle by having our shoes on, the shoes of the gospel of peace. Imagine a fully armed soldier but his feet are completely bare. He could run into real trouble in the heat of battle. A soldier’s shoes had thickened soles and nail-like cleats which equipped him to quickly advance over almost any terrain. For us to ‘put on’ the Gospel shoes of peace means that we ready at all times to take the Good News of God’s peace to a world that is in turmoil. It is to have a mindset of readiness to go into all the world and to share the gospel. In other words, faith without works is dead. You HAVE to take the steps to doing whatever it is you have asked Him for because He needs to see that you DO have faith that He’s going to work it out for you. Don’t sit there and say, “God’s going to bless me with a new home,” and you don’t try to clean up your credit, find out if you even qualify for a home, save up for the down payment AFTER you have researched the aforementioned things, etc. God is not a magician. He is the Alpha and the Omega; He is Divine Energy. He is Love. He wants to bless us, but we have to do our part in this relationship. We have to put in the work.
