Dormammu will appear in season 3 of "What If...?".
Well, time for me to die of anxiety until then and hope that now he has more than 1 second of screen time.

Doctor Strange tries to fight Dormammu and exorcise him out of the human host but he's too strong for the mage. Since Doctor Strange could not defeat Dormammu without killing the human host, he takes a walk and chats with the Dark Dimension lord instead as a distraction. They spent their whole time chatting until they reach Jean Grey who helps Doctor Strange to exorcise Dormammu out of the human host by using the Mysterium the anti-magic stone.

WAIT Taskmaster is taller than Dormammu (185) ?! How??
Wait, so Ghost is 195cm tall? Damn, I always knew Tasky was an American shorty with his measly 189, but having it rubbed in my face like this… 😔

Marvel has such great potential in STRANGE ACADEMY. A live-action or animated adaptation alone could be a huge win, whether it closely follows the comics or not, as long as they give us the diverse, inclusive stories that JK Rowling's Wizarding World fails to.
Strange Academy's diversity is a central feature, not an "exotic" aside. It unites people across various cultures, so you see Norse runic magic, Voodoo practice, Aztec nahual lore & more, performed not just by fictional creatures, but women, people w/ melanin & LGBTQ ppl.
Strange Academy's headmaster is Dr. Jericho Drumm aka Doctor Voodoo & various fan favorites act as instructors to the young mages, to humorous effect: Wong, the Ancient One, Magik, Scarlet Witch, Nico Minoru, Agatha Harkness, Talisman, Daimon Hellstrom, etc
Strange Academy's prominent students INCLUDE:
-Zoe Laveau (zombie/necromancer/aspiring lich? & descendant of Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau)
-Germán (Nahual animal mage)
-Iric & Alvi (Asgardian twin sons of Amora the Enchantress)
-Emily Bright (newcomer on an interesting path)
-Doyle (nbd, just a son of The Dread Dormammu™)
Strange Academy is set here in the United States, not another dimension or some other fictional locale; specifically, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
You get plenty of charismatic flavor & mystic color, whether you're reading about the mortal or mystical aspects of magical school life.
Rather than typical YA-style focus on a singular "chosen one" & companions, Strange Academy offers engaging ensemble narration that addresses multiple story lines w/ due respect, all while managing to offer impressively dynamic & flamboyant magical feats.
In short, if you're a fan of Marvel, a fan of magic users & a fan of YA stories that AREN'T transphobic or otherwise characterized by bigotry (whether implicit or overtly stated), you might want to set aside any...other options, in favor of Strange Academy. 😌

Strange Tales #126
Cover Date: November 1964 On-Sale Date: August 11, 1964
It all changes here! In celebration, Doc reclaims some cover real estate and the blurb even depicts a scene from the story. What changes? Doc meets Dormammu! Up until this moment, Dormammu has simply been one of the funky names Doc calls on to put the whammy on his foes. Also, until now, most of his foes haven't been all that impressive on power level with Nightmare and Loki being the possible exceptions. And Doc doesn't call on either to power up. Dormammu is on whole other level.
Our story continues immediately after Doc's battle with Baron Mordo last issue. We see his astral body returning to his physical body. Now, Mordo's body should be in the house as well, but that never gets addressed. He must have gotten out somehow; we definitely haven't seen the last of him. No sooner than getting up from his comfy, funky chair (sadly, not the one with the dragon head), he's in the grip of a powerful spell, without his consent, that manifests itself as a floppy white and yellow bullseye. There's a nice touch from Ditko. Doc goes in the top of the bullseye and at the spell's terminus, The Ancient One's pad, he comes out the bottom. It even has a funky curl, like it's squeezing him out.
The Ancient One is dressed today in a fine frock. The original coloring is red, but the Masterworks recoloring makes it a vivid fuchsia. Once again I prefer the recoloring. Today's crown has less ostentatious horns that the last story but the detail is more intricate. The Ancient One makes a ghost thing visible to Doc just as it leaves. Doc prepares himself to jump to the old guy's defense, but he's like "Don't worry about it, he's just a messenger of the Dread Dormammu. Oh, by the way, Dormammu is gonna invade our dimension and take over. I just got back from being Mordo's captive and haven't had my old man nap yet. Can you deal with this?"
"Sure thing, daddio! Send me!" And Doc disappears into some whirling and hairy dots. Perhaps this is Ditko's answer to Kirby Crackle. The next thing Doc knows he's somewhere else, floating through a ring of smoke and heading toward a nasty beastie indeed. The smoke ring is a nice call back to the splash page!
The as-yet-unnamed nasty beasty is the G'uranthic Guardian who will show up here and again. I don't know if this is actually a living being or some magical construct that guard's Dormammu's "palace." Doc approaches the nasty beastie who looks down on him and shoots out some light that probes his brain, without his consent. It's a test of some kind that Doc passes and the cool six-sided doors open for him. He steps through, and we get get our first look at how bat-crap crazy Ditko makes this very brightly lit "dark" dimension.
That's right, the other side of this door is floating in nothing and Doc is walking along a floating ribbon all curled up. Nightmare's realm was weird, but this is drug-trippy crazy! What was Ditko on? This imagery continues throughout the story, so get yourself a copy if you want to see it all.
Next, we get our first glimpse of Dormammu. He doesn't quite look like his popular image yet. For one, he's wearing a two-tone green thing with funky shoulder accoutrements and not the purple we're used to seeing him in. His head isn't surrounded by flames, but smoke and his head is blue, instead of red. He only has a hint of eyes. He's also sitting in a funky throne. We will later learn this is the Azure Throne and it is almost never depicted as blue.
Dormammu is like "WTF? Who the hell is this? Where's The Ancient One?" One of the sychophants surrounding Dormammu isn't toadying up enough and dares to question Dormammu's ability to instantly wipe out the mortal and he instantly imprisons them until he doesn't feel like it anymore.
Meanwhile, Doc is facing a series of challenges as he moves toward the big bad. His first challenge is a little yellow creature who feeds on spells. Doc figures this out quickly and feeds him until he pops like a balloon. This is being watched by a certain silver-haired lady. Yes! We are finally introduced to the as-yet-unnamed Clea. At first he thinks this is The Ancient One returning, but realizes it can't be "for he is young -- and fair to behold!" While Clea's libido gets fired up, Doc is drawn into some object that looks like a flying magic carpet. "Oh well," thinks Clea, "better luck next time."
Doc defeats a bunch more of Dormammu's minion who appear before him. Dormie's not happy. He banishes them to limbo.
Dormammu is like "Enough of this! If you need something done, you just gotta do it yourself. Bring it on, earther!" Clea senses things are coming to a head and decides to shout about it.
The entrance Dormie conjures for Doc is just bizarre. It's like a big sheet of paper with a mini, desaturated bifrost coming out of it. Clea attempts to warn him off, but Doc proceeds to the ominous assignation. Doc finally confronts Dormie at last! "I won't kill you until the Ancient One shows up." Doc replies "Nah! You gotta deal with me." "No really, send in the Ancient One." "Nope. It's gonna be me." "You're funeral, blue dude!"
And we break here until next month. Last month was great, but this is just freaking crazy! Ditko is in top form here. Who knows how many pencils were ground to little nubs to draw these 10 pages? Visually, it's spectacular. Ditko had spent a number of stories with lazy backgrounds, but he must have been saving it up for this story. Dormammu's motivation for invading earth isn't exactly original, but it starts a great story. There isn't really anything in the way of plot holes. It doesn't mess with continuity. And it's the springboard of a new era where the villains are more powerful and the stakes are greater. I can't wait for part two!

CABLE RELOADED - Highlights
So, the dread DORMAMMU has invaded the galaxy/universe, wearing Ego the Living Planet's shell like the skin of a snake. He's conquered five planets of magical significance to perform a ritual to Dark Dimension-ify this one. Super bad news. Fortunately, The Guardians of the Galaxy are on top of it with new recruit Doctor DOOM. Rocket Raccoon and DOOM's plan? Shoot him in the head with a really big gun. Who do we know that knows guns?
He really is adorable.
This motherfucker, who's really just happy to be working with Rocket. He sends Cable to Breakworld and, because of the heavy security, he chooses to drop in from orbit, destroying him arm in the process...
... fortunately, Cable has a backup. He needs even more though, so he plants a Krakoan gate seed and brings in some specialists.
Wiz-Kid IS a rockstar
Not The Five, but the five he needs. Big fan of all of them (except for Groomer Cheney.) Breakworld's inhabitants are not. They're bozos who are justifiably not down with these strange people up in their shit. Then again, they once shot a massive bullet at Earth, so fuck em?
Solid callback to Astonishing X-Men there. DORMAMMU caught everyone with their pants down, so the team was hastily assembled. Team itself is a dirty word on Arakko, and obviously Khora wasn't briefed. Still, it's better than working with Fabian Cortez and she is much better in a fight.
Wiz-Kid's flavour of Technopathy is pretty wild, and I love my disabled brethren. The aliens don't, but it doesn't matter what they think anymore.
They need to make it to the objective, the whole reason they're here, and Nate takes the time to explain on the way there. He does work with Khora again btw, in X-Men Red. It's excellent.
She's so cool. She boosts Boom Boom to make a big ass bomb and Cannonball's job is to dunk it in security's face.
It works. Then Khora boosts Wiz-Kid. Result - REALLY BIG GUN - as mentioned. Mission nearly accomplished. Lila Cheney just needs to teleport them and the RBG back to base. Also, what goes in a really big gun?
If you guessed 'REALLY BIG BULLET' you'd be correct. Engineered by Rocket out of Mysterium (which Dormammu, a magical being, cannot withstand) provided by SWORD. Breakworld would be jealous, Kitty Pryde would almost certainly not. Anyway, BLAM.
Book is excellent, and very readable without knowledge of the greater Last Annihilation event. Definitely recommend.

Ngl, I wasn’t expecting Stephen to show up in an Adam Warlock issue BUT it’s not that ~strange~ since they date back to Infinity Gauntlet and Infinity Watch. I was just surprised, but in a good way!
The team-up with the Thing is also a classic from the Two-in-One old days, which is always nice to see as well!
And lastly... JED MACKAY, YOU YOU YOU YOU!!! *sobs* you're always giving me the best food, how can I ever repay you? 😭😭😭😭
Also Nico and Stephen finally!!! ONE MORE DAUGHTER TO THE LIST LESGOOOOOOO!!
Excellent month. Stephen back to his full force in comics ever since DODS and I couldn’t be happier!

Behold: my child of a fan fiction.
Title: Doctor Strange and the Curse of the Haunted Mansion
Word Count: 22,442
Status: Complete
Pairings: Flirtation between Stephen Strange/Madame Leota
Based on the Haunted Mansion Rides at the Disney Parks but with some creative liberties and interpretations
Warnings: Major Character Death, Mentions of Suicide by Ghost Host (Stretching room scene of the Mansion)
Summary:
“It was originally supposed to be a simple investigation of a mansion located not far outside of New Orleans. The place had been derelict for decades at least and yet the mansion seemed almost pristine.
Wong had stated that there was an unprecedented amount of spiritual energy that seemed to engulf the place. Anyone who entered the building never was never seen again which was rather alarming. The locals knew to steer clear of the place but every so often teens would dare each other to enter, or more recently amateur supernatural vloggers.
Now Stephen stood outside the rather imposing building and felt a wave of dread. Which was honestly a bit ridiculous as he had faced the likes of Dormammu and Thanos. This was just a house.
And yet…”
Stephen Strange goes to rescue a mansion and the residents inside from an evil curse however he finds a lot more than he bargains for. With only till sunrise to solve the mystery and make it out alive, can Stephen break the spell?
Written for Strange Tales of Halloween 2022 Prompt month. Updated with finale for the cliffhanger in 2023.

"You are not an aberration, Clea Strange. You are a miracle." 🥹🥹🥹
BUT CLEA, DON'T IGNORE DOYLE! He's not a curse. Poor boy has already been through so much and has Dormammu as a father, he could use a loving cousin.
The sweetest and deadliest family!
And the Faltine family drama continues. They're so unhinged, I love it. I really hope Dormammu gets to meet Donna soon.
Umar is more of a mother to Donna than she ever was with Clea, which isn't saying much. The bar is on the ground with her.
Well, Umar did murder Stephen. "Dreadful" is a kind term.
