Bak: "Y-yeah, just... your timing is terrifying, man... alright... if that's the case, then I guess the Outcasts are with her?"

Tau: "Yep! We all met up with that odd guy that works for the ex-Council too, so I'm guessin' they're all goin' into the city to find a real good change of outfit and all that."

Bak: "Ok, great, but apparently there's a Water Clan presence-"

Tau: "Already takin' care o' that! I got my crew flying all over the place. Spotted 'em heading for Cypress not too long ago, no idea why, but there's nobody in the city that should be a problem."

Bak: "Alright. Let me take care of this Council nonsense and I'll meet you all... where exactly?"

Tau: "They're headin' for a pretty fancy shop in the "old town" area... y'know, the one that also deals with Guild uniform repairs?"

Bak: "Pau's dad's place...? (Pau's going to be there... oh boy...)"

Tau: "Yep!"

Bak: "(This better not go south...) I'll meet them there once I'm done with the Council."

Tau: "Gotcha, Tau, out!"

[[Some random things that came to mind at 1am that I wanna ramble about [Read-more'd it because I'm wordy...]:

This is like four huge separate plot points merged together for the sake of brevity: (Gil, Ayanna and Pau joining up with Fennel; Bak's talk with Bertrand; Coda telling Bak about Larry's side story; AND the Outcasts getting involved in some way).

If it feels... off in any way... that's likely why, I am sorry!

Next, the back thing going on with the "cameo gallery" in the background isn't some snide "carrying the team" joke, there's context there and after I abandoned the special ask event for Council Marta that involved the ex-Council Blastoise and her guardian Dewott, I'm debating on how to actually... present that... more to come... eventually;;

A thing to show how many OCs I have laying around:

This Panpour, Fennel, Bill, Venn and Saline were once protagonists in their own right, in their own story, and much of the orb tech, the dungeons that are "one floor" and way dungeon doors function-to some degree-are recycled concepts from their story-knowing me I probably tossed this fact into the tags at some point or something...

Kerri, Odell and Kayla share this trait too, this trio were protagonists in their own story, the only concept I sniped from it was something that'll be explored in @askextraparainspector whenever I get back over there... it's been on my mind lately, so...]]

Tau: Huuuh? Yer ma’ never told ya’? Well... I didn’t know him super well, but, he came off as, erm... awkward at first? He was a Central Isle ‘mon, ya’ know? They’re kinda... uptight sometimes.

Gil: Really?? So he wasn’t nice?

Tau: Naaw, he was super polite! Very professional! He joined a while before Bak did, I think...?

Bak: Oh yep! Clement and I came from the Xerneas Guild, though we never worked together.

Bean & Moe: Bak was part of the Xerneas Guild???

Bak: Oh yeah, I didn’t bring that up yet, hahah...

Pau: They both left for their own reasons... especially Clement, I believe... it’s probably not the best time to go too much into it.

Charissa: I believe that’s fair...

Ayanna: Hmm...

Tau: Well, anyway, I’m sure other guildmembers’ll wanna meet ya’ too, Gil! Everyone loved yer ma’ especially!

Tau: Thought so! We’re also too expensive for the average flight most times. Now, move yer butts! We’ve got two more that need to land!

Boule: Huh-oh-we should listen...!

Ayanna: You’re kidding me...

Tau: We need lots ‘o space to land, so move yer butts!!

William: Wait! How expensive is “too expensive”? Normal Sky Taxis are like 500-1000 PokeDollars-

Moe: Bak’s on his own?

Pau: There’s a valid reason for that.

Bak: The Frosty Gang and I have “history”... they really hate me, hah!

Bertrand: This is all based on the theory that the Frosty Gang will be actively getting in our way because they don’t understand what’s happening... but we also took into consideration that they may be aware of that creature, if not victims of it as well.

Bean: What.... happens if something goes wrong?

Pau: Assume it will go wrong, no matter what, the “Attack Team” must confront the shadow, the intention isn’t to defeat it in combat-at least not immediately-but to rescue any victims it has in its grasp, and regain the stolen artifacts from Yggdrasil.

Lance: The Council also wants that thing alive if Lars and his squad has any hope of being pardoned for attacking Felix and the theft in the first place.

Gil: They’re still blaming them for that??

Ayanna: ... It was a gamble...

Bak: If we play by their rules here, we’ll be able to lessen their “punishment” to a simple fine that’s easier to deal with than criminal accusations while, literally, possessed...

William: And what if this entire plan goes south?

Pau: That’s not an option-

Lance: Even though we’re not too familiar with the kid, Lars’ willingness to go along with the Council’s decisions-though trust me, they’re somewhat unreasonable-is inspiring! Can’t let someone like that go to the wayside!

Pau: ... Right, though, it’s safe to assume this creature will operate similar to the other one and go on this capturing attempt again, anyone who loses to it would be at risk of being targeted... We don’t know where exactly its going, but we can assume that wherever it intends to go, anyone with it won’t be coming back...

Everyone: ...

Lance: As such! The plan at current is for Pau and I to take it on directly, allowing the rest of the group to play support and rescue that creature’s hostages, helping them get to Bertrand’s team is very ideal. Ayanna  also taught herself a move that’ll make things easier for us as well, so she’s important to get to this fight!

Once we’re certain we’ve rescued everyone and recovered the stolen items, the goal is to subdue the creature. If things work out, it’ll be the seven of us with Bertrand’s squad as backup, while Bak and Charissa’s squad keep tabs on any interference, Wilds or Frosty in nature. Bertrand can also act as a communicator for us via telepathy, since Pins won’t work correctly and the range is pretty big, apparently.

Bak: I’ve also included an Evac-Orb and the beacon for it! There’s just enough links for it to connect with all of us, so we can evacuate from the dungeon and get back to Yggdrasil safely as quickly as possible.

Moe: You... set that up in Yggdrasil?

Athan: I wouldn’t trust it that far in the Skies...

Mystery: In the Skies, there are likely multiple teams using them at the same time, even if we synch up to ours, there’s so many of us using it at once that we might get separated to whatever the closest beacon is... or we’d get pulled apart-

Bean: What?!

Mystery: In Theory...!

Bak: I’ll be setting one up just outside of our landing zone, while extra orbs will be held onto by two other members to activate when things are under control: That’ll be myself, Moe and Moira, these things are pretty large, so bigger bags are important! Having multiple for any mission is ideal... in case things go... really bad.

Moira: ...!

Moe: Okay... but... to continue on from this... how exactly are we getting to this dungeon...?

Bak: Oh that! I have the perfect idea! Pau!

Pau: Xerneas Above...
