In celebration of the 76th anniversary of the one who gave the world so many wonderful stories and characters (but sadly is no longer among us), I'd like to share this process video of an art I did with love a few years ago, to show my appreciation for every moment of joy and reflection and laughs and cry he provided through the amazing Discworld! :D
GNU Terry Pratchett!

addendum to my ongoing "Reigen is a Discworld witch" agenda: Mogami is very specifically a Discworld witch who went bad

"Professor Rincewind! Professor Rincewind! Some... I think it was a witch but the hat was the wrong color and it looked more like a wizard's hat except that she was a female and we've only ever had the one female that was a wizard and this was definitely not her but then again witches aren't always the same and I don't think there's actually a rule that says it has to be black and anyhow she had a dog but--"
"Calm down. (I can't believe I'm the one saying this.) What ever is the problem?"
"I... I think she stole your Luggage!"
"...Well, it's a nice thought, and a good try, but I'm really not looking to date anyone at this time."
This is a gift I made with love for a dear friend, who is a big fan of the Luggage, a maniac-homicidal item made from sapient pearwood from Discworld! :) 🐢🐘🐘🐘🐘
And the text above is an excellent comment / fanfic I received from Kencolt706 on Reddit and I'm gonna use it! 😁✨

HOLY SHIT this is EPIC!
This is part of my ongoing Discworld jacket embroidery project. Of course Great A'Tuin has to be on there. And of course it has to be the biggest one of them all.
I'm going to put the finished product in my masterpost, but I'm so proud of the thing that I have to put it in an extra post beforehand. Enjoy!

Just goofing off making a tiny zine out of origami paper and the end measurements make me think of Discworld paperbacks (long and narrow), so I goofed off some more

I actually really like this idea and the covers were fun to make.

Not sure how to fill it, but it'll come to me.
I doubt anything will come of this, but if I ever did make a bunch to give out, they'd be free

Note
Hey, I got a whole bunch of Pratchett books in this digital book bundle, and I’m not sure where to start. I remember reading some of the Tiffany Aching books out of order a long time ago (and enjoying them despite my confusion), but where do you think might be the best place to start as an adult?
There are as many answers to this as there are Discworld fans, but for my money:
Small Gods if you want a standalone.
Otherwise, I recommend starting at the beginning of whichever sub-series most grabs you:
Wyrd Sisters if reading the Tiffany books made you want more stories about witches. Big themes about the power of narratives and doing the work that has to be done but that no-one will ever thank you for.
Guards! Guards! for the City Watch. Detective stories where the real crime is always the injustice of society.
Mort if you want to cry about the anthropomorphic personification of Death (you probably won't cry about him in this book. but once you're done you can read Reaper Man. and then you can cry.)
