“Wow and Flutter” is a new and exciting release by Norwegian bassist Terje Gewelt. This contemporary jazz recording features all original music that will move, excite and surprise the listener. The music moves in many different directions, reflecting the unsure and dividing times we now all are experiencing. Terje Gewelt is an internationally renowned Norwegian bassist. He appears on over one hundred recordings with musicians including Billy Cobham, John Surman, Karin Krog, Misha Alperin (ECM), Tommy Smith (Blue Note), Michael Shrieve and David Torn (RCA). Gewelt has released twelve recordings as a bandleader, all on his Resonant Music label.

News February/March 2012:

I just released my new solo album — Contradictions. It`s all improvised music performed by myself on a great Steinway D Grand Piano and I`m also using live electronics/sampling on some of the tracks. The album was recorded last summer at Ibsenhuset/Audiopol Studio in Skien, Norway, with Audun Kleive as engineer. And it was mixed and mastered by Reidar Skår at 7.Etg in the end of 2011/beginning of 2012. R.Skår also contributed with additional fx.

And also: 26th and 27th of April, me and Terje Evensen is arranging Tape to Zero 2012 — which is a concert series/mini festival for new jazz, electronic, ambient, cross-over music. The festival is located at Nasjonal Jazzscene in Oslo.  Watch videos from the Tape to Zero festival last year here.
