i am insane over I Saw The TV Glow in a different way to most tumblr users and likely in a different way to what the creators intended, but still I am insane over it nonetheless
#Safety in the early 2000s#Watching low budget TV on your block telly#You get older and it doesn't hit the same because the world isn't the same. You're in a different reality to where you once were#And in fact when you think about it -#There is a throughline of darkness that has threaded itself throughout your whole life#You want to escape#Desperately#Where you're really meant to be is behind the TV screen. Back 20 years ago.#Life could be ephemeral#But it isn't#Because that's not the reality you live in#Urgghhhhhhhgehhphpghhh..................#i saw the tv glow#I was told it would hit me on a trans level but instead it hit me on a who I am as a person level#Which for some people is the same thing I supposed but I guess my attachment to gender isn't that great
