I love how, not only does Psychonauts justify the convention of having you go through quirky themed levels by having you explore different people's mindscapes, it forgoes the standard "grasslands, desert, ice world fire world" themes in favour of suburban paranoia world, reverse kaiju world, black velvet painting world

#It even justifies you even being able to do platforming by having play as an acrobat #And it didn't even NEED to justify that #The most famous platformer series is about a middle-aged plumber and nobody questions that #It just shows the attention to detail #Psychonauts
