why didn’t anyone tell me you can go up to your friends parents and say to them you need a supportive helpful adult in your life and can they please hug you send you some basic dinner recipes and occasionally help you clean your room when your all organs decide to plan an ambush and like lowkey could they be like looking out for you casually or something if it’s ok
Like you can just do that you can just ask it is awkward as hell and probably inappropriate I wouldn’t fucking know but hey I’m going to try
like at first I was thinking about posting a joke about how you only get one set of parents and you can’t just go up to your friends mom and be like “what’s up bro want a son? I’m a son.” But then I was like hm… who is going to stop me

sweeter than honey (redux)
Pepper Potts did not exactly mean to become a criminal. Really, she still doesn’t think she is.
But here are the facts:
1.) She has broken several laws in pursuit of funds that do not belong to her.
2.) The FBI would like to talk to her about several things and potentially put her under arrest.
3.) She can no longer go to her regular coffee shop because the barista snitched and told them her name, as well as her occupation.
Pepper broke several laws because the company she was working for (Stane International) was technically breaking laws, but laws that do not apply to corporations because corporations do this thing called “funding campaigns” and also sometimes “doing favors.”
She decided to do the same and suddenly she is a criminal. Not her fault she redistributed money back into the community, and now they can’t get any of it back.
It’s just how that worked out.
She’s been staying at a hotel that serves many questionable individuals each month, and it has an indoor pool and a three-star rating on the latest travel website.
It’s nondescript, not her style, and she’s currently in the bathroom having a crisis because she most likely needs to dye her hair.
She’s vain. Pepper knows she is, has known it since high school when she trimmed her hair and cried. Her hair, by all accounts, is gorgeous. It’s a shiny strawberry-blonde that makes her look like an ice queen in winter and a mysterious fairy queen in summer.
She does not want to dye it. But here she is with an eight dollar box of dye and thoughts in her head.
And then her hotel door opens.
Not supposed to do that, but that’s what happens when you’re in a three-star hotel.
She is also in old athletic shorts that have most definitely seen better days and a tank top that was a last-minute buy from the nearest store, and it does not suit her at all.
Facing her is a man with an odd beard, tinted sunglasses, and a graphic t-shirt over a blazer.
“So. You pissed off Stane Industries,” he drawls. “I’m impressed. Usually they just sweep their little problems under the rug.”
“I’ll sweep you under one if you’d like,” Pepper offers, wondering how quickly a blowdryer can knock someone out. She’s not sure how well-made the hotel one is. Probably not very.
“I’m not here to kill you,” the man says. He takes off his sunglasses. His eyes are a nice shade of brown, not that you’re supposed to notice that about a potential enemy. Pepper is just that skilled.
“Then what are you here to do? Make me move to Florida?”
“No, the opposite. We’re staying here. I’m offering you a job position of helping me take down Obadiah Stane and the company itself.”
“Who would I be working with?”
“Anthony Stark.”
Pepper stills.
She read the news when she was in college, same time as Tony Stark. Went missing in the car crash, no one found his body. Temperatures were freezing, he was wearing a tuxedo. The chances were that he froze to death somewhere that they didn’t find yet.
Chances were. What an odd little phrase.
“So, you made it out.”
“Not as hard as people say it seems to be, Virginia.”
“Call me Pepper, my first name disgusts me.”
“Gotcha, Pepper. Call me Tony. You in?”
“Obviously. What do I need to do?”
“Meet the team.”
-
There is Rhodey, who was Tony’s best friend and sobbed on national television for two weeks until they forgot all about him.
“He’ll cry at anything,” Tony says with a laugh as Rhodey sends him a dirty look. “Just made him think about neon shoes and he bawled like a baby.”
“I did not,” Rhodey hisses. “I was a good crier.”
“You looked like a seal,” Pepper intervenes. “But you played the part quite well. Nice to meet you.”
“Right back at you, Pepper.”
She meets Happy, a man who is all serious and grumpy and “did not want to break the law before forty” but he also gets to watch Downton Abbey whenever he wants, so he’s not doing too bad.
He runs security and also tells Rhodey and Tony when they’re banned from ordering pizza all the time, and Pepper is inducted into the Healthy Eating Committee.
There’s Bruce Banner, who enjoys taking over corporations for fun, and this is his second one. His first was some sort of health insurance scam, and apparently that was just to finish up his thesis for his third doctorate.
“He has seven degrees, he’s weird,” Tony says.
“Oh like you’re any better,” Bruce says with a snort. “You learned twelve languages for fun. Including French, which is useless.”
“French is not useless,” Tony says. “It got us free food in Canada.”
“We would’ve gotten it anyway if we’d done it my way.”
“Stealing?” Rhodey asks.
“Yes!”
Pepper laughs.
Their job is a bit easier than anticipated. They found out from Pepper that getting into the building is stupid easy because no one likes their job and will do anything when bribed.
Tony struts in with a badly-made-employee-ID and talks about a copying machine and coffee and seeing someone next month for dinner. Pepper just keeps her head down and pretends like she’s meeting someone for something. Like usual.
Obadiah Stane is out of the country on a meeting, and his secretary is scared to death of him, so they’re allowed to poke around the office and find some interesting information.
The problem comes when someone recognizes Bruce outside (government watchlists: the most pesky things on earth) and suddenly there’s this huge fuss.
Tony pushes Pepper into an office closet and then promptly asks her if anyone opens the door, if she’s alright with him kissing her.
“Why would you do that?”
“People don’t like watching kissing, too intimate. Also, you have a lovely face and you’re quite funny, and I think it’d be fun and delightful to kiss you.”
“How long have you thought about that?”
“Not going to talk about that, just want an answer. If you say no--and feel free to, there’s no obligation in physical contact right now--it does complicate plans A to D. I suppose we could play the divorced couple route, but I’m not a gigantic fan about that.”
“I mean, I guess? It wouldn’t be bad, and I’m not exactly opposed to it, Would it mean anything later?”
“Do you want it to?”
“Let’s figure that out after we do it.”
“If we need to do it.”
Door swings open.
Oh, there’s a need.
Tony is a particularly nice kisser, Pepper thinks. The thought runs through her head that she’s only kissed two people before Tony, and one was in high school so that doesn’t count, but the other was a secretary at an old company she used to work for.
But Tony is nice. Soft and warm and he grabs her waist and that’s nice.
“Oh my god, sorry,” the employee mutters. “I just, I thought--”
“Occupied!” Tony says, not even stopping as he kicks out his leg and practically stomps the poor other guy in the stomach.
They get out, run, and Pepper laughs as she sees a bit of pink lipstick on the side of Tony’s mouth.
“So, how’d I do?”
“Send me a survey,” Pepper remarks. “Or a ranking.”
“On a scale of one to ten?”
“Seven.”
“I was that bad?”
“How do you rank things? Do you put one as the best?”
“Obviously.”
“No, you’re an idiot. One is always the worst. You’re a nine. It would’ve been higher but we were in a corporate office and in a supply closet.”
“So what you’re saying is, I’ll have to try again?”
“Preferably over a couple glasses of wine and pizza. The good kind, though. Not the garbage Rhodey orders.”
They approach the car that Happy has, with Rhodey and Bruce already leading others on a goose chase.
“You two have too much fun,” Happy mutters. “Boss, you got lipstick on your side. Did you get the drives?”
“Transferred and set to release to every major news outlet tomorrow morning at six a.m.,” Tony says. “Interns are going to curse my name as they’re forced to rewrite articles.”
Pepper smiles.
That night, they have a couple of glasses of wine and Tony orders the good pizza, the kind that costs a little bit too much for what it is, but it’s all worth it in the end.
When Tony takes over the company after about six months of legal battles that would probably have drawn on for well over a decade if not for the fact that Tony is one of the most in-your-face-let’s-talk men she’s ever met, Pepper was kind of expecting things to slow down.
Of course not. That’s not her style nor is it Tony’s, although arguably a vacation or a nice spa day would have been nice beforehand.
“We have shit to do,” Tony says. “Rhodey, you need to help me revamp R&D. Pepper, I need to talk to you in the office.”
They’ve already hired a company to completely redesign the entire building and refocus the company’s outlook, starting with getting rid of the disgusting 1970s carpet and chairs. God, it’s ugly. Pepper cried when she saw the office chairs.
But she’s in Tony’s office, and she’s wondering if this is going to be directly related to workplace relationships or not. She’s already prepared an argument as to why she still wants a relationship and just how much professionalism she can exhibit in the face of hardship.
(That hardship being the fact that Tony looks quite good in suits but also has arms that are made for tank tops.)
“I have a problem with you,” Tony says. “And it’s that I want to make you CEO, but I don’t want people to think that you got it just because we’re dating. So we have an issue to cross.”
Pepper was not expecting this. She was expecting maybe head accountant, or head of the PR team. But CEO? That was something that was...wow. Pepper had had a fifteen year plan for working up from wherever it was that she would be at.
She also didn’t know they were dating.
“We’re dating?”
“Did I read the kiss wrong? Oh shit, was the seven secretly the bad seven?”
“No!” Pepper says. “You just never told me that we were dating, we didn’t have a communicative conversation about it.”
“Oh. Well, would you like to go on dates and things?”
“What’s ‘and things’?”
“You know. Sexy times. But I wanted to be a professional about it. But I am not that professional.”
“No, no you’re not. Which is why you offered me the CEO position and why I am accepting it. But I will also date you...and things.”
“Excellent. Have a dinner tonight while we discuss how to do Microsoft Excel?”
“I already know how to use it.”
“Pepper, you are the only woman for me in this lifetime and the next.”
“And the one after that?”
“I’m assuming you’ll get bored of me and marry someone who’s seven feet tall.”
“Seven feet tall? What, am I going to attend every NBA game for the next husband?”
“Maybe, I don’t know what you’ll do. I’ll probably be halfway into a grave over despair.”
Pepper chuckles, dropping a short kiss onto his temple.
“Well, I hope I don’t have to witness that. You want me to make some salad for tonight then?”
“Yes please! We also need to review the decor and see what chairs to order.”
Pepper nods.
“We need to ask Rhodey, he has opinions about design of those.”
“Of course he does, he hates standing too long. We’ll send him some of our options.”
She waves as she leaves the office.
What Tony misses:
Pepper pumps her fist as she leaves the office, nearly stumbles, and is quite glad that no security cameras were installed that day.
What Pepper misses:
Tony spins so hard in his office chair as a celebration that it topples over.
Yeah, they’re made for each other.

julie’s ready for a year away from home, studying and trying to refind the magic in music. luke’s about to start on a summer tour around europe opening for a band. they meet one night, sparks fly and emotions run hight. now they’ve just got to try and see if they can maintain a long distance friendship.
days go by and seasons change (lets try again next winter)
trigger warnings!! alcohol and swearing and mentions of blood via food

“I still can’t believe you didn’t kiss him,” Flynn’s voice echoes through her phone where it’s propped against a book of Shakespeare’s poems and being stopped from sliding down her desk by her half eaten sandwich. Which hadn't been her best plan, because she was starving and now her sandwich was employed elsewhere.
“I’m not just going to kiss a random guy a met once,” she can see Flynn opening her mouth with a retort so jumps in to add, “I like him, yes, but I’d rather have him as a friend then an awkward one night stand situation that’s made even more awkward when I eventually run into him again because one of his bandmates is Carrie’s cousin.”
It all seems perfectly logical to her. Luke was cute, yes. And sure, she’d wanted to kiss him, but if it came down to one kiss or a new friendship? She was going to choose friendship. They’d connected more in one night then she’d connected with anyone in years. They got each other.
(What Julie hadn’t told Flynn or Carrie or anyone, was about the deal they had made. About how if by December, when she was wrapping up her year in England and they were finishing with their album and they were still talking, still felt the same, they’d try.
Julie didn’t mention it to anyone, barely even liked to think about it herself because she didn’t want to jinx it, didn’t want to spend time wondering what might happen when they tried. What trying even meant.)
“So you’re going to be friends?”
It’s pretty impressive, Julie thinks, how Flynn can convey her utter disbelief and amusement via a single eyebrow raise on a slightly blurry and pixelated facetime call. Maybe it’s the years of friendship that means Julie knows what she’s not saying or maybe it’s just Flynn’s power. Either way it has her pushing her laptop away with a sigh and picking up her phone. Scooping her sandwich up with her other hand.
“Yes, we’re going to be friends. We can be friends. Do you not think we can be friends?” Julie furrows her brows, both in concern and how many times she’s said the word ‘friends’ in one breath.
“Of course I think you can be friends! He’d be lucky to be your friend, you’re amazing,” Flynn is quick with her reassurance, but Julie can tell there’s a ‘but’ coming and braces herself for impact. “But. The two of you spent practically the whole night together and have spent pretty much every day since talking. Plus, you’d have to be pretty blind to miss the way he was looking at you in the least friend way possible.”
Julie really hoped that the wifi connection was bad enough to hide the blush she could feel heating her cheeks at the reminder of the way Luke had looked at her. She had never really understood what books meant by ‘intensity of their stare’ before, but she was pretty sure it was whatever Luke was doing with his face and his eyes, somehow he could even do it through a facetime call. Personally, she thinks it should be illegal. His whole face. Banned. Fined every time he looked like he looked.
“Yeah, well,” Julie swallowed, tucking hair behind her ear for something to do while she tried to gather her thoughts and control her face. “We’re still going to be friends. And anyway, we’ll probably slowly stop talking before we ever meet again and he’ll find some extremely pretty girl on tour and fall madly in love and forget all about me.”
As long as she was telling herself that it meant she couldn’t be too disappointed when it came true. No point getting her hopes up.
“If you say so,” Flynn didn’t sound convinced and Julie rolled her eyes at her friend, sticking her tongue out childishly, to be rewarded with Flynn laughing.
“Now come on, enough about me and my awful love life. Tell me about this thing you're working on!”

“Ow, crap.”
It’s not really the first thing you want to hear when you accept a phone call at 8am. Julie blinks at her phone as she pulls it away from her ear to double check the caller id and that she hadn’t imagined it ringing. But there’s Luke’s name and his slightly blurry photo staring back at her.
“Luke?” She asks, hears the sounds of a scuffle on the other end like someone juggling too many objects at once.
“Julie! Hey! Sorry, just spilt one of my coffees. Is black pudding made with blood?” Luke’s question catches her off guard. Her mind is still trying to process the mention of multiple coffees that it takes her a moment to register what he’s asking her. And it just causes more confusion to her half asleep mind.
“Are you really calling me at 8am to ask about black pudding? Why are you even awake?” She groans, collapsing back against her pillows and pulling the covers back up to her chin. It was Friday, she didn’t have class until 1pm, she was supposed to get to sleep late and he’d woken her up.
To talk about black pudding. Idly, she wondered if it was too early in their friendship to just hang up without it seeming too rude.
“Last night Reg said it was like haggis, but that doesn’t make sense, does it? Because I swear haggis is like, sheep. And you’d think blood pudding would be, y’know, blood. Given its name.” He kept talking away, apparently not at all discouraged by her lack of response.
Julie let her eyes fall shut as she listened to him talk, to his voice and not really what he was saying. He had a very nice voice, it was kind of soothing, letting his excitement and enthusiasm wash over her. How could someone be so enthused about a random food at 8am? Julie struggles to follow his train of thought and why she was his chosen person to call about the matter. But she doesn't think he really wants her input anyway. Just an excuse to call her.
She’d been guilty of a similar thing. Calling him for no real reason other than the fact she’d wanted to talk to him. At least when she’d called it had been at a reasonable hour and about something more interesting than a weird food dish.
“How long have you been up?” Julie cuts through his rant on weird British dishes, stifling a yawn against her covers.
“Er…” there’s a pause, phone line crackling as he seems to think, “Like an hour? I went out to get the boys coffee, because I’m super nice like that, but they were still asleep when I got back and I tried to wake ‘em up but Alex threatened to throw my guitar out the window so I wandered around the hotel for a while, drank my coffee, then I drank Alex’s as revenge, and then I got bored of walking around so now I’m sat in a park and talking to you. And drinking Reggie’s coffee. It’s the worst one. I hate oat milk.”
Julie can almost picture him, sitting on a random bench in a random park somewhere in Edinburgh, notebook and tangled headphones and three empty coffee cups next to him, all jittery caffeinated energy. It makes her smile and huff out a small laugh.
“You’re going to be so insufferable after all that coffee. They might kick you out of the band, abandon you somewhere in the highlands,” she teases.
“I’d just keep showing back up. Every time they tried to lose me I’d just show up again at the next venue with no explanation,” there’s a smile in his voice and Julie takes a moment to appreciate that she can tell. That they’ve talked enough now that she knows what he sounds like when he’s smiling, when he’s joking.
“Luke?”
“Yeah?”
“Go eat something with your fourth coffee please. I’m going back to sleep.”
“Shit, did I wake you up again? I thought you had a 9am on Thursdays.” He sounds so genuinely confused and concerned that Julie tries really hard not to laugh.
“I do. But it’s actually Friday, not Thursday.”
There’s a silence on the other end of the line and for a moment Julie thinks that maybe he’s hung up on her, but then he’s letting out a breathy laugh and she relaxes back against her mattress.
“Well fuck. That explains why they guys are still asleep and got pissed when I tried to wake ‘em up then.”
“Tour life is really messing with your days of the week, huh?”
“You’ve no idea,” There’s another pause and she hears rustling and footsteps and then, “I’ll let you go back to sleep. Talk later?”
There’s a note of hesitation in his voice and it makes Julie want to smile, so she does. “Yeah, talk later. Bye Luke.”

Julie spins around and around underneath a streetlight, her eyes locked above her as she watches the streams of light turn with her and make stars dance across her vision. A slight breeze blows her hair around her face and Julie lets out a laugh, light and airy like how she pictures all the bubbles in the drinks she's had tonight.
She closes her eyes against a wave of dizziness and tries to imagine the stars.
There’s too many clouds in the sky for her to see the actual stars when she opens her eyes and it makes her pout, just a little. She likes to see the stars, to try and find constellations, and when she couldn’t do that, to make up her own.
Her phone makes a chiming sound in her hands and she whips her head down to look at it, Luke’s face filling her screen with a small frown, his eyebrows drawn together and a hair sticking up. A wide smile breaks out across her face and Julie raises her phone so it’s level with her face, even as she still spins around.
“Luke! Why are you on my phone?” Distantly, Julie knows she must be almost shouting, but she’s too happy and too drunk to really care.
“Er, you called me?” Luke sounds confused, but as Julie blows hair out of her face a small understanding smile tugs at Luke’s lips and Julie’s momentarily distracted by watching as the smile spreads across his face, reaching his eyes, one of his hands appearing in frame to push his hair out of his face. She stumbles to a stop, feeling a little dizzy from all her spinning and pounding heart.
“I did?” She doesn’t remember doing that, for a moment Julie frowns, lips pulling to the side as her eyes look at the ground before she blows out a breath and shrugs, looking back at Luke’s face on her phone. “Well, hi! We went out for drinks!"
Julie watches as Luke sits up in his bed, a light flicking on next to him and lighting up the room.
(In the morning, when she remembers this, she’ll probably feel bad about waking him, knowing his sleep schedule is already a mess. But right now, standing in the street halfway back to her dorm, two of her friends chatting a short distance away and a cute guy looking at her from her phone, she can’t really find it in her to feel bad. Just a giddy type of happiness.)
“You having a good night?” His voice is a little rough with sleep she notices, adds a gravely note to it that’s not normally there. Julie really wishes she could hear him talk like this all the time, first thing in the morning, in the middle of the night when one of them wakes up, after a nap in the middle of the day.
The best! It would be more fun if you were here, though,” the words stumble past her lips without her even realising what she’s said. And she doesn’t notice the way Luke’s breath seems to catch through the speaker or the way his eyes widen a fraction or the way his smile turns more into a smirk. Whatever he’s about to respond with is cut off by Julie’s mind returning to her original disappointment of the night.
“You can’t see the stars here.”
Luke frowns a little and Julie tilts her phone so the camera is facing up and only the top of her head and her curls are in frame.
“See? No stars, only streetlights.” She pouts, tilting the phone back towards her with an exaggerated pout on her face that makes Luke laugh and Julie pout more. “Why are you laughing!? That’s mean! I miss the stars and you’re laughing!”
“Jules, it’s not like you can really see the stars all that much back home either,” he says it gently, but there’s still that teasing tone in his voice and hearing him call her ‘Jules’ makes butterflies form in her stomach.
“I still miss them.” She mutters, blowing out a breath and conceding the point. She’s honestly too drunk to even fight it and for a moment she sways slightly in place, her eyes staring just above her phone as she gets lost in her thoughts.
About stars and cute boys with calloused fingers and her friends who made her laugh and her mom who had taught her about constellations and how tired she suddenly feels.
“When we’re both back in LA I’ll take you somewhere you can see all the stars,” Luke says softly, so softly she almost misses it, but her eyes flicker down to the screen and lets a soft smile pull at her lips.
“I’d like that.”

Terra has a Chat with a REAL Moderator this Time
Tumblr media
In lieu of my original post that gained a lot of traction, and me talking about being “contacted” by someone claiming to be a mod.
An ACTUAL mod from the Official Cookie Run discord managed to contact me and  set the record straight on a few things, as well as discuss a few things regarding what happened. So it seems that this whole situation has indeed caught the attention of the mods of the Cookie Run Official Discord, and even MicMac himself. So what’s been done?
I do wanna talk about it in greater detail, so I’m gonna put everything in a cut, starting now. If you want the TL;DR version, skip to the second picture of Chestnut with Walnut at the end.
First things First, the person who I talked on the moderation team was someone by the name of Zayder, who contacted me on anon with their details. Using some help from friends We were able to background check and confirm, yes this person is actually legit. So I was reassured I wasn’t walking into some kind of trap.
Tumblr media
(The photo given to me to prove authenticity by a friend. I blurred out their Discord number myself just for the courtesy of privacy)
What’s Being Done to Protect Artists on the Discord, Moving Forward?
I think this is the big question on everyone’s mind since I made my original post and all eyes are on the moderators and MicMac to make the change.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There seems to be a genuine admittance to the fact that the previous way fanart was moderated was ineffective and caused issues such as the theft and reposting to happen.
So they’ve gone ahead and added stricter measures to prevent this from happening again. Including preventing new members from posting until they get the “Cookie” role, a cooldown on the channel to allow for easier moderation and viewing of said artwork, and heavier infractions laid down for art theft.
I mentioned that the cooldown also allows for time for people to appreciate genuine artwork posted. So considering the magnitude of its members I’d say that’s a great first step in moving forward towards protecting community fanartists. I got confirmation from members in my own discord that the cooldown IS indeed already enacted and even increased from 10 to 30 minutes, so I have reassurance that what’s being told to me is true.
They DO have a report system on their bot, but it seems most people prefer just messaging mods so that system in itself is rather flawed, but only so much you can do there.
Tumblr media
(^ This one’s my own artwork, btw!! ^) Zayder also asked me for my own feedback on what could be done to help protect artists, since I am an artist myself. It seems most of the moderation team are not artists and this probably lent itself to making moderation there so weak.
In summary my main suggestions that were noticed were being mindful of traced art, and a dedicated section or post explaining art theft and how it harms artists and the importance of crediting artists. As not everyone understands how it hurts us, some people genuinely are uninformed. Which Zayder stated he would forward to Mic Mac. (Not sure how I feel about my own suggestions going directly to MicMac himself, but you know!!)
Fawn’s Situation happened so Long Ago that most of it is Lost (or worst case scenario, was deleted by a member of the moderation team)
Tumblr media
While the general consensus now is indeed “Yes, Fawn created Nutmeg Cookie,” there doesn’t seem to be much in the way of evidence towards who the perpetrator was (We had their username, hazbinalastor666, but not their ID and they’ve since changed it to cover their tracks) and the moderators involved with Fawn’s “Ban” to be found on the Official Cookie Run Discord. At least not anymore.
Tumblr media
Zayder has confirmed that Fawn “left” the server in December of 2019, which lines up with Fawn’s own statements on the situation. However Zayder stated that whoever kicked her didn’t actually put her on the banlist. So either they kicked her manually, or they used the bot and then used it to erase all evidence of it and pretend nothing happened (which he certainly HOPES is not the case, and I do as well). It did not help that Trial Mods were not a thing yet by this time (They were not introduced until February of 2020), according to what Zayder told me. So things on that Discord were essentially pretty gun-ho. It’s not as simple as looking up a term and going to “Oldest” to track down stuff from the time.  Plus a good chunk of it seemed to have happened through DMs so... Good Luck getting that evidence.
Zayder informed me that Fawn is welcome to come back at any time. Though speaking with her she’s chosen not to, and considering her situation I don’t think anyone can blame her. I would like to believe that the version of the Discord that Fawn had to go through is not the same as the one we have now but something like isn’t essentially going to wash away what happened.
As for evidence that Fawn created Nutmeg first? Yes I do have it. The original incident,  hazbinalastor666 claimed that they created Nutmeg in November of 2019, However there’s evidence in our own discord showing Fawn creating Nutmeg as early as September of 2019.
Tumblr media
As well as the day Fawn came forward on our discord about the situation after keeping quiet out of fear of backlash, ignited by seeing the thief get a commission of Nutmeg. However, I don’t plan to post that publicly unless I have Fawn’s okay.
Yes. The First “Mod” That tried to Contact Me was Pretty Undeniably Someone Posing as a Mod From the Official Discord
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I'm also really curious on what you found false on what the "moderator" said to you. Nobody on the mod team ever told us they were gonna contact you, so I wouldnt know who that is.”
So that was my first sign that clearly the original person who contacted me at least wasn’t doing so without the consensus of the other mods, and neither did they consult the mods afterwards... So very, very likely they were a fake from the start. Some of the things that were off that I told to Zayder, and that we found through conversation were as follows:
The first person contacted me on a throwaway and refused to disclose who they were. Zayder gave me the ID of his personal discord and we could verify who they were easily.
The first person blew off my own suggestions for helping improve the fanart channels with statements like “We’re already cracking down on it.” Zayder asked me for my own suggestions as an artist without even being asked.
The first person kept trying to get me to get Fawn to use a VPN in order to get back into the Official Cookie Run Discord. Despite being told repeatedly that’s not how a VPN works. That’s just fucking weird.
The first person couldn’t track anything down regarding Fawn’s situation years ago, Zayder was at least able to actually pinpoint the date in which Fawn was kicked, and rather quickly too I might add.
Zayder had pretty proficient knowledge on the bot the Discord uses for moderation and how it works. Which he explained to me a few times. The first person said to me at one point, and I quote, “For all I know the bot gives messages when infractions are laid.”
So seeing how talking with a real Moderator like Zayder was, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that someone was trying to dupe me here for some reason. Was it revenge? Did they want some sort of blackmail? Did they want me to proverbially “back off?” And if they ARE a mod why wouldn’t they give the info and such that I gave them to the other mods? Who knows.
TL;DR:
Tumblr media
Long Story short, it does appear as if the Moderation Team and Mic Mac have heard the artists of the fandom and are going to be working hard to lay down stricture rules regarding posting and doing their best to make sure credit goes where credit is due.
Fawn’s incident happened so long ago there’s not much evidence to be found on the Official discord, but we DO have proof that Nutmeg Cookie belongs to UpsetFawn!
The First Person who claimed to be a Mod was a fake and talking with Zayder proved it.
Overall, my talk with Zayder was very pleasant and enlightening and I believe Zayder would say about the same! I never meant to cause such an uproar, but I’d like to think things will change for the better now that we’ve all spoken up on behalf of our fellow artist.
What we need to do now is watch how the Cookie Run Official Discord moves forward and if they’ll stick to their word towards protecting fandom content creators from theft and uncredited reposts. Though after my talk I’m certainly optimistic they will.
Always have your back for your fellow fandom artist, TerraTerraCotta

Ok so these were the cutest~ (ㆁωㆁ)
4, 6, 7, 9, 12, 19, 22, 23, 28, 33, 34, 46, 47, 52, 59, 60, 63, 66, 83, 87, 88, 93, 99
I kno I listed like....all of them lmao but feel free to answer whichever you want and ofc you can ask me in return Baybe ( ◜‿◝ )♡
uHUHUHUHU much content for me to answer, im happy bebe 💜💜💜✨
4 - how do you take your coffee/tea?
hm coffee either Very Black No Sugar (for the sleep deprived me) or iced latte three sugars and theres no in between
and as for tea its All Black Teas That Exist, cinnamon-flavoured especially (but basically all teas that come to mind when u think “autumn”), and rooibos!!! okay basically the only oke i dont like is any type of green tea (which is sad because they look cool but my tastebuds said ✨no✨)
6 - do you keep plants?
honestly id l o v e too because i love plants but,,, im kinda horrible at taking care of them though still way better than the majority of my family (research helps) so the only plant i own is kinda a small-palm-tree-looking thing in a bigass glass jar that i saved from my mother’s plant-destructing hands and its mostly doing well (the ends of its leaves are starting to be yellow tho and im worried:((( )
7 - do you name your plants?
yes!!! though the current one was named by my sister and its called “pickett” after fantastic beasts shsjjsj
9 - do you like singing/humming to yourself?
oh god oh dude you have n o idea
i have absolutely n o singing voice but its something i do constantly to give my brain the right amount of stimuli so basically i listen to music 24/7 and hum to myself 99% of that time
12 - whats your favourite planet?
oh i actually didnt think about this for so long but either pluto (hes a planet screw nasa) or saturn (RINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) or venus (girls,,,and libra,,,)
19 - do you keep a journal? what do you write/draw in it?
okay im gonna be completely honest with yall and say that my every single try at keeping a journal failed spectacularly and i lost motivation after like a few months so my only journals rn are my fancy fake-leather-bound calendar to note tests and assessments into, a kinda roughed up notebook that i uses for noting down poems or scribbling or passing notes in class, and a kinda fancy bullet journal notebook that i used as a book of shadows for a while but since my fountain pen died i didnt touch it
22 - are you a morning person?
n o
i am so not a morning person but i wish i could be because honestly dawns are beautiful
but as it is rn im either sleep deprived all the time and loathe every second of being in an awake state or (if i have a few days of schoolbreak) my biological clock moves forward a few hours and i sleep 2am-10am
23 - whats your favourite thing to do on lazy days with zero obligations?
except for the fact that i dont remember the last time it happened, i would probably spend it drawing outside, watching anime with my sister and riding a bike around the forest
28 - sunrise or sunset?
i love sunrises because its so peaceful and everyone is asleep but also i subconsciously immediately correlate them with waiting for a train to take me to school (because thats basically the only time i see them) so its a bittersweet love especially with my fucked up biological clock
but sunsets are really really pretty too and i see them more often so i cant choose
33 - whats your fave pastry?
and isnt that a millior-dollar question dhsjjsjsj
either cinnamon rolls (i absolutely adore them) or that one specific type of cupcake-shaped-thing made out of shortcrust/bread/whatever its called and filled with vanilla pudding
34 - tell us about a stuffed animal you kept as a kid. what is it called? what does it look like? do you still keep it?
awwww this is cute
okay so basically my two favourite stuffed animals (i still have them, they sit in my wardrobe) were two teddy bears (like maybe 20cm high each of them) and one was pure brown and the other was silver-brown and they had stereotypical polish male names “Waldek” (read. Valdek) and Stefan (i think tho im not sure if i remember correctly, my memory is a feeble thing sometimes
46 - tell us the worst pun you can think of
what dog would never bite you? a hot dog *badumtss*
47 - what food do you think should be banned from the universe?
huh a year ago id say pineapple pizza but i guess i dont hate pineapples that much anymore (tho putting them on pizza is still an abomination) but i think that if id ever want to get rid of anything it would be parsley, i hate that freakin herb (does it count as food tho)
52 - what are your favourite memes of the year so far?
the ever given for sure shsjshjsjsjsjjsj
but bullying tramp stamps is gold and pure tumblr energy too
as for fandom memes: im in love with all keeping-up-with-the-todorokis variations and the fact that the entire bsd fandom looked at fukuchi and said “biTCH” and thats one of the only things we’re unanimous about
59 - whats your favourite myth?
i always liked the kora/persephone myth (though demeter is an overbearing parent to the nth power), loki and thor crossdressing at a party to get mjolnir back, atalanta because shes a queen and id politely ask her to kick my ass, and cassandra because she deserved better, and theres a l o t more because alas i was a mythology nerd but this post is long enough for me not to make this section 20 times longer sjjsjsjsjsjks
but there are a lot of slavic myths that are very cool too, though we dont know that much about them as about the greeks for example
60 - do you like poetry? what are some of your faves?
o o o o h yeah i do like poetry because to create such a beautifully sounding thing with only words someone has to be a genius
some of my favs are: some works of nakahara chuuya (thank u bsd for introducing me to this man’s beautiful imagery in his works i swear to god the descriptions do it for me) (also his poem about having hangovers is a mood like i feel you buddy), the raven by ea poe (i know everyone likes it but hOLY DAMN THE INTER/INTRAVERSE RHYMES ARE LIKE,,, BREATHTAKING) (and aso im a slut for gothic horror), and many more but also That One Poem From Welcome To Nightvale about reaching the island in the west,,, only perfect vibes from it
63 - are you fussy about your books and music? do you keep them meticulously organised or kinda leave them be?
okay heres the thing. for anyone else both my playlist library and my bookshelf would be considered pure chaos of a mad man b u t they actually have a highly focused system which means that i sort them based on their vibes, lovability and (in case of books) their age and whether or not theyre a part of a series so i would say my bookshelf is rather organised (when a quarter of it isnt occupying my desk that is) and my music is more organised than not but sometimes it gets out of control and i have to sort it entirely again
66 - what would your ideal flower crown look like?
either entirely constructed of simple white daisies, entirely constructed of only white roses, or something that probably would win a “how many different coloured flowers can one fit in a flower crown” competition
or something purple (maybe not belladonna)
83 - whats some of your favourite album art?
god i dont know if it counts but hozier’s wasteland baby is probably one of my absolute favourites and no one shall beat that
“thrifted youth” (dalynn) and “standard deviation” (danny schmidt) have very aesthetic covers too
also the iconic p!atd too weird to live, too rare to die! album cover,,, its just iconic what can i say
and last but not least matt meason’s pink-and-black album covers (though bank on the funeral is really pretty too but like,,, “who killed matt meason” d o e s it for me and so does the 2017 tribulation single)
87 - what are some movies that you think everyone should watch at least once in their lives?
this is such a hard question because im not a really cinematography-oriented gal but i suppose that (at the risk of not going deep enough into the cinema world):
- the princess bride
- inception
- night at the museum
- SPIRITED AWAY
- forrest gump
- truman show
- E.T. (i cried okay)
- the lord of the rings (because damn me if this isnt one impressive adaptation)
- parasite
and one more personal recommendation: “ready or not” with samara weaving because goddamn i dont usually watch this genre but holy s h i t is it good
93 - whats the hairstyle you wear the most?
honestly just plain hair down (because having curly hair is a menace), split in the middle when i have longer hair and split on one side when its short
also low ponytails or half-up-half-down when im exercising, or double french braids when my hair doesnt cooperate enough to look presentable in any other form
99 - list some songs that resonate with your soul whenever you hear them
this is difficult because my music taste is a goddamn rollercoaster on a good day, but heres some:
- me and the sky from “come from away” musical (this is sort of a test song for my mental stability, if i cry i aint stable)
- dancing after death by matt meason (okay most songs by matt meason except for like,,, hallucinogenics maybe)
- tears and rain by james blunt
- i will follow you into the dark by death cab for cutie
- almost home by mxmtoon
- anything by hozier really but shrike especially
- payphone, the cover by alex g (i cried to this song so many times)
- burning pile by mother mother (can i roast all my problems please)
- long way from home and cleopatra by the lumineers
- autoclave by the mountain goats
oooh that was c o o o o o o o l as fuck thank you sm so much bebe (and sorry for the long post @everyone else)

Day 6 ..Friday          Struggling .. which is why i did nt see the news or spend time on Social Media yesterday..          I thought it would be a breeze and after a little concentration id have it down .. but no , even the first part…known as lumpedy lump was proving tough , because of the triplet  walk up from the V to the 1.. and i think thats the part Jimmy Reed himself is playing…   If you ve read previous episodes you will know i refer to Honest I Do….the song.   Im learning it on a You Tube lesson , now a lot of people who think of themselves as pros , seem to think there s some sort  of stigma ro learning stuff on You Tube, but i know a French guy , of Spanish descent , who is a really hot Flamenco guitarist who has mastered nearly all the Palos , and all on You Tube  They are right, if you dedicate yourself to different songs at the same time, but it s like working form home…you need time and discipline ..and take the lessons very slowly and don’t move on till you can play it 20 times with your eyes shut..preferably standing up .. then move on up. Yesterday  was the first time i managed to do this.   There is a different tone on Social media today .. angrier , more prone to blame others, more censorious…and on one group forum i saw they were going to ban Humour..well , i don’t personally know the Group leader.. but it does nt take much imagination to know she s not someone you d want to be quarantined with.    The only thing to fear is fear itself.. well i certainly don’t think that applies in this situation, quite the reverse, the more frightened we are the less we will venture forth on errands that are not strictly necessary..i was on my way out the door , literally, when my mobile rang…it was the charming woman from the bank.. she d got my message .. id gone way over my limit.. which was why i could nt withdraw funds…She , and i won’t name her, is working from Home and sorted it all out on her laptop..no need for me to go to town..      Is nt that great?..well , I thought it was..and a good thing too,as she has not been provided with any masks..and we are talking about a Bank..if they cant get basic stuff like that no wonder the Government  are nt testing people .. they don’t have the wherewithal…it is nt as though this has nt been on the News everyday since December the something.    .I remember listening to Radio Four as i was driving through Slough, in December,… don’t ask … the M4 was closed..and i was listening to a woman in Wuhan describing how her parents were dying in the Street.. that really got my attention.   It did nt seem to get the attention of the people in charge here however, as when the inevitable arrived nearly three months later , they had done nothing to prepare for it.   The Spanish Disease is politics, it creeps into every corner of life and spreads its poison , a bit like you know what,..and in the past when people got fed up with their venal politicians there was a Military Coup , and then they realised maybe life was better before with democracy … and the cycle starts again. This model has been exported successfully to Latin America.. with the possible  exception of Mexico. and Costa Rica   Its all very well for us stodgy Northerners with our bad weather , to criticise, but Sun affects people, and when things are good they seem so much better  in the Sunshine..but something about Sunny weather produces Volatility, and an @ i won’t fix the roof as its not raining @ World View… and Italys  colossal death rate is the price to be paid .. not that it is nt sunny in China..or South Korea..but they do a lot more than just fix the roof..and to put  it down to Confucianism .. well  maybe best not to start on that.   Australia will be interesting, they have lots of sun , but its a pretty organised place ..and i don’t see them making this sort of Balls up.. also they have the experience of natural disasters,,and pulling together, and will not let Politics interfere…any country that had leaders with  names  like Abbott and Costello doesn’t waste too energy on petty politics.  The Current Classic example of petty minded, spiteful, pointless,  negative ,oppurtunism , is the  attempt on social media and what sup groups to denigrate the Royal Family organising people to rattle saucepans at a given time, because apparently the current King s father had a rather large amount of money in a Swiss Account..well, it was Saudi Money , not money stolen from the Spanish taxpayer, unlike the billions stolen by the previous administration , the PP .The idea for this stupidity was inspired by the Custom of applauding the Medical profession every night at eight o clock.. an excellent morale boosting , bringing everyone together kind of gesture..well everything has its opposite and this is an excellent way to breed more discontent and fracture an all ready pretty fractured society.. it beggars belief and you really have to have lived here to see these Barca Madrid  idiocies at first hand.   Barca Madrid is a term used to describe the divide and conquer ,us and them , attitudes that have stopped Spains progress since the collapse of their Empire, culminating in the most vicious Civil War in recent European History, and one would have hoped  that after 40 plus years of Democracy it would have disappeared , but sadly, like in the USA and a lot of other democracies , it seems to be on the increase. The anger on Social Media which results from the claustrophobic frustration of a lockdown will hopefully not boil over into something with unpleasant political consequences, which would be very sad , as after Francos death and the adoption of constitution that is the envy of many countries, Spain was a beacon of hope in the last quarter of the 20 th century… how the mighty are fallen .. one hopes not.. SPANISH LOCKDOWN DAY  7   Slept really well , but then  I remember reading that people on Death row sleep 16 hours a day so possibly not a good sign.   Last Night i watched the Spanish news ,on the main channel and things are looking up , relatively speaking, in the sense that testing has arrived ..someone, or some country, has sent several thousand, or may be half a million test kits.. which is obviously excellent news , and testing in  Galicia is going full steam ahead. There was the obligatory item about a vaccine..which I think one can take with a pinch of salt. .Military erecting field hospitals next to various main hospitals…the eight o clock applause of medical staff…all in all well put together not too desperately pessimistic, and generally not as disheartening as Facebook.. afterwards i felt like some light relief so we watched eleven episodes of 2 and half men,  in Spanish ,to cheer ourselves up before going to bed.   ..   Today i decided to live a normal day .. if such a thing were possible , so , after taking Tina for a walk i got the Old TV and DVD working and put on Marty Schwarz s Intermediate Blues Guitar Course part one…and it started raining .. so that was encouraging as it took away any temptation to venture outside.. except for firewood that is.   I worked through the course without rushing , but also without too much pausing , as i d done those lessons before, and all that repetition of Honest I do  is paying off..   On going outside for firewood i could not ignore the noise of the generator that kicked in yesterday evening, as we ve had not Sun for several days, so i decided to fill it up with diesel, and see how much 15 hours constant running had used, only half the 20 litre can to fill  up the tank…but was it full to begin with?..anyway it s very rare to have 4 days without sun , so even if it did use  13 euros of diesel  Im not going to freak out as that was expensive diesel.. and I’m entitled to use the cheaper stuff .Of cause i spilled Diesel over my hands , and shoes , and when i spent a good 5 minutes trying to wash the smell out i realised this was the ultimate anti virus test.. so i will leave a bowl of Diesel outside every time i go to town and use that as first part of the disinfection process , yet another excuse not to go to town.    My neighbour M.  rang and suggested i look at his scheme on Facebook to institute Food Deliveries , so one does nt have to go to the Supermarket in person  and infect and be infected… a good idea of course , but like so many , i don’t see it happening…I pointed out several objections , lack of drivers, expense, one would need a sort of Uber program which will probably not be ready for a year .. etc..and the Supermarkets are making so much money i doubt they need this sort of input.I promised to look at it later , which I will , as Lunch was ready.   We ve run out of  Bread ,Oranges and Chocolate, Aurora has broken a nail and the nail bars are closed till further notice…but otherwise  we can probably get through till Monday without suffering too much ..on the other hand Monday is probably the worst day to go shopping..Im toying with the idea of going to the small Supermarket, at 8 am Sunday morning, and hopefully having it to myself , as i cant face the idea of a queue. I know English people are supposed to love queueing but i must be an exception, and queuing nowadays is a High Risk Activity.    The Sun is out and i did one of the jobs from a month old to do list… pumping the water out the flooded pump room , it all went very well , and i felt  very worthy , and now , with the Sunshine it s time for a walk , with Tina , of course.   I return , feeling optimistic .. and the phone rings, i assume it s my neighbour asking if I’ve read his article.it isn’t , it s C another near neighbour, with some very bad news .  The police are in Quarantine…and the Army will soon be here. No Tobacco..as they will close the Tobacconist.  A completely different ball game  I rang M, and gave him the news…I f he d had  a kalashnikov  he d have been checking the magazine  I rang another neighbour  F, whose office is next to the Police Station , to warn him. .When the Rumour , comes to your Town , It Grows and Grows, Where it Started No-one Knows…*Robbie Robertson   I rang my source in the Town Hall G…no , it s only one cop , and he has nt got the results yet..   I rang M  again…he had spoken to his friend who is a Guardia Civil .no , it was nt a Cop it was a Guardia Civil..he also told me the Cuban woman who cleans houses had been stopped, by the Police and they checked the receipt for her shopping    I rang the first neighbour and corrected the original story        I opened Facebook .. and there was the original story , which had started a firestorm of comments along the likes of whats your source? etc as though we were in the Watergate hearings, not only that,  the people reading the story imagined it referred to Mojacar , not Carboneras , and were all frantically ringing the Police Staion , The Town Hall and each other to see if it were true.    The tones of the respective comments went from shrill outrage that anyone should suggest such a story without due documentation , to fear , to I knew this would happen, all these irresponsible idiots .. blah blah   It began to increasingly resemble an episode of Dads Army with a false alarm about a German Landing.., which Facebook does anyway    There is the Captain Mainwaring..@While i was out today making sure everyone was behaving themselves i saw these irresponsible panic shoppers,  and these people walking around without a good reason @     The Fraser .. We Re Doomed     The Air raid Warden…Its all the fault of the Ruling Class, and rules are rules etc     Jones ..Dont Panic... in a tone of complete hysteria    Pikes mother…Be sure to wear your gloves , motorcycle helmet , hazchem suit, mask..galoshes, .Do you have your hand sanitiser , all clothes must be burnt on reentry etc     By this time Auroras original alarm had been replaced by hilarity, as she was sitting by the fire hearing one side of these conversations..     I went out for some more wood and we relaxed by watching a Documentary about the Boeing 737 MAX..complete with simulation in the Pilots cockpit    The best part was the CEO of Boeing trying to justify his 30 million Dollar salary at a Congressional hearing..…i wondered what the Shareholders thought about that , i know what the victims families thought , as they were being interviewed and did nt sound too impressed

Guilt
Tumblr media
Tittle: Guilt Words: 1.1K Pairing: Mia/Sou; 10th Member of EXO, 8th Member of BTS (previous parts:  Teaser | Accident | Waiting)
‘So, I started to work on some new songs for my second mixtape.’, Sou said looking back from the window to Mia, laying on the bed. She was in the same position for over a week and it was only second time for Sou to see her. She came back from America as soon as Chanyeol called her, explaining the whole situation.
Saying that Sou couldn’t sleep for the next few days was a misunderstanding. She couldn’t think straight and about anythwing else but her best friend being in the hospital, unconscious and alone. She couldn’t understand what happened and tried to play the whole situation in her mind. But it wasn’t until she landed in Korea and met with Junmyeon and Mingyu, when she actually understood what happened.
Calling Sou angry was putting it very lightly. She couldn’t understand at who exactly she’s angry or mad at. Was it SM head people? I mean it was them, who put the inspiration in Mia for the whole show and wanting it to look like anything before. Or was it choreographers? They could say something to either Mia herself or managers. Or they could think about easier moves, because from what Sou saw it wasn’t a piece of cake. Both of the choreographers filmed themselves, wanting to show Mia the final piece. And even they didn’t do it perfectly, because of how difficult it was.
Or maybe she should be angry at Mia herself? She knew how hard it was for her to say ‘no’ to people. Especially for people who are higher in charge, than her. Sou knew, how Mia liked to impress people and please them. No matter if it was choreography, singing, variety or even Mingyu. Everything had to be perfect, because Mia wouldn’t take any other option.
‘There’s even few songs, that will suit both of us. I will even consider having slow ballad with me singing on it, like you wanted to do it in the first place.’, Sou said, smilling at the last thought. She was sitting on the couch near the wall, little further away from Mia’s bed. Sou’s legs were on metal chair near her, getting herself more comfortable. ‘Oh, and I finally went throught all your voice messages about your new album. You had  lot of good ideas, but I would change few things, so be ready to start from the beginning when you wake up. Because there’s no way I’m letting you go easy on it.’, she added with a laugh, already hearing Mia’s whine how tired she id and asking Sou to do it instead.
‘I’m so tired of you coming here, even thought our whole family clearly said, that you can’t be here.’, female voice came from the door frame. Sou immediately rolled her eyes, but smirking at the same time. She was waiting for her to come, really tired and done with her pushing Mia’s closest friends away, with the worst excuse.  Sou knew nobody really wanted to say much about the whole situation and confront Lea, because she was a family member and, what they thought, Mia’s closest friend.
‘And I’m tired of you playing the boss here, even if you shouldn’t do it.’, Sou said back, turning her head to the older woman. ‘You’re trying protect her so hard, but actually doing the opposite. For the last week all of her closest friends tried to come here, support not only her but your whole family. And you’re doing nothing, but making this way harder for all of us. I hope, that you know that Mia would be pissed, that you didn’t let in her best friends, people she’s very close to and love of her life.’
‘Her name is Mi-Young and she has people, that are close to her right here. She doesn’t need any of that fake friendships around her anymore.’, Lea said, coming inside the room. She placed her bag on the metal chair and kicked Sou’s legs off of it. Rapper just laughed at the childish actions and stood up, showing that she’s not afraid. Maybe the oppesite - ready to fight.
‘You call me a fake friend?’, Sou laughed, taking few steps closer. ‘If you were the real one, you would know, that she hates being called by her real name. That it all brings back bad memories from school, when people were joking at her for having weird name. When people would call her weird names, because of her accent and blue eyes. People would say the nastiest things about her just because she’s looking a little different, not only from other kids at school, but also her own mother. She chose to be called Mia here, so that she could ran away from the bad past at least for a second. And the only thing, that holds her back to the real one is, that it’s after her great grandmother.’
‘It’s just a name.’, Lea shook her head, looking somwhere behind Sou, making her laugh once again.
‘Maybe for you.’, Sou said. ‘Did you ever got a phone call in the middle of the night, with her crying on the phone, because she had a nightmare, that everything is back again?’, she asked and laughed one more time, when Lea stayed quiet. ‘You don’t know shit about her. And that stupid ban for anyone to come here is just out of your ego and guilt. You were the one, that convinced her to go to SM, knowing very well, that she could be influenced very easily. So technically everything,  that happened to Mia hits you hard. Because you adviced her to audition for SM and not other company. Everytime she ends up in a hospital or has any kind of injury, you take it as a personal hit. So now, you pretend you’re the best big sister anyone could ever have, while you only doing this because of guilt.’
‘How do-?’, Lea started shocked, that Sou has this kind of informations.
‘I’m her best friend.’, she said, taking her bag and adding before walking away: ‘I know most of things, you didn’t even dream about.’

Are The Republicans Winning The Election

Are The Republicans Winning The Election
Tumblr media
California Recall Lesson: Republicans Believe In Elections Only When They Win
Winning Elections: Why and How the Republicans Win
Republicans,;like totalitarians, believe in elections. But only if they always win.
New case in point? California, where voters on Tuesday appeared inclined to keep Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom in a recall election.
Cue Larry Elder, the leading Republican to replace him, who started dropping unsubstantiated claims that the election was;rigged against him.
Start the day smarter. Get all the news you need in your inbox each morning.
The only proof Elder offered was the fact that California voters were poised to pick Newsom over him or anyone else on the long list of possible replacements.
How could that be? Republicans can only lose if theyre cheated, right?
I Do Not Buy That A Social Media Ban Hurts Trumps 2024 Aspirations: Nate Silver
sarah: Yeah, Democrats might not have their worst Senate map in 2022, but it will by no means be easy, and how they fare will have a lot to do with the national environment. And as we touched on earlier, Bidens overall approval rating will also make a big difference in Democrats midterm chances.
nrakich: Yeah, if the national environment is even a bit Republican-leaning, that could be enough to allow solid Republican recruits to flip even Nevada and New Hampshire. And then it wouldnt even matter if Democrats win Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
One thing is for sure, though whichever party wins the Senate will have only a narrow majority, so I think were stuck in this era of moderates like Sens. Joe Manchin and Lisa Murkowski controlling every bills fate for at least a while longer.;
sarah: Lets talk about big picture strategy, then, and where that leaves us moving forward. Its still early and far too easy to prescribe election narratives that arent grounded in anything, but one gambit the Republican Party seems to be making at this point is that attacking the Democratic Party for being too progressive or woke will help them win.
What do we make of that playbook headed into 2022? Likewise, as the party in charge, what are Democrats planning for?
With that being said, the GOPs strategies could still gin up turnout among its base, in particular, but its hard to separate that from general dissatisfaction with Biden.
Georgia’s Brad Raffensperger: National Gop Figures Didn’t Understand Our Laws
But Gabriel Sterling, Georgia’s voting system implementation manager, said on Wednesday that the system is working exactly the way it is intended.
“The irony of saying ‘fraudulent votes have been found’ â he has gained in the finding of these votes,” he said.
Raffensperger has said he’s been pressured by top Republicans to find ways of disqualifying ballots that hurt the Trump campaign.
“They say that as pressure builds, it reveals your character, it doesn’t change your character. Some people aren’t behaving too well with seeing where the results are,” Raffensperger told NPR’s Ari Shapiro on Tuesday.
“At the end of the day, I want voters to understand that when they cast their ballot in Georgia, it will be accurately counted. You may not like the results and I get that. I understand how contentious it is. But you can then respect the results.”

President Joe Bidens path to reelection just got a little harder.
As a result of Census Bureau population figures released Monday, if every state voted the same way in 2024 that they did in 2020, Biden would win three fewer Electoral College votes than he did in November, while the Republican nominee would win three more.
The shift is only a marginal one it would only affect the closest of elections.
But that doesnt mean the new state numbers which are used to apportion the number of congressional districts each state gets, and thus the number of electoral votes wont alter the landscape in 2024 and 2028.
Here are five reasons why:
The gap between the popular vote and the Electoral College is widening.
Biden beat then-President Donald Trump by 74 Electoral College votes. A net gain of six votes for Trump wouldnt have mattered.
But in a close race like the one in 2000, where just five electoral votes separated George W. Bush and Al Gore the re-balancing of the Electoral College could tip the scales.
Thats significant for a party whose presidential candidates have won the national popular vote only once since 1988.
But thats right now.
The Numbers Are Grim Republicans Are Winning At Normalizing Voter Suppression
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Voter ID laws which are sculpted to make it harder to vote are wildly popular with voters, according to surveys
Voter suppression has been around for as long as the republic. Stories of subterfuge and ballot box-stuffing schemes are such a part of American political folklore, theres an entire book about them. So in one sense, there is nothing particularly novel about Republican politicians efforts to rig the vote, or the important revelations that rightwing groups and corporate officials are coordinating state-level campaigns to make it harder to vote.
However, a new nugget of polling data illustrates that something more fundamental has happened: voter suppression is no longer a plot engineered in the shadows and denied in public, for fear of criticism by a population that considers such measures grotesque. Instead, voter suppression is having its coming-out party because more and more Americans now consider it to be a perfectly legitimate and even laudable campaign tactic.
The data point comes in a new CBS/YouGov survey, buried under the topline finding that almost two-thirds of Republican voters do not consider Joe Biden the legitimate winner of the 2020 election, despite Bidens electoral college and popular vote victories.
Nearly half of Republicans surveyed supported the latter move, with the strongest demographics in support being female Republicans, non-white Republicans and white Republicans with no college degree.

Biden Avoids The Microscope
Another benefit Biden can enjoy from having his party control both chambers of Congress is that Republican investigatory powers will be greatly diminished. With Democrats in charge of Senate committees, embarrassing and potentially explosive investigations are unlikely to materialise.
Wisconsin Republican Ron Johnson will no longer run the Government Oversight Committee, so his planned forays into Hunter Biden’s China dealings and any connections to the incoming president will go away. The same applies to Lindsey Graham and the Judiciary Committee, which was expected to hold more hearings into the 2016 Russia election-meddling investigation and the origins of Robert Mueller’s special counsel probe.
Any new Democratic scandals that crop up should also avoid a full and potential politically damaging airing – a luxury Trump also enjoyed during his first two years in office and sorely missed during his final two.

Biden Flips Coveted Georgia The Last State To Be Called By The Ap
The full hand recount of the state’s 5 million presidential votes resulted in a narrowing of Biden’s lead over President Trump in Georgia, but not nearly enough to change the result. He started out with a 14,000 vote lead, and now leads by just over 12,000 votes.
The recount, formally known as a risk-limiting audit, is intended to verify the contest’s winner. As Georgia Public Broadcasting’s Stephen Fowler reported, four counties uncovered a few thousand previously uncounted votes, which subsequently cut into Biden’s margin of victory.
Douglas, Walton, Fayette and Floyd counties all experienced issues with missing or unscanned votes related to human error â but the numbers weren’t significant enough to change the outcome of the election.
Loading…
There is no mandatory recount law in Georgia, but state law does allow for a recount if the margin is less than .5%. It currently stands at .2%.
Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced the hand audit last week, citing the close margin of the race.
The four counties with new vote totals must recertify their results. Statewide election results must be certified by Friday. The Trump campaign then has until Tuesday to request an additional recount, which would be by machine rather than by hand.
Trump has repeatedly questioned the integrity of Georgia’s vote counting, it both a “joke” and a process that led to “fraudulent votes” being found.

Redistricting Is The Next Step On A Path To One
The redistricting process kicked off this week in Washington. The Census Bureau released initial data from the 2020 census Monday afternoon, , which means that congressional district boundaries will soon be redrawn to account for changes in population.
These changes will probably tend to benefit the Republican Party, as conservative states will get more seats for instance, Texas will gain two seats, while New York, California, and Illinois will all lose one. Republicans are also certain to use the process to try to gerrymander themselves as many additional congressional seats as possible by leveraging their control of a majority of state legislatures. And that is just the opening tactic in a long-term strategy to abolish American democracy and set up one-party rule.
Today in Michigan, gerrymandering means Republicans enjoy a 3.4-point handicap in the state House and a 10.7-point handicap in the state Senate; in Pennsylvania, it’s a 3.1-point handicap in the House and a 5.9-point handicap in the Senate; and in Wisconsin, a 7.1-point handicap in the House and a 10.1-point handicap in the Senate.
It’s impossible to gerrymander the Senate, of course, but luckily for Republicans that chamber is inherently gerrymandered due to the large number of disproportionately white, low-population rural states that lean conservative. The swing seat in the Senate is biased something like 7 points to the right.
A Late Surge In Latino Voters Helped Newsom Keep His Job
Who is Winning US Election 2020 | Full 360 Analysis | Analysts, Democrats, Republicans on NewsX
For weeks, Democrats openly worried that Latino voters were not going to show up in force for Gov. Gavin Newsom. That might have spelled doom for the party, which has relied on support from Latino voters to rise to its current grip on power in the state.
But early numbers suggest that it might have been history repeating itself: a late investment in Latino voter outreach, and a late uptick in interest and voting among Latinos. Though it was far from unanimous, the majority of Latino voters backed Mr. Newsom, with some Latino-heavy precincts defeating the recall by as much as 88 percent, according to an analysis by the Latino Policy and Politics Initiative at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Early numbers, though, suggest that Latino voters may still not be showing up to the polls at the same rates as white, Black and Asian American voters. As of Tuesday morning, 30 percent of Latino voters who received their ballots by mail had sent them back, compared with 50 percent of white voters and 40 percent of Black voters, according to Political Data Inc., a Sacramento-based research group.
Historically, Latinos are more likely to vote late, and many observers thought it was possible to see a last-minute surge among those voters. Exit polling suggests that Latinos made up roughly 24 percent of all voters in the recall, and that about 60 percent of those Latino voters favored keeping the governor in office.

Some Republicans Including Trump Make Baseless Pre
As Election Day dawned in California, some leading Republicans were preparing to declare the results marred by fraud.
Elder had already set up a link on his campaign website to a petition asking the state legislature to investigate voting fraud. In recent interviews he encouraged citizens to report voting issues to his campaign and said a team of lawyers was ready to act if needed.
The pre-election efforts to undermine confidence in the results were led by former president Donald Trump, who sent out a statement Tuesday morning warning of rampant voter fraud. In a Tuesday evening interview on Newsmax, Trump repeated his baseless claims, urging viewers to take a look at whats going on right now in California with the mail-in ballots and all the crap that theyre doing.
Shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday outside a voting location at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds in Turlock, Charlotte Dutra, 68, a retired human resources analyst for Turlock Irrigation District, said she is a proud Republican and voted yes to take out.
Dutra said she filled out her recall ballot and dropped it off in person. She said she believes there was fraud in the 2020 election, and shes still skeptical of election integrity in California because the current secretary of state was appointed by the White-privileged Gavin Newsom.
There is no evidence that there was widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election.
Can Pence Affect The Outcome
While Pence has said he welcomes objections to the electoral college count, his role in the processopening envelopes and affirming the victoriesis largely ceremonial.
Last month, Rep. Louie Gohmert, a Republican from Texas, filed a lawsuit in federal court seeking to give Pence the authority to overturn Bidens win, but Pence successfully requested the case be dismissed, with an attorney for the Department of Justice arguing he was not the right defendant.

Newsoms Efforts To Combat Coronavirus Sway Some Voters
In a rapidly gentrifying part of Inglewood, Calif., Gov. Gavin Newsoms imposition of restrictions in response to the coronavirus pandemic swayed some voters as did Republican Larry Elders statements that children do not need to be vaccinated or wear masks.
Keeping a candidate in office thats going to protect health-care workers, protect children, enforce the mask mandate at this point Im on the front lines. I work at UCLA Health in a hospital setting as a manager and am in the thick of it, seeing children get sick, Jolie Emenike, 41, said about the issue that drove her to vote against the recall Tuesday morning.
I dont want to see the vaccine or mask mandates change, she said.
For Dan Sabin, too, the vaccine rules were top of mind, though his conclusion was different.
I was subject to a vaccine mandate when I was younger in Romania. We overthrew our government, but I still have the lasting effects of that mandate, said Sabin, 33. I definitely recalled Gavin Newsom.
Although he called mail-in ballots a massive risk, the software engineer said he trusts the election process.
Im not really sure. You have to trust the people that do the ballots, he said. Ultimately, the people that work in there are people in the community.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
To be sure, though, Fragas own research has found that white voters, regardless of how easy or hard it is for them to vote, consistently turn out at higher rates than voters of color, so we do want to be careful of not reading too much into this. Jennifer McCoy, a political scientist at Georgia State University who studies the effects of polarization on democracy, told me that she thought the current emphasis on voter restrictions boiled down to Republicans thinking they could appeal to Trumps base by codifying his baseless claims of voter fraud. know they have to attract Donald Trump supporters who now believe there is fraud, said McCoy. So a large part of the current efforts to change voter laws was a direct response to this last election. Large majorities of Republicans continue to believe Bidens win is not legitimate, and a that only 28 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning people agreed that everything possible should be done to make voting easy, a steep drop from 48 percent in October 2018.
The GOPs restrictionist bent sends the message that Republicans dont want Black and brown Americans to vote. In September 2020, 54 percent of Black respondents and 35 percent of Hispanic respondents told FiveThirtyEight/Ipsos they believed Republicans didnt want people like me to vote.
Don’t Miss: What Percent Of Republicans Approve Of Trump
Why Are Republicans Fighting So Hard For Georgia
While the presidential election results were full of disappointments for Donald Trump, losing Georgia may have been the unkindest cut.
Like Arizona, the state hadn’t been carried by a Democrat since 1992. But unlike that desert state, Georgia wasn’t considered an electoral battleground until the campaign’s final weeks.
That, along with the narrowness of the Biden lead in the state, may be why the Trump team has fought so furiously to flip the state to his column – even if it means going to war with local Republicans overseeing the state’s election.
The president’s efforts to cast doubt on the results in Georgia are complicated by the fact that the state’s two runoff contests in January will decide control of the US Senate. The more he feuds with his own party in the state, the greater the risk division will lead to Republican defeat.
Trump is making Georgia his first presidential visit since the election. The stated purpose is to campaign for the two Republican incumbent senators, but he is sure to continue to call into question the presidential verdict in the state.
Reversing the election results has proven to be a futile battle, but it seems the only thing worse for this president than actual defeat is appearing to accept it.

Birds of Prey rewrite
Birds of Prey/ Harley Quinn Fix this story
My disclaimer: I ma more a Birds of Prey than Harley Quinn fan, though I love her in the cartoons and Suicide Squad. However, this movie was not good. Basically the story needs to be an empowering, funny, sexy, chick flick and it fails miserably. First, the costumes must be wonderful, not the trash bag thrift store panic shopping of the movie.
Synopsis: Harley and the Joker break up. Not sure what happened because it does not matter, but it happened when she was in prison. Harley does a drunken melt down, similar to the movie, but the soundtrack is “bang” by AJR. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4THFRpw68oQ During this Harley realizes that she has no friends. They are all Jokers crowd, and the ones who are still friendly think they are getting back together. They are also all gangster groupies. One can even quip “girls just wanna have fun”. This is different from the movie because she thought she had friends, not just Joker. Harley is doing what she calls couch surfing, which means breaking into rich people’s second homes while they are out and eating their food and raiding their closets. Harley is arrested and Amanda Waller tells her that she is on indefinite probation if she can show she is rehabilitated. Basically the suicide squad can only be from activated criminals who have potential to be rehabilitated instead of the worst. “I want you on a chain, but they want you lobotomized or put down like a rabid dog. Your choice. Is this you or is this him?” She chooses mandated rehab. “Which one?” “I don’t care. You are the psychiatrist. DO them all” New Rules: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2qgadSvNyU
SO we have the joy of Harley quin going through 12 step (and other) programs.  Shot of a board at a Y/center with the Support Groups schedule. She takes the whole thing. Comedy montage of Bikram yoga mindfulness class, breaking the finger of a guy that gropes her, “SO sex addicts group was a mistake” etc. Visual quote of Fight Club support scenes. In “co-dependents no more” she meets Canary/Dinah, who she had seen around. Canary is assigned as her sponsor. Part of the fun is we are not sure who Canary means when she describes “Men in power are addictive. The surrender of control, the reduction to Id, seems like a type of freedom. But it is a cage. You are on their leash.”  Ras-al Ghul or Arrow? (Hint underlying message- all of the birds in the movie destroy their cages- or make new ones) HQ:“You know the 12 step programs don’t work if you are an atheist.”  Canary: “You know that placebos work even if you know it’s a placebo?” Therapy montage song options:  I Love me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vImvzQCb0o8&list=PL3oW2tjiIxvTKa5OYCIb8TdKjxSYuv5dg&index=23
I drive me mad: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqBvK14JPGg&list=PL3oW2tjiIxvTKa5OYCIb8TdKjxSYuv5dg&index=36
In the different groups, she meets many people including Cassidy Cain in Klepto Anonymous. Harley co-opts and ends up leading several of the sessions. (I am OK with the casting of Canary but would like Camila Cabello. Though she could be Huntress.) Cassidy is a very different character from the movie. She is still 13, but smarter, and always on a phone. Running joke, it is a different phone in every scene. She is an epic pickpocket, appearing to be a clueless teen who bumps into people because she talks and texts and selfies all at once while actually picking people’s pockets and photographing security. She also gleans information and is the source of information on why people hate Harley.  “Wow. You should see his Instagram. He should be banned for those images. Just a sec. Done.” She is the definition of plucky comic relief. Casting should actually cast a minor. (Marsai Martin, Mckenna Grace, Brooklynn Prince.)
The Bertinelli Diamond is a nice plot device, bringing in Huntress who is tracking it as well as the gangsters who killed her family. (BTW this needs to be recast with someone who has a charisma and can at least dance. Madison Beer, Nicole Maines, Hailee Steinfeld, etc. Huntress wears motorcycle leathers, a very Asian gang vs American biker look) HQ: “OOo! Italian leather!” The Huntress backstory is necessary but cut the bit about young Helena drawing with crayons. If she draws, it should be recognizable. She’s had art lessons since 2.
Harley sees Cassidy Cain on the street steal from a known gangster.  The chase begins. We can keep the glitter cannon/ prop room brawl, but it should be a gangster hideout not the police station, (unless she can get out of it another time and have a joke where Canary coughs “white privilege”) However, to preserve a better story arc, let’s move this to a gangster vault, and have this be where we meet the Huntress. Here is where we realize that Harley loves to hit things, but hates to shoot things. Huntress is fine shooting things. “Do you have to kill everybody?” “Do you have to blow up every crime scene?” “yes” Bad Guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyDfgMOUjCI
SO Harley has Cassidy and Huntress hanging around. Huntress wants to use Cassidy as bait while they wait for the diamond to drop. Funny bit as Huntress gets sucked into group, probably an anger management group. “I always wanted to be a teacher” Harley wants to finish her program and needs to check in with her sponsor. She is on step 8/9.
Canary: “DID you make your list” HQ: “ I think so.” Drops a ream of paper. “I have to apologize to everyone?” “It’s a start. And I know someone you could start with. It might be easier than the rest because she was hurt when you were in jail” HQ”????” Canary “Practice” Barbara Gordon is never referred to using her whole name. (casting: Liana Liberato, Kennedy McMann) The cop in the movie is completely unnecessary. Either have Oracle, “B” be in the movie or cast someone like Rosario Dawson to be a kick ass Hispanic cop and have her stuck in vice and always asked to work for ICE. Since Gotham city embodies the worst of our current world skewed through a dark lens of madness, having the women in the movie own that “the women in Gotham are the ones who have to clean up and deal with the shit and the fallout of all the crazies.”-B. “That ain’t me”-HQ. “You act like the only options are to be the ass who trashes the place or the maid. (I’m going to) Find something else”-Cassidy. The rest of the film is Bs first real run as Oracle, remotely feeding them information, using drones, shutting down the bad guys tech. “There’s more than one way to fight.”
At the climax, which does have a giant brawl of gangster thugs after the team, but all of the team, each having a dose of enemies. It begins with a girl power makeover scene as they are arming. Cassidy:“We should RUN!” Huntress: “I have been running and hunting my whole life. I want this over” Huntress gets carbon fiber outfit from B “Moves better than leather and is knife and bullet resistant, but not proof” Harley gives Canary the fishnets. “Just try them. You need some fun.” The girls make Harley stop with the white face. “Keep the Harlequin Loose the clown. “  Cassidy has a CIA briefcase she stole from the gangster prop room HQ: “Where’s ya get that?” Cassidy:” Stole it from the gangsters but can’t open it”  B:”Here let me” It is adaptive camouflage stealth tech armor. Cassidy: ”Yay! You can’t hit what you can’t see” HQ and Huntress: ”That’s what grenades are for” HQ: “Jinx!” B: “No grenades!” HQ:”we know. No Grenades! (softer)… inside”
Makeover song montage options: My way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5I4KwxMXAA
All the good girls go to hell:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PZsSWwc9xA
Nice to meet ya: (also might work for the group therapy montage)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRvKL8FnrtU&list=PL3oW2tjiIxvTKa5OYCIb8TdKjxSYuv5dg&index=42
The massive gangster fight proceeds. The movie does OK with this except for the dubious production design, and the lack of using Huntress well. And that all of the gangsters are completely incompetent. Note on the bad guys: We do not need a named bad guy. The “Black mask” was lame and sucked screen time. It can just be gangs, at least one run by the gangster(s) Huntress needs to kill. But just mafia, not stupid mask nonsense. As part of the makeover montage, they make a plan and set up a kill zone. B: Looking at Cassidy:”cough- Capture zone” Cassidy (on phone) “Please, what am I 12? Gotham only has kill zones.” B: “maybe we can change that” HQ: “Not tonight we can’t. Baby steps” Huntress snipes the ones with automatic guns that enter the building. Casandra fights and hides. Dropping stuff from vents, etc. When the dust settles, Joker appears: “DO I have to do everything myself?” He tries to talk Harley into coming back, She freezes, then realizes he is just distracting her so he can grab Cassidy.  It works. She chooses her new life and goes to get Cassidy.  She defeats him and kicks him off of the pier, possibly while analyzing him. “You were a horrible boyfriend!”
At the end, Birds of Prey is formed, with the good costumes. HQ:“I drop by every now and then, but I need to work on me. Cassidy stays with B, but we see each other all of the time” “Do I have to stay with you? You’re no fun” B: “I’m the only one who can pass a background check”
HQ; “I got an apartment. I had to get a roommate but I think it will work out.” There is a shot of the Help board at the Y/center with the “roommates” section and she grabs one of every tab numbers including one that says “Ivy” (Cameo of Evan Rachel wood or one of the CW redheads asking “Do you like plants?”) (This can occur earlier if we need a comic break)
“And I got a job. Turns out in Gotham, group leaders can have an expired license.” Shot of Harley sitting in a bright spotlight with a notepad in a shadowed room full of figures in chairs with a highlight on a cape, an animal ear, etc. “Who wants to go first?”

10 things we learned from the Champions League after Liverpool’s win in Madrid
The Champions League reached its conclusion on Saturday evening when Liverpool lifted their sixth European Cup after a forgettable 2-0 win over Tottenham .
The final in Madrid may not have lived up to expectations, but the competition as a whole provided plenty of drama, intrigue and wonderful stories along the way.
Here, Sportsmail's Rob Draper reflects on what he learned this season, from the resurgence of the Premier League to getting caught up in Messi -mania.
Liverpool lifted the Champions League trophy after beating Tottenham 2-0 on Saturday night
1. TERRIBLE FINALS ARE BACK
Frankly we've been spoiling. Anyone under the age of 20 must be wondering just where that cliché about tight, dull finals originated.
For the last nine years, the Champions League has delivered a succession of humdingers. Personal favorites would be a sublime Barcelona taking apart Manchester United at Wembley in 2010; Atletico so nearly getting across the line against Real Madrid in 2014; Barca, again, extraordinary in 2015; Mandzukic's goal in 2017 and Bale's in 2018; and last year's Real Madrid-Liverpool clash with more plot twists than a Jed Mercurio screenplay.
But there is no hiding from the truth: this was a terrible game of football. The only real mitigating factor was that Spurs played reasonably well and created chances in a 25-minute spell in the second half.
Harry Kane struggled to make an impact as Liverpool squeezed fits Tottenham in Madrid
But take heart: it wasn't the worst ever. Much worse were AC Milan-Juventus (0-0 and 3-2 on pens) in 2003 * and Steaua Bucharest-Barca (0-0 and 2-0 on penalties) in 1986. Yes, you read that right: 2-0 on pens! Barca missed all their penalties. Big football occasions used to be routinely awful. Hopefully this was an aberration.
* A colleague was trying to argue the 2003 final was technically better than last weekend. To which I would say, when you're playing at 10mph, most of us look pretty good, technically.
In fairness, to be absolutely sure it was the worst ever, I'd have to go back and watch it again. Which is something I'm never going to do. Obviously.
2. AND … THE ENGLISH ARE BACK!
Well, the Premier League at least. You can trace the decline of the Premier League from 2011 onwards (Chelsea's win in 2012 was a weird outlier from an aging team that had been much better four years before).
Last season indicated signs of a revival. But the real clincher was watching Barca – especially Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez – struggle with the intensity of Liverpool's pressing in the semi-finals. The uncontested procession towards La Liga title doesn't offer that level of football. And it showed.
Lionel Messi and Barcelona were no match for Liverpool in the second leg of their semi-final
3. AND ENGLISH FANS ARE BACK … IN A GOOD WAY
Take 100,000 English fans, book them in a baking hot European city and just add beer to ensure carnage. That's the rule.
And though I doubt that it was without incident, generally it seems over the weekend in Madrid that, actually, you can turn up, party and not trash a city, throw bicycles in a canal, upturn tables or scrap about who's got the biggest team.
The excellent fan parks help – so hat tip to Madrid authorities – but if Spurs and Liverpool can do it and still be singing together in pubs at 3am, then why can't more clubs?
Liverpool fans sing inside the Wanda Metropolitano shortly before kick-off on Saturday night
4. AND ENGLISH TACTICS ARE BACK (THANKS TO A GERMAN AND ARGENTINE)
English sides dominated Europe from 1977 to 1984, with Liverpool winning it three times, Nottingham Forest twice and Aston Villa once. That's not a coincidence.
Such a run usually occurs when a club, culture or region is tactically better. Being English we prefer to talk in terms of heart and commitment. But in essence, from memory, English teams in that era pressed harder and spooked their opponents with the intensity of their game.
This was a period when Italian teams were still enormously influenced by catenaccio and low-risk football while German clubs were wedded to 3-5-2 and expected time and space.
Nottingham Forest's John Robertson, Ian Bowyer and Kenny Burns celebrate victory in 1979
What happened? English teams were banned for five years after Heysel and by the time they returned 1990, the splendid isolation meant the English game had fallen in love with the long ball, which was easy to beat for most Euro clubs.
But meanwhile, thanks to Marcelo Bielsa and Jurgen Klopp / Ralf Rangnick, Latin and Germanic countries discovered the joy of pressing and intensity without losing their passing skills.
So, in a way, we're back full circle. Though, technically better than ever before (not that you would have noticed on Saturday) and much fitter.
5. WRITE WHAT YOU SAW, NOT WHAT YOU THINK YOU SAW
I'm as guilty as anyone on this. After the Camp Well semi-final, it was all about Messi. Journalists love a narrative arc. Messi is the easiest one in the game. Stuff the team. It makes it all about the individual and that's a much simpler story to write.
"Siri: write me a generic Messi match report." It will certainly include the phrases: "diminutive genius, little Argentine and immortal extra-terrestrial." I know. I've done it.
We all got caught up in the Messi-mania that night but it's not what actually happened. In the second half you could see Barca, just in the safety of their Well Camp home, simply couldn't cope with the pace of the game. Liverpool were significantly better. Still, it's a good writer to take that piece on after a 3-0 defeat.
Messi scored a super free-kick as Liverpool lost 3-0 to Barcelona, despite being the better side
6. PEP STILL HAS ISSUES
A colleague puts Manchester City's elimination down to luck. And it is true they played superbly well in the second leg against Spurs and would ordinarily have won more convincingly.
It's also true that with VAR vs. Liverpool in the second leg last year, they go 2-0 up before half time; without VAR this year, they win 5-3 and go through.
But privately Guardiola has admitted he is getting it wrong in the Champions League. And he's right. THIS DOESN'T MEAN HE'S A TERRIBLE COACH. (Sometimes you need to spell it out for Twitter).
He's super, one of the best, changed the game etc etc. But there is a consistent flaw when he's up against the very best sides.
Since leaving Barcelona, he was eliminated three times in semi-finals with Bayern. In those six games, he conceded 13 goals. At City, he's not got the quarters, and in those ties, he conceded 16 in six games. So, 29 conceded in 12 games. Or almost two-and-a-half a game.
Pep Guardiola reacts after seeing Manchester City knocked out of the Champions League
Just allowing for the fact that by the semi-finals, you're playing the best opposition, that's a lot. If you're conceding 2.5 goals a game, you're unlikely to win anything.
Many of those goals have come in spurts as well (vs Real Madrid 2014, Barca 2015, Liverpool 2018). My premise is that his teams are unsurpassed at steamrollering domestic opposition. But the very best sides can find the flaw in the system. And often do.
7. YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE IS STILL THE BEST FOOTBALL SONG
You can be irritated by Liverpool's 'This means more' campaign and still acknowledge that nothing quite captures the emotion of the game more than 'You' ll Never Walk Alone '.
That unscripted TV clip of Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger looking at the Liverpool fans singing with Mourinho counting the producer not to cut to them, was priceless.
"Mourinho says," This is more beautiful than what we can say, "That's unique, you know," adds Wenger.
Both of them, old softies at heart, deeply in love with fan culture and English football in particular. For a second, you could envisage a teenage Mourinho watching grainy TV pictures or European finals and being captive in a way only a child can be.

8. BUT … SORRY CITY AND UNITED FANS. EVERY FAN OF OTHER TEAMS, ACTUALLY. IT REALLY DOES MEAN MORE
I'm not a Liverpool fan. (They robbed my team of the 1976 title and I still bear the scars) But really there is something special about this club and the European Cup, just as there is for Real Madrid and AC Milan.
Forget for a moment the six trophies. In the past 21 competitions, since Manchester United's win in 1999, only Real Madrid (six) and Bayern Munich (five) have been in more finals than Liverpool (four).
Barcelona and United are equal with Liverpool on four. But read the thing: Liverpool hasn't actually been much good about the past 20 years.
They've only participated in 11 of those Champions League campaigns. Meaning, if they qualify to make the final every three years.
Real Madrid, Bayern and Barca have been in 21/21 of those campaigns. United in 19/21. Juventus, on three finals, have also been in 19/21. Manchester City, who have qualified for eight campaigns, haven't got past the semis.
If your history and culture keeps telling you that you're special, that this Cup means more to you than others, that your European nights are better than anything … well, it's obviously a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Steven Gerrard lifts the Champions League trophy after Liverpool's epic comeback in 2005
9. JURGEN KLOPP ISN'T A FRAUD (AND CONTROVERSIALLY, NOR IS MAURICIO POCHETTINO)
Apparently the two Bundesliga titles, won against the odds, and the DFB Cup didn't count. Klopp had lost six consecutive finals.
More importantly: "He'd never won in England!" And, of course, that's the pinnacle of football.
'You might have your glittery Bundesliga shields, but have you ever won the Carling Cup in England,' Juande Ramos taunted at every UEFA coaches' convention, as Jose Mourinho scoffed in the background, while holding up eight fingers to indicate the trophies that really matter to him, the ones he won in England. (I may have made this last anecdote up).
'In all departments of life, including your job, if only the best counts and effort doesn't count then life is s ***. If I'm not as smart as Einstein should I not try just a little bit because I will never be him? ' That's the question True posed prior to beating Manchester United this season, when asked about his trophy count compared to Mourinho's.
Jurgen Klopp lifts his first trophy as Liverpool manager after joining the club in October, 2015
"This season has been a year full of wonderful moments, wonderful moments altogether," he said after the Barca game, before he knew whether he would end the season with a cup or not. "A moment like this is worth more than silverware." And he was right.
Ultimately, you play to win and thus for cups. But as Johan Cruyff used to say, "Who remembers Germany 1974?" (Allright, the Germans do) But finally there is so much more to football and being a good coach that the big shiny thing at the end.
If not, then Ramos, Tony Barton and Roberto Di Matteo are better than Mauricio Pochettino. Which is clearly nonsense.
10. FINALLY … FOOTBALL IS WONDERFUL
That moment: Jordan Henderson clutching his father, Brian both of them sobbing.
You didn't even need to know the back story to be moved. But when you did – Brian having overcome throat cancer – it meant even more.
Add in the fact that Henderson has fought for every grudging ounce or respect in his football life, from Sir Alex Ferguson saying he ran funny to skeptical Liverpool fans.
When he took the captaincy from Steven Gerrard, it seems like an interim phase. Instead he's up there with Emlyn Hughes, Phil Thompson, Graeme Souness and Gerrard. His performance in the second leg against Barca deserves to be mentioned alongside Roy Keane's against Juventus in 1999.
Jordan Henderson got to hug his father Brian in Madrid after he survived throat cancer
Yet there was still more to glean from that picture. Football does so much for parent-child relationships. And that can just be as likely as mother and son and father and daughter. But often it is father and son, given the manner in which the sport has been (wrongly) male dominated.
I've no idea where the Henderson's position in this regard, but often they have issues counting their sons or dads that they really love them. And showing it. To see it demonstrated so viscerally was joyful.
The football, after all, and that big shiny cup, is only a means to an end. It's just a way to hang out together with people. And an expression of our love for team mates or friends, daughters and mothers, son and brothers.

Prison Pt 2
continued from previous blog.....<3
Soooo now you've all got over the whole prison ‘thing’ lets discuss what 5 weeks inside a prison did for me.
I Slept that first night . I have no doubt that was pure exhaustion. I heard an alarm going off at around 5am and was aware something was ‘kicking off’ further down the corridor. That morning having not really been told what to do the night before and only having tv shows for guidance , up to this point, I was aware that I should prob be up and dressed by time breakfast was called .....whatever time that may be ?! I literally had no idea. Needless to say I didn't need to worry at 7am a prison guard walked around the wing , unlocking the doors and saying good morning to each prisoner. it was all rather dignified and polite to be fair. I asked him what I had to do and he said don't worry we would get called for breakfast and then we would be on lock down till 11am. I learnt from another prisoner that lockdown was locked in our cells.
It was a good wing to start off on to be honest as that morning a couple of other first timers arrived and some regulars too. It was scary but also a type of community began to form. We all talked and formed bonds that, well, for me defiantly, took. me through my time in jail. All ages, all offences and each wing had one long timer on who helped us all learn the basics, the what to do’s and what not to do’s. There was an element of “who not to talk too going on “ which I took with a pinch of salt.... I wasn't niece enough to know politics/grudges were not rife in prison.
That first day I cried in my cell. I made lifelong friends, I ate the worst food imaginable and I laughed. Yep I actually laughed .... a group of 6 of us were sat around the eating area and something was said and we all laughed then looked at each other as though no-one was quite sure if that was allowed or right (new timers ) ....even the officer on duty shouted across the room. “This is prison you shouldn't be laughing” it was only when he started laughing that we realised he was laughing with us.
In the 5 weeks I remained in jail for breaking my bail, so until I had my next court hearing, I moved wings 3 times. Due to being on a mental health ACCT I was in single cells each time. I personally preferred that as I needed to hide at times from the noise and “life in jail” atmosphere. Others much preferred to have cellmates and each to their own.
When people ask me how was jail I normally answer with “Well it was ok , it wasn't shocking bad”. and this is generally correct. I wasn't attacked or bullied, I wasn't treated like shit by staff. We ate well if we choose too eat full on stooge everyday lol. The other parts that I don't talk so much about..... well that I think until this point ive shared with a handful of people , is the overwhelming loneliness, the lack of suitable medication available (due to concerns regarding trading meds, so some meds were completely banned) just so happened these were two of my main meds so I suffered. My daughters birthday happened whilst I was in jail and this was incredibly hard to deal with as her father refused to let them visit, me being in jail was the ultimate control he could have ever wanted. The first 10 days I had to wait for my calling numbers to be approved and this meant I couldn't call people although my mental health team did arrange that I got my best friends number approved and £2 credit put on my Canteen -  (the jail credit system) as my money hadn't arrived from the outside.  Ninety nine percent of staff were friendly, approachable and non judgemental but like anywhere the other one percent let staffing down. I was on lockdown for 72 hrs twice. first time was because I had a sickness bug so rightly so your put on cell lockdown so its not passed around prison.2nd time I was wrongly put on lockdown and despite telling the guard who did it I shouldn't be as I hadn't been unwell in 2 weeks it was only till my mental health team paid me a unannounced visit that staff realised they had put the wrong person on lockdown. This may not seem like much but when your in jail and the highlight of any day is the unlocked door ....30 plus hrs on wrongly assigned lockdown turned me slightly unstable and it was during this point they also moved me from the “welcome wing” and into a new wing. This wing I can only describe as a submarine in disrepair. I was in a tiny single cell with no shower or closed off toilet. Inmates who were assigned this cell had to use a communal shower which was inhabitable, and yes I went days without a shower. My toilet was behind a small two foot wall and I was clearly in line sight of anyone walking past the door, closed or not, as my eye hole (as I called in) wouldn't close. THIS was most defiantly an old, un updated part of the prison. It was exactly how a innocent me believed prison would be like! My mental health went dramatically downhill and it was in this cell that I first tried to take my life. I made and used a ligature and despite being on 8 min watch, I managed to ligature myself against the desk chair. A member of staff was called by another prisoner who had walked past and seen me through the eye hole. I heard alarms and felt the ligature being cut off . That evening I was on 3 min watch and as such they might as well have just not moved all night. My mental health care coordinator visited and declared me at risk of myself. No change then. I discussed how depressed I had been feeling since the change of cell and that things like my lack of a shower or a working phone meant I could self soothe by calling my best friend or children. This was seemingly took into consideration and the next day I was moved to my final cell. This was more like the welcome wing although twice the size (the wing not my cell).
Sadly the last couple of weeks got harder for me in many ways, I seemed to have rubbed up a repeat visitor who took offence to my ‘posh voice’ and this became a very touchy issue. I can only describe it in the manner that she took an instant dislike to me and let me know about it. I was lucky that I had made ‘close’ friends from the start and a few of those followed me onto my final wing and during unlocked points I stayed close to them and didn't feel scared, more trepidatious as to why me. Lock up she went through a few days of screaming about killing the posh bitch which not gunner lie made me kinda glad the guards locked the bloody doors!! During this time I also couldn't contact my children as unbeknown to me their dad had told the prison system to ban my children phone numbers from my calling list. This broke me. I can't come close to being able to explain how this made me feel. What was the point ? what did I have to live for now ? I had made sure my chilren had been aware that I was in jail because id done something wrong but they were also of an age where they knew why I had done what I had done. They had been brought up to believe people in jail were there because they were nasty or dangerous and I then had to explain how its not always that simple.... it was hard to maintain those values and morals that id brought my children up with too explaining why I was in the situation I was in.
That night I waited till I had been checked on and I ligatured myself and placed a carrier bag over my head which I tied tight with the 2nd ligature. I blacked out. I came round to a room full of prison officers and medics and vomited on a medics shoes. I was told by a guard they had called code blue, which means prisoner suspected not to be breathing.
I was put on constant watch from that point for the next 48 hrs. I could feel myself giving up on everything. I needed to call my best friend at least twice a day and he became my lifeline. I realised that out of everyone in my life he actually cared. He even arranged a visit. he was the only person who did. He was down as my next of kin and presumed he had been informed regarding the incident but it was only upon leaving jail that I realised he hadn't been informed at all. Jail life was just that ... jail life. it wasn't nice. it was scary, it was lonely and it was demoralising. I was in jail for breaking my bail NOT for my actual sentence so I had to worry about what I was going to get in court for my actual sentence. I had to prepare myself that it could have been up to 7 years for the offence I was charged. I had to hear from other offenders who had been sent down for similar and In jail everyone is a professional when it comes to ‘what you might get’ sentence wise !! I started to prepare myself that if I got up to 2 yrs , possibly 3 id cope somehow. If I got more id end my life in jail.
Cut to court. I received a community sentence of a tag and curfew and probation and victim surcharge for my crime. I remember driving to court on my sentencing date in the prison van doing all these weird obsessive things which meant good luck to me. so for example , if I looked at the sun rising once I had to do it 4 times then not again, if I caught sight of it again...the pattern repeated itself. If I itched my nose once I had to do it 4 times, when I arrived at court and was in the holding cell I had to have an even amount of cups of coffee and visits to the toilet otherwise it was bad luck.  It was emotionally and physically draining. My solicitor came to see me in the holding cell and with my barrister told me I was facing a higher charge than before, of intent , instead of reckless behaviour. My barrister at this point told me I was looking at 7 years. As it turned out the judge wanted to know more about the offence that had preceded mine and the background reasons for my offence and postponed sentencing. my solicitor asked for bail not believing for one min I would get it but the judge awarded it with a curfew and tagging system. I was allowed to leave the court. This was absolutely not what anyone was expecting and I don't think it hit me until my friend was driving me back to his after court. The thing is you don't just leave jail and that's it.... your head stays in jail for a long time even once home. I thought id sleep like an angel but alas this was not the case. I still have occasional nightmares of doors slamming and being locked up even 6 months down the line from leaving jail.
Court date passed and as I stated I received probation.
Then the almost harder part started. Coming to terms with what id gone through. rebuilding bridges, admitting where I had been as I just disappeared and only wrote to a handful of people when inside, I refused to hide it, I shared it along with the mental health issues id always been open and honest about. This blog is only the 2nd time ive voiced everything that happened in jail. once to my best friend , now partner, and on this blog.
I will take this experience like I did the mental health struggles , and share and use in a productive manner. I will take this knowledge and I will share with others to help and support individuals who may need it.
Im not proud of my conviction.
But there were reasons that led up to my breakdown and subsequent offence.
The hardest part....undoubtably the earthquake that shattered a perfect relationship with my children which I'm still rebuilding and repairing and will be for a while.
Am I glad I didn't die in jail. Yes now. Ill use it to educate and support others.

What Is The Role Of Government In A Red Hot Market?
TorontoRealtyBlog
Maybe I’m stuck on this theme as of late, but I feel that after Wednesday’s blog about “the government’s” role in the rental market, and after Monday’s blog about how the government, in Australia, will punish those who advertise homes for sale at list prices below their fair market value, we should continue the conversation for one more day.
I mentioned “gazumping” briefly in Monday’s blog, which is, in my opinion, the absolute worst feature or practice in any market, anywhere on planet earth.
Last year, there were calls among the UK public for the government to “ban” gazumping, and it begs the question: what role, if any, should the government have in the Toronto market?
If you were so inclined, you might make a list of all the things that bother you in the Toronto real estate market.
Your list may or may not include features or practices that are, by all accounts, totally fair in a free market.
It all depends on how “free” you believe the market should be, how much government intervention you would like, and on what the government can and should intervene.
On Monday, just for fun, I showed you how the Australian auction market works, and how it is illegal to advertise a property for sale at a price that is lower than either what the seller will accept, what the seller has already turned down, or what the agent believes fair market value is.
There are pros and cons to this approach.
But with my lead-in to Monday’s post, I talked about how Toronto agents will market their “sale-to-list” statistic as though it’s something to be proud of, so we could then have a discussion about how meaningless the “list price” is in today’s market.
It’s a practice that people absolutely hate, and I don’t blame them.
And while I don’t want to be “that guy” who, whenever somebody makes a point, tries to make a bigger point, I do want to suggest that while our market here in Toronto can be frustrating, it’s nothing compared to what goes on in Jolly ‘Ole England.
Here’s an article about “gazumping,” which is the practice of beating somebody else’s bid, for a firm deal – something we would never think could, ever, ever, ever happen in Toronto.
The article, written ten months ago, suggests that the government is finally going to step in and ban the practice, which wreaks chaos on the British market.
Have a read:
Relief For Home Buyers As The Government May Ban “Gazumping” The Telegraph May 9th, 2016
Gazumping could be banned by the Government, as it has emerged that officials have held private meetings with industry to discuss bringing forward the point at which house sales become legal, in line with Scotland.
The radical move would prevent millions of British housing sales falling through as 18pc, or around 200,000 transactions collapse each year.
A major reason is a plague of buyers outbidding others who have already put down an offer, a practice commonly known as “gazumping”.
It causes frustration and disappointment for buyers who think they have secured their dream home, only to find they lose it overnight to someone with more cash. It also routinely leaves frustrated would-be-buyers paying for bills for surveying and legal fees which can run into thousands of pounds, providing a further kick in the teeth.
Last week policymakers at the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) held a private meeting with senior figures at the National Association of Estate Agents, the Telegraph can disclose, in which it floated plans to put an end to Britain’s gazumping problem.
This came ahead of a “call for evidence” into how the Government could make it quicker and cheaper to buy homes in England and Wales, which BIS will launch in the coming weeks.
The meeting was used in part to discuss the idea of introducing the system which already exists in Scotland and in other countries in Europe, under which property sales are legally binding at the point where an offer is accepted by the buyer.
At present deals made in England and Wales are only binding once the contracts have been exchanged, giving buyers with big deposits ample chance to “gazump”.
While this Scottish-style system could make life much easier for buyers of English homes, experts predicted it would be very unpopular with sellers and could even put them off moving house.
This is because they may have to take on the cost of legal and survey fees currently borne by buyers, which typically exceed £1,000 per sale.
In the Budget in March, the Government signaled plans to solve the problem, saying: “We will publish a call for evidence on how to make the process better value for money and more consumer friendly.
Mark Hayward, managing director at the National Association of Estate Agents, said: “The English system for buying and selling property dates back to the 1920s and has not been updated for nearly 100 years. It is an archaic system which doesn’t allow for modern technology. It needs updating to allow for as much work to be done before the point of offer as possible.”
David Hollingworth, a spokesman at London and Country, a mortgage broker, said: “Bringing more security to the buying process through more upfront information would give welcome clarity to potential buyers while also retaining flexibility. Of course, that will raise the questions of who pays for the upfront costs like surveys and legal fees, and that could put some homeowners off marketing their property altogether.”
  Did you see that statistic?
18%.
That’s 18% of ALL SALES that fall through, as a result of gazumping.
How about this line, which I find almost comical:
“The meeting was used in part to discuss the idea of introducing the system which already exists in Scotland and in other countries in Europe, under which property sales are legally binding at the point where an offer is accepted by the buyer.”
It’s so foreign to us!
It’s like saying, “A group of scientists got together to discuss whether or not eating food and drinking water would help humans live longer.”
Isn’t it insane?
To suggest that property sales should be “legally binding at the point where an offer is accepted?”
I loved the note about how the English system “has not been updated for 100 years” and might be out of date.
Ya think?
It’s like our friends down south, who rely on a set of principles written by men 250 years ago, when a “gun” was a single shot of lead that took a full minute to load into a gun and fire, who believe that this somehow translates into the “right” to own machine guns and keep them in their kitchen.
Then again, British police officers don’t carry guns at all!  Can you believe that?
Topic for another day, I know…
In any event, it’s been almost a year, and nothing has been done by the British government to “ban” gazumping.
So if you think we have it bad here in Toronto, I’d hate to be “that guy,” but this is evidence that it could always be worse.
Now I’m going to be incredibly hypocritical, partly for effect, and partly because I believe in what I’m about to say.   And I’m going to suggest that while I think it’s totally fair for the British government to step in and ban gazumping, because is a flaw in the basic fundamentals of contract law, I don’t think the government of Canada should step in to our real estate market, and change things around just because our market is red-hot.
In the past couple of weeks, both on this blog and in the media, there has been massive talk of rent controls, restrictions or bans on foreign ownership, and taxation of different classes of real estate owners.
So I’ll pose two questions to you guys:
1) Just how “free” do you believe a free market is?  Should the government oversee, or regulate, the Canadian real estate market?
2) If you believe the government’s role is to regulate the market, what would you have them do tomorrow?
The second question is open-ended, but we could come up with a massive list!
In fact, why don’t we?
The possibilities are endless, and if this is an exercise, and if people are frustrated enough, they might come up with outlandish ideas.
Then again, define “outlandish” anyways!
In some countries, it would be outlandish to outbid a buyer of a home who has already accepted the deal!
In other countries, it would be outlandish to suggest that every teacher in an elementary school should not be equipped with a machine gun, you know, to make the school more safe.
See what I mean?
So let me start off with a few ideas:
1) Ban foreign ownership of Canadian real estate.
2) Tax foreign owners at a higher rate – tax at purchase, property tax, disposition tax, capital gains tax.
3) Tax domestic “investors” or owners of multiple properties at higher rate (same options as above).
4) Eliminate or reduce land transfer tax at municipal and/or provincial levels.
5) Establish rent controls on condominiums.
6) Oversee education, licensing, and discipline of Realtors.
7) Control the purchase and sale of real estate (they do it with alcohol – think LCBO or Beer Store!)
8) Eliminate the CMHC.
Do any of these ideas make sense?
Do all of them, in a vacuum?
Or do we simply let the free market be free – so long as there’s no gazumping going on?
