Voyager's Krenim and Prodigy's Loom have something in common - when they attack you, you don't just die, you're erased from history. You never existed, you're not mourned by anyone because you never existed and reality has reshaped itself around you never having been a part of it. That is one awesome concept, I love it.
But...
How does it work? Say Janeway got zapped by the Annorax's big temporal weapon, or gored by one of the Loom. She never existed, right? Think about it: How far back exactly does that go? The moment of conception? Or further back, annihilating Daddy Janeway's sperm and/or Mommy Janeway's ova? And at which point does it destroy them? Does it merely stop them coming into existence, and if so, how? Or does it off her entire family line, and if so, how many generations?

Even though it wasn’t confirmed, I’d like to think that once the timeline was restored at the end of season two of Prodigy, everyone erased by the Loom returned.

I really wonder about the wider implications of the Loom erasing people from existence.
Like, what if someone they erased had a child? Since the child would never have existed without their biological parent, would they immediately disappear too? Or would they just become the Loom’s next target?
What if they erased a person who had saved someone else’s life? Would time rewrite itself so that the person whose life was saved would have died then instead? Would something like that create an alternate timeline?
This kind of thing is why I’m pretty convinced that when the prime timeline is restored at the end of Prodigy season 2, all the people erased by the Loom came back, because them having been erased would have just made more holes in the timeline and furthered its collapse.

Note
Do you still have the 18th century loom?
its actually my mums! and its not the only loom that she owns either!
she is also the president of her chapter of the guild of spinners, weavers and dyers in her area, so all the clout here really deserves to go to her. i have tried out some weaving, and she has friends with looms that're even older than the ones shes got that i've seen too!

Loki Season 2 Episode 4
Kind of a slow start to the episode, but wow what a finish! And I’ve got an idea of where it could go
So, obviously, from the trailers, Loki has a line, “Let’s try this one more time” or something like that. So I’m thinking it’s very likely that the next episode is going to entirely be, or at least start with, a time loop. Like, they’re going to piece together that the Loom exploded and time restarted but that means the Loom will explode again, so they have to keep trying to fix it.
But what I’m hoping for, is that by the end of the episode, they realize that the solution is not to fix the Loom, but to simply remove the Loom entirely.
Look. Time existed before He Who Remains (oh excuse me, before HWR and Ravonna) came along and created the TVA and the Loom presumably. And it did just fine without a Loom. So it follows that time will be fine again if there is no Loom. Probably better off
I dunno that’s what I’m hoping for

Obviously the key reason to get into weaving is the near limitless pride flag potential.
This is 8 metres of trans warp threaded for 5 different twills. Winding the warp went SO MUCH BETTER than my first project a couple weeks ago and I am especially proud of how smoothly my warp chains unravelled.
With the trans yarns I also ordered sample cards for a couple different yarn companies so that I can compose some rainbow flag variants.

What if there were more main characters than we ever met in Star Trek but the Loom got them, so none of us remembers they ever existed?

Lucanis, trying to sneak out after spending the night with Rook:
Viago, twirling a vial of poison: What are you doing here?
Lucanis: …I could ask you the same question.
Viago: I live here. This is my house.
Lucanis: I should probably ask you a different question.

It always amazes me when people say kids cartoons don’t have dark themes because frankly I think the concept of being erased from history to such a degree that nobody anywhere at any time ever will remember your existence is FAR more scary and horrifying than seeing a lot of blood and gore.
