Eleanor's Story Part 2.
After staying in Solitude for a month,Eleanor had finally gotten work as a Maid at the Blue Palace. It wasn't the easiest work but the pay was good and it meant she could keep an ear out for any interesting news. Jarl Elisif was indeed fair,but not just in beauty. She was kind and just,and wanted to do right by Solitude and her people,all while in deep mourning. 
The Steward was kind but often preoccupied,Falk always carrying the brunt of the work it took to keep the Court balanced. Though it was obvious him and Thane Bryling were in love with eachother.
The court mage scared Eleanor,anyone who had even the most basic knowledge on vampires would know that the woman was one. Eleanor made sure to keep out of her way.
The worst member of the Court was Erikur,the other Thane of Solitude. He was horrendous. Slimy and perverted bastard.Eleanor knew to keep away from him,as he may try to do more than cop a feel.
His Mage was alright,as the elf often ignored her exsistance,except when he wanted wine or needed a message brought to Erikur.
The other maids Una and Erdi were helpful,though Una was often in a sour mood. Luckily both women liked the fact that Eleanor never spoke. Erdi got to talk her Ear off,and Una was happy to have someone who seemed to listen to her demands,and all 3 women looked out for eachother. 
Eleanor was really starting to feel at home here. That was until a Thalmor Agent reminded her not to get too comfy. The mer was tall with beautiful green eyes and white hair,a scar above his right brow,cloaked in standard Thalmor Robes. His name was Erril,and he was there to become an advisor for the young widowed Jarl,sent by the Emperor and Elenwen to help her in finding an advantageous marriage for her people. Or at least that is what the letter he brought with him stated. The jarl couldn't send him away but it was obvious she was displeased. Still she tasked Eleanor with the task to take him to the spare room at the end of the hall and help him get settled in.
Erril followed her to the small but grand room and seemed displeased with the accommodations. “Typical nords,giving such awful acomodations to their betters”He sneered. Eleanor remained silent,head bowed and looking at the floor,waiting for permission to leave,hoping the Mer didn't recognize her from when she was child. He had been the one who had captured her father for his execution After all. “Hmmph…a silent maid. Can you not speak?”The Mer asked,voice annoyed but with a twist of curiosity. 
Eleanor simply shook her head no. It was a lie of course. She could talk,but due to the horrors of her life,she could only do so when her mind would allow. Plus she didn't want to speak to this monster anyway.
“Well I suppose a silent servant is better than a chatty one. You may go,I will call you in an hour to make me a bath.”he said,waving his hand as if to shoo her. 
She simply curtsied and left quickly,returning to her chores.
‘'that bastard has no clue who I am. As much as I want to claw his eyes out,I need to be smart about this. If he realizes who I am,he could tell Elenwen,and have me sent back to The Imperial City to marry that disgusting traitor of a nobleman,Cyril.'She thought with a shudder.
