Controversial headcanon I've got part one!

I ship Tenko and Rantaro, Tenko and Kaito, Kokichi with Miu, and I'm really digging the enemies to lovers idea for Kokichi and Maki;;;;

I’ve definitely written some with the first three ships, they’re excellent ships, and I love Tenko being able to get another with guys.

I’m definitely warming up to Kokichi and Maki. Once you start digging in there, they can be a really satisfying ship (after a lot of work in canon, but we can also jump right over canon to AUs to get right to the sweet stuff, but Maki and Kokichi gradually getting closer is v good)

• Tenko was fed lies at a young age that all men are all horrible degenerates, so when she meets Kaito and the rest shes skeptical. Judging him at first. He's sweet towards her, and isn't offended by any of the insults she throws his way. She ends up realizing that men aren't as bad as she was told, but now shes embarrassed and afraid to embrace this new side of herself so she hides it. She would rather die then have the other guys know she doesn't actually hate any of them. She fears it will change their view of her and it'll make her look weak.

•Kaito and Tenko are childhood best friends, they would train a lot together- and they trusted each other more than anything. Tenko only trusts him

•Tenko is afraid that her crush on her best friend Kaito will ruin things and make her look like another pathetic woman

•Because Tenko is afraid to show her true colors, she forces herself on girls to show that she doesn't need nor does she want a man.

•Tenko's feelings are unrequited, Kaito only sees her as a close friend because he likes Maki. Kaito isn't even aware of her feelings in general, because he just assumes she would never even think about liking a man. So he occasionally jokes around with her, saying playful stuff like "your my best friend, you know that?" Which destroys Tenko constantly because she knows she'll never be able to truly confess because of this fake persona she made for herself.

•They play video games together and they always make bets when one loses, which is usually always Kaito. Tenko is brutal when it's his punishment.

•They are enemies to frenemies to friends to best friends to- Tenko now has a huge crush and it won't go away and she can't stop thinking about him.

•Kaito is so oblivious, I mean why or how would he ever expect the one girl to call him a degenerate 24/7 who always acts like she never needs a real man to have a crush on him.

•Kaito gets with Maki and it makes Tenko heartbroken. Not only because they seem perfect for each other, but also because Kaito was her first genuine crush- and he's the only man she'll ever trust. Seeing him in the arms of another woman she doesn't trust scares her.

•When they were kids Tenko was much taller and stronger than Kaito. She would throw him around and wrestle him until he cried, but now that they are older Tenko feels much more intimidated. Kaito grew not only taller, but stronger. She can't tell if she likes that or hates it.

Well I believe Tenko doesn't inherently hate men, she stated at one point she was "boy-crazy", but then she was taught to hate them by her master who she trusted. So therefore she had a false idea of what men were really like built off of a paranoid fear brought on by someone she believed and looked up to. So when she came into the killing game she was in a closed up area with plenty of guys and girls. Shipping Tenko with a girl is the default, Tenko doesnt need any chemistry to be with a woman- because it doesn't take any trust for her to like them, she believes what they say no matter what (which can become a problem). With men like Kaito and Shuichi however, Tenko eventually had to learn and get along with these two. Healthy relationships all build off of trust, Tenko being with a man has to have lots of trust- and I think the idea of that is kinda beautiful. Tenko was afraid of men, but now her close friends like Kaito and Shuichi are able to confide in her and make her unlearn all those toxic habits. Hating all men is sexist and should not be encouraged, Tenko is a good character with strong morals and I think that her finally believing in someone other than just any woman and thinking that they will all just have her back as a default because they are simply woman for a change is great. Tenko does not have any trauma towards men because all of the characters in V3 have fabricated pasts, meaning they were made up. Though if she did have trauma towards men it would still not justify her behavior, it would explain it- but nothing more. It's still sexist and toxic. People need to learn that hating a certain gender is never okay no matter the issue you underwent, hating a whole group of people is always discriminatory. You should not shame everyone over an event you experienced. Though you will have trust issues, like Tenko, you will always eventually get back up on your feet if you meet the right kind of people. I truly believe Kaito and Shuichi could treat her right. Don't get it twisted I don't ship this just to make the fandom mad, or because Tenko specifically stated that she hates men and I think its funny- but because I think that helping her grow and get a healthy mindset is our goal and helping her to trust her male classmates is a step forward. Not only is her hate for men not healthy, but so is her undying trust towards all woman. These can both become a bad habit. That's why I believe in bisexual Tenko supremacy. Don't agree? Tell me why, I'd like to know- all my points are justified I just wanna hear everyone's points.

{The fake fiancee trope to prevent a woman from breaking every bone in some jerk’s body}

100 Prompts Challenge. Won’t be every day but I’ll do my best to finish it. Pairings chosen by a generator.

Prompt 2: “Come dance with me.”--Tenko/Kaito

Tenko tries very hard not to do a violence on someone who well deserves it.

Tenko was thoroughly sick of the party, and even more sick of the man with his arm propped up against the wall, looming over her like a predator crouched over his prey. If not for the promise she’d made to her mother beforehand, at least six bones in his hand would be broken by now.

She folded her arms squarely over her chest. Each moment brought her stress levels one tick closer to her snapping point.

“What happened to that gorgeous smile I saw from across the room?” he crooned, his voice thick and slimy. “It enchanted me; I had to speak to you as soon as I saw it.”

She could have this jerk flat on the floor within seconds screaming for help. Tenko saw it clearly in her mind’s eye. But her promise…

He grabbed her hand, engulfing hers in a sweaty grip. Red flared up in her vision, each cell in her body revolted by the touch. Screw the promise.

“Hey! Hands off my fiancee.”

Before Tenko could grab the dude by his stupid wagging tie, another man emerged from the throngs of people around them. This one, however, relaxed her in a way no other man ever could. Especially since, if Kaito here happened to escalate the situation in her stead, then she wouldn’t have broken her promise. Even if she did egg him on somewhat.

The stranger released her hand and, to her infinite disappointment, backed off.

��Sorry, since she was alone I didn’t think she was taken already.”

Kaito held an upward-facing palm out to her. She slipped her hand into his, allowing him to draw her away from the wall.

“Let’s go, love, come dance with me.”

Tenko fought to keep her face schooled into a straight line. It was difficult, though, with how earnestly Kaito spoke. A tiny snort escaped, a twitch of her lips, but overall her profound amusement seemed to go unnoticed, fortunately.

“Sounds amazing,” she said, resisting the urge to stick her tongue out at the strange man over her shoulder.

“That asshole doesn’t know how close to death he just came,” Kaito said as they moved out of earshot.

Tenko huffed. Even though they’d broken line of sight with him, she found herself still comfortable with her hand in Kaito’s. It was a comfort hard won, after years of getting to know him, but he was the only guy she’d allow to pull the fake fiancee excuse to help her out of a situation. “If my mother didn’t make me promise not to make a scene, he’d be out cold way before you showed up.”

“Yeah.” Kaito chuckled, and switched directions. They made their way back off the dance floor, going for the double doors at the back of the hall instead. “C’mon, let’s hang out outside for a bit.”

Her eyes brightened. “Are you gonna tell me more stories behind the constellations and stars and stuff?” she asked, excitement sparking across her words.

“Of course, screw this stuffy party, am I right?”

“Yeah,” she chimed in agreement, “screw it.”

{Just a sparring session}

Thought about how Kaito and Tenko would bond over sparring. So wrote this with TenKaito in mind (Tenko/Kaito). Not much to say other than that.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The fist shot towards her. She knocked it away with a strong arm. Then her guard came back up, balance sunk lower to the ground. Her weight shifted from one foot to the other, light and bouncy and ready to spring back if she had to. The fight had begun to wear on Tenko, her breath coming in quick gasps.

Kaito wasn’t much better, though. His chest heaved, fists tight and held close to his body. Burning purple eyes fixed onto her, intent and studying her movements to anticipate the next. In any other situation, the intensity of his gaze might make her feel a little breathless, though she still didn’t know why that was.

Now however, while she was breathless, if had nothing to do with bright lilac eyes.
