The moment of "Truth" has arrived. Well before the premiere of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, showrunner Malcolm Spellman teased the show's fifth episode as one that fans should be most excited about. Part 5 finally aired on Friday and the guy kept the hype.

Zemo visits the Sokovia Monument. Better late than never, Bucky visits him. Zemo tests the Winter Soldier's courage, hitting and prodding that metal arm and pushing him to do what he does best.

According to Zemo, Karli has been radicalized beyond salvation. Her only solution is to kill her. He still believes that Sam was a fool to think he could have convinced her to get off the ledge. I disagree, and so it seems, Bucky.

Whatever James has been struggling with throughout the series hasn't gone away, but he has a solid understanding. He raises a gun to Zemo's head, but when he pulls the trigger, the gun is empty. Zemo understands the meaning and offers Bucky one last hope: He has crossed his name off the list in Bucky's book. Zemo gave Bucky his forgiveness, for whatever it's worth.

All things considered, Zemo is quite calm when the Dora Milaje takes him away. He will spend the rest of his days on the raft (remember that place?). It's not an ideal vacation spot, but part of me is glad I haven't seen the end of Zemo yet. His complicated history with Sam and Bucky could be an interesting point to revisit in the future.

As for Bucky, he was warned to get away from Wakanda for a while. After all, he released the man responsible for King T’Chaka's death. Ayo once again calls him the white wolf, and he hits home harder than he ever has before. He always believed that the Winter Soldier had been defeated, to be replaced with this new character. Maybe now he will believe it too. It's a fresh start for Bucky and I'm excited to see where he will take it.

And regardless of his current poor position with Wakanda, he is able to ask for another favor.

At the beginning of the episode, Sam approaches Walker and asks him to hand over the shield. Whatever John is feeling right now - from the death of his friend, the adrenaline from killing someone, the fear of making the wrong call - flies out the window when he hears those words. He now he has to defend himself.

My favorite part of this fight is that it is realistic. As experienced as Sam is, he can't realistically tiptoe with a super soldier alone. Bucky pulls most of the weight here, but Falcon is creative. He always uses his suit to get the upper hand.

Sam goes down a lot, but keeps getting up (Steve would be proud). But there is a point where Walker stuck it and it doesn't look good. "I'm Captain America," Walker growls, just before snatching Sam's wings.

The picture isn't subtle, but the weight of what's happening becomes clearer at the end of the episode. At this time, however, the bird was grounded. He was stripped of his identity as him. It's not just that his dress is broken; it's the fact that Captain America did it to him.

Fortunately, Bucky is there to save his life. There is no doubt in my mind that Walker would have given Sam the same end as the super soldier in the plaza outside, but together, the Falcon and the Winter Soldier take the shield from Walker and take it down one last time.

The shield looks good on Bucky. But as strained as their relationship has been in the past, Bucky believes Steve made the right choice when he offered Sam the shield. He throws it at her and walks away.

Sam wipes the blood off the metal. He reluctantly inherited a bloody America. Even later, when he and Torres talk about the wings, Sam says to keep them. He doesn't necessarily want the shield, but what other choice does he have? He won't let Walker have it again.

Neither is the government.

Walker now has "other than honorable" leave in his name. He is no longer a representative of the United States or its military; he's not Captain America; he does not hold any rank and will not receive any benefit.

This is not good with Walker. "You built me," he shouts, and he's not wrong. I don't have much sympathy for Walker - he is an arrogant fool who felt entitled to an inheritance he would never understand - but it is true that the government created it. They will be responsible for everything that comes next.

Whatever it is, Countess Valentina Allegra de Fontaine will be present. (How will Walker's wife do? Did we know he was married? They really buried the protagonist in that. He didn't play any significant role in his story from the start.) Julia Louis-Dreyfus plays the role perfectly, leaving Walker with a free hand and the knowledge that shield ownership is a legal gray area.
