Hi! Sorry for answering late :) I listen to anything from pop to hip-hop to literally every genre lol. I don't have specifics, but my major languages include Tamil and English. I also listen to a handful of kpop songs, my favourite group being stray kids :D

There's something incredibly raw and beautiful about the lines,

I think it stuck out to me because I saw some advice in a video or article about how your lips should be kept nice and soft for good kissing. Meanwhile, this line is just romanticising a woman's dry lips. I'm not saying that you shouldn't drink a lot of water to be healthy, and have soft lips. But it's also nice to see very real features which are often treated as imperfections, sometimes be romanticised in romantic songs.

Would anyone else say that Rum Bum Bum Aaarambum (from Michael Madhana Kama Rajan, by Ilaiyaraaja ) would fit into the Rockabilly genre? It reminded me of Jailhouse Rock (Elvis Presley) and Roller Skating's My Jam (from Care Bears Unlock the Music though of course that one has more '80's synth and EDM influences as well! The chorus - "ro-o-o-o-roller skating's my jam!" mainly strikes me as similar to Rum Bum Bum Aarambum) which fit into that genre or similar.
