I read minor detail by Adania Shibli last night and christ i cant recommend it enough its horrifying and extremely well written and effective
#Its also very short less than 100 pages in the english translation and it does cover the real rape and death of a Palestinian girl although#Its obviously fictionalized but the details of it are real so trigger warning obviously but it is worth reading i promise#The second half especially really captures the anxiety of life under occupation and yeah again its just very effective#If youre struggling and not sure what you can do to help reading Palestinian authors is something you can and should do both fiction and#Especially non fiction and if youre looking for something minor detail is a good start
