Virasat is a 1997 film, directed by Priyadarshan. The story was adapted from the Tamil film Thevar Magan. Mushir-Riaz duo produced the film. It starred Anil Kapoor, Tabu, Amrish Puri, Pooja Batra, Milind Gunaji and Govind Namdeo. 

The music was composed by Anu Malik and S. P. Venkatesh, with the former composing the songs and the latter composing the score.

The film marked the comeback for Priyadarshan in Hindi cinema. Music director Annu Malik reused some of the original tunes of Ilaiyaraaja from Thevar Magan.

Tribute to actor ,Director Nassar 631.

Today i am going to pen another interesting film personality from the South Indian Film Industry is none other than actor ,Director Nassar.He had his acting training in two schools and Tamilnadu Institute of  Filmand Television Technology institute is important.He started his acting career three and half decades back with late Director K.Balachander's movie and later he acted with all the top class Directors movies is worth to be mentioned here.Mostly he was known for his negative rolls and later become a versatile actor is laudable.He was more associated with Director Mani Ratnam ,and Kamal Hasan's movies.Apart from Tamil he acted in Telugu,Kannada,Hindi and if i am right in Malayalam also .He made as a Director in Avatharam  was applauded by people.Person liked by one and all from the film fraternity and holding office position as President  in Nadigar sangam.He acted many films in his career .Few films i can always remember.Those films are,Nayagan,AvvaiShanmugi,Thevar Magan,Bombay,Lagaan (Hindi),Under World (Kannada)and few films i could n't recollect.His action ,dialoque delivery will be very nice. Incidently he hails from Chingleput where the popular late Director C.V.Sridhar also studied with his friend Gopu.Today i am very happy to tribute this Versatile Legend who  has his own image in the film industry.
