What story is he from? What kind of story is it?

Evil Woman, Don't You Play Your Games with Me started as a fix-it fic, and since I thwarted the events of S4 in 400 words, I had to give him other things to do. 🥰

What inspired you to write this Eddie?

I just... loved him. I wanted him to be happy, and since thinking about him being happy made me happy, I started writing about it and never stopped.

I'd never written fanfiction before Eddie broke my brain. I didn't even know the "You" fics were a thing until The Summer of Eddie. But my tumblr wife @eddiemunsonsmum listened to me ramble and encouraged me to write, and now I write for so many characters with the same face, it'd be alarming to anyone outside the fandom. 😂

What are your favorite headcanons about him/share something you never shared in your story?

Eddie is very sensitive about his hair. Have a fic about it that I've been holding back because it's a sad one. But if somebody just walked up to him and touched it, he'd flip out. Evil Woman has earned the right to play with it, and has located the spot on his scalp that knocks him right out. She, of course, uses this knowledge for evil.

What does he wear on a casual day? On a dressier day? What does he wear to bed?

Eddie's a jeans and a t-shirt guy. On a dressier day, he'll wear jeans with no holes in them and a button-up over his band shirt. In the summertime, he'll sleep in boxers. When it's cooler, plaid pajama pants and a t-shirt. In the dead of winter, maybe he'll add some socks and a hoodie. Unless it's like, really cold, then he thinks you should both strip and get under the covers. For body heat. 'Cause science.

Favorite foods?

Eddie's adventurous when it comes to food. He'll try anything once. (Okay, vegetables may take a little prodding.) But it's hard to go wrong with a bacon cheeseburger and fries.

Tell Us About His Family/Friends

Uncle Wayne is the reason Eddie is the Eddie we all love. In the Evil Woman-verse, Eddie comes to live with Wayne when he's 8. His mom died when he was 7, and his dad was... awful. But Uncle Wayne took him in and took care of him - and taught him how to take care of himself, and others. Wayne is the reason Eddie looks out for the little guy, because once upon a time, Eddie was the little guy.

I don't write about Eddie's friends a lot, because I feel like people's eyes kinda start to glaze over when the story strays from Eddie/EW. But just know that Corroded Coffin practices frequently, and Hellfire has been known to hang out as a group outside of school. You're just getting mostly the ahhh-we're-finally-alone stories.

Owns every record Ronnie James Dio has appeared on. Has figured out when the nearby record stores do markdowns, and visits on those days to buy whatever he can afford, even if he's never heard it before. If it looks metal, it's coming home with him. Gets super excited when he finds an awesome new band, and can't wait to make you listen to it share it with you. Will be an asshole about having to listen to music he doesn't like.

What are his views on romance? On sex?

Eddie finds romance in the everyday - you zipping his jacket up or reaching out to grab him and keep him from running into a pole or him stopping to tie your shoe. He also enjoys embarrassing his loved ones with grand romantic gestures. Insert eyeroll here.

Eddie was a virgin when Evil Woman acquired him, so he is going to live and die a one-woman man. UNDER PAIN OF DEATH. But that also means that all his exploring will be done with someone he trusts.

Is he optimistic or pessimistic?

Both? I feel like Eddie and Evil Woman are the switchiest of switches in every sense. They eventually even each other out in everything. When he's down, she'll Pollyanna him. When she's not feeling it, he'll be her cheerleader. Teamwork!

Where or with whom is he most comfortable?

Uncle Wayne's. It's been home since he was 8, and was the first place he ever felt truly safe. And when he gets to bring Evil Woman there? To sleep in his bed? In his favorite place in the world? The Ultimate! Also his van, he likes his van.

What are his views of his future? What are his hopes/dreams?

I think Eddie's a realist. Sure, it's fun to dream about going off and being a rockstar and touring the world. But I think he'll settle for playing the occasional gig a few towns over and letting some college kids fawn over him and buy him beer. Ultimately, he just wants to survive. If he could be happy about it too, that'd be great.

What do you imagine his future looks like?

I have a plan for them, but it's not set in stone yet. I'm seeing cohabitation and eternal devotion and staying close enough so that they can do holidays with Wayne and EW's mom every year.

Anything else you'd like us to know about your Eddie/your story?

I don't think Eddie and Evil Woman will have kids. I think they'll occasionally run out of condoms and be like 'well, whatever, if it's meant to be, it'll be' and it just doesn't happen for them. They don't try to find out why. They're okay with it. All they need is each other.

Treat this like an ask game and have people ask or just fill it out as you'd like to.

This is not done in a spirit of "right and wrong" but more to give your readers, mutuals, friends a chance to get to know the mindset that you approach your/ANY Eddie Munson in. And if you want to write this for Steve or Robin or whoever and not Eddie, go right ahead. Copy paste post.

Saw in the tiny workers au the idea of eating tinies with food! Does Wilbur eventually try it out or is it too ptsd inducing with the bad memories?

Alsoooooo, does he ever start getting along with Sbi?

I feel like Tommy would spoil Wilbur, since borrowing sounds like surviving and not thriving, and love to hear your ideas of whatever Tiny furniture he would have to like commission or make himself😁

However im sure Wilbur would start to both feel very touched and also guilty, since he can't buy stuff for himself🥺 maaybbee he starts streaming to try and cover his own expenses? Or any other possible job for a tiny🤔

Im trying to get my thinking brain started, ideas are haaaarrrdd, and i don't even write anything 😂 kudos to you and other writers everywhere, i think i started a story in 2015 and never looked at it again. You guys are epic🙌

but jeeeez for wilbur chocolate?? wilbur definitely stays away from food for as long as he can, and he dreads conversations about eating. tommy still forces wilbur to eat, because this man has been living off of chocolate for god knows how long, he needs something else. wilbur gets off fine hydrating because he really missed that, but food he struggles with, because when he chews on something that doesn't have the consistency and subtle taste of cocoa beans, it's hard to convince himself it's not just a fantasy.

tommy also avoids eating around wilbur. he takes meals to his room or wherever he knows wil wouldn't often go and makes it obvious he's about to start eating if he doesn't directly warn wilbur.

the answer is no, wilbur would not try it. tommy would also never put wilbur in a situation even if wilbur insisted that he was ready,,,

mm things with emduo are a little bit slow, mainly because wilbur is hesitant to approach them. techno's definitely the most standoffish and doesn't want anything to do with wilbur, while phil just occasionally side-eyes wilbur at times.

phil, after realizing on his own that tommy probably won't be letting wil go any time soon, tries his hardest to overcome his prejudice against wilbur. he forces himself to find a time where wilbur is alone to try and talk to wilbur. i'm probably gonna write this so i'll keep some stuff private :)

aand for techno they don't ever really interact with each other, but in the rare occasion that they do, they click even faster than wilbur did with tommy--it's like instantly. (twinsduo my lovely beloved duo <3)

oh yes tommy would absolutely do that, especially after what wil's been through. wilbur is very hesitant with dark spaces so tommy buys a nightlight for his room and wilbur sleeps near there, and tommy spends hours looking for tiny furniture before he just ends up going to a craft store to find miniatures

and yes wilbur would feel absolutely terrible because tommy does this with his own money and never asks his family for help with it (tommy doubts they'd ever do that) so he does eventually ask tommy to like...take it down a notch

ohhhhh that streaming idea is adorableee but for this au tiny technology is more expensive than human technology, so before wilbur can even consider doing that he'd need a normal job first. which honestly is an unreasonably hard thing to find because c'mon who's going to employ a tiny if not another tiny who can't start a business if they have no money and they won't get money without finding a job but jobs won't hire tinies so they need to get hired by a tiny but there are no businesses by tinies because the cycle keeps on repeating and repeating (pff idk why i typed that there's water coursing through my veins for the first time in days so i'm hyper on water rn)

and plus wilbur is very unsure about the humans he lets employ him. some of them give off "sketchy vibes" and some of them just look off. but eventually wilbur does find a job (don't make me say bc i cannot think rn just shhhhh it'll come to me someday)

Okay I'll add a read more cause boy am I gonna ramble

A summary about the story behind it -

It's said that Vishnu has 10 avatars in which he will come to earth to end the evil (one is yet to be born 👀) so his 7th avatar was Ram! Ram was the crowned prince of his Kingdom, he was called the "perfect man" (kind, righteous, caring, etc) but he had to live in exile for 14 years with his wife Sita and younger brother Laxman.

During that exile an evil king kidnapped Sita for reasons. Fast forward there was a battle (fun fact Ram didn't had a human army, instead he had a monkey army let's say they were some advanced monkey lmao) and Ram won, thus the end of evil. Diwali is celebrated on the day when Ram completed his exile and went back to this home. Everyone lit diyas as a welcome and celebrated the return of their beloved prince.

Diwali basically originated from this welcome. It signifies return of truth and goodness after defeating evil (evil can be our bad habits, bad behaviour or in my case fighting with my mental illness)

Another thing we say is the diyas and lights we light on this day will guide our dead back to their resting place and will guide Lakshmi maa (goddess of fortune, prosperity and wealth) to our home. That's also why we light a big diya in the pooja room which burns overnight and one person also sleeps in pooja room

Also before Diwali we clean up our houses thoroughly, every single thing is cleaned (this signifies cleaning up your heart and mind and getting rid of the evil inside you)!

That's my family's version! But india is big so everyone has different stories and rituals

As for the five day festival -

Dhanteras - We buy stuff on this day, big stuff like homes, cars, or for other people gold jewellery or clothes (my family does nothing lmao) It's the day where some people worship God of Health and Ayurveda

Narak Chaturdashi - also known as choti diwali aka mini diwali. It's said a demon called Naraksur was killed this day. I have no idea what else we do on this day because again my family does nothing (except shopping because we are last minute buyers)

Diwali - I'll tell about this later but you already know most stuff

Govardhan - on this day we make a mixed vegetable sabji called Anakut (I never eat it, it looks bad imo) by mixed I mean imagine my mom just putting every vegetable she can get her hands on into the pot

Bhai Dooj - this is my favourite!! It's a festival of brothers and sisters. In my family all my relatives and cousins just meet at one place and we have fun

On diwali my day looks like -

Wake up early, shower and dress up. Then we do Hanuman pooja (please search hanuman he's one my favourite god sksksk) then everyone fucks off to do their own thing.

I am on diya washing duty, we buy 100s of diya made of clay (so basically pottery) and I dunk them in water and then dry them after 3-4 hours. Then I make rangoli, rangoli is basically sand art! It's very fun I'll probably post pictures if I end up doing anything good 😂 rangoli takes 2-3 hours depending on how big it is or how many you are making.

Then we wait till evening when we dress in new clean clothes (doesn't have to be new always, I mostly have worn my older dresses) generally a traditional dress and sit for another pooja (uff) AND AFTER THAT!!!! Dun dun dun comes all the stuff we made

We finally get to eat all the snacks and sweets :D after that we visit some neighbours and/or go see the lighting in the city. It's beautiful everything is covered with fairy lights and diyas and different lights. Then if we have time and strength we can go to our relative's place too. At home we play games, listen to music, eat and watch movies etc

Now for the food we make -

Mathri (made by me and mom)

Namakpara (this too)

Shakarpara (and this too, this is my favourite)

Mini samosa (mom made this)

Mini kachori (we rarely make this one)

Chevda (this doesn't last even two days, made by mom and me)

Kaju katli (we buy this)

Besan ki barfi (this one is homemade by my mom and grandma)

Moong halwa (and this)

This is a rough list of all things we make or buy, but this isn't every diwali. Most people make/buy some of them. Even this time we don't have 3-4 things from this

Then there are other festival food like Puri, Churma, Halwa, Aloo sabji, Kachori, etc. These are general festival food that we make on things other than diwali

Another fun fact this ask took me nearly an hour to answer because my mom kept on asking me to do something or the other
