#TheWalkingDead Season 8 Episode 4 "Some Guy" In-Depth Recap Plus Questions
Wow! "Some Guy" was gruesome, I think we all can agree on that. "Some Guy" may have been one of the most moving since last years' finale. But, one thing's for sure, the Saviors are slowly dwindling down. Are you ready for a recap? Let's do it!
*WARNING: THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS GRAPHIC DETAIL FROM SUNDAY'S EPISODE OF THE WALKING DEAD. IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THIS EPISODE, TURN BACK NOW. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
In the opening scene of "Some Guy," Ezekiel was seen collecting himself in the early hours before the fight. His people prepared themselves and their families for what was to come: possibly never to return. Ezekiel watches this. Then, the King gathers his people. Benjamin's younger brother, Henry, looks to the King. "Fear not your King, Henry. You will be the brave because you are the brave." He tells the boy. He then proceeds to tell his people "We've faced dire challenge and chance. Our lives and way of life, it hangs in the balance. A fragile glass is standing on the wire, high above the asphalt, praying for not one drop of rain from an overcast sky. And yet, I smile. We will fight, and we will bleed. And yet, I smile. We will face many; some cornered into their role by circumstance. Some desperate murderers thrilled by blood. We shall end them all! As is our charge this day, as is our sorrow. And yet, I smile. We will leave our loved ones to traverse the dangerous world, lashing out Peace and War. And yet, I smile. For we will mine glory out of the rock of struggle, today. We will honor and protect this bastard of a life and the Dead. And we will win. You trust the King; we will win. I smile, I laugh and rejoice this day. For on this day, we are joined in purpose, and in vision. We are a singular heart and mind. On this day, we are one! We are one!" He shouts this as his people surround him, coming together as one. Then, it switches to the final scene from the last episode. Bodies are upon bodies. No movement. Then, Ezekiel busts from under a pile of bodies. He is wounded. He looks for survivors but finds none. He yells out. Then, they begin to turn, one after another. He's mortified. The walker below him starts to snarl and grab at Ezekiel. The walkers around him begin to gang up on the wounded King.
When the credits ended, Ezekiel is seen being chased by his Turned men. He finds a rifle but can't get to it quick enough. He has a single bullet and kills the walker female who's nearly ready to bite him. Ezekiel desperately backs up when one of his only living men shows up. He helps the King to his feet, and they begin to hobble away. The scouters who blasted Ezekiel's men to bits quickly load up their guns, all aware that killer Carol is lurking not far away. When the two groups meet in the adjoining room, Carol blasts them from the ceiling. More come. She ducks for cover and they follow her. Ezekiel and his man are at the forest's line when he suddenly drops dead. Ezekiel falls. A Savior approaches and tells Ezekiel to raise his hands. He complies, helps the King to his feet then he forces him onward.
After the break, the Savior is pushing Ezekiel at gunpoint. He stops Ezekiel and takes the blade from his cane. After he reveals where he's taking the King, Ezekiel informs him that The Sanctuary is overrun by the dead. He tells Ezekiel that he may be able to "remedy the situation." Five Saviors sneak the two military cases of machine guns out of the building, Carol just behind. She loads a new magazine into her rifle and prepares to shoot when the fire on her. Suddenly, Ezekiel falls. The Savior attempts to force the King to his feet when he makes a snide comment. It backfires, Ezekiel coming back with a slap in the face. The Savior makes yet another snide comment, further damaging Ezekiel's wound and forcing him to his feet. He tells Ezekiel that animals won't make it far in this circus, especially the tiger considering the bond. He tells Ezekiel he played the game well, even getting the people to follow him in death. So, in the end, what's left when you minus the tiger? A meaningless man in a costume.
When the commercials end, Carol's in a gunfight. The bullets fly, but she can't get one fired off. She notices the gate button just above her. The Savior and Ezekiel stop momentarily. He asks Ezekiel if he still has men alive. Ezekiel hopes so. The Savior shoots a walker as Ezekiel goes for his blade, slicing the stomach of the Savior. He knocks Ezekiel to his back then tells him 'It's over.' When they get to the gate, a padlock is on the fence. So what does the Savior do? Strips the King of his jacket and leave him for walker bait. He tells Ezekiel that Negan wanted him on the wall, but his head on a pike shall suffice. When he's about to cut Ezekiel's head off, Jerry comes out of nowhere and slices the weasel in half. Go, Jerry! Carol slides her handgun under the truck and hangs her rifle on the truck. She tells them she'll tell them where everyone is if they let her live. A Savior approaches, and she grabs him. But, to the man's surprise, they blast him.
Carol unlocks "Gate 4". Jerry attempts to break the lock but his battleax breaks. The duo prepares for a massacre of the dead. Jerry thanks, Ezekiel. The King wonders why and Jerry tells him "For being such a cool dude." Carol sees the struggle ensuing just feet away as the Savior taunts her.
In the next scene, Carol and Ezekiel are seen walking and talking. She asks him if he's ever fought before. He reminds her that she's seen him in battle. What she means though is before the Saviors, before the Turn. Ezekiel tells her that he's trained for a long while and that he's ready for what's to become. He says to her of his past that he was a zookeeper and he was meek and weak. He tells her that he found Shiva bleeding and he decided to be the one to "take the leap." He then quotes what Benjamin used to say, "If you're asked to be a hero, be the hero." He asks Carol if she has always been strong, brave and tough and she tells him she made the decision, just as he did. It comes back to him fending off walkers. Carol comes and fires up the front lines of walkers. She opens the gate and locks the walkers out. Ezekiel tells Carol that they have to warn Rick. Carol smiles and says that they won't be getting to The Sanctuary. Flying under the radar just behind the weapons transport Jeep are Daryl and Rick. After a moment, they catch up. Daryl is shot off the road, but Rick speeds up. Rick's Jeep is shot, but he keeps coming. When the driver swerves, and the shooter is knocked sideways, Rick swerves, and Daryl gets the kill shot. Rick speeds up and evens the two cars together then he jumps in the Jeep. The driver attempts to shoot Rick, but the gun's blocked, and Rick stabs him in the gut. Suddenly, the Jeep veers off the road. Dar investigates. Rick is seen crawling from the weeds. Rick says they have the guns now. Daryl says Rick looks like shit. They investigate if the Savior is alive or not.
Carol, Ezekiel, and Jerry are exiting the horrible scene. Walkers tail and approach all at once. The King falls and tells them to keep going, but Carol is having none of that. Jerry helps him to his feet. They reach a small bio hazardous creek with bloated walkers. Ezekiel says "He can't," but Jerry lowers him down to Carol. They get across when Ezekiel pulls his blade and begins to kill off walkers. He says he'll stay there and fend them off. In a fit of rage, Ezekiel shouts " I'm not your King! I'm not your majesty!" His voice loses its accent, and he continues, "I ain't no King, I'm just some guy. Just some guy..." Then, Shiva joins the party. Ezekiel shouts for the big cat to run but she must protect her master, her keeper, her protector. But, sadly, Shiva is not victorious. She too falls to her death.
In the final sorrowful scene of the episode, Ezekiel returns to The Kingdom with two warriors instead of fifty... The remaining people of the Kingdom surround the King, but he has nothing to say. He walks past them all, touching Henry's shoulder and limping towards his quarters...

#TheWalkingDead Season 10 Episode 1 “Lines We Cross" EARLY PREVIEW Review
Season 10 of The Walking Dead is already vastly different from all of the other nine seasons of the show. From the opening scene of *SPOILER* the meteor that turned out to be a crashed satellite from NASA to the way they broke down each piece of the episode, the tenth season had a major shift of feel, and perhaps for the better.
***WARNING: THE FOLLOWING CONTENT CONTAINS PHOTOS AND DETAILS FROM 10X01. IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE EPISODE AND DO NOT WANT TO SPOIL THE UPCOMING EPISODE, STOP NOW. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED…
They began the episode with a glance of a satellite cruising through outer space followed by a bolded screen scene entitled “TRAINING DAY” It showed a pack of trainees being trained by Aaron, Michonne, Judith and multiple other veteran Walker slayers. The King and his loyal sideman Jerry emptied a long-abandoned ship two walkers at a time while the group on the shore practiced maneuvers in a real-time sequence. Around the third bout, they were inundated with walkers as a wall of the ship crumbled and fell to pieces. Panicked, they almost forgot everything. But, they were able to keep their composure and do what needed to be done.
After a successful ‘training day,’ they go back to Oceanside. Judith and her brother RJ and a few other kids show their findings of shells. All of a sudden, Judith panics. A whisperer mask has been discovered…
Michonne and a group of six went out to begin the search for any sign of Alpha and her herd. They haven’t seen it in months and the mask was the first sign of anything. Michonne and Aaron look along a riverbank and hadn’t found anything until a panicked Yumiko called over the walkie that they needed to meet up. When they did, Magna showed Michonne all the evidence that they had found. A campsite, dead bodies, even a drying skin that had been harvested from a victim. They head back to Oceanside to call to Alexandria. Aaron wants things to go on lockdown but Michonne just wants everyone to stay alert. They agree on staying alert.
Back at Alexandria, Rosita is good at two things, combat, and motherhood. She’s training hard and getting back into her groove while smarty man Eugene is making a baby hack diagram for Siddiq and Rosita. He thanks him for the efforts and studies over the last few months but figures he probably will never use it. While doing that, Gabriel conversates with Michonne and Aaron at Oceanside and calls them to a meeting. Lydia and other kids (much younger than her) are fast at learning when they interrupt. They need to have a meeting. Angry, she goes outside to train in the garden where Negan tends to the garden under the watchful eye of his guard (who’s the name I do not know). Lydia confesses the conversation circulating and Negan tells her that she needs to watch her back. Later on, Negan is back in his cell and Father Gabrial visits him. Negan tells him that “its starting” insinuating the war with Alpha has begun again and implies that “shitting pants” should be put back on.
Back at Oceanside, they are at the shore anticipating the arrival of a long-awaited friend; Carol and her shipment of fish. While doing so, Daryl and Connie chat, sort of. She signs to him that he forgot something (meaning Dog) and he jokes that he likes her better. Then, she makes landfall and Carol was met at the dock by her former man Ezekiel along with an awkward exchange of smiles. Then, she went to Daryl and gave him a big hug. After a while and a flirt between Like and an Oceansider, they seem to think all is well and good until that satellite crashes into their neighboring land and starts a roaring fire. They rush to get it dampened down but many are worried they’ll cross Alphas territory. Michonne pushes forward and they put the fire out. It takes all night but they finally accomplish their task. Eugene wants to investigate and Michonne gives in for ten minutes.
In the final bit of the episode, Daryl and Carol found themselves a little hideout and caught up. They talked about running away together to New Mexico. She harassed him about making best friend bracelets and toward the end, went for a ride. He showed her the place that Alpha took him when they were kidnapped and she warned him about her herd. It was an empty gully with no walkers in sight. But, just as she was about to walk away, Carol spotted something; Alpha. Alpha stepped from the bushes and observed her walkers’ holding spot. Then, she glanced up and grimaces at Carol and a staredown began. Then, the episode came to an end.
Episode 10x01 ‘Lines We Cross’ was a fantastic opener for so many reasons. It had a flare that the show hasn’t had in a minute and renewed the feeling of The Walking Dead. What did you think of the episode! Don’t forget to like and comment in the comment section below!
Thanks for reading.

#TheWalkingDead Season 8 Episode 2 "The Damned" Recap Plus Questions
Sunday, October 29th
*WARNING: THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS FR SUNDAY'S EPISODE "THE DAMNED" IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE EPISODE, TURN BACK NOW. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!*
Oh my Lord! What an episode! I mean seriously, holy great balls of fire! That episode was jam-packed full of F you's to the Saviors, holy sh*t was from the fans and smacked full of surprises. Then, Morales reappears?! Oh, my GOODNESS! Oh, the game just changed... let's get down to business!
War has commenced in the World of the Dead. And it isn't about where the next meal is coming from... right now. In the opening scene, it shows everyone either in laser beam focus or a daze. Then, it cuts to a group of Saviors in a gun assembly order. A female is in charge, she radios into another Savior, receiving no callback she calls to another. Finally, she hears back and tells them to close off the stairwells. Then, as if on cue, shielded vehicles drive up and start taking fire. Then, we see Eric leading the group. Sweet! Morgan and a group organize a plan outside the compound they once raided two seasons back. Morgan plans to do his part alone.
The King and Queen are seen in a smoke field. Walker growls are heard. The group commences to beating the undead down while Ezekiel shouts, "The Damned are upon us!" They quickly take them all out. Carol tells them that they need to find the Savior before he reports back to the compound. Ezekiel insists on trusting the King. He gives a young guard a mission to release Shiva. They move out to find the Savior. Back at Eric's firing range, they're flying led on the Saviors. Two who guard a building get headshots as Rick, Daryl and their group moves in. He and Daryl go one way while the other men take another route. Eric's brigade is keeping The Saviors at bay, but the female in charge wants to drive out.
Morgan is approaching the far end of the fence. The walkers are seen piling up which distracts the two Saviors. They get shot dead then Tara and Jesus move in with the others. They kill off the Saviors within the compound. Rick follows a diagram, but Daryl backs Dwight's handy work. They decide to move upstairs. Eric's crew fire as Saviors moves closer. Aaron tells them to keep the Saviors back. Eric and Aaron fire. Tara and Jesus move in. They mow down the Saviors. Morgan and two men aim at a door. When it's opened, they shoot the only Savior. But then, they drop dead! What?!?
Daryl opens up the roof of the elevator, and he and Rick get to the top floor. They're looking for a gun supply (probably the guns Rick supplied Jadis with). Tara and Jesus find a guy cowering in a closet covered in his own urine, his hands raised. Tara wants to shoot him, but Jesus won't let her. They pull him from the closet. They interrogate him, finding his name is Dean. But, one thing leads to another and Dean takes Jesus' gun. He takes him as a hostage and puts a gun to his head. After a bit of nagging, Jesus whoops on Dean and pistol whips him. Tara still wants him dead. They get a call, and they move out. Jesus shows them a back away out. Then, wait, Morgan's alive?!? He's... untouched? He rolls out!
Tobin's hit! Aaron and Eric's crew still fire on the small Savior group. The lead female sees one of her men turn then her throat is ripped from her neck. Carol and the King talk while they move onto the next compound. "Fake it 'til you make it, baby!" Ezekiel tells Carol that's what he did.  They find a blood trail. Daryl busts in a door, finding an abandoned makeshift office. He finds a torture chamber in a back closet. He remembers. Rick walks down a long corridor. He clears, finding a bedroom. He is about to clear another room when a man jumps on his back. They fight. Finally, Rick wins as the guy is shoved into the wall spike. Morgan is plagued with his own words as he embarks on a killing spree. Jesus and Tara's group surround a garage door. The Savior inside raises the door and drops his gun, making the others with him. Morgan kills on. He comes upon a bright light that throws him into a single focus view of the Savior that killed Richard. Jesus stops him.
Rick continues to search. He finds a nursery. A baby lays sleeping in a crib with the name 'Gracie' written above in bubble letters. He looks up and sees himself in the mirror and walks out. Carol and Ezekiel follow the blood path. Ezekiel sees something that makes him run for it. He watches as Shiva malls the runaway. Eric and Co fire on. Marcy is shot. Aaron is desperate to get to Eric, so he hops in a car and mows down some Saviors. He runs to Eric, finding out he's been shot in the gut.
"And there it is, our certain victory. This, I am not glad for his death." He says as he pets, Shiva. They hear on the radio that their jig is up. Ezekiel isn't done, though. They still have much to do.
In the final scene of the episode, Rick finds a photo inside of a room, recognizing the person(s). A Savior walks up on Rick and...oh my God, Morales?!? Rick names him immediately. Daryl is seen in a daze, Morgan similar. Aaron is trying to get Eric to safety. Ezekiel is smiling, Carol too. Then, Rick is seen staring down Morales as he pulls the hammer down!
My brain does not have enough power to digest this episode fully! What did you guys think? Was Rick hallucinating? Was Morales there? Who's baby was that? Will the Kingdom crew be successful again? Will Eric survive? Tell me in the comments below!
A new episode airs Sunday at 9 p.m. only on AMC.

#TheWalkingDead Season 8 "Mercy" Recap Plus Questions
Sunday, October 22nd
Oh my goodness, it has finally arrived! The season 8, 100th episode premiere is finally in the history books! And boy did it deliver. From start to finish, fans were on the edge of their seats, breathless, screaming and cheering. It was heard nationwide.
*WARNING: THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS EXPLICIT DETAIL FR SUNDAY NIGHT'S EPISODE "MERCY." IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN IT, TURN BACK NOW. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!*
The 100th episode opened up with Rick's eyes shut, showing a foggy vision of a cane and flowers. Then, it comes back to the present. It shows Rick at a watchpoint then Glenn and Abe's graves at The Hilltop. Daryl sends Dwight a message the note says 'TOMORROW.' Tara keeps the time while eating licorice and wearing sunglasses like a boss!
Rick is with the three groups brought into one next to each of their leaders. He gives a speech: "When I first met him, Jesus said my world was gonna get a whole lot bigger. We found that world, we found each other. That bigger world is ours by right. If we come together for it, all of us, it's that much truer. It's ours by right! Any person who would live in peace and fairness, who would find common ground, they're right too. Those who use and steal and carve out the world who make it theirs alone...we end them! We don't celebrate it. We don't have shame about it, either. There's only one person meant to die. And I'll kill him myself. I will. I will." Dwight sends a note back to Daryl. Rick continues. "Then, we keep making the world bigger, together." Ezekiel adds, "Together, bound forever to hold the bar. For He, today that shall shed his blood with me shall be my brother. For She today, my sister." He says as he grabs Maggie's shoulder. Maggie tells them that they've practiced and that they're ready. They just need to keep faith in each other. The world is theirs if they can do that. Carol and Tara lead the walker march, leading them towards the Sanctuary. It shows the cane, the watch, the flowers then Santa Rick waking up. Then, it comes back to the present, Rick opening his red puffy eyes.
Carl drives up in Rick and Michonne's lovebird van with a gas can. A throwback to the pilot episode when Rick was wondering around Atlanta was seen as Carl glanced in a car with a dead walker inside. He keeps walking to an abandoned convenience store when he hears a voice. Carl tracks him down, finds his feet and then Rick fires, injuring the man. Rick kills a walker then begins to mark off the checkpoints one by one. Rick looks over their playbook. Gabriel informs Rick sometime later that everyone's ready. Then, he asks Rick if he is. One person, Rick says. Rick says it always starts with one person. Tara, Daryl, Carol, and Morgan meet up at a rendezvous spot. Rick says his goodbye's to Judith, Michonne, and Carl. Rick tells Carl, "This is the end of it," He gets into a truck, and the forces roll out. Carl tells Michonne, "I know you wanted to go with them. I did, too." She tells him that everything hurts but she's helping him defend The Safe Zone. But, it's his show.
Rick takes down a Savior at another point and raids his things. The Savior continued to tall trash, so Rick released the tied walker and signaled for his people to come forth. The line of shielded vehicles spread out in an open field. Everyone meets everyone. The three group leaders along with Jesus converse. Maggie gives her word that Hilltop Colony will fight with Rick and co. Maggie says she's been fighting since the farm and there's no going back. Rick asks about 'tomorrow.' She says just one more fight and tells Rick she'll be there for at least the first part. Ezekiel mentions the loss of their doctor and offers The Kingdom's doctor for use. He says that today is the day they begin to reshape the world for her child and the children to come. Rick tells her that Hilltop is lucky to have her and that after this fight, he's following her.
Tara counts down to something but... nothing happens. They watch for a moment before Daryl spots them; the oncoming horde of walkers. They all ride out. About thirty seconds after they've gone, an SUV blows up. The incident is radioed back to Saviors headquarters (The Sanctuary), and they dismiss the possibility of it being"them." Dwight listens to the female who desires blood and tells her that she may just get what she asks for. Daryl, Tara, Morgan, and Carol rig the bomb that's close to the compound. As Dwight moves away from his spot, the two Saviors above him suddenly drop dead. The shielded vehicles begin to move into formation. Then, the forces pile out. Maggie and Rick are first behind the wall. Maggie raises her hand and guns are raised. Rick fired four shots. They wait. Then, Negan and the forces come out. "Well, shit! I'm sorry, I was in a meeting." Negan says.
When the commercials end, it shows Santa Rick again. He's waking up and looking at the flowers on the nightstand than the clock. He gets up and meets with Michonne.   Carl says that everyone's playing hooky today. Then, it shoots back to the barricade scene. Negan makes a snide comment then says he's isn't feeling a need to fire shots at one another because he's not selfish like Rick and he cares for his people. Rick begins to name off the Saviors that standby Negan currently. He offers them safety if the surrender. Negan laughs. A walker wonders near the trip wire, and Morgan kills it. Negan says its a good deal Rick offered. Then, he asks about himself. Rick tells him he's already shown him. Twice. Negan says he knows the outcome. Then, Negan calls out Simon's name, and he brings out Gregory. Like the coward he is, Gregory tells the people of Hilltop Colony to surrender, that they stand with Negan and if they don't, they won't have a home. Jesus shouts out that they stand with Maggie. Simon tells Gregory that he's disappointed in him and shoves him off the platform. Morgan ducks behind a dumpster as a group of Savior cars come. They get blown up. Rick tells Negan to decide quick. Then, he starts to countdown. He gets from ten to seven then fires, making the Savior compound look like metal Swiss cheese.
Carol, Morgan, Tara, and Daryl meet up. They wait for the walkers. Daryl leads the walkers closer to the Sanctuary while the others head back to safety. Daryl checks the rounds in his revolver then heads out, blowing up bombs along the way. The crew fires endlessly at the compound. Father Gabriel sends in the RV and Rick blows it up. Negan is seen by himself. Rick is shooting at him. Gabriel gets him to stop. Rick drives out. Gabriel was about to, but he saw Gregory and WS going to help. Bad decision. Gregory abandons the Father and leaves him stranded.
Carl leaves the stranger his father wounded two cans of food with a note that says "Sorry." Some of the group meets back up in one area. Then, Rickis seem with Daryl. Daryl wants to do more damage, but Rick says no. He tells Daryl he tried to kill Negan but Gabriel stopped him. Daryl asks if Rick's okay. Rick says its not about him. They head out. Rick and Daryl head out to another Savior compound while  Carol and a group hit another compound themselves. Walkers move into the compound as Gabriel runs for his life. He ducks into a building only to find Negan in there, too.
In the foggy vision, it shows an older Judith running up to Santa Rick. Michonne tells him that the people are thrilled for the festival. Judith walks him outside, and we see a thriving community. A red-eyed Rick is seen smiling. He whispers "Mercy prevails over my rath."
The last scene shoots back to Rick's speech before the fight. He's telling the troops that he doesn't want to wait any longer, either. He says "If we start tomorrow, everything they've beaten, everything they've endured, everything they've overcome, we've already won. We've already won!
Wow! What way to welcome episode 100 into the books! What were your thoughts on this episode? Were the group proactive enough? Could they've done more? What's going to happen to Father Gabriel? Tune back Sunday to find out!
New episodes air every Sunday at 9 p.m. only on AMC.

#TheWalkingDead Season 8 Episode 11 "Dead Or Alive Or" In-Depth Recap Plus Questions
 Sunday, March 11th, 2018
*WARNING: THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS EXPLICIT DETAIL FROM SUNDAY NIGHT'S EPISODE "DEAD OR ALIVE OR." IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN IT, TURN BACK NOW. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!*
Sunday's episode of The Walking Dead started out with a Saviors stakeout somewhere beyond the Hilltop walls. When a radio call comes through about a possible lead on Dr. Carson, and Father Gabriel leads them elsewhere, Daryl and Co appear. They head into the woods per Daryl's order. Along the way, Tara jumps a walker, quickly turning it over to Dwight. Angry, Daryl warns Tara and tells her to lead the people. They head toward Hilltop. The frame changes to a chain dragging the ground. Upon first personal thought, I speculated a walker-ridden Shiva was amidst Gabriel and Carson's presence. But, it was a typical walker dragging a chain. They map out, Gabriel's sight visibly damaged. Carson mentions this. Carson worries that if the infection spreads, he could be blind forever. Ignoring the doctor's concern, they drive.
When the commercials end, the doctor is evaluating Gabriel's sight. It's very bad. He blames himself for leaving the Sanctuary instead of treating him. Gabriel is not bothered by that but by a sound. A bell. Gabriel pursues, and Carson follows. Shortly after, a mesh type fence is found followed by a house. Daryl and Rosita talk. The people need to rest. Tara insists on knowing what the plan is for Dwight. Daryl says they need him for now. Rosita backs him up. Tara isn't happy. The Hilltop is busy at work. Morgan and Henry are watching over the prisoners. Henry wants to know which savior killed his brother. Carol comes and tells him he should get with Jerry and grab something to eat. Morgan tells Carol that Henry will be okay. Carol doesn't believe, but she keeps watch over the prisoners.
Negan has called Eugene in for a meeting. He is disappointed to hear that on his watch, the only doctor at the Sanctuary has gone missing along with the Father. Eugene is very nervous. Negan promises to find out every detail. Eugene requests to know what happened at Alexandria. Began angrily asks if he cares. Then, he promotes him to his very own bullet-making outpost. He'll have his crew plus security and two of the wives to cook and give him massages. The only request that Eugene cares about is wine. Will there be wine? (Yes). Carson and Gabriel rifle through the house. The Doctor wants him to rest, but he refuses. Carson isn't optimistic, but Gabriel is.
Daryl, Tara, and Rosita map out their best route of travel. Dwight chimes in, saying the swamps won't be traveled by the Saviors because Negan deemed it too dangerous. Tara doesn't like the idea. She thinks he'll turn on them as he turned on the Saviors, but he says he chose his side. He wants Negan dead, and that's all there is to it. Daryl says they'll try the swamps. Maggie babysits the infant Rick found at the outpost. A woman comes in and informs her that the inventory is low. Rations have to be cut by a third to sustain through the week, and that doesn't include the prisoners. Carson finds a gun. Instead of resting, Gabriel is scrimmaging through. He just so happens to find antibiotics. Daryl tells Dwight that nothing has changed. Dwight says he did it for Cherry. They enter the swamp, and Swamp Walkers begin to appear. Daryl, Rosita, and two others begin to make a path.
Maggie visits the prisoners. She informs them about the rations having to be cut. She tells them that they wont be receiving any good for a few days, maybe even a week. A Savior comes forward, saying that she doesn't have to do that. Perhaps a deal can be made, one prisoner may walk around, guarded to stretch in exchange for the weapons they have. She declines.
Daryl, Rosita, and two others begin to clear out the swamp. So far, everything is clear. Checking with sticks, they clear a half arc in front of them. Rosita finds the first of the Swamp Walkers. She kills it quickly. Daryl and Siddiq find a patch of about twenty. They begin to clear them out one by one. Tara keeps watch along with Dwight. She sees a walker and asks for a volunteer knowing we'll enough she was going to choose Dwight. She throws the blade at him, and they walk towards it. Gabriel can barely see yet he is completely optimistic. He tells Carson he won't say anything, but he found this place on purpose, the meds, then he knocks over a piggy bank that has keys and a map. Their luck just got even better. Dwight apologizes to Denise. Tara gets angry. He says he should stay back. Anger is getting the better of her; she aims at Dwight and shoots. He dodges. He runs until he can't and then she finds him. Holding him at gunpoint, she's ready to fire, but they hear voices. So, they duck into the shrubs.
Gabriel and Carson search the surrounding area following the map. Gabriel instinctively stops, hearing a creaking sound. He looks up and sees a sign then warns the doctor. But, it's too late. A snare has grabbed him, and he is riving in pain. Walkers surround. Gabriel freezes in fear. Carson fights the incoming walkers, some becoming trapped like he. One falls atop him, and he wrestles with it. Gabriel gets to his knees and crawls for the gun. He grabs it and stands. He can't see so how's he doing to shoot? With closed eyes. And, he makes his mark. He gets the walker with a headshot and saves the day. Tara and Dwight hide. He is at her gunpoint. He doesn't have much he can do so he ducks out and raises his hands. They become him back and ask where he'd gone to. He says he has been scrounging. He asks about Laura, but they haven't seen her. So, he plays the role and says he's been searching for the escapees. He leads them away. Rosita finds her and brings her back. Daryl is irate. He goes off on her, but Tara believes Dwight won't rat. He calms at the sight of Judith. They cross the swamp. Gabriel and Carson get into the garage. As they're about to start the car, they're surrounded by Saviors. They're rounded up. Carson follows his gun and goes for the gun but ends up paying for it with his life. They drop him from the bed and Gabriel softly sobs his name.
Daryl and Co arrive at the Hilltop. Judith is in proud uncle Daryl's arms. Daryl gives a solum look then tells them about Carl. Enid is crushed, falling to her knees. Maggie embraces her as the other reunited get torn souls embrace as well. Henry asks about Carl. She tells him that amidst everything, he died helping someone else. Morgan tells Henry that Gavin killed Benjamin. Siddiq visits Maggie, thanking her. She says it isn't much, but he corrects her. He asks about a medical center, and she wonders if he is hurt. He isn't, but he would like to contribute with his medical knowledge. She directs him to the medic trailer, and she sees a thriving community at work.
Eugene is busy at work in his fancy new outpost when one of the wives Negan selected to cater to him comes up and congratulates him. He shakes her off, taking his crew's dinner order. Then, Negan visits. Gabriel is with him. Eugene is nervous. Negan tells Eugene that Carson was behind it all. Then, he tells Eugene that Gabriel can't see, but he is an extra pair of hands. Eugene babbles, and it makes Negan happy, promoting the response of: "Thank you. And I do believe a rose just sprang from a pile of shit." then he says that tomorrow is a big day. He leaves. Then Gabriel whispers "I believe I may have found my purpose."
Maggie visits the prisoners. She says that they may come out in pairs for work and medical attention. Their rations will be a fourth. Gregory tries to implement an evacuation into her mind. She isn't doing that. Negan has assembled a crew at the walker wall. Dwight appears. He says that the Hilltop people WILL be of use to them one way or another. They're gonna learn to tow their end of the line by spike or being alive or...any kind of shit in between...
Wow! What did you think of this week's episode? Will Negan and his Saviors finally become victorious and get what they want? Will Rick and Michonne arrive in enough time and is Dwight truly safe back at the Sanctuary? Let me know in the comments below!
