I focused on the Christina Hovland story.  It was cute and sassy like book one.  Loving her writing and characters.

I’ve wanted to read this for a while.  I enjoyed bits like the pair coming together and how they had to sort through serious misunderstandings, but then the twist happened and didn’t care for it.  Still, it was alright over all.

Magical!  Roaring 20′s era showbiz and the daughter of Harry Houdini made this an intriguing and fun read.

#13 Lady Emily

Historical Mystery

So many mixed feelings.  I am a series fan, but now... I don’t think I am any more.  The last few have fallen off, but I just keep trying.  I think this one cured me.  So much of nothing for me and Emily drove me nuts with her autocratic snobbery for what was best for the poor and her flaky behavior elsewhere.  Pretty bad when I preferred the secondary story of reading about a medieval lady doing embroidery.

Romantic Suspense

Just how much can one woman take and keep coming back.  A bit, apparently.  I enjoyed this tough, survival adventure story and love that the author isn’t afraid to write a vulnerable character who faces life.
