Official Brand Launch: TheBodyIsMind™ and the Ultimate Healing Guide™
Tumblr media
For about six months, I’ve been working on building the Ultimate Healing Guide™ and corporate branding and marketing strategy for TheBodyIsMind.com. Today marks the official roll-out of the new brand and website.
As a disabled Navy Veteran dealing with chronic pain and anxiety for more than 30 years, I only recently began feeling better instead of worse. That's because I discovered a self-directed healing path and started implementing alternative treatments not covered by insurance.
Pharmaceuticals or surgery did not help my progress towards a pain-free life (I've had both).
What has helped are many self-care methods including floatation therapy, contrast hydrotherapy (hot and cold), meditation, Pilates, Yoga, Egoscue Method, Foundation Training, Brainwave Entrainment, Biofeedback, plus group-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
I also learned deep breathing techniques, altered my diet to avoid inflammatory foods, and discovered a new sense of purpose and meaning in life. I finally made health my #1 priority and took responsibility for making improvements. Plus, my new daily pain management practice takes full advantage of the mind-body connection and neuro-plasticity; I'm retraining my brain and nervous system with evidence-based approaches to self-care.
As part of this journey, I rejoined the Veterans Administration healthcare system after 25 years of avoidance. Along the way, I witnessed war-torn Veterans implode and die from their injuries, pain, and misery. Quite often, many of our military heroes are even worse off from chronic pharmaceutical toxicity and spinal fusions which have permanently compromised their flexibility.
What's abundantly clear is that most Veterans dealing with PTSD, chronic pain, and anxiety cannot get all the care they need from the VA. The VA needs help from the private sector to care for our Veterans fully... especially near and around all the main VA hospitals across the states.
As well, most of the suffering Veterans I've encountered are merely not aware there are so many alternative self-care methods outside of the VA's national health care system, or that they have the freedom of choice to try some of them on their own without their doctor's permission.
That’s why I’m building the Ultimate Healing Guide. I intend to help raise awareness for the 101+ alternative treatments people can try as part of a self-directed healing path, to help reduce or eliminate chronic pain, anxiety, insomnia, depression, PTSD, and all stress-related illness. For the 22 million Veterans in the U.S., and for everyone who deals with chronic disease in general.

My veteran-owned company also recently founded the U.S. Veterans Treatment Discount Program. We're working to build a coalition of alternative treatment facility owners, clinicians, and practitioners who offer 50%-100% discounts to Veterans who qualify. This program is just getting up and running in Colorado, with expansion plans for Washington, Texas, Virginia and Florida.
