Let’s make something clear guys… yes homelander tries to be a good dad and obviously he’s terrible at it- but that’s because he was CLEARLY made to be a girl dad. That sass. That glorious lifestyle and moviestar daily he wants to give Ryan is because it’s in his genetics to raise a girl. He would buy all of Sephora and even Ulta just so she could do some going out makeup. She wants to do a fashion show? He does too and they both strut their stuff while blasting Ariana grande and forcing Ashley to be the paparazzi. Don’t even get me started on the GOSSIP sessions they would have. “Hey how was school?” “This clique was getting on my nerves- they dissed my outfit” “did you tell them that Jason was cheating on her and that her skanky plaid skirt was out of fashion five months ago?”. And he’s got all his resources from vought shoots so it’s not a problem- he knows everything he needs to-“Dad I want to dye my hair” “I’ll take you to my stylist- do you want color? A perm? Chemical straighter? All the above?-“ - it’s the only explanation.

This might be a bit out of pocket but I’ve been seeing a lot of people posting about The Boys and how they love Homelander so much. They talk about how “he can do no wrong” and “they can excuse his actions” and this is just insane to me.

Like isn’t the whole point of the show to kinda let us see the realness behind if we had real heroes and even ones that were corrupt?? And people saying that they can excuse what Homelander’s done bc “they love him too much” and he’s just a “little guy” is exactly what the people in the show do.

AND THE FACT THAT THE VIEWERS KNOW EVERYTHING ELSE HORRIBLE HES DONE THAT THE HOMELANDER SUPPORTERS ON THE SHOW DONT LIKE WHAT??

This literally shows that The Boys is correct and that Homelander would still have adamant believers even if they know all about him and what he’s done. Seems a bit crazy to me..

I know conservatives are media illiterate but how does the boys have such a massive alt right following when, aside from other things I could list forever, the second season literally ends with 3 feminist superheroines, one of whom is a person of color, beating the ever loving fuck out of a nazi, a fight in which one of them literally says “die you nazi bitch”, as they curb stomp her to a pulp? I’m so fucking sick of conservatives taking shows and movies that are objectively leftist and progressive and good, and tarnishing them by being so fucking stupid that every single core message flies over their flat fucking skulls like wind over a bald peak. The Boys is a show about blackmail. It’s just a bunch of characters with blackmail on each other passing it around in a circle going “you do that… and I’ll release this *insert horrific war crimes*.” Like it’s 99% of the plot.
