WIPs of Parad teasing Graphite because I've barely seen it done.
#Kamen Rider Ex-Aid#Graphite (Ex Aid)#Parad#Parado#Kamen Rider Ex Aid#Graphite (Kamen Rider)#The first one is from a whole bunch of AU sketches I may never clean up and post#But I was thinking how I had that pic and am drawing Parad teasing Graphite again and felt like throwing them out together#Out of context the first one probably looks like Parad's teasing him about being obsessed with cake#He's actually teasing him about his dragon obsession#Previous panel was Hiiro asking what he was making and Graphite tells him he's making a dragon-shaped cake you see

I know I say this every year… but I can’t believe it’s time for yet another one of these. 0_0 Where did the year go?
I jumped from fandom to fandom like a hyperactive rabbit this year, but I think it’s been good for my creative output in the long run. Still not a lot of backgrounds, but I think I’m getting better at faces and expressions. And look! There’s even a few non-human characters here! 8O I’m just as surprised as you are, tbh.
January – Still riding high on my Gravity Falls kick at this point in time. This is an illustration for a fic I wrote using a coloring and shading technique I discovered last December, where you do the whole thing in greyscale with a couple splashes of color here and there to make it pop. Still pretty happy with this one.
February – More Gravity Falls wish-fulfillment art with my favorite pair of nerds, who didn’t get a moment like this in canon but deserved it, dammit.
March – Some art of a couple old OCs I did for a friend’s birthday. It was good to draw them again. :)
April – Finally some proper Steven Universe fanart (even if it was technically for a crossover, but shh). Pearl is surprisingly fun to draw, especially when you throw pretty ballroom gowns into the mix.
May – I played Undertale in April, and like most people who played it, I absolutely fell in love with it. I was too intimidated to draw fanart at first, since I’m not that confident when drawing non-humans, but then I read the fic “Flowey is not a Good Life Coach,” which ripped out my heart, stomped on it, set it on fire, and scattered the ashes. After drawing parallels between the fic and a certain other series that had been on the brain for awhile I had to at least try to do some fanart for it. I’m still angry about how fun Flowey is to draw. (I uploaded this in the dead of night on May 31st, so the timestamp is June on tumblr, but May on DA, and I go by DA reckonings for these art summaries.)
June – Overwatch was suddenly all over my dash back at the end of May, so I watched the online shorts and read some of the comics, and the rest, as they say, is history. I drew a bunch of characters all at once when the game first gained steam on tumblr, but it took me months to clean each one up and post them. This is the first one I decided to do, since it was the first sketch.
July – The only actual piece of Voltron fanart I’ve done so far, as an accompaniment to a drabble fic I wrote. The greyscale technique makes a triumphant return.
August – More Overwatch fanart. I like how the background turned out, even though it’s pretty simple.
September – Even more greyscale, because I do what I want. Technically, I started drawing Critical Role stuff in August, but I drew basically nothing else for the next 3 months, so that’s what you’ll be seeing for a full fourth of this year.
October – Oh hey, an actual attempt at a background for once! Even after 70+ episodes, I still maintain the time the 3 foot gnome bard took on a house full of armed guards by himself is one of the most hardcore moments of this entire series, and I don’t see enough fanart for it.
November – I’m still astounded that this pic turned out as well as it did. I mean, dude, I never draw animals or anthros or anything but your basic human. The last time I tried something like this was when I was clumsily attempting to draw ninja turtles a decade ago. And then my pencil churns out something like this.
December – I did so much with daemon AUs this year, but that mostly consisted of aesthetic posts, analyses, and fics, so they wouldn’t make it on to a list like this. This is the first real fanart I’ve done for a daemon AU, and the AU doesn’t even belong to me (though I did assist with it in some aspects). Funny how these things work out. And since my first legitimate attempt to draw an animal in years didn’t end in tears, I consider this a win.
