Furthermore, 129.2 million girls around the world are denied education due to gender discrimination and financial problems. Charities around the world work tirelessly to ensure that all children have equal access to quality education so they can improve their lives.

Unfortunately, in our world this is often not true for many groups of poor people. Education is collapsing as groups of people struggle to find food, shelter and medical care. Changing the social infrastructure is a huge undertaking that requires manpower, money, and agreements between opposite ends of the political spectrum.

Fortunately, we don't have to wait until things are figured out to make a difference. Right now there are hundreds of opportunities that have arisen from non-profit organizations whose mission is to reach out to those less fortunate. Roll up your sleeves and be part of the change this world needs.

Rajasthan has one of the lowest literacy rates in the country at 67.1% and the lowest female literacy rate at 52%. The Jawahar Foundation aims to bridge the education gap by focusing on transforming the education landscape.

We have established 10 computer literacy centers in Ajmer to provide education and try to change the attitude towards education in Rajasthan. With more than 1020 students enrolled in the programme, it is expected that one day the expansions of the project will spread to all of Ajmer and Bhilwara.
