Mother Ramchandi
Mother Ramchandi Ramchandi is a village in Gadmanati, 20 km from Khordha. Here, on a small hill about a kilometer away, the 70-foot-tall black Muguni Shila Maa Ramchandi is worshiped as a symbol. The rock has been lying on the opposite side for thousands of years. Legend has it that the mother was first worshiped by the Kandha community 1,600 years ago. Kandhajani is now worshiped with Brahmin worshipers. The worship of Kandhajani has been going on for a long time at Ramchandi in Gadmanati, Maninag in Ranpur, and at Khilamunda, Lodhachuadahikhai and Bhusandpur Taradevi Peeth. After climbing 42 steps below, the mother's rock fell. The mother is wearing a black sari and two lion figures on either side. Mom has a tamarind tree. There is a saying that as the tamarind tree grows, the length of the mother stone increases. Due to the difficulty of the worship process, the stone and tamarind trees were not allowed to grow due to Jani's prayers. There are Bhog Mandap, Dol Mandap, Yajna Mandap, a meeting room and a tiger ox memorial temple. Legend has it that the tiger oxen memorial temple once stopped the cultivation of bills after a tiger ate one of Kandhajani's bulls. Mother Ramchandi prayed. The next morning, at the mother's command, the servant took one of his oxen and plowed the yoke with the tiger there. That's why tiger bull memorial temples have bullocks on the left and tigers on the right. The mother rock has a cave or cave at the bottom left, called a tiger cave. The state government has been making it a tourist destination since the 16th.

Reconstruction Work of Mata Tara Devi Temple in Progress Tara Devi temple was built more than 2 and ½ centuries ago. According to the popular belief, the temple had its idol brought from Bengal. About a century ago, a descendent of the famous Sen Dyanstry of Bengal had come to this area. The family deity of the Sen Dynasty was brought by him as a small idol made of gold. There used to be a locket ornamenting the upper arm of the Raja and the idol was placed in it. About more than a century later, King Bhupendra Sen, the famous ruler of Bengal of the same dynasty had been enjoying hunting in Juggar Jungles near the temple. He dreamt of Goddess Tara along with Lord Hanuman and Bhairav, the gatekeepers of Ma Tara, while he was taking rest under a tree. Ma Tara wished to give darshan to the people of the locality so Raja had donated about 50 bighas of land at the same place. Then construction of a new temple was done with an idol of Ma Tara installed there. The idol was made of wood. In the later years, another descendent of the same dynasty, King Balbir Sen , got darshan of Ma Tara in dreams. She wished to be mounted on the Tara Parvat. One of the priests of Raja Balbir Sen, Bhawani Dutt had an idol of Ma Tara made of Ashtadhatu (8 metals). The idol was made by an artisan at Junga and an elephant named “Shankar” carried the idol. The idol was installed in the year 1825 at Tara Parvat. Every year on the Asthami Day during Navratri, present members of Sen Dynasty still worships Ma Tara, the family Goddess.
