exoticizing
[ID: Four panel "Pills that make you green" comic. crudely drawn stick figures and all that.
Panel 1: A grayscale reporter is holding a microphone and talking to the camera.
"I'm here today for a rare chance to interview one of the mystical, exotic Hariyaali people. Known for their deep, mystical spirit connection to plantlife, the Hariyaali dye themselves green as a religious practice, acting as a sort of priesthood of nature. The Hariyaali's incomprehensible mysticism is best displayed in their lifestyle, out in the forests."
Panel 2: The grayscale person turns to face a green person (not the usual one, slightly different shade of green). They are holding their hand to their face in exasperation.
Reporter: "But you don's need to hear it from me, because here's our guest: A real Hariyaali! So tell me about yourself."
Green: "You just called me a slur four times in a row and got literally everything about us wrong holy shit."
Panel 3: The green person continues to explain.
Green: "We're a community of regular green people, as well as some turquoise and lime, who are forced to live in the woods in this country. You are uncritically exoticizing stereotypes that marginalize us."
Reporter: "Oh, how tragic."
Panel 4: The reporter takes center stage by shoving the green person aside.
Green: "Hey what the fuck-"
Reporter: "As you can see, even the long, mystical traditions of the Hariyaali are not free from influence from the Western Greener Agenda. Truly a shame.
