Equius/Tavros, because of a shared interest in animals, Tavros' need for confidence melding interestingly with Equius' thing for being ordered around, and the fact that Equius made legs for him though he didn't have to (the only other lowblood he helped was Aradia, and he was flushed for her, so...). I feel like there are other reasons but I can't remember I'm sorry.

also i have thought about the whole legs thing too -

because it seems that anthromorphic robotic limb/eye/muscle/organ/orifice replacements are fairly common in alternia- indeed, more than in postmodern earth. and trolls are distinctly opportunistic, so i cant imagine that this is cheap; even if it isn’t directly equated to currency, im sure most specialists would want something in exchange - a favor, protection, treasure, sex, etc.

and it struck me just the other day that it never mentions Equius asking for anything in exchange? like, we were just supposed to take it on faith. he’s the robot guy. of course he would. he’s here to fix the problem.

but that doesnt really line up with typical troll expectations of antagonism and opportunity, so it must be affection, compassion, or “pity,” that caused Equius to make legs for his friend.

and despite all the things equius has said against low bloods, he does seem remarkably attracted to them.

i think equitav isn’t really as cracky as it sounds, imo. i like this ship. uvu
