Lernen wir die Darsteller kennen!
Since we're officially here, let's meet the cast!
First up, Julius Gormley! Julius is a 14 year old ambivert from the tucked-away town on Hillside, Germany. He enjoys sword-fighting, plays, and scheming! But no matter what, he's ALWAYS up for a new adventure. Weapon of choice: "I like a good stick, a good stick can always get the job done... unless it's a big branch, one where I can sharpen the little branches growing off of it and make a barbarian club! Yeah... those are cool." Fun Fact: Julius has INSANE reflexes, he'll never miss something coming!
Tumblr media
Make way for Tamzin Osgood! (Or Tammy for short) This 16 year old fierce and brave girl from the "Red Brick Road" town of Stillman, Wales won't let anything get in her way! She has a nick for plants and kicking butt! Weapon of choice: "Don't make fun of me, but when I was younger I kicked a football at a stop sign and somehow knocked it down. I keep it in my room now as a trophy of my "immaculate strength", as my mum calls it. If I were to go on any adventure, I would without a doubt take it." Fun Fact: Tammy is a pro at lock picking! Give her some scraps, and you'll be in or out in a jiffy!
Tumblr media
You can't get more brainy than Madison D'Élise! (Or Madi for short) From the former bomb range that flourished into the beautiful town of Parrish #26, France, this 10 year old is a scientist in the making! Her inventions will surely come in handy! ...Hopefully...? Madi loves stuffed animals and robots. Weapon of choice: "Ollie Créon in the 8th grade gave me his Neft Gun when he left to go to highschool, he even gave me all his darts! I have so many I don't think I could ever run out... If I was ever in danger, I would save the day with my trusty Neft Gun!" Fun Fact: Madi's dads said no to a cat, so instead she made herself a robot capybara! She's got a friend in everything!
Tumblr media
Nobody knows where he or his fashion sense came from, but Karl has made a home in the "Never-Ending" rainy town of Belmontus, Russia. Having a sort of 6th sense for time itself, Karl's a bit mysterious all around... Not to fret! He's a very trustworthy companion, one who's always up to learn more and more! Weapon of choice: "It's constantly raining over here, so I always carry an umbrella with me. It's been the same one for years now, I can't imagine parting with it..." Fun Fact: Karl has an ick for the economics industry, so he always shops for clothes at the local thrift shop. ...Maybe it's time for him to change his mind...
Tumblr media
Watch out, its Amélie Lindgren! (Or Amy for short) With traveling parents from Vietnam and Scotland, 14 year old Amy finds herself jumping from place to place often. But for now, she's cozy in the dual-divided town of Buttonwood, Scotland. She likes fueling arguments and is a mastermind manipulator... yikes! Weapon of choice: "I hate most people, they're annoying and gross. I would 100% take my bow on any sort of quest, eliminate the oppositions from a distance!" Fun Fact: Amy is trilingual! She learned French and English from her parents, and German from her time spent in Hillside!
Tumblr media
There's more to show, but we're saving that for a later time.
Development is going smoothly, hopefully we will see you guys again in no time!

Mira Sorvino
Mira Katherine Sorvino  born September 28, 1967) is an American actress. She won the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as a hooker with a heart of gold in Woody Allen's Mighty Aphrodite (1995).
She also starred in the films Romy and Michele's High School Reunion (1997), Mimic (1997), Lulu on the Bridge (1998), The Replacement Killers (1998), Summer of Sam (1999), and Like Dandelion Dust (2009). She received Golden Globe and Emmy nominations for her role in Norma Jean & Marilyn (1996), and a Golden Globe nomination for her role in Human Trafficking (2005).
Sorvino's first major screen appearance was in the teen television series Swans Crossing, on which she appeared in six episodes. When the 1993 film Amongst Friends entered preproduction, she was hired as third assistant director, then was promoted to casting director, then to assistant producer, and was finally offered a lead role. Positive reviews led to other acting opportunities.
After small roles in Robert Redford's Quiz Show and Whit Stillman's Barcelona, she was cast in the 1995 Woody Allen film Mighty Aphrodite. Her portrayal of a happy-go-lucky prostitute made her a star, winning her an Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. While the film garnered Sorvino international notoriety, she described the shooting of the film as extremely stressful: "I was absolutely neurotic doing Mighty Aphrodite," she recalled. "Every night brought a new nervous breakdown. I'd cry and talk to God, I was so nervous. Then the next day, I'd show up and do my scenes."
Other credits include Romy and Michele's High School Reunion with Lisa Kudrow, At First Sight with Val Kilmer, and Summer of Sam from Spike Lee. She portrayed Marilyn Monroe for the 1996 HBO film Norma Jean & Marilyn, for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe, and the lead role in the 1997 horror movie Mimic from Guillermo del Toro. In 1995, she portrayed Conchita Closson in the BBC miniseries The Buccaneers based on Edith Wharton's last novel. She starred as Daisy Buchanan in the 2000 television film The Great Gatsby.
In 2002, Sorvino appeared as the lead in The Triumph of Love, an adaptation of the 1732 Marivaux play. In 2006, she received a Golden Globe nomination for her role as an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent in the Lifetime film Human Trafficking. The following year, she had a supporting role in the drama Reservation Road (2007), with Mark Ruffalo.
In February 2008, she guest-starred in the "Frozen" episode of the medical television drama House. Making her character, psychiatrist Cate Milton, a recurring character, was mentioned, but the writers' strike put a freeze on such discussions.
She starred in Attack on Leningrad (2009), Multiple Sarcasms (2010) with Timothy Hutton and Stockard Channing, and Nancy Savoca's Union Square (2012), with Patti Lupone and Tammy Blanchard. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival to good reviews. In the same year, Sorvino played the mother of the lead in the film adaptation of Wendy Mass’s popular children’s book Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life.
In 2014, she reappeared as Head Detective Betsy Brannigan on the final season of Psych, and on the fourth season of Falling Skies as John Pope's love interest, Sara.[20] Sorvino also joined the cast of the television series Intruders, playing the role of Amy Whelan. In 2016, she appeared in the Netflix series Lady Dynamite as an actor working on a sitcom pilot named White Trash

‘The Walking Dead’ Season 9 Cast Spoilers
Tonight is the premiere of Season 9 of The Walking Dead. AMC has fans on edge, with trailer after trailer promoting “Rick’s last episodes.” But just what is going to happen and when? Is the show going to jump ahead in time? Will Negan still be around? Fans want to know what’s going to happen next. And here’s what we know so far about the cast for Season 9. THIS IS YOUR SPOILER WARNING. Do NOT continue reading if you don’t want to know any information about the new season. This post will include spoilers about the cast all the way through Season 8.
Many new characters are joining the cast for Season 9. Here’s who is rumored to be returning and who is known to be coming back. The season will begin with the show jumping ahead in time 18 months. But a second time jump is rumored to happen again around Episode 6, and this one will likely involve a greater period of time.
The opening credits tell us some of the main characters we’ll be seeing, including Andrew Lincoln (Rick), Norman Reedus (Daryl), Lauren Cohan (Maggie), Danai Gurira (Michonne), Melissa McBride (Carol), Alanna Masterson (Tara), Josh McDermitt (Eugene), Christian Serratos (Rosita), Seth Gilliam (Gabriel), Ross Marquand (Aaron), Katelyn Nacon (Enid), Tom Payne (Jesus), and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan). And of course, Khary Payton returns as Ezekiel.
These next actors and characters are rumored or confirmed to be new to the cast:
Hershel Rhee (portrayed by Peyton Lockridge) — Hershel is Maggie’s baby boy, appearing for the first time in Season 9 Episode 1.

— ComicBook NOW! (@ComicBookNOW) August 6, 2018
Magna (played by Nadia Hilker) — She is rumored to be appearing in Episode 6 this season, after a second time jump. She’s liksted on IMDB for at least nine episodes. You may remember her from her role as Luna on The 100, most recently.

Yumiko (played by Eleanor Matsura) — She is rumored to be appearing in Episode 6, after a second time jump, and is listed for at least 9 episodes on IMDB. She has numerous credits, including the post-apocalyptic show Into the Badlands (Baron Chau), Shetland, Wonder Woman, Sherlock, Cuffs (PC Donna Prager), Da Vinci’s Demons (Madame Singh), Residue, and more.

Luke (played by Dan Fogler) — He is rumored to be appearing in Episode 6, after the second time jump. IMDB has him listed for numerous episodes this season. The actor has a lot of credits in the past, including The Goldbergs, Sharknado 5, Fantastic Beasts, Secrets and Lies, Hannibal, and more.

Connie (played by Lauren Ridloff) — Rumored to appear in Episode 6 after the second time jump. She’s not listed on IMDB but she’s been reported in news coverage.
Tony Nominee Lauren Ridloff Joins “The Walking Dead” as Comic Book Character Connie https://t.co/vC43kX65Dg
— Bloody Disgusting 🎃 (@BDisgusting) July 16, 2018
Marco (played by Gustavo Gomez) – The long-haired guy who is Ken’s friend and one of the younger members of the DC supply run. He was recently on Chicago PD, La Quinceanera, Day 5, American Crime, and more.

— Glenn Rhee (@pqpglenn) July 19, 2018
Ken — A guy in a blue shirt who is part of a premiere DC supply run and plays a pivotal role in the episode.
Earl (played by John Finn) — He is the Hilltop blacksmith who is seen with his hands tied up in the trailer. Spoilers indicate that he tried to attack Maggie, and Ken is his son. He’s married to Tammy. The actor is very well known, with his credits including Glory, Blown Away, Catch Me If You Can, NCIS (Charles T. Ellison), The Blacklist, Madame Secretary, Believe, Homeland, Suits, Cold Case (John Stillman), Dawson’s Creek (John Witter), and more.
TV News: Brett Butler and John Finn join THE WALKING DEAD.https://t.co/Knvxn9n8pl pic.twitter.com/JOLffFLRRE
— STARBURST Magazine (@STARBURST_MAG) September 5, 2018
Tammy Rose (played by Brett Butler) — Earl’s wife and Ken’s mom. There are rumors that she might die, based on what happened in the comics. But it’s unclear what will actually happen to this character on the show.
Tammy Rose was first introduced in the comics in Issue 135. She lives on Hilltop with her husband and son (named Morton and Brandon in the comics.) In the comics, Carl played a big role and nearly beat her son and friend to death while protecting Sophia, so it’s unclear how her character will play out in the show.
Brett Butler is well known for roles including Grace Under Fire, The Comedian, How to Get Away with Murder, Anger Management, The Young and the Restless (Beth), and more.
Justin (played by Zach McGowan) — A hostile Savior. In the trailer, he’s seen arguing with Daryl and being knocked over a bridge by Henry. There is speculation that he may be a major antagonist, at least for part of the season. I have to believe this speculation is true. We see him at the very beginning of Episode 1 of Season 9 in a seemingly innocuous role. But considering the actor’s past on shows like The 100, Black Sails, and Agents of Shield, he will likely have a really big role on The Walking Dead in the future.
Don’t miss @Zach_McGowan on The Walking Dead premiere this Sunday night as Justin! Would love to see him kick some a##! 😍😍😍 #zachmcgowan #TheWalkingDead #twd #whisperer #justin pic.twitter.com/AQHtdufAMf
— ZachMcGowanFanClub🔥🔥🔥 (@ZMcGowanFanClub) October 5, 2018
Jed (played by Rhys Coiro) — Another rebellious Savior who is seen in the trailer being menacing toward Carol and fighting with Aaron on a bridge. He may be a main antagonist for the first part of the season. Coiro’s many credits include  Entourage, Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G., Ray Donovan, Graceland, and more.
Alpha (played by Samantha Morton) — She is going to be the next major antagonist and is speculated to be appearing in Season 9 Episode 8. But The Whisperers themselves are supposed to be appearing for the first time in Episode 6 after the second time jump. So she’ll be the major antagonist of the second half of the season, most likely. Morton’s past credits include Harlots (Margaret Wells), Rillington Place, Fantastic Beasts, The Last Panthers, Max & Ruby, and much more.

— Heroic Hollywood (@heroichollywood) July 21, 2018
Lydia (played by Cassady McClincy) — Alpha’s daughter, who is rumored to be having a tryst of sorts with Henry. McClincy’s credits include Castle Rock (young Molly Strand), The Visitor, Daytime Divas, Ozark, and more.
Cassady McClincy deve interpretar Lydia em The Walking Dead https://t.co/vBv4Fghrml pic.twitter.com/x6sJUsCsPQ
— #NerdBunker (@Nerdbunker) August 26, 2018
Beta (played by Ryan Hurst) — He is the second in command of the Whisperers and is confirmed to be part of the new season, appearing in 16 episodes. Hurst’s previous credits include Outsiders, Bates Motel, Axe Cop, Sons of Anarchy (Harry “Opie” Winston), Wanted, and much more.

— Entertainment Weekly (@EW) August 27, 2018
A Dog! Yes, Season 9 is adding a dog to the cast. He’s seen in some leaked set photos and is going to be Daryl’s companion. This is great news, and we hope he survives for a long time.
The Spoiling Dead Fans (TSDF) and Angel Theory (Kelly), who are known for releasing reliable spoilers about The Walking Dead, have also indicated the following rumors.
Older Judith or Gracie (Cailey Fleming) — She’s rumored to be portraying one of these two characters. TSDF noted that Angel had asked Cailey if she was practicing her sign language when they were talking in a live chat about The Walking Dead filming.
Older Judith or Gracie (Raegan Millican) — This is another rumor, based on Millican following cast and crew who are following her back.
Of course, all the fan favorites and characters from last season who didn’t die will be back, with a few changes. Daryl, Maggie, Carol, Ezekiel, Rick, Michonne  — everyone’s returning. But here are some changes you’ll notice.
Henry (now played by Matt Lintz) — Yes, Henry is being recast. He’s not listed on IMDB, but he is on the Walking Dead Wikia. He’s actually taking over the role from his younger brother, Macsen Lintz. (And his older sister, Madison Lintz, portrayed Sophia, Carol’s daughter.) Lintz was born in 2001 and he’s currently 17, so that’s a pretty big age jump for Henry.
Jadis and Alden are both rumored to have bigger roles this season, Fansided reported. Jadis, the former leader of the scavengers, and Alden, a former Savior who became loyal to Maggie on the Hilltop, will be among the more prominent characters in the new season.
If you recall, Jadis (played by Pollyana McIntosh) accepted Morgan’s invitation to join up with Rick and company when Season 8 ended, just before Morgan left for Fear the Walking Dead. She has even returned to using the name “Anne” rather than Jadis. But there’s still a lot to learn about her. For example, who is behind the helicopter group that she was connected to? Is it the Commonwealth? You’ll notice right away that she’s very different. She has a new haircut and has dropped that strange accent that she used to use, now seemingly completely normal and talking about her life before the apocalypse.
Callan McAuliffe e Avi Nash, Alden e Siddiq respectivamente, são promovidos ao elenco regular da 9ª temporada de The Walking Dead https://t.co/8RPdFIEAIO pic.twitter.com/fBJXTG6OV6
— omelete (@omelete) May 7, 2018
And Alden, played by Callan McAuliffe, has been promoted to a series regular for Season 9. He has gone from the outsider Savior to a trusted member of The Hilltop who is loyal to Maggie.
Avi Nash, who plays Siddiq, has also been promoted to a series regular. He was the man that Carl gave his life to help.

Top 10 Movies of 2016
I wrote about my favorites in movies and TV over at Decider last week, but here’s my straight-up Top 10 movies of the year. With apologies to movies I haven’t gotten to yet, most prominently Toni Erdmann, Fire at Sea, Aquarius, and The Love Witch. Also I ranked O.J.: Made in America as my #1 TV show of the year, so it felt redundant to put it here too. No judgments if you ranked it as a movie. Obviously.
Runners-Up: I thought this turned out to be a GREAT year for movies, best exemplified by the fact that I had a bitch of a time keeping these 15 movies out of my top 10:
#25 The Lobster (director: Yorgos Lanthimos) #24 The Witch (director: Robert Eggers) #23 Kubo and the Two Strings (director: Travis Knight) #22 Everybody Wants Some!! (director: Richard Linklater) #21 La La Land (director: Damien Chazelle) #20 Hunt for the Wilderpeople (director: Taika Waititi) #19 Love & Friendship (director: Whit Stillman) #18 Sing Street (director: John Carney) #17 Lion (director: Garth Davis) #16 Other People (director: Chris Kelly) #15 Fences (director: Denzel Washington) #14 Julieta (director: Pedro Almodovar) #13 Certain Women (director: Kelly Reichardt) #12 Cameraperson (director: Kirsten Johnson) #11 Mountains May Depart (director: Zhangke Jia)
My Top 10 Movies of 2016
10. Jackie (director: Pablo Larrain) It took me a while to get into the headspace of Jackie, and what a strange little animal it seemed then. Natalie Portman's accent seemed insane, the scenes felt overly gauzy and frustratingly vague, the score felt overworked. But the more time I spent with Jackie, the more intoxicated I was by whatever fog the movie exists in. Portman's performance clicked, the specificity of Larrain's focus felt more and more revolutionary, and the whole enterprise felt an exhilarating experiment on memory, idolatry, and the spaces at which our politics and our myth-making converge. 9. The Invitation (director: Karyn Kusama) I write a lot about movies on Netflix for my job, but by FAR my favorite discovery of the year was the meticulously built suspense of The Invitation. From the opening credits winding ominously through the Hollywood Hills to the slowly dawning terror of the final moments, I haven't felt this tense through the entire run of a horror movie since The Strangers. Featuring some great performances (in particular Tammy Blanchard, Logan Marshall Green, and John Carroll Lynch), and a premise that draws upon every time someone at a party told you they just started seeing a new yoga instructor.
8. Silence (director: Martin Scorsese) A nearly three-hour, racially dubious meditation on faith from a director who's provided me with more peer-pressure guilt trips from film critics than actual movies I've enjoyed over the last decade was not adding up to something I figured I'd enjoy. But Silence is more than just the best Scorsese movie since ... The Aviator? Goodfellas? It's a committed, rigorous, and deceptively complex story about faith and imperialism, anchored by an Andrew Garfield performance of such thoughtful vulnerability that it makes you incredibly grateful that Marty took a break from Leonardo DiCaprio. Also Rodrigo Prieto's cinematography is breathtaking.
7. Hail, Casear! (director: Joel and Ethan Coen) I like when the Coens are having fun. I know the knock on them is that they're supposed to be looking down their noses on their audience and having a laugh at their expense, but all I found in Hail Caesar! was an affection for people who dedicate their lives to something as silly and often contradictory as the movie business. Josh Brolin is probably doing better work than I give him credit for at the center, but I won't apologize for all of my attention going to Channing Tatum's dancing and Alden Ehrenreich's rope tricks.
6. Manchester by the Sea (director: Kenneth Lonergan) When the narrative about this one got boiled down to a) it's unspeakably sad, and b) it's white-male feeeeeelings pornography, I was confused. Well, maybe not confused; I know how Twitter works. More dismayed. To me, Manchester by the Sea is Kenneth Lonergan at his finest, and that means so much more than simple grief or patriarchy or for Pete's sake "Oscar bait." Lonergan infuses his movie with so much more humor, so much more complexity, so much more recognizable feeling than you're expecting by the description. The relationship between Casey Affleck and Lucas Hedges's characters defies any kind of prescribed arc, instead presenting two characters who fit at impossibly odd angles.
5. Little Men (director: Ira Sachs) Ira Sachs has become so good at making movies about how the Big Things in life — love, family, fellowship, generosity, power, resentment — are inextricable from the small things. In the movies, we tend to gloss over things like rent or income or expense. Making it work is a matter of will or serendipity, usually both. In Little Men, Greg Kinnear and Paulina Garcia are good people whose resentments would usually be overcome in a movie by a grand act of love or charity or luck. Sachs knows better, but he also knows that the sum of life and the beauty of lives isn't about it all working out. And that's only the groundwork in this lovely movie featuring a central friendship of boys that is as beautiful, sweet, and gently painful as anything this year.
4. Moonlight (director: Barry Jenkins) Moonlight features such strong, simple storytelling, and that economy of language is all Barry Jenkins, and he deserves all the praise he's getting for it. But that's not the reason we're talking about this movie. There's something truly remarkable when strong filmmaking meets revelatory acting meets the kinds of stories and lives that we are STARVING for. There's sadness here, yes, and tragedy, but I can't help but feel an undercurrent of celebration just for the radical act of making poetry out of lives that are usually not even afforded prose.
3. 20th Century Women (director: Mike Mills) What a difference it makes listening to Annette Bening narrate about the universe and mortality versus listening to Ewan McGregor talk about same. I could never latch onto Beginners, despite the fact that its subject matter was targeted right in my general direction. But in his follow-up, Mike Mills had me cast under a spell from moment one. Bening is superb, playing a woman who's both incredibly wise and incredibly aware of how much she doesn't know. Any shot of her silently reacting to another character is to be treasured forever. And my darling Greta Gerwig does such wonderful, beautiful work as a scene partner here, taking her moments when they come but also as supportive an ensemble player as she's ever been. But it's those moments of narration, where the plot of the movie gives way to the longview, and we get to ponder a bit about the long arcs of time, and it was so beautiful, I nearly melted into my seat.
2. American Honey (director: Andrea Arnold) Andrea Arnold's great big American road trip is sprawling and sweet, dangerous and and desirous. It doesn't work for everyone, and I think I get that. But even if Arnold isn't seeing America through a photorealistic lens, the version of America she's showing us feels true in its emotions and textures and jealousies and desperations and explorations. Sasha Lane, Shia LaBeouf, and Riley Keough are standouts in the cast, but the movie truly comes alive in the group scenes, where the energy of a whole generation explodes into something visceral and charged.
1. Arrival (director: Denis Villeneuve) I first saw Arrival at the Toronto Film Festival in September, and I was blown away by its emotion and intelligence in service of a sci-fi story that became a story about language and bridging unbridgeable gaps. I next saw Arrival a few days after the election, when the film's ideas about facing fearsome and unknown futures and seeing the end from the beginning were all the more moving. What's beautiful about Arrival — besides the photography and the music and Amy Adams — is how our only salvation grows out of achieving complete and total empathy and nothing less. Thats what unlocks everything. It's a beautiful message in a movie that might normally have merely been an exquisitely crafted, deeply emotional sci-fi tale. I didn't see anything else that year that blew me away so thoroughly.

The Complete Detail Of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011) Name Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011) Storyline In the fourth installment of the Mission Impossible series, Ethan Hunt and a new team race against time to track down Hendricks, a dangerous terrorist who has gained access to Russian nuclear launch codes and is planning a strike on the United States. An attempt by the team to stop him at the Kremlin ends in a disaster, with an explosion causing severe damage to the Kremlin and the IMF being implicated in the bombing, forcing the President to invoke Ghost Protocol, under which the IMF is disavowed, and will be offered no help or backup in any form. Undaunted, Ethan and his team chase Hendricks to Dubai, and from there to Mumbai, but several spectacular action sequences later, they might still be too late to stop a disaster.
