Futaba Takemoto-Mashita hadn’t wanted much from life for a long, long time.

She can’t say with certainty what the real Futaba would have wanted had she lived long enough to decide, but she’s confident she would have thought of something. That Futaba was vivacious, confident, full of willpower and energy, and that Futaba was never her. They shared a face and a name and a voice, but the Futaba of today was never so lively or sure of herself as the girl she was supposed to be had been. She simply did what she felt she was meant to - she didn’t have any particularly strong desires or likes or dislikes, and while she may have felt that something was off, she saw no need to step outside of the well-kept bubble of familiarity she’d built over the years. No matter how uncomfortable things got, she could easily fall into a comfortable enough routine, and for nearly a decade, that was fine with her. 

But she’d met people here that changed that, and Jinpachi Otsuka - or Juzo Miyazaki, rather - was one of them. 

“Now you have two hands to watch out for, Hanji-kun!”

“What tHE AAGH– I can’t believe you’d turn on me– when were ya on Ozu’s side?!" 

”… We are both devils. I’m simply fostering team spirit.“

Frankly, there were few people she felt strongly for at all for a good while. Before she’d grown into herself, her family were the only people she knew how to love. Everyone outside of that was simply an acquaintance, a peer, a coworker. She had no attachments to anyone aside from those she was made to have an attachment to, and she rarely saw most of them anyway. She wasn’t entirely alone, but considering her circumstances, she may as well have been.

She can’t recall when it was she began to care so deeply for Juzo. Maybe there was an inkling of that big sister instinct when Aldie had hunted them down on the beach, or maybe it was there when they’d first arrived on the airship and he’d shared his worries with her. Maybe it was when she agreed to join him on the ferris wheel even though she’s terrified of heights, or when they’d ditched the minigame at the amusement park to play Candyland with Hanji and Spud (and teamed up to bully the former), or when he helped her get ready for the gala and they gossiped about the motive and their own small secrets. Maybe it was when she said he could call her by her first name, or when they talked about what they wanted to do with their lives in the future, or when he’d still treated her exactly the same after they all found out what she was. Maybe it was when they shared their insecurities with one another, or when he asked to call her onee-chan, or when they’d simply rummaged through the old convenience store in the abandoned village together. Maybe it was some small moment they’d shared that she wouldn’t have even thought twice about, or maybe it was everything - all the big and little bits of time they’d spent together - that set in stone who Juzo was to her.

"I mean…if you don’t want them to be your family then…you really get to choose your own family.”

“… I’m not certain what I want them to be, and vice versa. I think… that will take quite a lot of talking between us to figure out. But I don’t think that bars me from choosing who I’d consider family, either.”

They’d talked briefly about family, and about how nothing could really stop them from picking their own. To Futaba, that’s what Juzo was - he was family, a little brother that entered her life far later than she would have wanted.

And from the look of things, he’d be leaving it far sooner than she would have wanted, too.

Actually wanting anything was new to her, but Juzo was someone who taught her how to want. And at the moment the blade that once belonged to Juzo skewers his chest, Futaba wants nothing more than to cut down the man that took his love for granted. She wants him to hurt - genuinely, not the sort of “overwhelming despair” he’s searching for. She wants him to suffer. She wants everything he’s ever hoped for to crumble beneath his feet, and she wants it to matter.

Because all that ever mattered to her was seeing Juzo happy.

She wanted to protect him, make sure he was safe, make sure nothing could hurt him anymore.

She wanted him to find some way to lead a normal, peaceful life like he’d wanted.

She wanted to get away from everything with him and Hanji.

She wanted him to have a chance to ask Hanji about an apprenticeship, and if that didn’t work out, she wanted him to follow whatever path he felt fit. Maybe he’d become some sort of builder.

She wanted to see the sort of person he’d grow into.

She wanted him to be there when she grew, too.

But she wouldn’t be getting what she wanted now, and she was going to make sure Jinpachi wouldn’t either. 

So, even though there’s a horrible storm of anger and misery and grief threatening to take her over, Futaba doesn’t let herself falter. She can’t, not when there are so many lives on the line, and especially not when she’s positive it would make Jinpachi’s day to see her break. At the very least, she’d much rather find a way to break him first. 

She’s quiet for a long while, calming herself enough to speak once she’s finally found the words to do so.

“… How annoying. Are you done with the dramatics?”

She briefly wonders if he was this grating at Happy Smiles. He must have been.

“There isn’t much I can say that hasn’t already been said… but to be clear, there’s not a word I’ve heard that I disagreed with. I assume you were hoping for an especially strong reaction to what you’ve just done, but I’d rather not waste more time on you than is necessary. … Though I do think I can say with confidence that I was a better sister to him than you ever were a brother.”

“… If you could make your explanation quick, please. I’d like to go home now.”

Have the first part of my P5 x P3 fusion AU cast!: Akmuko Arirusu ( Female Hamuko + Akiren fusion) a mysterious girl, arrested by police she was sentenced to live in Tokyo in Leblanc, Akmuko at first is very quiet and reserved only giving passively friendly remarks but once she’s fully out of her shell she’s very bombastic playful and teasing, she’s the leader of the S.E.E.S. Thieves and excels in Her work as a Tartarverse Thief, she is also a wild card.

Morgis ( Female Aigis + Morgana fusion)

A weird clunky mechanical robot-like cat who appears to be weirdly attached to Akmuko and has allegedly been in the Tartarverse Thief business for quite some time, she’s very doll-like and is the poster child of the creepy little-girl trope, though she can be rather annoying at times she means well, in the real world Morgis takes the form of a cat with robotic limbs. ( 3d printer made)

Ryuka Takemoto ( Female Ryuji + Yukari fusion) A abrasive and sometimes rude girl who means well she has a heart of gold, she’s a Ex member of the Volleyball team who truly resents them for the abuse they did to her causing her to be quite moody at times, but she means well.

Anhiko Sanamaki ( Male Akihiko + Ann fusion)

A courteous down to earth yet normal person he’s famous for his boxing model magazines and has millions of simps, he’s fairly popular at school but doesn’t let it go to his head and remains level headed.

Yuuka Yamagawa ( Female Yusuke + Fuuka Fusion) Shy yet outspoken, Yuuka is one of the most talented digital artists at Kosei high, most of time she doesn’t socially interact with anyone because she’s to busy getting her art pieces done on time, but when she does she acts shy at first but if she’s comfortable around you get ready to hear her ranting about art pieces she finds interesting the future of digital art nerdy things and things that she finds interesting, she is not a navigator.

Mapei Iojima ( Male Junpei + Makoto fusion)

A silly yet serious boy, he cares very deeply about the rules and is a student council president but he doesn’t have the willpower to properly punish others and generally means well, it’s a wonder how he is still a student council president

Fuken Amashiki ( Male Ken + Futaba fusion)

A socially inept and NEET young boy who can be rather abrasive and rude but ultimately means well, being on the internet he tends to use internet slang a lot but he uses it to cope with his dead mother, he’s the navigator.

Harjiro Aramura ( Male Shinjiro + Haru fusion)

A silent yet mysterious brooding type, he is surprisingly kind hearted pure hearted and overall a good person, he is the heir to the Aramura corporation and as such is destined to take over, he’s extremely good botany and cooking.

Akesuru Kiriro ( Female Akechi + Mitsuru fusion)

A elite and well known investigator who never fails at Autopsies, Akesuru is rather beautiful elegant charismatic and intelligent, her main person she has eyes on is Akmuko and the Tartarverse thieves, being primarily directed by her father Takeho.

Suyoji Mochizawa ( Male Sumire + Ryoji fusion)

A kind yet extremely mysterious student at The academy, he acts nice and kind enough but what is he hiding? And once again he seems socially approachable but tends to latch onto Akmuko.

Reblogging and just translating SNIPPETS from some (not all) that I’ve listened to... I did listen to all of them but didn’t translate everything because I wasn’t too sure about the wording ><

Yuma’s seiyuu, Muranaka Tomo introduced the 30+ voice comments for Twitter :3

Rata’s seiyuu, Tononaga Toshiyuki read in the series that Rata’s got a big secret, so basically looking forward to see more of him in the future.

Wen’s seiyuu, Sonozaki Mie alluded to THAT famous scene for those who read the manga and hopes they look forward to it. She said how she read that Wen likes honey, oranges, naps, and dog and feels she can get along with her well.

Koskero’s seiyuu, Tsuda Kenjiro said one of the things he likes about World Trigger is it’s world view--it’s full of originality and fun.

Regi’s seiyuu, Murase Ayumu shared that his favorite character is Hyuse.

Yomi’s seiyuu, Shiraishi Ryoko shared how she had to do afureko by herself for the first episode, so she as feeling worried about the “atmosphere” between the Galopoula members, but she was able to do afureko with some of the other seiyuu from the Galopoula Team and felt much better about it.

Gatlin’s seiyuu, Egawa Hisao shared how he never got to see Yomi’s seiyuu, Shiraisho Ryoko. 

Arafune’s seiyuu, Takemoto Eiji said how he had to say THE LINE “I hate dogs” and how it was tough for him (likes dogs and owns one?) to deliver that line, lol. (LOL, this comment convinced me to write this post)

Suwa’s seiyuu, Numata Yuusuke mentioned that his favorite scene is all of the B-Rank Battles (might have misunderstood his wording--so we WILL see all of B-Rank Battles this season??). He also mentioned meeting (another Suwa Squad member) Tsutsumi’s seiyuu, Tokuyama Yasuhito and how it’s definitely a relief when you’re with your own squad mates :3

Ko’s seiyuu, Nojima Hirofumi is hyped up for the series :3 (everything’s powered up!)

Nasu’s seiyuu, Kuwashima Houko shared that her favorite scene was the pillow-throwing scene between the Nasu Team members.

Nino’s seiyuu, Suwabe Junichi’s favorite character is Ninomiya, and the Ninomiya team members, haha. And he’s like “If you don’t watch the anime--ASTEROID!”

Fuyushima’s seiyuu, Okiayu Ryotaro shared his favorite character is Fuyushima himself (even though he doesn’t appear much :3)

Kako’s seiyuu, Watanabe Misa shared how some of them had to do afureko by themselves so it was a bit sad/lonely.

Yoneya’s seiyuu, Kishio Daisuke kept talking about 大百科 (encyclopedia) and I’m so confused... does it have to do w/ the WT facts segment at the end of the episodes??? Anyways, he shared he wants to fight Gatlin the most. 

Miwa’s seiyuu, Morita Masakazu shared how he and Koskero’s seiyuu, Tsuda Kenjiro (whom he hasn’t seen in a while) ended up talking about their camera hobbies.

Katori’s seiyuu, Han Megumi shared how she really likes Katori Squad and each of the members. 

Arashiyama’s seiyuu, Okamoto Nobuhiko shared his favorite characters are Miwa and Kageura. He alludes to a flashback scene for Arashiyama in this season~

Ai-chan’s seiyuu, Hanazawa Kana shared that her favorite character is Usami Shiori :3 she also brings up a future scene where Ai appears with Kuroe Futaba~

Kazama’s seiyuu, Midorikawa Hikaru shared how when the previous season ended, the staff said something along the lines of “we must reunite someday” but they weren’t TOO hopeful about it--however they actually have a new season and he’s very happy about it. He’s hoping we get to learn/see more about Kazama and his team~

Izumi’s seiyuu, Ishikawa Kaito shared about how Izumi’s known for being the bullet-idiot (LOL) and he’ll appear as a commentator in series (for B-Rank Battles).

Tachikawa’s seiyuu, Namikawa Daisuke shared how it was hard for them to see each other (other cast members), but there was that one time he saw Nakamura Yuichi (Jin’s seiyuu) and when told him how he slept kinda weird, Nakamura Yuichi, responded to him in a very nice voice, “that’s a straight neck” loll?? A bit confused, but I guess he was expressing happiness in seeing each other.

Jin’s seiyuu, Nakamura Yuichi shared how in 2021 we finally get to see the continuation. He reminisced about the opening scene (the very first scene) where Jin appears and how it was very “燃えます” (it means burn but like I pretty sure the context is kinda like how it’s very exciting) 

Yotaro’s seiyuu, Urawa Megumi shared how she looks forward to the B-Rank Battles, and how Yotaro’s lines this season has a lot of hiragana (LOL). She said to support--no--look forward/have good expectations for Tamakoma-2. She also said Yotaro’s not your average kid and Raijinmaru is also not your average capybara either XD

Konami’s seiyuu, Kugimiya Rie shared her favorite scenes were when Tamakoma are gathered together eating and talking together. 

Torimaru’s seiyuu, Fukuyama Jun shared it was very nostalgic (returning to the series?). He said it would be nice if he had more lines this season XD
