Muffling the raspy cough that left him into the pillow. This wasn't anything new — getting sick that was, he seemed to catch anything so easily. It had been like this since he was born.

His gaze turning to his father, lids dropped and eyes unfocused in the moment. Having been in and out of sleeping since he had fallen ill this time. Feeling hot and cold all at once — he had kicked the heavy blankets off earlier only to drag them back up. Ugh, he always hated this. It was why he did his best to try and avoid getting sick like this.

Even worse still, he didn't like trouble his parents like this. His mom was already playing nurse, which was enough even BUT he didn't want to trouble his dad as well. Not that he could persuade him to do anything else. Knowing first hand from experience. Even still, he felt awful each time — his mom and dad shouldn't be having to deal with this, they shouldn't. Why'd the universe have to curse them with such a frail and weak son? Another harsh cough escaping him causing his chest and throat to hurt before a low groan into the sheets.

"Y-You don't have to w-watch over me...I-I just need to get some rest is all."
