Is there a better feeling as a DM than finishing a session and then seeing all your players immediately go to a discord server you happen to all be in and start gushing about how much they enjoyed the session? Because I'm pretty sure there's not.

#God playing with a bunch of fanfiction nerds is so great #their characters are all so incredibly fun and well realized #it makes it SO easy to fit the encounters and consequences into them in such a perfect way #Oh your characters are being Sleeping Gas trap'd and the last person standing is the Alchemist?#The Alchemist whose background is full of trauma around Survival at All Costs #and has a weird Witch Patron Archetype with Wind and Air magic?#So they smash together a counteragent to the airborne poison as their familiar whispers secrets in their ear #and as they go to deploy it the wind in the room picks up unnaturally and carries her Desperate Will to Survive into the rest of the room #The book just had a Poison dc20 I got to improvise the rest of that because #my players give me such incredibly fun and Complete characters and motivations to work with
