My school had a really weird version of the zero tolerance policy where it was all zero tolerance until a kid in the behavioral special needs class did the bullying, at which point there would be a million fucking excuses as to why that kid shouldn’t receive any sort of punishment and why I (neurodivergent but not in those classes) was a terrible fucking demon child for getting the shit beaten out of me.

#One time when I was a nine year old #A kid in those classes pulled his pants down while on the bus and demanded that I suck his dick #I got yelled at by the admins for telling people what happened with him #He got an award for good behavior about a few weeks later #Thankfully my mom tolerated exactly none of it and told the admins exactly how she felt about the behavior they were making excuses for #And this isn’t the only time I got bullied by those special needs kids #All of them wanted my head because I happened to be on a bus with two or three of them #I got beat up on the way to the bathroom by a kid I had never met in my fucking life. I had a black eye.#Obviously ableism is bad but if you don’t teach children accountability you create monsters #No excuses should be made for that kind of behavior. Not even for kids with issues.#And you just know that the parents fucking SANG about how “My kid would NEVER!” and “He’s disabled! You can’t punish him!”#Being troubled or disabled is a reason. Not an excuse. Teach your little womb shits to behave.#Also at one point they tried to do restorative justice and made a teenager who bullied me (I was 11 and half her size) write me a card #She went back to bullying me immediately after. This is how I know restorative justice is mostly bullshit and it’s a stupid idea
