I was so confused on the coloring in Dr. Stone until I saw a post that it wasn’t mean to be accurate.

The variation solely in Senku’s hair is INSANE it goes from light green to dark green, white to light green, white to dark green, in some it’s almost all white, in others the white is nonexistent

In some, the tips look fucking blue?? In some, the entirety of his hair looks blueish?? Sometimes the tips are so dark it’s almost black?? Sometimes the roots are so yellow it hurts

Kohaku’s eyes range from dark blue to emerald green

Xeno’s hair color goes from pure white to purple-ish white to BLOND

Senku’s eyes too - reddish brown to pure brown and a few pure red

The coloring on the Ishigami Villagers outfits goes from blue to brown to red and all over again (and I’m not just talking about the seasonal changes)

Gen’s hair goes from white and black to blonde and brown and Tsukasa’s goes from Blue-Black to full on brown

Stanley’s eyes go from purple to yellow?? His hair also goes from white to blonde?

Even just parts of clothing, like the inside of Senku’s shirt being blue??

Don’t even get me started on adult Kohaku being in two different places on the front and back cover of volume 19 istg (also, Senku’s outfit fades to red in this one where it never did before??)

Senku’s also on every spine except two (Volumes 3 and 6, which have Kohaku and Byakuya respectively)

Some of the outfit ones I could leave up to multiple pairs of clothes, and for a few you can even make hair color excuses as it grows out and changes, but what the fuck is up with the eyes

I have never seen a manga so inconsistent and I love it

Loosely based on @sausagepastry 's lighthouse keeper/merman au

Once the boat was beached on the rocks, Niki scrambled out and pulled it closer so that it wouldn’t get washed away. Kohaku should have been keeping an eye on him and would be down to help in a moment, but Niki was still baffled by the uh, tail, and now that he wasn’t distracted by the rocking of the boat, the fact that there were gills and fins on the merman in front of him. 

“Hey! Wake up!” He tried shouting and shaking the merman. It had grabbed onto the boat out in the water and looked like it was breathing as much as Niki could tell. How something that may or may not have both gills and air breathing lungs would be able to show he was breathing, Niki wasn’t entirely sure, nor was he sure he wanted to know that answer. 

“Niki-han, did you find anythi--oh what is…” Kohaku came to a stop next to Niki, looking at the merman. “Please tell me I’m seein’ things.” 

“I don’t think so, Kohaku-chan. He won’t wake up but I don’t want to leave him in the storm either.” Niki shook the merman’s shoulder again, gently slapping its face to no avail. He pressed a finger to its neck to search for a pulse but he didn’t even know if that would yield any results. There was a faint throbbing though, something like a heartbeat. Could they stay out of water? If only the damn thing were awake and could answer their questions. 

Another lightning strike jolted them back to reality. “Kohaku-chan, start running the bath and get the stove heated. I’ll try and get him in the house.” Kohaku nodded and ran back inside, while Niki contemplated the best way to get the merman back. There was a wheelbarrow somewhere that would probably work well enough to get him up to the door but trying to wheel it up the steps even when it was empty was a challenge. His stomach growled and Niki decided to just grab it and maybe he would just dump it through the door and he and Kohaku could carry it to the bathroom. Yeah, that would work well enough.

Really need the Dr. Stone extras to stop pitching the idea of Senku and Kohaku getting together. Kohaku is a lesbian in my eyes and Senku is… Senku. I get the idea but man… at best their romantic relationship plays off to me as “marriage of convenience”. They’re good friends. I get that the foundations were set with Kohaku saying “I could see myself falling for you” but man… idk, everytime Kohaku mentions them together i take it in a playful way rather than a serious propositions because I genuinely struggle to see them together romantically 😭 like I get the vision but I don’t understand it

One thing about Eichi and Tomiya I think is really interesting to think about is how they don't really like each other because Eichi is jealous and petty and to Tomoya Eichi is just some rich guy who started having a problem with him for seemingly no reason whatsoever BUT! They both really like Hajime so I think in a situation where they both have to work together in Hajimes favour they would be civil towards each other. They'd go back to being arguing cats immediately afterwards but for the time being I think they'd be civil.

i want that to happen So Bad. and we haven't seen hajime's reaction to eichi's blatant antagonizing of tomoya either, it's a need too
