Mit diesen 10 Tipps genießt Du Ägypten unbeschwert

Hier kommen meine besten 10 Tipps um Ägypten vom ersten bis zum letzten Tag unbeschwert zu genießen.

1. Die richtige Fluggesellschaft wählen

Du solltest bereits bei der Urlaubsplanung und Buchung darauf achten, auf was Du Wert legst. Dem einen ist es völlig egal und reist nach dem Motto: Hauptsache ankommen, der andere legt Wert auf Service und Komfort.

In der Regel gibt es zwei Möglichkeiten nach Ägypten zu fliegen:

Direktflug: Meistens mit Chartergesellschaften und von den großen deutschen Flughäfen direkt nach Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh oder Kairo. Der Sitzabstand ist bei fast allen Charterflügen so gewählt, das möglichst viele Menschen in das Flugzeug passen. Von Komfort ist da meistens keine Rede mehr. Viel zu geringe Sitzabstände, können bereits die Vorfreude trüben, dazu kostenpflichtige Verpflegung zu Mondpreisen.

Linienflug: Meistens mit Zwischenlandung in Istanbul. Hier von mir eine klare Empfehlung mit Turkish Airlines zu fliegen. Meiner Meinung nach Bestes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Der Sitzabstand liegt garantiert um die 80-85cm. (Zum Vergleich: Mit Condor oder LTU bspw. ist man mit 76-78cm unterwegs) Bei Turkish Airlines ist grundsätzlich alles inklusive: Wunschsitzplatz, eine warme Mahlzeit, alkoholische und nichtalkoholische Getränke ohne Limitierung. In den meisten Flotten hat jeder Sitzplatz ein eigenes Board Entertainment System, USB Ladeanschluss, Steckdose. Der Service und der Komfort sind ausgezeichnet.

Am besten bei der Buchung bereits drauf achten, welche Airlines angeboten werden. Meist ist dies unter Flugzeiten vor dem Buchungsabschluss zu finden.

2. Sonnenschutz aus Deutschland mitnehmen und auch benutzen

Sonnenschutz: In Ägypten herrscht ein UV-Sonnenindex, meist ab 10 Uhr, von 7-10. In den Sommermonaten 10+. Das sind extreme Werte die nicht unterschätzt werden sollten. Sonnenschutz mit LSF 30 ist in der ersten Woche unbedingt zu empfehlen. Wer stark blass ist oder empfindliche Haut hat, sollte definitiv zu LSF 50 greifen. Kinder sowieso. In der zweiten Woche (Erwachsene) kann man auf LSF 20 wechseln, wenn man bereits ungerötete Farbe bekommen hat. Ich bevorzuge das transparente Spray von dm, das kann man auch prima in die Haare sprühen und damit die Kopfhaut schützen.

3. Einreise in das Land / Visum / Dokumente

Du kannst entweder mit dem deutschen Reisepass oder dem deutschen Personalausweis einreisen. Beide Dokumente müssen in jedem Fall noch 6 Monate darüber hinaus gültig sein. Wenn Du keinen Reisepass hast und mit dem Personalausweis einreisen möchtest, benötigst Du zwei Passfotos, die du mitbringen musst. In jedem Fall ist ein Visum am Flughafen erforderlich, welches Du vor der Passkontrolle kaufen musst. Hierfür benötigst Du Bargeld. Kartenzahlung ist nicht möglich.

Das Visum kostet 25 US$ - nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Beachte: Ignoriere unbedingt die vielen Schilder, die hochgehalten werden, auf der deine Reisegesellschaft steht. Du findest in gleicher Höhe, rechts ein Häuschen, auf dem Visum/Exchange steht. Dort gehst Du auf direktem Weg hin, vorbei an denen, die dich ansprechen. Diese Leute sind zwar von der Reisegesellschaft, verkaufen Dir das Visum allerdings für das Doppelte. Es sind nur 25US$ zu zahlen. Keinen Cent mehr. An diesem Schalter gibst Du das Einreiseformular ab, welches bei Turkish Airlines vor Landung bereits als Service ausgehändigt wird. Hast Du kein Formular erhalten, bekommst Du es an diesem Häuschen. Ausfüllen, abgeben und Du bekommst das Visum als Aufkleber in den Reisepass oder eine Visumkarte falls Du mit Personalausweis einreist. Damit gehst Du dann direkt zur Passkontrolle und zeigst dein Reisedokument vor.

Danach folgt das Kofferband und eine weitere Sicherheitskontrolle vor der Einreise. EU-Reisende dürfen oft ohne weitere Kontrolle passieren.

4. Mobiles Internet in Ägypten

Verzichte auf ein teures Roamingpaket aus Deutschland. Direkt nach den Gepäckbändern befindet sich ein Orange und ein Vodafone-Stand die auch noch nachts bei der Ankunft geöffnet haben. Der Preis ist dort günstiger als später in der Stadt oder im Hotel. Ich empfehle eine Vodafone SIM Karte. Ich buche immer 20GB, inkl. SIM-Karte zu einem Preis von 18€. Die Jungs am Stand richten auch alles für dich ein, Sie haben jede SIM-Karten-Größe da. Das Freischalten dauert ca. 3 Stunden. Dann kannst Du mit LTE Geschwindigkeit (4G) unbeschwert surfen. Vodafone EG hat eine super Netzabdeckung.

5. Taxi statt Transfer

Wenn Du aus dem Flughafen kommst, stehen wieder Leute von der Reisegesellschaft - die bitte nicht ignorieren ;-). Das sind die Transferfahrer, die dich in klimatisierten Kleinbussen zum Hotel bringen. Bedenke, dass mehrere Hotels angefahren werden. Alternativ kannst Du auch ein Taxi nehmen, dass dich auf direktem Wege und schneller zum Ziel bringen. Ein Taxipreis von maximal 4€ (80 LE) ist hier angemessen. Auf keinen Fall mehr bezahlen, vorher verhandeln und den Preis festlegen.

6. Der erste Tag in Ägypten / Pharaos Fluch

Am ersten Tag solltest Du eine Apotheke aufsuchen. Vor allem, wenn Du zum ersten Mal in Ägypten bist. Dort kaufst Du dir Antinal und Streptoquin. Diese beiden Medikamente helfen Dir, wenn dich Pharaos Fluch erwischt. Das ist ein Bakterium, welches sich vorwiegend im Leitungswasser befindet, aber natürlich auch beim Waschen von Salat, Obst etc. vorhanden ist. Hier helfen keine deutsche Medikamente. Wenn Du das befolgst und es dich erwischt, nimmst Du 2x täglich Antinal und 1x täglich Streptoquin. Die Medikamente helfen sofort. Am nächsten Tag sollte alles wieder OK sein. Nicht jeder erkrankt an diesem Bakterium und bei weiteren Reisen, ist man meistens immun. In jedem Fall sollte man das Medikament auch mit nach Deutschland nehmen, um evtl. bei einem Rückfall darauf zurückgreifen zu können. Die Medikamente kosten max. 1-2 €.

Wenn man schonmal da ist, kann man sich gleich mit Hausapotheken-Medis eindecken. Ibu, Aspirin etc. Die Medikamente sind super und sehr günstig. Ich habe nur gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Man bekommt hier ohne Rezept Medikamente, die in Deutschland verschreibungspflichtig oder nach BTM reguliert sind. Auch bisher habe ich diesbezüglich nur gute Erfahrungen gesammelt. Wichtig gilt nur zu wissen, dass man bei der Rückreise am deutschen Flughäfen in die Zollkontrolle geraten kann (bei mir bisher noch nie passiert), und die Medikamente, die bei uns verschreibungspflichtig sind, konfisziert werden. Eine Strafe erhält man meistens nicht, aber sie sind dann halt weg.

7. Nein sagen lernen

Deutsche empfinden ägyptische Verkäufer meist als aufdringlich. Ein einfaches „Nein“ wird selten so akzeptiert. Deshalb ist es wichtig, sich auf freundliche aber bestimmte Kommunikation einzustellen. Man sollte das den Ägyptern auch nicht übel nehmen und nach einem „Nein, danke!“ einfach weitergehen und die Person ignorieren, sofern man wirklich das Angebotene nicht möchte. Ist man interessiert, aber der Preis ist noch zu hoch, drückt das Weitergehen den Preis oft nochmal.

In fast allen Hotelanlagen besuchen die Verkäufer einen auch am Strand und möchten Zusatzdienste wie Massagen, Wellness und Ausflüge verkaufen. Dies wird von den Hotels auch geduldet, bzw. ist üblich. Auch hier Standhaft bleiben und freundlich, bestimmt „Nein, danke!“ sagen. Anschließend den Verkäufer einfach ignorieren.

8. Auf Bezness achten

Alleinreisende und Single-Frauen, sollten sich vor der Reise mit dem Thema Bezness beschäftigen. Einfach bei Google nach dem Begriff suchen und die empfohlenen Verhaltensweisen beherzigen. Sich als westliche Frau in einen strenggläubigen muslimischen Mann zu verlieben, ist nicht gerade die beste Idee.

9. Sei Freundlich und Respektvoll

Hurghada, Sharm, El Gouna und die anderen Ferien- und Touristenorte gelten allgemein als eher moderat und tolerant gegenüber der westlichen Kultur. Dennoch sollte man nicht vergessen, dass man in einem muslimischen Land zu Gast ist und auf folgende Punkte unbedingt achten:

- Alkohol nur in der Hotelanlage oder in einem der Touristen-Clubs (z.B. Papas Beach Club) konsumieren.

- Frauen sollten sich angemessen kleiden, wenn sie Hurghada besuchen. Hotpants und Spaghettiträger sind super für Mallorca, in Ägypten sollte man jedoch knielange Kleidung tragen und den Oberkörper bedecken. Im Hotel gilt diese Regel für die Restaurants und zu den Mahlzeiten.

- Auf Drogen in jedem Fall verzichten. In Ägypten stehen empfindliche Strafen auf den Erwerb, Konsum und Verkauf von Drogen.

- Möglichst nichts zu tun, was die ägyptische Polizei auf den Plan ruft.

Ägypter, vor allem in den Hotelanlagen, haben ein sehr freundliches Wesen und holen dir gegen ein bisschen Bakschisch die Sterne vom Himmel. Mit Freundlichkeit und Respekt, wirst Du einen tollen Urlaub haben und nette Begegnungen erleben.

10. Wetter und Klima

In Ägypten findest du das ganze Jahr über Sommer. In den „kältesten“ Monaten (Dezember-Februar) betragen die Tagestemperaturen noch 24-28 Grad bei strahlendem Sonnenschein. Ideal um dem kalten Europawetter zu entfliehen. Das Meer kühlt bis April auf 20 Grad ab.

Wer es richtig heiß mag, fliegt in den übrigen Monaten mit 30 Grad aufwärts. Das Meer ist in dieser Zeit angenehm warm bei 25-30 Grad.

Die Monate Juni-September sind trocken- heiß bei 35 Grad aufwärts. Nachts bleibt es um die 28-30 Grad.
