Avery's not supposed to be cool. He's had 2 appointments and said like less than 20 words in the entire story and all of those radiate incompetence. He is a spoiled rich kid but he's not of the frat boy bully variant. Gets humbled very quickly once he has to face the real world outside the comfort of home.
