Enjoy a delicious twist on a classic meatball sandwich with these Parmesan Meatball Sandwiches. Tender meatballs made with ground beef and Parmesan cheese, baked to perfection and served on toasted hoagie rolls with marinara sauce and melted mozzarella cheese.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1/4 cup bread crumbs. 1/4 cup milk. 1 egg. 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 hoagie rolls. 1 cup marinara sauce. 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese.
Instructions: Preheat oven to 400F 200C. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, milk, egg, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through. While meatballs are baking, slice hoagie rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet. Spread marinara sauce on one side of each hoagie roll. Once meatballs are cooked, place them on the hoagie rolls and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese. Return sandwiches to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from oven, assemble sandwiches, and serve hot.
