Work in progress: "TAM 2C" over the platform of the (Thyssen Henschel TH 301 Medium Tank), TAMSE Tanque Argentino Mediano (translated in to English is “Argentine Medium Tank”) as modernization program of the Tanque Argentino Mediano (TAM) to the new technologic 2C standard, with the collaboration of the Israeli companies IMI and ELBIT, for the replacement of the hydraulic system of the turret by an all-electric system, as well as the installation of combat systems similar to those that equip the Merkava III and IV tanks in replacement of the original . Its equipment includes new systems for vision and all-weather shooting, IR and TV, together with passive self-defense systems and state-of-the-art communications, including radar and laser alert, datalink and an auxiliary power unit of national origin, developed by the InnovaJelk rionegrina company. With new: FCS (Fire Control System);CPS (Commander Pannoramic Sight);DTU (Driver Thermal View); EGTDS (Electronic Gun and Tourret Drive System);TDS (THREAL Detection System);un TSS (Thermal Shroud System);BMS (Batell Management System);VIC (Vehicular Intercomunication System); NFS (North Finding System) & MSM (Anemometer MET Systems).

Another day of Gamescom brings ups new and exciting Tier 4-6 vehicles starting with the Char 25t; 

Armed with the DCA 45 90mm cannon, the Char 25t is a mobile light tank with speeds up to 40 mph. With armor of 50mm and a battle rating of 6.7 you need to use shoot and scoot tactics to succeed with this vehicle. 

Next up is the new Russian top tier MBT.

10.0 is the name of the game, with opponents such as the M1 Abrams, Leopard 2A4 and Type 90; the T-80B is a strong competitor with the ability to mount Contact-5, shoot newer APFSDS rounds with over 470mm of penetration and  9K112 Kobra ATGMs, from it’s 125mm smooth-bore gun. The T-80B will fit nicely into the top tier meta. 

The Germans haven’t been left out either with their new light tank. 

In the 1970s the Argentinians were looking to replace thier older tanks with soemthing new, the result was the TAM which is short for Tanque Argentino Mediano or Argentine Medium tank. the TAM boasts the Argentinian equivalent of the British L7 while being based on the Marder APC. The TAM will find it’s self around the BR of 7.7 to 8.7

Last but not least the USA bolsters it’s Anti Air Capabilities. 

Although not fitting the bill for the DIVAD project in the 70s, the M247 Sargent York brought multiple new and exciting features to the table. Based on the M48 Medium Tank and having the same twin 40mm armament as the M19/M42 but twice the fire rate and radio fuse air burst muntions; at 8.0 the M247 will be terror for any low flying aircraft.

The Target is an IL-2 which actually has armor unlike most aircraft.

The Tanque Argentino Mediano (TAM; English: Argentine Medium Tank) is a medium tank in service with the Argentine Army. Lacking the experience and resources to design a tank, the Argentine Ministry of Defense contracted German company Thyssen-Henschel. The vehicle was developed by a German and Argentine team of engineers, and was based on the German Marder infantry fighting vehicle chassis.

The TAM met the Argentine Army's requirement for a modern, lightweight and fast tank with a low silhouette and sufficient firepower to defeat contemporary armored threats. Development began in 1974 and resulted in the construction of three prototypes by early 1977 and full-scale production by 1979. Assembly took place at the local 9,600-square-meter (103,000 sq ft) TAMSE plant, founded for the purpose by the Argentine government. Economic difficulties halted production in 1983, but manufacturing began anew in 1994 until the army's order of 200 tanks was fulfilled.

The TAM series includes seven different variants, such as a 155 mm (6.1-inch) self-propelled howitzer and a mortar carrier vehicle. In total, over 280 such vehicles were built, including armored personnel carriers, artillery and mortar pieces. The TAM and VCTP (Infantry Fighting Vehicles based on the TAM chassis) were manufactured for the Peruvian Army, only to be integrated into the Argentine Army when Peru canceled the contract. The TAM also competed for other export orders, but the TAM was ultimately not exported.

The TAM has never seen combat, although 17 VCTPs were deployed to Croatia for the United Nations UNPROFOR peacekeeping mission.
