We have to do something called an ‘A-Pose’ at the end of motion capture. What that does is it allows the sensors and stuff to be aligned. Uh, there is not a single time where she does not make a weird face, where she does not… it’s just like constant weirdness. So, 10/10, would work with Cara again. Absolutely.

Anyone else playing The Expanse: A Telltale Series? Spoilers for episode 3 after the cut. Seriously. Spoilery. Like straight away.

Son of a beeswax, I killed off Maya! I didn't do a great job of finding the optional (or so I thought) items for some of the crew members - couldn't find the cigar or the medication - but I was nice to the twins! I knew someone was going to screw me over for the MK Core (honestly thought it might have been Maya when we had that disagreement, but no). I'll stay with my playthrough for now and leave her spaced, but maaaannnnnn. I thought that characters had good chemistry and an interesting relationship, I'd have liked it to carry on a bit longer, especially as episode 3 was quite short in terms of playtime.

An aspect of Drummer that was briefly explored in the show, during a later season, was her romantic side. Drummer is queer and it’s hinted in the first episode of the game that she may develop something with a member of her crew who happens to be Martian. While players may well want to explore this relationship in the game, the developers also warn that personal feelings will have to be balanced against the greater good for your crew. Gee says that players will experience “arousal” when playing Telltale’s The Expanse, but she says this slyly with a wary sideways look from Frost, in an amusing moment during our interview, perhaps knowingly teasing the audience. “There are certainly moments where that could happen!” Frost says, as Gee laughs. “Attachments to these crew members is really imperative for us, they go through different things, and like anybody they have a show that they put up, or a wall, as you get to know them more you’re gonna find things out about these people and empathize with them,” Frost says, bringing the conversation back to something more grounded. “There’ll be funny moments, really sad moments, moments that feel like triumph, as you overcome challenges, so a range of emotions is frankly what we want players to feel. And arousal!”  “Yeah, most importantly, arousal,” Gee quips, in response.
