so i got both meme squads

we are going to ignore that i named nightmare 'bush man' We are also going to ignore his hair. These were made long before Heroforge had an actually decent hairstyle for him.

Anyways Them!!

Ichigo (Cross) is an ex-guards-woman, though no one seems to really know where she's from. She's an excellent fighter. She's also an excellent instigator.

Stitches (Error) is now the tallest of the group, because the other two are tiny little halflings/hobbits. She appears mostly harmless, for a wizard, but that's what she wants you to think.

Moon (Nightmare) (...yeah i'm not actually sure why we have the same nickname. it's been ages) is The Trouble. Or, rather, his spear is. It's not exactly your average magic weapon. He tells a different story every time he's asked where he got it from.

Nightmare also keep somewhat-accidentally starting fights. And sometimes it's not entirely his fault. That bitch misgendered and deadnamed him! They started it!!! He just called them an unlovable bitch and they started trying to punch him!!! He bets Radiant (Dream) doesn't have this problem.

Random fun fact about both Moon and Pluto: Their outfits (excluding their weapons) are made entirely from plant-based materials, if not just straight up plants.

Random fun fact about Slash: dragons ain't got titties. reptiles also don't have genitals. the only two reasons for dragonborn in this AU to wear clothes are either "They Just Feel Like It" (nice texture, wanna look pretty, so on) or "The warm-blooded races are so weird about us being naked and we're fucking sick of it so we've taken to wearing kilts when we're outside of our homelands" (aka. social pressure).

there's also Armor, but their scales are generally pretty thick, so.

Pluto's scythe was, if I remember correctly, won in a fight. It's not magical.

I want to say that they also have Pluto's blackberry bush (his source) on a covered cart so they can wander around, but I don't remember and I don't have my notes with me atm.

Beyond that, I don't think there's anything regarding these three that I haven't said already. The main reason we made them was to have a hot dragon lady. and also have them interact with other AUs and be able to have like. healthy relationships with them.

The horror squad is still pretty prone to violence, though. Pluto in particular keeps trying to goad people into fighting him.

...Dryads being almost exclusively female, it's *slightly* understandable that people keep thinking he's a girl.

Dryads almost exclusively being named after their source plant, it's equally understandable that people keep assuming his name is Blackberry.

Neither of these are, however, true for him. And he has a very short temper, especially when it comes to getting misgendered.

the worst part is that he can't even hide his deadname. the second someone finds out what his source place is they know his deadname. does delusion even have this problem?

sorry if I’m bothering you, but I’m back again with a suggestion. I recently started reading Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree (good book if you like slower, “low-stakes” plot and just general good vibes), and since you said you didn’t want Cross and Slash to be the same species, maybe one could be Dragonborn and the other orc/half-orc? Just a thought I had, you don’t need to use it if you don’t want to.

Oh, normal Cross is a halfling in the fantasy AU.

Error’s the half-orc. She’s a wizard! The only edible substance she can conjure is coffee, and she’s keeps Nightmare alive and not-sick by letting him keep his ‘true body’, aka the holly bush he sort of technically lives in, in a pocket dimension that he can access from anywhere.

Nymphs can’t wander too far from their sources, you see. As long as Nightmare sticks close to Error, he’s close to his holly bush.

Anyways Error’s cool. Love her.
