How to convert jpg to pdf Online and Why?
Tumblr media
I believe the majority of people already know that Portable Document Format (PDF), is a file format that makes it easier for users to repurpose digital images. While JPEG is best suited for image formatting, the format has some limitations. Typically, it is not the right format for small images and repeatedly edited images. The case is the same with textual data and compressed images. Transparency within images has been a long-standing issue within the JPEG format. Another disadvantage is the elimination of extra pixels during compression that might be useful for a fading-out effect. When image quality is a priority, you cannot rely on JPEG. Rather, you need a more versatile and integral format. A PDF format can eliminate all the disadvantages of JPEG. Therefore, convert jpg to pdf has advantages. But how do you know which free JPEG to PDF online converter is the best?
PDF is way ahead of JPG with its array of advantages, such as storing images in fewer bytes on the hard drive and better print quality. Additionally, PDF is a high-quality format for the display and printing of documents. So you need a premium JPG to PDF converter that has an edge over competitors in terms of text extraction, translation, structure, and formatting of the final document. I have reviewed the most popular JPG to PDF converters and here is the top 3:
PDF Online. Converting JPG to PDF with PDF Online is as easy as clicking on the upload button and selecting the image file for conversion. The tried -and -tested tool is the most convenient and reliable JPEG to PDF converter, which is easy to use and absolutely free of charge. The free service is the best tool to create PDF online and convert files into PDF in an instant, without any restrictions on size.
ILovePDF. Convert your JPG file to PDF with ILovePDF in a hassle-free manner. With the tool, you can upload JPG from your computer, Dropbox, or Google Drive for conversion to a PDF format. JPG2PDF. Combine multiple JPG files into one PDF file, with no limit on file size. The tool requires no registration, converting the file format quickly. JPG2PDF optimizes and scales down images without any changes in the original resolution. There is an option to convert multiple files into a single PDF or vice versa. PDF Online is immensely useful in the development of multi-threaded PDF creation apps. The PDF SDK is extremely easy to use for someone with a non-technical background, so users can easily produce high-quality PDFs within a variety of languages, including ASP.NET, Java, Visual Basic, PHP, C#, and C++.
Users can effortlessly convert jpg to pdf SDK without having to read any application programming interface (API) documents. Its high-quality PDF libraries give users the choice to perform multiple operations with PDF documents. Software developers find PDF SDK highly effective in developing powerful Portable Document Format solutions. If you seek to improve the translation quality of PDF products, you must get your hands on the best JPG to PDF SDK converter. Mockwebserver enqueue

Mockwebserver enqueue android#
Mockwebserver enqueue code#
You can rate examples to help us improve the quality of examples. new MockWebServer() // Schedule some responses. These are the top rated real world Java examples of okhttp3.OkHttpClient extracted from open source projects. This is a part of the service class making the HTTP calls via a .function.client. Use MockWebServer the same way that you use mocking frameworks like Mockito. SetupĪs always, add the dependencies: 3 okhttp 4.0.1 test 3 mockwebserver 4.0.1 test Here are some of the situations where MockWebServer can be a great help to write tests. I write a function to get the MockResponse automatically. ) The Spring team themselves recommend using this library. MockWebServer: MockResponse You can try to enqueue the responses one by one, but I prefer to use dispatcher.
In your case your OkHttpClient setup would look something like this: val mocks: Map mapOf ( RequestFilter ('/products') to.
Otherwise it doesnt know what to send back. The call to mockWebServer. Second, to get responses from the mock web server, you need to enqueue the expected responses as MockResponse s. The DynamicPropertySource annotated method overwrites the GitHub REST API URL and makes it point to the mockWebServer instance.
Mockwebserver enqueue android#
We also need to enqueue the expected responses as MockResponse. I had a similar problem and I ended up writing a small open source Android library on top of MockWebServer to make this as simple as possible: Mockinizer. The BeforeAll and AfterAll annotated methods start and shut down the MockWebServer that will mock GitHub REST API. The MockWebServer is started in the BeforeAll setup and stopped in the AfterAll and is set to a field so it can be referenced in the TestConfig class and the tests. So we will set up the MockWebServer and in Before and shut down in the After. We can see that Retrofit and ImageApiService are used to create a Fake API service. The MockMvc client can be autowired, and is used to call our endpoint. It’s important to note that even though it is, in fact, a non-blocking client and it belongs to the spring-webflux library, the solution offers support for both synchronous and asynchronous operations, making it suitable also for applications running on a Servlet Stack.Īfter deciding to keep the WebClient, I wanted to add tests for it and found MockWebServer, of course, also at Baeldung. As the name suggestsBefore will call at the beginning of the test and After will call when the test finishes. Turns out that the Spring WebClient is perfectly suited for traditional calls, as Baeldung states: To review, open the file in an editor that. This file contains bidirectional Unicode text that may be interpreted or compiled differently than what appears below. enqueue (new MockResponse ().setBody (. enqueue (new MockResponse ().setBody (.)). Like pseudocode: mockWebServer.expectPath ('/products'). I want to configure the mock so that responses are returned conditional by path. You may check out the related API usage on the sidebar. I never worked with this web client and thought that by accident, some reactive functionality was introduced. mockWebServer.enqueue(MockResponse 1 file 0 forks 0 comments 0 stars taweewong / refreshp24.kt. 1 Im using MockWebServer from okhttp3 to test my webclient against a mocked external webserver. You can vote up the ones you like or vote down the ones you don't like, and go to the original project or source file by following the links above each example.
Mockwebserver enqueue code#
While reviewing code in one of my major projects, I saw a developer using the. Enqueue names are displayed in the LOCKTYPE column of the DBALOCK and DBALOCKINTERNAL data dictionary views. It's good at providing pre-defined responses to method calls, but things get challenging. Mockito is the most common mocking library for Java. Use WebClient for real, but mock the service it calls by using MockWebServer (okhttp) 3. They can be associated with a session or transaction. We have two main options for mocking in our tests: Use Mockito to mimic the behavior of WebClient. = )Ĭlass MockServerProxyServletTest ProxyServlet. This article briefly introduces the MockWebServer, a nice way to test HTTP calls from a Java application. Enqueues are shared memory structures (locks) that serialize access to database resources.

Build a Mobile Video Chat Framework With Nex Gen Media Server (NGMS) API
Software giants, like Google are disrupting the otherwise safe and established players in the mobile application development business. Newcomers like Android have led to significant structural changes on the future of mobile application development by imposing their rules. This changed environment not only brings additional opportunities, but also adds certain constraints. Developers today, need to assess their options and find out how they can benefit from this changed environment.
While mobile computing has caught the attention of application developers, there has been very little work done to examine the programming ease of these technologies. Here we will take a look at two apkpure vip of the most widely available mobile development environments - Android and Windows Mobile and explore and assess these options from a developer's perspective.
Android
Android was released by Google in 2007, as an open source platform for mobile software development for smartphones. The Android platform was released as part of the Open Handset Alliance. The primary aim of this alliance was to set up open standards for smartphones. Android is basically a Linux based, open source operating system for mobiles. As a mobile operating system it allows developers to create managed codes in Java, by using Java libraries developed by Google. Not only does Android provide a mobile operating system including a development environment, it also offers a custom virtual machine known as the Dalvik Virtual Machine for running applications as well as acts as the middleware in between the operating system and the code. When it comes to application development, Android facilitates the usage of 2D as well as 3D graphic libraries, advanced network capabilities such as 3G, Edge and WLAN and a customized SQL engine for continual storage.
Windows Mobile
Developed by Microsoft, the Window Mobile is an operating system for mobile devices. Based on the Microsoft Windows CE 5.0, Windows Mobile is used as an operating system on many smartphones, PDAs and touch screen devices. Windows Mobile facilitates the creation of custom written applications in managed as well as native codes. The Application Programming Interface (API) in Windows Mobile is extensible and has rich features along with a programmable layer. Besides that Windows Mobile also takes advantage of the capabilities provided by Microsoft.Net environment.
We will compare these platforms and closely examine their strengths and weaknesses. The platforms will be compared on the basis of implementation and performance aspects as well as developer support. We have chosen these criteria for the comparison as they represent the most important aspects when it comes to mobile software developers.
Implementation
We will use persistent storage as the basis for comparing the implementation aspect. The technology used for persistent storage in mobile technology varies between various mobile development environments. Both Windows Mobile and Android have the ability to use an on-device database which facilitates easier manipulation as well as extraction of data. Also, as far as local file storage is concerned both environments support memory cards for additional storage space. However, the difference lies in the way the storage space is exploited. While Android cannot install applications on memory cards, Windows Mobile allows it. Both Android and Windows Mobile platforms have a relational database. Also, in both the platforms the libraries have quite a few useful persistence features. Once the libraries have been initialized, access to database is available via an object oriented interface which can be easily accessed by developers.
Performance
Performance figures are important for both users as well as developers. The performance comparison of the two platforms will be carried out based on the file size. The basic purpose of measuring file size is to get a better idea of the configuration as well as the run time dependencies that are included in packaged applications.
Android applications come packaged in apk (Android Package) files. The .APK file generally has a group of .DEX (Android program files) files, which operate like a single application file for usage within the Android platform. The .APK file is basically the compressed version of the contents in the 'Androidmanifest.xml' file.
Windows Mobile applications make use of cab-files for application packaging and deployment. The first step while making a distributable file, involves packaging the application in a CAB (Cabinet) file. This CAB file can be deployed to other devices where it can be expanded and installed. A CAB file is basically an executable archive which contains the application, resources, dependencies like DLLs and other resource files.
A comparative study of mobile development environments was conducted by Tom Morten Gronli, Jarle Hansen and Gheorghita Ghinea, of Brunel University, London. In this comparative study, a demo example application was created in both the Windows Mobile and Android development platforms to better illustrate the deployment file size for each application. The demo example application was a simple program which printed a line of text on the screen. The result from the code example was as follows:
The deployment size of the demo application in the Windows Mobile environment was 2.8 KB.
The deployment size of the demo application in the Android environment was 9.3 KB.
The file sizes as denoted were without any obfuscator or shrinker software. This is the type of file that an end user would either download or get shipped and then installed on his/her device. As can be seen from above, the demo application in Windows Mobile had a file size of 2.8 KB while Android was approximately three times the size at 9.3 KB. This serves as an indication of the total amount of configuration files and runtime dependencies which must be bundled along with each of the client applications. When it comes to the number of lines of code, Windows Mobile required only 11 lines whereas Android needed 28.
Developer Support Comparison
Developer support is a highly important aspect when it comes to gaining speed as well as quality during the development process. While both mobile development platforms do have similarities, there are some unique differences in developer support. The differences become clearer when we take the integrated developer environment (IDE) and the tooling into consideration.
The only choice for development in Windows Mobile is Visual Studio, which is again developed by Microsoft. With Visual Studio, Windows Mobile needs Microsoft backing before it can implement and ship new features in the IDE. The community can only make suggestions but doesn't have any direct influence. However, there is a positive side as consistency is assured. Also, the quality approval process implemented by Microsoft while shipping new products will assure quality.
On the other hand, there are several tooling options for Android, with quite a few IDEs. Android has open source communities who contribute to IDE development by providing as well as assuring quality of plugin functionalities for software. However, the multiple IDE environment can be quite a challenge for maintaining consistency and quality assurance. Consistency becomes a challenge as extension features may be available for only some of the competing IDEs. Quality assurance becomes a major challenge as development carried out by the community is not governed by a common standard for quality required prior to making the new integrated developer environment feature available. Quality assurance of the delivered code is essential for delivering fully functional products. These two factors can potentially make code and application portability between environments impossible.
One of the differences between the Android and the Windows Mobile development platforms as far as developer support and quality assurance is concerned becomes more apparent in the testing environment. Let us take a closer look at this during unit testing of both development platforms.
Unit testing is basically a quality assurance and validation tool for testing small parts of a computer or mobile applications. The aim is to have each section isolated and tested separately. This will help to isolate and assure the quality of the different units of the application.
Unit testing for Android is considerably straightforward as the API uses the JUnit test framework. The JUnit framework enforces hierarchical organization of the various test units which is a major advantage. Besides that, the JUnit pattern ensures independence of the test units as well as minimizes interference. This is done by first creating and then destroying the recently created test environment, before and after each test method is run. Android even takes JUnit a step further by allowing on device testing of the code. Here the test libraries are incorporated as part of the Android's standard libraries.
However, there's one challenge with Android's on device testing as compared to Windows Mobile is the results' readability. Android's on device tests don't have a user interface which can display the test's results. In order to view results of the test, a handler which deals with callbacks from Android's test runner has to be implemented.
Windows Mobile on the other hand exhibits a high degree of readability and visibility, while the Android platform is a bit hard to use when it comes to efficiency. The difficulty with Android is the lack of feedback, which is issued automatically through visual tools in the integrated development environment in Windows Mobile.
youtube
Windows Mobile implements a version of the xUnit framework. The code for test classes is kept in a separate project, though it still stays inside one solution in the IDE. Like Android, Windows Mobile's xUnit testing also allows on device testing. The biggest difference here, as mentioned earlier, is its test feedback. Windows Mobile has a more comprehensive user interface which offers feedback based on each test run. This makes it easier for developers to better understand which test succeeded and why a particular test failed.
Debugging support is also important for application development as it is a real time step by step code execution, which can help find and fix bugs. The debugging process will be dependent on the integrated development environment to perform its task. Both Windows Mobile and Android platforms support step by step debugging. Besides that, both platforms also include an on device debugging feature that lets an application run on a mobile device while debugging runs in the IDE.

Fandom Userscript Cookbook: Five Projects to Get Your Feet Wet
Target audience: This post is dedicated, with love, to all novice, aspiring, occasional, or thwarted coders in fandom. If you did a code bootcamp once and don’t know where to start applying your new skillz, this is for you. If you're pretty good with HTML and CSS but the W3Schools Javascript tutorials have you feeling out of your depth, this is for you. If you can do neat things in Python but don’t know a good entry point for web programming, this is for you. Seasoned programmers looking for small, fun, low-investment hobby projects with useful end results are also welcome to raid this post for ideas.
You will need:
The Tampermonkey browser extension to run and edit userscripts
A handful of example userscripts from greasyfork.org. Just pick a few that look nifty and install them. AO3 Savior is a solid starting point for fandom tinkering.
Your browser dev tools. Hit F12 or right click > Inspect Element to find the stuff on the page you want to tweak and experiment with it. Move over to the Console tab once you’ve got code to test out and debug.
Javascript references and tutorials. W3Schools has loads of both. Mozilla’s JS documentation is top-notch, and I often just keep their reference lists of built-in String and Array functions open in tabs as I code. StackOverflow is useful for questions, but don’t assume the code snippets you find there are always reliable or copypastable.
That’s it. No development environment. No installing node.js or Ruby or Java or two different versions of Python. No build tools, no dependency management, no fucking Docker containers. No command line, even. Just a browser extension, the browser’s built-in dev tools, and reference material. Let’s go.
You might also want:
jQuery and its documentation. If you’re wrestling with a mess of generic spans and divs and sparse, unhelpful use of classes, jQuery selectors are your best bet for finding the element you want before you snap and go on a murderous rampage. jQuery also happens to be the most ubiquitous JS library out there, the essential Swiss army knife for working with Javascript’s... quirks, so experience with it is useful. It gets a bad rap because trying to build a whole house with a Swiss army knife is a fool’s errand, but it’s excellent for the stuff we're about to do.
Git or other source control, if you’ve already got it set up. By all means share your work on Github. Greasy Fork can publish a userscript from a Github repo. It can also publish a userscript from an uploaded text file or some code you pasted into the upload form, so don’t stress about it if you’re using a more informal process.
A text editor. Yes, seriously, this is optional. It’s a question of whether you’d rather code everything right there in Tampermonkey’s live editor, or keep a separate copy to paste into Tampermonkey’s live editor for testing. Are you feeling lucky, punk?
Project #1: Hack on an existing userscript
Install some nifty-looking scripts for websites you visit regularly. Use them. Ponder small additions that would make them even niftier. Take a look at their code in the Tampermonkey editor. (Dashboard > click on the script name.) Try to figure out what each bit is doing.
Then change something, hit save, and refresh the page.
Break it. Make it select the wrong element on the page to modify. Make it blow up with a huge pile of console errors. Add a console.log("I’m a teapot"); in the middle of a loop so it prints fifty times. Savor your power to make the background wizardry of the internet do incredibly dumb shit.
Then try a small improvement. It will probably break again. That's why you've got the live editor and the console, baby--poke it, prod it, and make it log everything it's doing until you've made it work.
Suggested bells and whistles to make the already-excellent AO3 Savior script even fancier:
Enable wildcards on a field that currently requires an exact match. Surely there’s at least one song lyric or Richard Siken quote you never want to see in any part of a fic title ever again, right?
Add some text to the placeholder message. Give it a pretty background color. Change the amount of space it takes up on the page.
Blacklist any work with more than 10 fandoms listed. Then add a line to the AO3 Savior Config script to make the number customizable.
Add a global blacklist of terms that will get a work hidden no matter what field they're in.
Add a list of blacklisted tag combinations. Like "I'm okay with some coffee shop AUs, but the ones that are also tagged as fluff don't interest me, please hide them." Or "Character A/Character B is cute but I don't want to read PWP about them."
Anything else you think of!
Project #2: Good Artists Borrow, Great Artists Fork (DIY blacklisting)
Looking at existing scripts as a model for the boilerplate you'll need, create a script that runs on a site you use regularly that doesn't already have a blacklisting/filtering feature. If you can't think of one, Dreamwidth comments make a good guinea pig. (There's a blacklist script for them out there, but reinventing wheels for fun is how you learn, right? ...right?) Create a simple blacklisting script of your own for that site.
Start small for the site-specific HTML wrangling. Take an array of blacklisted keywords and log any chunk of post/comment text that contains one of them.
Then try to make the post/comment it belongs to disappear.
Then add a placeholder.
Then get fancy with whitelists and matching metadata like usernames/titles/tags as well.
Crib from existing blacklist scripts like AO3 Savior as shamelessly as you feel the need to. If you publish the resulting userscript for others to install (which you should, if it fills an unmet need!), please comment up any substantial chunks of copypasted or closely-reproduced code with credit/a link to the original. If your script basically is the original with some key changes, like our extra-fancy AO3 Savior above, see if there’s a public Git repo you can fork.
Project #3: Make the dread Tumblr beast do a thing
Create a small script that runs on the Tumblr dashboard. Make it find all the posts on the page and log their IDs. Then log whether they're originals or reblogs. Then add a fancy border to the originals. Then add a different fancy border to your own posts. All of this data should be right there in the post HTML, so no need to derive it by looking for "x reblogged y" or source links or whatever--just make liberal use of Inspect Element and the post's data- attributes.
Extra credit: Explore the wildly variable messes that Tumblr's API spews out, and try to recreate XKit's timestamps feature with jQuery AJAX calls. (Post timestamps are one of the few reliable API data points.) Get a zillion bright ideas about what else you could do with the API data. Go through more actual post data to catalogue all the inconsistencies you’d have to catch. Cry as Tumblr kills the dream you dreamed.
Project #4: Make the dread Tumblr beast FIX a thing
Create a script that runs on individual Tumblr blogs (subdomains of tumblr.com). Browse some blogs with various themes until you've found a post with the upside-down reblog-chain bug and a post with reblogs displaying normally. Note the HTML differences between them. Make the script detect and highlight upside-down stacks of blockquotes. Then see if you can make it extract the blockquotes and reassemble them in the correct order. At this point you may be mobbed by friends and acquaintainces who want a fix for this fucking bug, which you can take as an opportunity to bury any lingering doubts about the usefulness of your scripting adventures.
(Note: Upside-down reblogs are the bug du jour as of September 2019. If you stumble upon this post later, please substitute whatever the latest Tumblr fuckery is that you'd like to fix.)
Project #5: Regular expressions are a hard limit
I mentioned up above that Dreamwidth comments are good guinea pigs for user scripting? You know what that means. Kinkmemes. Anon memes too, but kinkmemes (appropriately enough) offer so many opportunities for coding masochism. So here's a little exercise in sadism on my part, for anyone who wants to have fun (or "fun") with regular expressions:
Write a userscript that highlights all the prompts on any given page of a kinkmeme that have been filled.
Specifically, scan all the comment subject lines on the page for anything that looks like the title of a kinkmeme fill, and if you find one, highlight the prompt at the top of its thread. The nice ones will start with "FILL:" or end with "part 1/?" or "3/3 COMPLETE." The less nice ones will be more like "(former) minifill [37a / 50(?)] still haven't thought of a name for this thing" or "title that's just the subject line of the original prompt, Chapter 3." Your job is to catch as many of the weird ones as you can using regular expressions, while keeping false positives to a minimum.
Test it out on a real live kinkmeme, especially one without strict subject-line-formatting policies. I guarantee you, you will be delighted at some of the arcane shit your script manages to catch. And probably astonished at some of the arcane shit you never thought to look for because who the hell would even format a kinkmeme fill like that? Truly, freeform user input is a wonderful and terrible thing.
If that's not enough masochism for you, you could always try to make the script work on LiveJournal kinkmemes too!

Browser Automation Utilizing Selenium
The primary step in web browser automation is to locate the elements online page that we want to interact with, like a button, input, dropdown list, etc.
the selenium representation of such html elements is the webelement. like webdriver the webelement is likewise a java interface. as soon as we acquire a webelement we can perform any operation on them that an end user can do, like clicking, typing, selecting, etc.
If you want to create robust, browser-based regression automation suites and tests, scale and disperse scripts throughout lots of environments, then you want to use selenium webdriver, a collection of language specific bindings to drive a browser - the way it is indicated to be driven.

Bullet Updates - Windowing, Apache Pulsar PubSub, Configuration-based Data Ingestion, and More
By Akshay Sarma, Principal Engineer, Verizon Media & Brian Xiao, Software Engineer, Verizon Media
This is the first of an ongoing series of blog posts sharing releases and announcements for Bullet, an open-sourced lightweight, scalable, pluggable, multi-tenant query system.
Bullet allows you to query any data flowing through a streaming system without having to store it first through its UI or API. The queries are injected into the running system and have minimal overhead. Running hundreds of queries generally fit into the overhead of just reading the streaming data. Bullet requires running an instance of its backend on your data. This backend runs on common stream processing frameworks (Storm and Spark Streaming currently supported).
The data on which Bullet sits determines what it is used for. For example, our team runs an instance of Bullet on user engagement data (~1M events/sec) to let developers find their own events to validate their code that produces this data. We also use this instance to interactively explore data, throw up quick dashboards to monitor live releases, count unique users, debug issues, and more.
Since open sourcing Bullet in 2017, we’ve been hard at work adding many new features! We’ll highlight some of these here and continue sharing update posts for future releases.
Windowing
Bullet used to operate in a request-response fashion - you would submit a query and wait for the query to meet its termination conditions (usually duration) before receiving results. For short-lived queries, say, a few seconds, this was fine. But as we started fielding more interactive and iterative queries, waiting even a minute for results became too cumbersome.
Enter windowing! Bullet now supports time and record-based windowing. With time windowing, you can break up your query into chunks of time over its duration and retrieve results for each chunk.  For example, you can calculate the average of a field, and stream back results every second:

In the above example, the aggregation is operating on all the data since the beginning of the query, but you can also do aggregations on just the windows themselves. This is often called a Tumbling window:

With record windowing, you can get the intermediate aggregation for each record that matches your query (a Sliding window). Or you can do a Tumbling window on records rather than time. For example, you could get results back every three records:

Overlapping windows in other ways (Hopping windows) or windows that reset based on different criteria (Session windows, Cascading windows) are currently being worked on. Stay tuned!

Apache Pulsar support as a native PubSub
Bullet uses a PubSub (publish-subscribe) message queue to send queries and results between the Web Service and Backend. As with everything else in Bullet, the PubSub is pluggable. You can use your favorite pubsub by implementing a few interfaces if you don’t want to use the ones we provide. Until now, we’ve maintained and supported a REST-based PubSub and an Apache Kafka PubSub. Now we are excited to announce supporting Apache Pulsar as well! Bullet Pulsar will be useful to those users who want to use Pulsar as their underlying messaging service.
If you aren’t familiar with Pulsar, setting up a local standalone is very simple, and by default, any Pulsar topics written to will automatically be created. Setting up an instance of Bullet with Pulsar instead of REST or Kafka is just as easy. You can refer to our documentation for more details.

Plug your data into Bullet without code
While Bullet worked on any data source located in any persistence layer, you still had to implement an interface to connect your data source to the Backend and convert it into a record container format that Bullet understands. For instance, your data might be located in Kafka and be in the Avro format. If you were using Bullet on Storm, you would perhaps write a Storm Spout to read from Kafka, deserialize, and convert the Avro data into the Bullet record format. This was the only interface in Bullet that required our customers to write their own code. Not anymore! Bullet DSL is a text/configuration-based format for users to plug in their data to the Bullet Backend without having to write a single line of code.
Bullet DSL abstracts away the two major components for plugging data into the Bullet Backend. A Connector piece to read from arbitrary data-sources and a Converter piece to convert that read data into the Bullet record container. We currently support and maintain a few of these - Kafka and Pulsar for Connectors and Avro, Maps and arbitrary Java POJOs for Converters. The Converters understand typed data and can even do a bit of minor ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) if you need to change your data around before feeding it into Bullet. As always, the DSL components are pluggable and you can write your own (and contribute it back!) if you need one that we don’t support.
We appreciate your feedback and contributions! Explore Bullet on GitHub, use and help contribute to the project, and chat with us on Google Groups. To get started, try our Quickstarts on Spark or Storm to set up an instance of Bullet on some fake data and play around with it.
