gasp! i saw u mention queen & anakin & obiwan in another ask - as someone who's been on a bit of a star wars binge lately, do u by chance have any fic recs 🥹 i have only the utmost faith in ur taste so id be delighted with anything!!

This might be worth you DM-ing me, since I do have a few more recs but those come with caveats. Star Wars is a rough fandom for me.

That being said, in alphabetic order, these works are all amazing and I love them wholeheartedly:

All and Only, canon compliant oneshot. Anakin contemplates Obi-Wan.

From Whence She Came, canon compliant oneshot. A young Leia contemplates her mother.

Seed, multi-chapter canon divergent. I expect you may lose some faith in my taste when you see the summary but goddamnit it's one of the best in the fandom. Anakin gets a virus, and the antidote is dick. The character insights are top notch and the plot delights me in that it cleverly makes perfect sense, in the most humiliating way possible for Anakin and Obi-Wan.

When the Abyss Stares Back, multi-chapter canon divergent. Anakin and Obi-Wan are having a normal one when Suitless!Vader and Obi-Wan from an alternate universe pop into their universe, and they're smashing. One of my all-time fandom favorites for the character insights and how hilariously uncomfortable things get.

Sometimes I just sit staring at a wall and remember Jackson Rathbone and Rami Malek where in an episode of The War At Home where they have a date with each other. Very early career (you can find this on YouTube) and then they were both in Twilight and now Jackson Rathbone is very recognisable and Rami Malek is Freddie Mercury and I just feel so proud of them both.

Fun fact: Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale) and Rami Malek (Benjamin (avatar vampire from bd pt2)) were actually in a sitcom together in the 2000s called the War at Home. Rami Malek played the character Kenny and Jackson Rathbone played Kenny’s boyfriend Dylan!

This is fascinating: "a recent CNN piece pegged 2.8 million people as having some kind of access to classified information, with nearly 1.2 million of those having top-secret clearances."

Data point: I had top security clearance for a summer, when I was an intern at the State Department. I read hundreds of TOP SECRET documents, 99 percent of which were banal af. But I had a higher clearance than career govt bureaucrats I knew.
