Baroness Agadart ver Kleelan of Kaaltendt escapes certain execution by way of working with Queen Theaedra's operatives to take down her own traitorous husband. Exiled to serve anonymously in the much-maligned Dragon Maids Auxilary Corps, Agadart is sent to apprentice herself at the remote Fort Endestern, the farthest aerie in the land of Kaaltendt which sits on a rocky cliff on the easternmost shores of the continent. It is also where the foreign-born dragon Duke Rodgardae Leonteinparre, on loan from his country the Isle of Watt as part of a complicated political and military agreement with Kaaltendt, has been newly stationed as the Fort Master of Endestern. His mate and guardian, Mani Roki, is also a stranger in a strange land. As Emperor Rhezv of the distant but massive country of Iskaryyva rattles his sabre, threatening both the Isle of Watt and Kaaltendt with his crazed quest for world domination, Agadart finds herself in a complicated dance with two men who see something more in her than she ever expected might exist. Can their blossoming love survive a cataclysmic war? Can Agadart escape the Dragon Maids Corps to find happiness? And where is the long lamented, missing Queen Dragon of Watt?

When she had first proposed to be a spy against her husband, she had meant it in exchange for the lives of her parents. Her mother had died unexpectedly from an illness not long after, and sometimes Agadart wondered about that; her mother had grown to dislike Agadart’s husband, and had just enough clout with Queen Theaedra to cause him trouble. But whatever the case might be, it left her father in a precarious position.

The Queens Who Never Were 〚12 / 17〛

╰┈➤ ❝ Rhaegel’s son, Aelor, then became the new Prince of Dragonstone and heir to the throne, only to die two years after, slain in a grotesque mishap by the hand of his own twin sister and wife, Aelora, under circumstances that left her mad with grief. ❞

Born to Prince Rhaegal Targaryen and Lady Alys Arryn, Aelora was one of twins; her brother being Aelor. Unlike most of the contemporary generation of Targaryens, they were wed in the custom of Old Valyria, potentially because of Rhaegal's own mental instability or in an attempt to strengthen their claim as branches of the family tree began to be cut down by disease and disaster.

Upon Aerys I's accession to the throne, their father was named Prince of Dragonstone. Dying soon after, Aelor inherited the title, since his uncle remained childless. However, he too died in a 'grotesque mishap' at the hands of Aelora, who subsequently went 'mad with grief'. Nothing further is known about the circumstances; the only hint being that Aerys I deemed it suitable to name Aelora his heir in lieu of their many surviving male relatives.

Attending a ball at Summerhall, likely hosted by her uncle Prince Maekar, Aelora was 'attacked' by three men, the pig, the rat and the hawk. She took her own life soon after.

It is worth noting that there are many strange 'coincidences' and questions surrounding Aelora's fate. First being that Summerhall was Maekar's seat, and he became heir after she passed; second that the three men who attacked her, or at least men using their monikers, would lead a small folk revolt thirty years later. Third being that she, her brother and her father all died by accident or attack, but there seem to be no prevalent rumours of the cause.

Aelora is the only woman in the dynasty to have been a child of the Prince of Dragonstone, wife of the Prince of Dragonstone, and herself the Princess of Dragonstone by her own right.

Aerys and the Gang’s Halloween costume Headcanon

Premise: Aerys, Tywin and Steffon are going as "Marry, Kiss or Kill"; the rest of their families are dressed in themes coordinating with their respective husband/father; the year is circa 263 AC, so Robert and Rhaegar exist but any other children don’t yet (this last bit was @sasha-naell’s idea)

Aerys: Is "Kill", but takes it more in a Death/Reaper of Souls direction

Tywin: "Marry", he basically got out his wedding tux and called it a day, Aerys and Steff get mad at him for not putting in more effort but they have to admit there isn’t much else he could’ve done

Steffon: "Kiss"; he’s in all red with lipstick kisses all over his neck and face (most of them have been put there by Cassana, some haven’t)

Rhaella: Comes as a widow since Aerys is "Kill", maybe wishful thinking on her part

Rhaegar: Is dressed as a mortician, I can see him requesting that even if Aerys wasn’t "kill"

Joanna: Uses her wedding dress to be the Corpse Bride since Tywin’s "Marry"

Cassana: Uses Steffon being kiss to make the family theme "Love" and she is Aphrodite (actually Steffon’s idea) and Baby Robert is Eros

The two were forced to marry each other by their parents, Prince Jaehaerys and Princess Shaera. This was because according to a prophecy made by a woods witch, the Prince that was promised would be born from their bloodline. Rhaella actually was already in love with a knight named Bonifer Hasty, but the young girl soon realized that could only be a dream, both because of obligations as well as their difference in status. As expected, there was no affection between the siblings at their wedding. From their union Prince Rhaegar, Prince Viserys and Princess Daenerys will be born.
