Developed by denizens of 2Chan, she was released on June 21st, 2010 as a troll VOCALOID. In her initial debut she was described as a yandere who was obsessed with Kagamine Len, she hated all other VOCALOIDS and wanted to kill Miku, she had a fetish for traffic lights, and other... Strange things.

Her initially reception was extremely mixed, and in 2014 her creators announced they sent an apology email to Crypton for Tei's development. Along with this, her traits stated above were also removed from her official profile.

She is still stated to be a yandere, but she also hates murder. She also likes baking cakes.
