Jamie on their couch watching reruns of last nights match. He couldn’t care that they lost though. He’s winning. He has his daughter sitting on his chest, her baby shampoo from her bath time still swirling in the air.
He can hear Roy in the kitchen making a bottle for their kid. Their kid!! They have a kid!! Jamie still can’t believe it half the time.
Roy comes back into their living room, passing the bottle to Jamie and sitting. Jamie switches around so he can lean against Roy while feeding Rosemary. A position they do quite often.
While their little 8 month old drinks, Jamie leans back and bites Roy’s jaw. Roy let’s put a quiet growl but all it does it make Rosie smile.
Jamie looks at Rosemary, he doesn’t understand how his dad could’ve possibly been so mean to such a small thing because that’s all Jamie was, he was this small once. His dad held him like this once. But it doesn’t matter now. Jamie has had a restraining order since they first talked about kids. His father is officially out of his life permanently.
He shakes those thoughts away. He’s looking forward to tonight. Almost a full three days off, Rosie is fully sleeping through the night, and with the most expensive baby monitor they can buy they finally have free time.
The things on Jamie’s agenda are.
Paint nails. Take shower with Roy. Do literally everything with Roy. Don’t let Roy out of sight until the next morning. Cuddle (and more) with Roy.
But right now as he looks down to Roy’s finger in Rosemary’s hand, he’s happy where he is.

So the conclusion I've come to is... in my own fanfic writing projects, I sometimes have works that I know are very good and are received well. And there are some that I know just stink, and the lower interaction reflects it. It's pretty comforting to know that for professional writers, the same thing is true.
Jane Espenson, for instance, beloved by Spuffies everywhere for being our man on the inside, ALSO co-wrote "Gingerbread," my least favorite ep ever.
Douglas Petrie is, in my opinion, absolutely an undercover Spuffy, or at least understood the assignment well enough to fake it. And I love him for being the first to write Wesley, for breaking Bangel up one of the times in S3, for writing "Fool for Love," for strengthening Spike's character in every ep that included him.
And David Fury... look, I know he gets a lot of flack, but I think he doesn't actually hate Spike as much as it seems. Looking at his list of episodes and the messages I know to be in them, I think he's just VERY pro-soul, and can't wrap his head around a vampire being good without one. But once Spike does get his soul... well, we need look no further than "Showtime."
But really, let's all bow down to Rebecca Rand Kirshner. For "Out of My Mind." For "Tabula Rasa." For "Help." For "Touched." For some of the sweetest Spuffy moments in all her other eps.

Ted Bessell Vs. Dick Van Dyke
Propaganda
Ted Bessell - (That Girl, It's a Man's World) - He was so cute as Marlo Thomas's awkward, perpetually cock-blocked by network censors, boyfriend on That Girl. Also good in It's a Man's World, a one season wonder that was one of television's first attempts at a found family show, about three 20-something men raising a kid on a houseboat.
Dick Van Dyke - (The Dick Van Dyke Show, Diagnosis: Murder, The Carol Burnett Show) - First of all he’s a hilarious comic: he has impeccable comedic timing and his physical comedy talent remains one of the best of all time. Second of all he can dance AND sing AND act— truly a renaissance man. (He is one Oscar away from an EGOT, which is very cool!) Also, those eyes and dimples? There’s a reason he’s so shippable with everyone from Julie Andrews to Mary Tyler Moore: he’s a certified cutie! His looks combined with his talents and personality definitely make him THE hottest vintage TV man.
Master Poll List | How to submit propaganda | What is vintage? (FAQ)
Additional propaganda below the cut
Ted Bessell:
Dick Van Dyke:
That twinkle! The physical humor! The wholesomeness! I love this man!
Rob Petrie (his character on the Dick Van Dyke Show) is one of the few good sitcom husbands. he's good at his job, he talks issues out with his wife and stands by her, and he's genuinely very funny and lovable. and that's not even getting into how brilliant his physical comedy is
His smile is charming his swag is unparalleled he plays a devoted tv husband and there’s nothing hotter than making me laugh

Polyhedron of the Day #126: Mucube
The mucube is a regular skew apeirohedron. Its Bowers-style acronym is muc. It can be constructed from the cubic honeycomb by removing certain square faces. Its Schläfli symbol is {4,6|4}. It does not have an interior or exterior; rather, it divides 3D space into two indistinguishable sections (according to its symmetry group), hence its regularity. Its dual is the muoctahedron.

Even though we are most conscious of the big, widely spoken languages like English and Chinese, most languages are spoken by a much smaller number of people. Because of the sheer number of languages in the world, something like Estonian is much more typical. To a first approximation, nobody in the world ever learns Estonian. If an Estonian person wants to talk to someone who’s not Estonian, they speak English. In the past, they might have spoken Russian. But nobody is learning Estonian. And Estonian is very complicated, with 14 noun cases and all kinds of other trouble. But as Trudgill points out, even Estonian — with its ~1 million speakers and solid K-12 education system and some broadcast media — is much more widely spoken than most historical languages. The vast bulk of human history consists of language communities that had no television or radio or even writing, speaking face-to-face mostly to other people they actually know. Communities like that are Petri dishes of linguistic innovation. When I used to host “The Weeds,” Dara Lind liked to jokingly say things like “Teds Cruz” to mean “people like Ted Cruz” modeled on the pluralization of attorneys-general. That became an inside joke that Sarah Kliff and Jane Coaston and I picked up. And Trudgill says this is how language change works in small oral communities — someone makes something up because he or she thinks it’s clever, and if other people like it, they copy it. There aren’t a lot of entertainment options, language play is fun, and there’s no influx of foreigners learning your language and needing to simplify it. So you end up developing a kind of anti-creole, with lots of weird flourishes.

Pairing: Joel x OFC! Grace
Word Count: 1.2k
Rating: mature (for subject matter and one’s own ability to have a sense of humor)
Summary: realistic attempt at shower sex with a 56yo man 🤣
Warnings: snark, humor, back issues, backing that ass up, talk of sexy time, no mention of post apocalyptic Viagra don’t worry, food and alcohol, mentions of friends (Ted Lasso, Coach Beard, Maria, Tommy)
The AO3 notes are fantastic and will give you a nice 90s throwback (pun intended) 🤣
Time, doing this to me, may alter too
“I told you this was a bad idea,” Grace said, the words partly muffled by Joel’s broad chest, his arm draped around her shoulder where her regular ratty bathrobe clung to her wet skin. The afterglow was supposed to involve towels, sunshine and line-dried to a satisfying fresh fluffiness, and possibly the last slice of the silky huckleberry custard tart Ted had brought ostensibly as some kind of thank-you, though it hadn’t been clear to Grace what he was grateful for, other than Joel occasionally talking to him in more than two-word sentences. Supposed was the most salient word, because she had hastily grabbed her flannel robe from the hook on the back of the bathroom door and shrugged it on before offering herself as Joel’s human crutch and if this was him trying to keep from putting his whole weight in her, she was in trouble.
“This your bedside manner?” Joel muttered. He sounded a bit growly at the end but not in a hot way. He stumbled and she wobbled but she’d planted her feet far enough apart they stayed upright.
“This is my shower-side manner, because you insisted on shower sex and there’s no bench in the shower and I told you someone might get hurt, but no—”

One irritatingly common claim I see about Joyce Summers is that she's poorly characterized because she was "written by men" (and, therefore, one supposes, can be safely despised in a fun and feminist way). I've always been struck by how odd a claim that is, for a couple of reasons.
First, while it's true that Buffy as a whole was created by a (particularly terrible) man and most of the show's other writers were men (especially in the first two seasons), it's not clear why this would necessarily be a problem for Joyce if it isn't for every other character. If you're willing to grant that middle-aged men can write believable and sympathetic teenage girls (something which, if you like the show at all, you presumably do agree with), then what exactly is stopping them writing believable and sympathetic adult women?
Second, of all the Buffy characters to level the "written by men" charge at, Joyce is perhaps the least suitable. The majority of episodes of the show where Joyce has a significant presence on screen were, in fact, not written by men. Since those handful of episodes are the ones that do the most to establish her character, I would argue that Joyce Summers is, in fact, mostly written by women.
The nine episodes of the show in which Joyce Summers has the most speaking time are, (ordered by percentage of dialgoue for the whole episode; the individual ranking changes if we look at a total time but the actual top nine doesn't) :
S3E02 Dead Man's Party (written by Marti Noxon), 18.3%
S5E09 Listening To Fear (written by Rebecca Rand Kirshner), 16.4%
S3E11 Gingerbread (written by Thalia St. John & Jane Espenson), 14.2%
S3E06 Band Candy (written by Jane Espenson), 12.3%
S2E11 Ted (written by David Greenwalt & Joss Whedon), 10.5%
S2E12 Bad Eggs (written by Marti Noxon), 10.2%
S2E22 Becoming Part 2 (written by Joss Whedon), 8.7%
S1E03 Witch (written by Dana Reston), 8.5%
S2E03 School Hard (written by David Greenwalt & Joss Whedon), 8.2%
Two thirds of those spisodes -- and four of the top five -- were written by women. And I don't think the statistics are misleading here. These are all episodes in which Joyce features heavily for a reason: episodes explicitly about her relationship with Buffy or episodes in which she has a significant role in the plot. And I don't think there are important Joyce episodes that don't appear on this list (except, perhaps, The Body, for obvious reasons, but that's not really an episode about Joyce as a person).
Oh, and third, of course, the whole premise that men are somehow fundamentally incapable of understanding women and as such cannot possibly write them well is brain-rotting gender essentialist nonsense. One of the most popular characters on the show is Faith, and (unlike Joyce), her character really is mostly written by men (well, mostly written by Doug Petrie, if we want to be exact). Of course the character on the screen is not just the character in the script, and we certainly shouldn't understate the role that Eliza Dushku played in actually bringing the character she played to life. But then, we surely shouldn't make this mistake for Kristine Sutherland either.
#btvs#wasn't going to post this but I stumbled into somebody (outside Tumblr) talking about how much they hated Joyce so here we are

WASHINGTON — Talia Dror grew up hearing about the blatant antisemitism her mother’s family faced in Iran before immigrating to the United States. Her grandfather was stabbed for being a Jew, she said. Her mother was regularly called a dirty Jew.
Yet, Dror never expected antisemitism would follow the family to the country they fled to for refuge.
But the Cornell University junior said she was petrified last month when the school’s Jewish students were threatened online. The posts called for the deaths of Jewish people and warned that the school’s kosher dining hall would be shot up and a “Jewish house” bombed.
A 21-year-old student was arrested on federal charges a few days later. But not before Dror sat in her locked house, pondering her mortality.
“I knew that with my roommates and I being openly Jewish community leaders, our apartment would be one of the first targets for someone looked to actualize the threats, she testified at a recent congressional hearing.
As Jewish Americans increasingly worry about their personal safety amid an alarming rise in antisemitic incidents – particularly on college campuses – since the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel, they're pleading for help from the Biden administration.
Their calls for help have not been ignored. Officials have emphasized the progress made on a national strategy to counter antisemitism that was rolled out in May but has taken on new urgency. And they’ve put a particular focus on what’s happening in schools as officials have visited campuses, met with Jewish community leaders and made clear the Education Department will investigate antisemitism complaints.
Israel-Hamas protests roiled campuses. Now, the feds are investigating colleges and schools
“We understand that people are scared,” White House domestic policy adviser Neera Tanden said in a recent video briefing for the Jewish community on how the administration is implementing its antisemitism strategy.
“I do believe that we are doing everything and anything we can to protect people against the threats that they are experiencing,” Tanden said.
Jewish groups want more action on antisemitism
But some Jewish groups are looking for more.
They want beefed up resources for the Department of Education’s office that investigates discrimination complaints, and they don’t want the office to wait until the complaints come to them.
They want the administration to regulate the definition of antisemitism. And they want one person put in charge of ensuring the antisemitism strategy is fully implemented.
“That would be an enormous help,” Ted Deutch, CEO of the American Jewish Committee, said of having a point person for the strategy. “I’ve raised this with the administration.”
He emphasized, however, that success is not just up to the White House.
“We need the rest of society to step up,” he said.
Antisemitism incidents on the rise
Incidents of antisemitism had already been on the rise before Hamas attacked Israel.
Antisemitic hate crimes rose 25% from 2021 to 2022, according to the most recent FBI statistics. Although Jewish people make up only 2.4% of the U.S. population, they are the targets of more than half of all reported religion-based hate crimes.
Since Oct. 7, the Anti-Defamation League, an advocacy group that frequently speaks out against antisemitism and extremism, has tracked 832 anti-Jewish acts in the United States.
Jewish students have borne the brunt of severe antisemitic incidents across the country, according to Jonathan Greenblatt, ADL’s CEO.
“We know that college campuses are a microcosm of the trends we're seeing globally,” he told Congress. “But they've also become petri dishes where antisemitism is festering and flourishing.”
Opinion At Cornell, how did the debate on the Israel-Hamas war nearly turn violent? | Mike Kelly
Complaints filed to Education Department's Office of Civil Rights
The Biden administration has responded in multiple ways, including reissuing guidance reminding schools that antisemitism is a violation of the Civil Rights Act. The Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights also updated its discrimination complaint form to make it clear that colleges, and universities and K-12 schools receiving federal funding must act if students are being targeted because they’re perceived to be Jewish, Muslim, Arab, Sikh, or any other ethnicity or shared ancestry. If they don’t, schools can lose federal funding or be referred to the Justice Department for further action.
The Education Department announced Thursday that five complaints have been filed this month alleging antisemitic harassment and two alleging anti-Muslim harassment.
"Hate has no place in our schools, period,” Education Secretary Miguel Cardona said.
The office received nearly 19,000 discrimination complaints in 2022 – an all-time high – but very few raised allegations of antisemitism. Only five had been made as the department neared the end of the 2023 fiscal year in September, the office told Rep. Kathy Manning, D-N.C.
“What's getting in the way of students filing?” Manning asked at a recent congressional hearing about antisemitism on campuses.
Kenneth Marcus, chairman of the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law, who headed the office during the Trump administration, said students may feel loyalty to their school, may not know about the complaint process or may not have confidence it will work. That’s why, he said, the office should not wait for complaints to be formally filed but should proactively start its own investigations.
“The federal government should take action,” he said. “And there’s no reason why it cannot do so within these next 30 days.”
The ADL is likewise calling on the Education Department to proactively investigate antisemitism allegations.
Complaints expected to rise
Three students at New York University aren’t waiting for that. They’re suing the university, arguing their civil rights have been violated because of pervasive acts of antisemitic hatred, discrimination, harassment and intimidation.
The university, which has called the lawsuit a “one-sided narrative,” recently announced it’s creating a Center for the Study of Antisemitism.
“I have listened to heartbreaking stories from students, faculty, parents, and alums,” New York University President Linda G. Mills said in a statement announcing the center. “NYU unequivocally condemns antisemitism and other forms of hate, and we are committed to maintaining a campus environment where all can study and learn in an atmosphere of respect and live free from the fear of bigotry.”
Stacy Burdett, an independent consultant who works with businesses, schools and others to counter antisemitism, said the most responsive universities get that this isn’t business as usual. They’ve increased security services, formed antisemitism task forces and repeatedly reminded students and faculty that antisemitism violates the university’s values.
But complaints to the Department of Education will rise and its Office of Civil Rights is not set equipped to handle the existing backlog, she said.
“The complaints that are going to be coming in are going to be real, they're going to be hard, and they are going to need investigative capacity,” she told a House Education subcommittee. “So, let's get busy. And let's put people in those chairs.”
'Climate of constant fear'
At Emory University, senior Morgan Ames said she “lives in a climate of constant fear.” While friends at other universities have been physically assaulted, Ames said, she feels like she’s fighting psychological warfare.
Posters put up to raise awareness of hostages taken by Hamas are defaced. Fliers circulated have compared Jews to Nazis, she said.
“These actions surpass mere vandalism. They are deliberate threats to Jewish student safety,” Ames told USA TODAY. “It’s not healthy discourse.”
Ames praised Emory’s president for condemning antisemitic phrases and slogans made at an October protest on campus. But, she said, after dozens of professors pushed back saying the protester’s chats were in support of Palestinians and not antisemitic, that “created an intimidating atmosphere and inhibits students’ ability to participate fully in the classroom.”
At Cornell, Dror said, the university’s statements condemning the threats to the Jewish community was one of the strongest she’s seen. Also, security was heightened at all Jewish facilities on campus. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul visited the kosher dining hall.
“And all of that support has gone sincerely appreciated by the Jewish community. My question is, why didn't we receive it right after the October 7 attacks?” she asked Congress. “We sincerely appreciate all of their help now, but it's too little too late.”

Hi Petri! 👋😊 I’m here to offer a distraction! (And cause I’m genuinely curious) Not to sound like an ignorant American 😬 but how did you learn English? Is it taught in schools in Italy? Like it’s just standard for people to be bilingual now? Or is it something you took extra classes for? Or did you grow up in an English speaking environment? How much English do you use in your daily life?
Ho imparato l’italiano all’università ma non lo uso tutti i giorni quindi l’ho dimenticato 😔
karen my love, first and foremost - thank you soo much for indulging me 🥰🥰🥰 the giffing process is kicking my ass right now so this is a breath of fresh air <33
i think i should immediately clarify - i am not italian! i'm assuming it's possible the misunderstanding happened because monica is? or maybe i said smth that could lead to that conclusion? anyways, i am eastern european and balkan, my first closer look at italian happened two days ago through a language learning app hahah
so, i don't know about italian schools, i would assume they also teach english just like ours do (i hope you forgive me trying to be vague about my nationality) but i cannot say with certainty. i've studied english all throughout school but i didn't become fluent because of it - most english classes in school are not nearly enough to make you good, whether it's the teachers or the study plans - it's just not it. this is why many of us were signed up for lessons as kids - i went to group lessons near school till the sixth grade. i took a pause because of school exams but never went back so all of my fluency now is a result of
1. english class in school
2. six years of private (group) english lessons (!!!)
3. all sorts of media - not only movies, music, books etc. the original language of which is english but also other foreign media in english -translated books, subtitled videos, explained lyrics (!!!)
4. talking to foreigners and friends in english
5. studying other languages through english - even while studying japanese in high school most if not all of our resources were in english, the sites we use, the textbooks - all of it (though there was this one textbook in vietnamese lol)
i'd say it's pretty standard for europeans to know english, a lot of us know three languages or more because they're close to ours. i personally don't but still, it is common. in school english was the basic foreign language and in middle school i chose russian as my second one. most people don't end up fluent in the language they choose in middle school (if they even choose any, you could do maths or smth else, i suppose schools are different) because we study it for three years only. i am not anywhere near fluent in russian lol
but language learning is a thing. my personal observations, though, are that people from my country aren't that good at english in general but maybe as a whole we're fine. a foreigner would make do around here especially speaking to younger people.
as for how much english i use - i use it daily lol, online i speak and read in english, the shows i watch are either in english or have english subtitles and i spend a lot of time on the computer. a lot of my personal vent monologues are in english (you know the ones where youre alone and decide its time to give a ted talk to no one in particular), even when i chat with irl friends we often use english because we're all fluent and we throw it in there, there's a lot of sentence frankensteining happening lol
thank you so much for asking!! if you have additional questions please hit me up, i am a yapper and you're giving me enrichment <33
also it's never too late to go back to italian you know 😗im just getting started and it's so interesting! (though confusing cause they also have gendered nouns but the genders don't match ours 😩lmao)

What made me smile this week?
Monday, 11/18/24 - today we're supposed to go to school but we're so worn out and I was exhausted from chemo we decided to take a day off we did this to be energized for the next four days and honestly just to have a break, we did enjoy our day off and we did hangout for the majority of the day we laughed and played pokemon games and then we kept having fun recreating audios or just making faces with the audios me and luz did that perfectly lol! We mainly had a blast, but sadly, we did have to do dishes because Dad wanted to make dinner, but that means that we don't have to do them on Tuesday! Which is normally our day! But we did have a great day, and it was a well-deserved day off. We'll be going to school tomorrow! But we did enjoy this day and it definitely made me smile!
Tuesday, 11/19/24 - today, we go back to school, and in the first period, I had to work on all the questions of the online assignment since last Friday, I spent the whole class working on the pulmonary function test lab, lol. Still, they were pretty easy. We just had to give detailed answers, so it took me an entire hour and more to complete all of those questions. Then, in the second period, we had a huge test! It had 31 questions and I spent maybe 30 minutes on the test probably even more but I do not know what grade I got because it didn't tell us I just realized I failed lol, but I got through with that and started working on my course reflection summary paper as that's due today at midnight, I got it done for the most part I just need to edit it and re-read it over and over lol, shortly after we headed to lunch where I had saw that there was a sign saying were temporarily out of lettuce meaning no salad but there were wraps and I thought why not give it a try so I did and there was my favorite ranch there “caesar dressing” and I ordered what I would normally on the salad but instead in a wrap and I ate it and it was actually really good! I liked how much chicken and toppings there were in the wrap, but it was extremely messy, lol! But I did enjoy it and it did fill me right up! Then in the third period, we watched the last 15-minute video we had watched on Monday while I was out and it was pretty interesting then we talked about fingerprints for a few and continued to another lab we had to do fingerprints and put hot glue and then water on one side of a petri dish (don't know what that was about?) but then we had to analyze the fingerprints of our classmates and see what fingerprint sample there's matched to, so we did that and it took the rest of the class and were still not done so that will definitely lead into Thursday lol, but then in the fourth period we had talked about toxic friendships and then watched a TED talk video and had a sheet to answer the questions and then we shortly moved on to another assignment which was based on more questions paired with an article. And then we got home, where unexpectedly I started my period, which is weird cause I thought I would've gotten it on the 24th. My body is weird like that, and yes, I chart this because I got to an endocrinologist, and I just find this easier. Then we played on Subway Surfers and Pokemon TGC Pocket and then we enjoyed some yummy Alfredo or at least Willam Donny and Sydney did later that night :) Today has made me smile!
Wednesday, 11/20/24 - today we woke up and I had just gotten dressed and chilled on Instagram for a few until we had to leave for the bus we had an unexpected rain shower that morning so we had to grab an umbrella quickly and it sucked lol we soon got on the bus and had to put the wet umbrella on the bus floor or hold it directly over the floor, then in the first period I had reviewed over some youtube descriptions to see if they needed shaping up then we had to start an assignment that required six sheets of papers for the different client clearance forms I guess ol just for PLTW and so as of currently Im updating weekly smiles off of my computer and then I, ll get started so to chart I got started at 9:06 AM now its 9:57 and I've gotten every paper done! Wow, I work fast, but now I just need to work on the questions, which might take a bit, but they are due Monday, so no worries! In the second period, I got a yummy chocolate oatmeal cookie and we began a worksheet and a puzzle, then the teacher started talking about crazy police reports she, 's been writing for 25 years, she talked about one where a husband and wife were playing around and then he took her 50$ bra and fried in a frying pan with chicken lol it was crazy and now we're just working and I continue to update weekly smiles then I done the ed puzzle and got a 56 since I was so confused lol and then I had watched a mole conversions video, now I have been working on completing very old notes from September and October roll and I started around 11:07 and worked all the way until 11:39 lol but I've made great progress and so far iv,e gotten to the seventh of October! During this period we had worked on the rest of our fingerprinting activity and I got that finished then I finished the two sets of notes required and surprisingly this is the most chill day in her class lol since for the past 30 minutes I got to chill then in fourth period we had talked over our 2.00 summary discussion paper and then we soon worked on as assignment where we had to create a fake scenario while drawing out the texts and then the good friend responding on the other side, we did another assignment that contained 11 questions, shortly after we left school and then we came home and we just had a fun time hanging out! And now we are chilling, editing, and playing video games lol, even though I should really be editing lol! But I eventually filmed my little heart out in two videos in one night! That's a lot of work for me, and so I edited them until 10:45 Pmm. And they are both ready to go. Please look out for those videos. Come both on Thursday!
Thursday, 11/21/24 - Hey everyone today is my wife's amazing anniversary! She has hit 9 months as a quadriplegic. I couldn't be more proud and amazed by her. I love you, baba! Moving on from the wonderful achievement I am on my 61st round of chemotherapy! And my video and my wife's video are coming out today! My wife is coming out at 7:00 Am, I believe, and mine is coming out at 3:15 P.m.! So please enjoy! Now, in the first period, I began working on 3.1.7, cleared to climb, and then sent photos to Donny, and now I am updating weekly smiles so far. I started the assignment at 8:20, and I'll update you all when I am done, lol! Now I'm finally done at 9:34! And now it's time to work on my chemistry paper, lol, and now I'm finished, so I've done a lot of work in one class, and now I'll try and update the descriptions for today's videos!
Friday, 11/22/24 - today I missed school because I had a random bout of diarrhea a headache, and a sore throat so I just enjoyed my day the best I could I sat and battled on Pokemon TGC, and then shortly after I had just watched things on my computer and then we filmed Lu,z story and how she transfers in and out of her wheelchair and we provided a way more in-depth video soon hours later Willam and Donny came home from school and told me about there day after that they hadgivene me a yummy chair coated in chocolate, and then we just enjoyed the rest of the night before the weekends! Today made me smile!
Saturday, 11/23/24 - today is the weekend! I woke up pretty late but we had just chilled in our blankets for a few and then we watched Instagram most of the time, shortly after we had noticed Ember our cousin was over at our house doing crafts for her fundraiser and then we got some yummy dunkin donuts and a drink from mom and then we done a video for her fundraiser just a short three-minute video and then we hanged out for a few and then we got McDonald's we got a big mack and fries and a dr pepper! It was good, and we enjoyed the meal. Then we just had a fun time playing with Snapchat filters and had a great time hanging out. We had done a swap wheelchair challenge for a day, and it had been pretty chill, lol. We had a fun time hanging out most of the day! Today was chill and it made me smile!
Sunday, 11/24/24 - today is our 1st wedding anniversary! We have officially been married for 1 year! And I wouldn't choose to spend this day with anyone else! I love you, Emmie. For our 1 year, we had woken up, and we just hung out, and then we posted several edits on our Instagram pages! Please check those out! Then we hung out for a while and then we heard our mom cussing and yelling because of a battery that went missing and now we are again sitting on our wedding anniversary with something going wrong don't get me wrong I love my wife and I'm happy it's our 1st wedding anniversary BUT I would much rather have a calm nice day with friends and my wife rather than anticipating when our moms next screaming episode are you know? And we're editing and hopefully that goes well! And we'll just cut to the chase! We had a good day. We enjoyed the rest of our afternoon, and it did make us smile! I love you baba 💓 Happy 1 year to us! Now the most important Question?!

SMART BOMB
The Completely Unnecessary News Analysis

TOP 10 THINGS NOT TO SAY TO A COP AT A RIOT
10 – Love your outfit, it really brings out your eyes.
9 – Does your mother know you're out late?
8 – Come on man, this is our class project for Poly Sci.
7 – I love it when you talk dirty.

4 – You know, they have a cure for bad breath.
3 – What's you're favorite position.
2 – Weren't you the guy who kissed Majorie Taylor Greene on the lips.
1 – And the worst thing to say to a cop at a riot: Is that a big stick or are you just glad to see me.
GOV. DeSANTIS BANS LAB MEAT, INTESTINAL FORTITUDE
“We will save our beef,” declared Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis regarding meat grown in laboratories. But saving face, well that's another story. In Florida they like to ban stuff — books, abortions, back bone. The petri dish beef ban comes on the heels of DeSantis' come-to-Jesus meeting with former President Donald Trump, where the governor demonstrated he still has a taste for buttocks — real buttocks, real big buttocks. DeSantis even told supporters he is willing to help fundraise for Trump, when he isn't busy kissing The Donald's hammies. “It’s true that Trump doesn’t forgive easily — but he does love when people show remorse for what he views as disloyalty,” said columnist Hayes Brown. “Especially when that groveling comes with dollar signs attached to it.” DeSantis joins a long list of Republicans who have surrendered to the “Man Who Would Be King:” Sens. Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Lindsey Graham, Tim Scott... the list goes on and on. Trump makes Republicans do what he wants by threatening and bullying, and those who cross him pay with humiliation — they must praise him as the Second Coming. The only defense is honesty and integrity — oops, looks like the Republicans banned that, too. Bummer.
BIDEN SHOULD SHOOT HIS DOG
If you've been hiding out at the animal shelter you may not know that Kristi Noem, the South Dakota governor who was on the short list to be Donald Trump's V.P., bragged in her new memoir, ”No Going Back,” that she shot her 14-month-old dog, Cricket, because he wasn't any good at pheasant hunting. He also killed some chickens. “I hated that dog,” she wrote. No Wilson, we are not making this up. She caught a bunch of grief from the liberal lame-stream media with such headlines as: “Noem shoots dog, commits political suicide.” Kinda catchy. So the ranch-girl governor doubled down on CBS's “Face the Nation,” saying President Joe Biden's dog should be shot, too, for biting Secret Service agents. He then could meet her puppy in Dog Heaven: “Commander, say hello to Cricket for me.” Haha. What a sense of humor. Some pundits suggest she included the ugly scene in her book to impress Trump with her toughness. Noem also noted putting down three horses, promising “more real, honest and politically incorrect stories that’ll have the media gasping.” Yes, Wilson, she got that part right. But the puppy-killer gambit may have backfired. Even MAGA celebs Don Jr. and Steve Bannon thought it was a little too base. Praise the lord and pass the ammunition
Post script — That's a wrap for another lovely week here at Smart Bomb where we keep track of who's using public restrooms so you don't have to. Under a new Utah law people can rat out anyone using a restroom that does not reflect their sex at birth (read trans people). They can report violations on the so-called “hotline complaint form.” Offenders could be charged with criminal trespass and fined $10,000 per violation. Continuing with the Big Brother theme: In a Time magazine interview, Donald Trump said he would not prevent states from passing and enforcing laws allowing monitoring of people's pregnancies to make sure no one gets an illegal abortion. The legislation would require pregnant women to submit to regular government exams. And you thought car inspections were intrusive. That brings us to “Abortion Tourism,” the cute expression coined by anti-abortion activists for women having to travel long distances to receive medical care — as if reproductive healthcare is some kind of a luxury vacation. Try and come up with a pithy punchline for that. Ugh.
Young people are protesting on college campuses across the nation. But the authorities don't like it. They say the First Amendment is sacred unless you've got tents. Cops in riot gear break up peaceful protests and say no fee speech when there's violence. So wake up the band, Wilson, and take us out with an anthem for the times:
Oh, where have you been, my blue-eyed son? And where have you been, my darling young one? I've stumbled on the side of twelve misty mountains I've walked and I've crawled on six crooked highways I've stepped in the middle of seven sad forests I've been out in front of a dozen dead oceans I've been ten thousand miles in the mouth of a graveyard And it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard, and it's a hard It's a hard rain's a-gonna fall
Oh, what did you meet, my blue-eyed son? Who did you meet, my darling young one? I met a young child beside a dead pony I met a white man who walked a black dog I met a young woman whose body was burning I met a young girl, she gave me a rainbow I met one man who was wounded in love I met another man who was wounded in hatred And it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard It's a hard rain's a-gonna fall
And what'll you do now, my blue-eyed son? And what'll you do now, my darling young one? I'm a-goin' back out 'fore the rain starts a-fallin' I'll walk to the depths of the deepest dark forest Where the people are many and their hands are all empty Where the pellets of poison are flooding their waters Where the home in the valley meets the damp dirty prison And the executioner's face is always well hidden And I'll tell and speak it and think it and breathe it And reflect from the mountain so all souls can see it And I'll stand on the ocean until I start sinkin' But I'll know my song well before I start singin' And it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard, and it's a hard It's a hard rain's a-gonna fall
(It's A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall — Bob Dylan)
