✨Kombat Kid AU headcannons✨
✨Featuring Satoshi and Frost✨
Kung Jin has keys to everyone’s rooms. Note that they did not give him the keys, he’s somehow just acquired them. No one knows how he managed this, no keys are missing, but he has them all the same for “reasons”.
Kung Jin used to have a crush on Takeda but that passed back when they were still teenagers. Now they are ride or die besties that will occasionally kiss the homies good night.
In a surprise twist no one was expecting, Takeda turns out to be the only straight person on the team. Given the fact that he was raised by an emotionally repressed ninja in love with an equally emotionally repressed assassin, this came as a shock to many.
Jacqui does NOT like Satoshi. She’ll play nice with him for everyone’s sake, but she won’t easily forgive him for all the crap he’s put Takeda through physically and all the stuff he’s still being put through emotionally.
Kung Jin is also wary of Satoshi and keeps a very close eye on him. Between him and Jacqui, Satoshi is being watched like a hawk.
Cassie would smash the mindflare in Baldur’s Gate. Yes, she gets judged for it, and though Jacqui is very familiar with the benefits of sleeping with a telepath, it is still a squid, and it is gross, and Cass should feel bad. (Kung Jin would do the mindflare too)
Takeda is an amazing cook. He used to help his mother in the kitchen before she died so he’s kept up the skill as a way of keeping her memory alive. Also out of necessity because Hanzo can’t cook to save his life. Cassie often jokes that Takeda will make a great house husband for Jacqui one day.
Cassie, Frost, and Takeda are all metalheads.
Cassie is the only one that can get away with calling Frost Elsa.
A small part of Kuai Liang was happy to see Satoshi back at the Lin Kuei, but a much larger, less selfish, part of his heart was braking for Hanzo.
Frost is very protective of Satoshi but she is also very protective of her friends as well so she is put between a rock and a hard place when it comes to his feud with the SF team.
Takeda starts spending a lot more time with Kenshi and a lot less time with the Shirai Ryu after Satoshi’s return, which honestly just ends up hurting himself and everyone involved even more.
It’s Kenshi that convinces Takeda to return to Hanzo’s side because though he is Takeda’s biological father, Hanzo is his legal guardian and by all rights his father as well and the man has been sending him nonstop messages asking about him, worried sick that he had somehow upset the boy.
The look of pure, unashamed, joy on Hanzo's face when Takeda returned had Satoshi seething.

but the prank war between the Lin kuei and the shirai ryu.. oh man can we please get some headcannons on that?? One clan of trained assassins, one a whole clan of ninjas. The shenanigans!
It was truly incredible
Not a single member of either clan knows how to be even remotely normal, so things get insane pretty quickly
It starts with your standard hair dye in the shampoo and weapons hidden in strange places but quickly devolves into at least three people waking up to find that they've been kidnapped and one person lost in the woods for three days
Frost, shockingly enough, stops participating about halfway in bc things are getting too intense for her liking. She loves chaos, sure, but this is too much, even for her
Takeda gets waaaaaaay too into it, and is forever known as both a prank master and a terrifying nightmare who's wrath one should never incur
Hanzo and Kuai Liang are desperately trying to keep the peace to no avail and end up drinking with Johnny to try and cope with the living nightmare they are now in
Hanzo has to stave off no less that 4 coups bc he's trying to stop the prank war and nobody wants that
The shaolin and sf get dragged into it near the end which very nearly causes an Actual War
Peace is eventually made, but only after half of the participants are hospitalized in a prank gone wrong and Kuai Liang has nearly torn his hair out from stress

Thoughts chewing at my brain about a Keroro AU where it’s like an alignment swap only instead it’s a Frog Swap, meaning the humans are Keronians now and the Keronians are humans. Maybe college students but maybe late high school I guess?
The Platoon:
Kamomo Gunsou / Sergeant Kamomo comes from a high-ranking military family and she’s the one in charge of her platoon! Like Momoka, she still has the split personalities; her energy bursts from her hands rather than her mouth or eyes and she can use it as an aura in a physical fight. She’s still a tadpole but not-so-secretly hopes that won’t be true for long.
Nasusu Gouchou / Corporal Nasusu is the weapons specialist and she’s good at basically all kinds of athletics and combat, as well as being Fuyuyu’s big sister of course. She’s a lot like Natsumi in most ways, except stick her in an unhealthy military society and hand her guns.
Fuyuyu Nitouhei / Private Second Class Fuyuyu is the newest member of the platoon, and Nasusu is both worried about him but can also vouch for him. Nervous but tries to be more serious so he doesn’t let anyone down, but like Fuyuki, he really still loves Weird Unexplained Shit and is also excited about meeting an alien... on the planet they’re invading. Since he’s not really a fighter or the tech guy, he actually has more of a role of tactician and (unofficially, later) diplomat. He’s also still a tadpole.
Yukiki Heichou / Lance Corporal Yukiki is the former assassin, because all assassins and former assassins who aren’t like Captain rank are Lance Corporals I guess. Like Koyuki, she’s bright, enthusiastic, and curious; like Dororo, she’ll get taken in by the ninja village and take to it like a duck to water, but she’ll really badly want to share it with the rest of her platoon friends.
Tsumimi Souchou / Sergeant Major Tsumimi doesn’t have the bad attitude of another Sergeant Major we could name but he’s super laid back and no one knows what to do with him so he gets assigned under Kamomo despite outranking her. Like Saburo, he’s too smart for his own good and takes everything in stride, even getting excited about shit he shouldn’t be... and is kind of a mischievous guy with a slight jerkish streak! Their tech guy, natch.
The other Keronians:
Akiki Chui, either a current or former First Lieutenant, and Nasusu and Fuyuyu’s mother. Might fill Garuru’s role? Or might just visit sometimes if retired!
Haruru Juni, a current or former Warrent Officer, and Nasusu and Fuyuyu’s father. Might still be current and that’s why he’s off on some assignment?
Kinana, the family’s retired grandmother (Akiki’s mother)!
Baii Taisa / Colonel Baii, Kamomo’s father.
Okaka Chuusa / Lieutenant Colonel Okaka, Kamomo’s mother.
Palulu, that family’s butler.
Mukuku Heichou / Lance Corporal Mukuku, Yukiki’s old friend and fellow assassin and basically a big sister figure to her. Was honestly relieved when Yukiki surpassed her.
The other aliens:
Angol Asami. Takes Amano Moa’s appearance to make people lower their guard. Like Mois, she came to destroy Earth, but she winds up friends with the Platoon and Moa instead.
Alisa and Nebula are just always Alisa and Nebula. Nothin changin there.
The humans (these are all working names...):
Hinata Keiro, like Keroro, is a bit too lackadaisical and unconcerned. He’s either in high school and supposed to be studying for college entrance exams, or he’s a ronin who really needs to be trying hard again next year. He loves the internet and TV and, of course, Gunpla! And he gets some ridiculous ideas that he somehow manages to drag his friends into, even though Tangirou and Dororo, having known him since elementary school, should really know better. Usually called Keiro or Keiro-kun.
Takeda Tangirou is a more laid-back Giroro, at least by a bit. He wasn’t military and has never touched a gun, which is much better for him tbh. He’s great at sports and is a long-time member of Judo Club. Again, either still in high school, or in his case going to the local university; if the former, he hopes to get into the same school his older brother Garouichi. Might be roommates with Keiro? Usually called Giro or Giro-kun.
Azumaya Dororo, formerly named Reishi, is a childhood friend of Keiro and Giro, though years spent in a nearby ninja village distanced them somewhat after elementary school; his mother sent him to stay with family there in hopes that the forest and the training would help his poor health, and it did, enough that he took on a name for the forest rather than his old one. Like in canon, he’s calm and adores nature, and is still a bit traumatized from being Keiro’s childhood friend, but still loves his friends fiercely. Usually called Dororo now, but sometimes called Doro-kun; formerly called Reishi or Rei-kun.
Nishizawa Tamaki is like Tamama but without the energy beam attacks; he does still have the split personalities, and is a shockingly good fighter when in his violent side comes out. Loves sweets and kinda loves Keiro’s chaotic plans, too. Even if the others are all college-aged, he’s probably still a senior in high school; if they’re high-school aged he might be just entering high school or still in his final year of middle school. Has a huge crush on Keiro the moment he meets him. Usually called Tama or Tama-chan.
Tsukishima Kuruo is Kururu as a human, which as we’ve already established, means he’s a lazy hacker weirdgirl (goes by Kurumi online). Spends most of his time in his room, which he makes shit in but also spends a lot of time online and also playing video games in. Loves curry, naturally. Bleaches his hair but then does fucking nothing else with it. Has decided if he’s going to get dragged into Keiro’s ridiculousness he’s gonna make it even more ridiculous as often as possible, partly because he’s kind of desperately bored. Has had no friends until recently. Usually called Kuru or Kuru-kun; Tsumimi starts calling him Kuru-chan early on. It’s just a wave thing.
Amano Moa is basically Mois but a normal human; she’s a complete sweetheart and not at all a ditz the way some people might assume at first, very bright and competent. A shockingly naturally skilled fighter when it comes down to it, too.
Takeda Garouichi is Giro’s older brother and just an all-around cool and impressive guy. Usually called Garou or Garou-san.
Kano Rumiko is, like Pururu, a childhood friend of Keiro, Giro, and Dororo! She’s also either a nursing student now or wants to go into nursing. Usually called Rumiko-chan, but her childhood friends call her Ru-chan.
Goto Taru is a year younger than Tamaki, whom he calls Tama-senpai. Like Taruru, he’s also a little weirdo.
Shinoda Kotoro is either a bright but egotistical high school student or he’s like, twelve. No in-between. Like Tororo, he can be a bit of a brat and get carried away, and cries somewhat easily. Usually called Toro-kun.
Hayashi Zorusuke is a much less single-mindedly vengeful Zoruru and I don’t know what else to do with this guy. Has prosthetics but I’m not sure why yet. Usually called Zoru or Zoru-san or sometimes Zoru-kun.
The pronouns I used for all of the above are their canon ones, but let’s be real, if I were writing this for real I’d be transing a lot of genders. Yukiki at least would be she/they and Dororo would be she/her and Doro-chan (the name change was totally part of a trans thing on top of everything else), Garou might be they/them, Zoru might also, Keiro would probably use all kinda pronouns. Tsumimi and Kuru can go on a gender journey over the course of the story, that could be fun.

As an orphaned child who became a victim of trafficking to be sold as a slave to the local daimyo, she was eventually rescued after a near-death experience of escaping from her captors, taken in & raised in a hidden ninja village by her master, Mochizuki Chiyome, a kunoichi in service of Takeda clan who was presumed dead after the Battle of Nagashino but turned out to be living in recluse after being cursed with immortality by the snake-god Uwabami. Stealth (she can practically make her steps undetectable through noise, like a cat)
Poison/Toxin Expertise
Vampiric Draining (of mana through bodily fluids)
Enhanced Human Immunity (from regular diseases, toxins, hazards, etc)
Trivia: During a full moon, it is possible for Tsuyuko to turn into her full kitsune form as a fox with black fur (currently with three tails, vaguely indicating her actual age), resembling the kokuko variant of kitsune & unleash her full potential as a youkai. During new moons however, this would turn the other way around where she would lose most of her magical abilities & practically is almost no different from a normal human (though one should remember that she is a kunoichi).

Mirror Yua/TR Yua Bio
Alright, this time I definitely need to make the comment before showing the bio.
Yua is a character created by my dear friend @odie1441, who has a very unique and awesome take in MK as well as awesome drawings you should go an see! ❤️
Developing what a version of her and her story could be in Twisted Reflection ended up being super helpful to develop the Shirai Ryu in this universe, so I decided to actually use her. But, as I have just said, Odie's lore for her take on MK is very unique, so I have to give some context for the casual reader to understand the whole deal of this version of the character.
The bio is intentionally wordy and explicative in an attempt to provide enough context for this version of the character to by understood by itself with no need of knowing the original version, but I feel that explaining who two characters are would be useful:
-Chiyome Mochizuki. She is an 'historical figure' (her existence is discussed among historians, the Wikipedia article in particular claims there is tons of evidence against it) Odie decided to fictionalize and use in her lore. You can click in her name to see her article in Wikipedia, but, basically, she is the alleged founder of a clan of kunoichis. In Odie's version she is an ally of the Shirai Ryu back when the clan was leadered by its founder, Takeda.
-Kyoko. She is another OC of Odie. A summary of the story of her main version would deserve of its own post. Nonetheless, her Twisted Reflection counterpart is just backstory for other characters, so I will recommend the casual reader to just read the bios of Mirror Mileena and Mirror Skarlet, which, alongside this one, I hope give an idea of what's the story of the Twisted Reflection counterpart of Kyoko with no need of knowing what's her main counterpart deal.
With all this said, I proceed to show up the bio in hopes it is understandable for the casual reader. If not, please tell me and I will make an effort to specify things even more lmao.
Born in China more than four hundred years ago, Yua was once an orphan who was taken in by the clan of Chiyome Mochizuki. This was a clan of kunoichis who lived quite a violent life, and, as such, she was trained to become an assassin. She proved so talented for combat and espionage that she was moved to the main territories of the clan in Japan to serve under their leader directly. Despite her less than ideal lifestyle, she became caring to those around her, her fellow kunoichi who she considered family.
One day, when Yua was still a teenager, a new clan member who would be important for her in the future arrived. Princess Kyoko of Edenia, who after running away from her family and realm ended up in Japan. She joined Mochizuke Chiyome’s clan out of need for a new home. Thanks to magic methods provided by Shang Tsung, a good-hearted sorcerer some members of the clan had contact with, she was able to accelerate her aging so she could have a normal life in Earthrealm.
Due to Kyoko’s Tarkatan mouth, many of her age were scared of her, and thus she remained alone for a long time. Yua, who felt compassion for her despite any physical features and (as a chinese person in japanese territories) could relate to everyone around her rejecting her sometimes, was the first one who approached and connected with her. They started spending time together, eventually becoming friends, and later even falling in love. During that time Yua discovered everything about Kyoko’s past, including how she regretted not having been able to make Kitana, Mileena and Skarlet see that the Edenian Regime was wronging both their lives and those of most of the people of the different realms they had influence over. Yua felt sorry for her and hoped one day their sisters and her could be reunited… which would turn out to be impossible.
During this time period of the feudal Japan, ninja clans were in constant conflict for superiority, and Mochizuki’s clan were no exception. She was once an ally of Takeda, the deserter of the Lin Kuei and founder of the Shirai Ryu, who, by that time, were known for being quite ruthless even by standards of assassin clans, burning entire villages to the ground when it seemed convenient. Many members of Mochizuki’s clan, who despite being assassins had a strict code against harming civilians, were disgusted by their actions, but their leader found their alliance too convenient to break it. This would prove their undoing.
When Takeda thought Mochizuki’s clan was growing stronger, eventually seeing them as a threat. In his paranoia, he ordered his warriors to wipe them out before they could become too powerful and challenge them. One day, before Yua and Kyoko could even process what was going on, their home was set on fire. They tried to escape together, in hopes the rest of their friends would also make it. This ended up proving impossible, as Kyoko had to sacrifice herself so the person who she loved the most could survive. Yua lost everything and became the last surviving member of her clan after that day…
After recovering as much as she could from the traumatic event and reflecting on what she could do from then on, she took a chance given by a friendly interrealm tournament organized by Shang Tsung to see if there she could find more allies, wanting to make the Shirai Ryu pay for what they had done.
At the tournament, she met some of the sisters Kyoko had told her about, who were there more as an excuse to meet with potential future allies rather than really being interested in the tournament. She first found Princess Mileena, who she mistook for Kyoko before realizing who she really was. She tried to speak with her, but they were interrupted by Princess Kitana, who decided to interrogate Yua in private. Kitana discovered the truth of what had happened to her sister there. Learning that she was gone made the Princess more furious than she ever had been. She decided to hide the truth from Mileena and Skarlet to spare them the pain, as well as to ensure her sister’s death was avenged.
Kitana reunited with Lord Raiden and, after a long conversation with him, she was given permission to strike down the Shirai Ryu and impose the Edenian Regime ways in their territory, and just in their territory. The logic that Raiden was allegedly following was that by killing Princess Kyoko the clan had already become involved in Edenia’s affairs, but the truth was that Raiden wanted to use that loophole ensure the Shirai Ryu (who he considered heinous due to their methods but could not stop without breaking his then non-interference policy) would be stopped, and that a part of him wanted to see the results of the Edenian Regime regulating an Earthrealm society.
A group of Edenian soldiers leadered by Princess Kitana attacked the Shirai Ryu that day, joined by Yua. The Edenian forces easily overcame the Shirai Ryu warriors, and Takeda himself was slain by Kitana and Yua as retribution. After the battle was over, just like Kitana had promised to Yua and Raiden, all civilians and the warriors who surrendered were spared, and treated with compassion by Princess Kitana… which, of course, from her point of view implied enforcing the Edenian Regime’s laws to them from now on, making them know ‘peace’.
It took little time for Yua to realize the mistake she had committed. In her anger, she had actually spat in Kyoko’s grave by prioritizing revenge over trying to make her sisters realize the wrongs of the Edenian Regime, and that had cost innocent civilians being under the tyrannical regime from then on. Regretful and ashamed, she swore to correct that mistake and redeem herself, no matter how long it took.
Thanks to the generosity of Shang Tsung, Yua has been able to slow her aging, remaining alive until the present day. She is now known as a mysterious warrior who constantly works with many factions which opposed the Edenian Regime, and has the personal mission of stopping them on top of making the Edenian Princesses see the wrongs of the Regime they enforce so Kyoko’s dream can come true.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows: The Secrets of the Night
Assassin’s Creed Shadows: A New Chapter
Introduction
Assassin’s Creed, the genre’s flagship action-adventure game, has captivated millions with its intricate stories, rich historical locations, and thrilling gameplay. Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Shadows is expected to be a major advance over prior games. The essay discusses why this game is vital, including its pioneering gameplay and thorough world-building.
Story and Setting
Assassin’s Creed Shadows transports players to feudal Japan, a time period rich with culture, politics, and samurai. Take control of youthful assassin Kaito as he becomes caught up in a clan power war. The game‘s story is set against Japan’s gorgeous landscapes, bustling cities, and calm temples.
The plot involves devotion, treachery, and honour. Kaito’s revenge for his family’s wrongs drives his personal path. He discovers a Templar scheme to use the warring governments’ disarray for their own gain. Meeting historical figures adds authenticity and dimension to the story.
Game mechanics
Innovative gameplay elements distinguish Assassin’s Creed Shadows from its predecessors. Shadow Mode, which lets players use shadows to sneak about, is a major innovation. This element makes stealth gaming more creative and strategic.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ combat is improved. A dual-wielding system lets players customise weaponry to their playstyle. The fighting system is fluid and responsive, whether you prefer katana strikes or wakizashi defence. A parry system inspired by samurai warfare adds skill and precision to engagements.
The Assassin’s Creed series’ parkour has been improved to mimic ninja agility.Kaito demonstrates remarkable dexterity as he scales buildings, bridges rooftops, and swings precariously from tree branches. Because parkour is so intrinsic to the game’s open universe, discovering it is an exciting adventure.
Exploration and Worldbuilding
The rich fabric of Feudal Japan is faithfully recreated in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The game offers bamboo woods, serene gardens, lively marketplaces, and majestic castles. Each place is full of NPCs going about their daily lives, giving the world realism and liveliness.
The game emphasises exploration with several side quests and activities. Players can complete contracts to assassinate high-profile targets, fight samurai clans, and discover ancient temples. Players can gather resources and construct new weapons and armour using the game’s complex crafting system.
A highlight of Assassin’s Creed Shadows is the Dynamic Weather System. Weather changes in real time, altering gameplay and environment. An unexpected shower can conceal stealth missions, while dense fog can hide ambushes. Game immersion and unpredictability are enhanced by dynamic weather.
Voice and Characters Acting Assassin’s Creed Shadows features a diverse cast with distinct motivations and backstories. Protagonist Kaito is multifaceted and grows through internal turmoil. His relationships with his mentor Takeda and the mysterious geisha Yuki are crucial to the story and add emotional depth.
Amazing voice acting brings Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ characters and stories to life. The game’s outstanding performers capture their characters’ emotions and personalities with impressive performances. Each well-written discussion enriches the tale and setting.
Pictures and music
Assassin’s Creed Shadows looks great. The game uses next-gen consoles to provide beautiful graphics with complex character models, realistic lighting, and stunning settings. From ornate samurai armour to beautiful cherry blossoms, the game is meticulously detailed.
A famous musical team’s soundtrack matches the game’s setting and tone. Traditional Japanese instruments and sophisticated orchestration create a hauntingly beautiful score that increases the story’s emotional effect. Each piece of music is tailored to the scene, whether it’s a thrilling covert operation or a huge conflict.
Online/Multiplayer Features
A powerful multiplayer option complements Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ excellent single-player experience. Friends can team up for cooperative tasks, PvP combat, and seasonal events. Team-based stealth missions and large-scale samurai battles make the multiplayer mode fresh and entertaining.
The game has leaderboards, daily challenges, and community activities online. These activities boost replayability and lifespan by unlocking rewards and special content. Player transitions between single-player and multiplayer modes are easy because to the game’s internet features.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows release date
On November 15, 2024, Assassin’s Creed Shadows finally arrived, much to the excitement of lovers of the cherished series. It was made by Ubisoft Quebec and takes players to Sengoku-era mediaeval Japan. You command the formidable Naoe, a highly skilled shinobi, alongside the renowned Yasuke, a legendary samurai hailing from Africa. United, they traverse the ravaged territory and battle for a fresh era. Many systems, including Windows, Mac, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and more, are compatible with Shadows.
Conclusion
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be a franchise milestone with its revolutionary gameplay, rich world-building, and thrilling story. The game’s lush environment in Feudal Japan and polished combat and stealth features make Kaito’s adventure compelling. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is a must-play for aficionados and beginners because to its beautiful visuals, voice acting, and dynamic universe.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows shows Ubisoft’s dedication to developing video game storyline and design. No matter your level of familiarity with the series, Assassin’s Creed Shadows offers an amazing experience.

Ninja (2009), dir: Isaac Florentine
I have a lot of affection for this movie: it's not great, it has silly sound effects, a little goofy, went with CGI blood instead of squibs which looks bad, definite power rangers influence and not always in a good way; but I genuinely like the characters and their relationships with each other
we start with various characters at a dojo in Japan, we meet Casey (Scott Adkins) and Namiko Takeda (Mika Hijii) sparring and they definitely have crushes on each other, they're generally very cute but aren't acting on the obvious attraction yet
so Casey is obviously an American white guy, seemingly the only one at the dojo, and that's implied to be part of why another student Masazuka (Tsuyoshi Ihara) is so hostile
he intrudes into Casey's personal room around bedtime (while Casey is lost in thought looking at a photo of his mom) seemingly just to push his trauma buttons
"must suck not to have a heritage :) shame your mom abandoned you and your dad drank himself to death :)", it nearly provokes a fight but Sensei Takeda (Togo Igawa) scolds him
later they have a sparring match, it's a good showing but Casey notably struggles, it widely escalates and Masazuka tries to kill Casey, Sensei exiles him and everyone feels bad about it; it's not a bully getting kicked out to applause, it's a favored student with potential who has lost the family's trust
presumably months later, Masazuka has become an assassin for the Illuminati-esque Ring, he returns to the dojo mostly to threaten them about he's the only one who deserves to inherit the Yoroi Bitsu (a box of ninja gear that's culturally important), he's also here to stare threateningly at Casey, but comes off less "I'm going to happily murder you later" and more a come hither look
so Casey and Namiko are sent to New York with the YB to hide it in a museum for safekeeping, Casey's definitely focused on the task but him carrying the photo of his mom suggests he has a second motive, they then contact a an old friend of Sensei called Professor Garrison (Garrick Hagon)
they have a nice dinner with him and Prof asks how Casey ended up at the dojo, Casey proceeds to trauma dump to professor, "yeah my mom left me when I was 12 :) dad drove off a cliff :) a family friend dropped me off at the dojo so I'm perfectily fine", our boy definitely has unprocessed trauma
Masazuka slaughters those at the dojo (unclear how many), has the advantage with a high-tech ninja suit with infra-red vision, angry about Sensei rejecting him (definite parallel to Casey's history of abandonment), kills Sensei but realizes that YB has been moved, realizes location thru Namiko's phone messages
Casey goes to find mom, learns she died of a stroke months before; quietly comforted by Namiko, romantic undertone but interrupted by intruders who kill the professor
they get away and hide in motel, Namiko has quiet breakdown when she realizes her father is dead, they end up sharing a shower but it's more of a keeping warm/comfort than sexy, more trouble with police thinking they're suspects
next morning Casey panics when she isn't there, although just went down to coffee shop, another ambush, train fight, first kill, arrested by police
this is about where the film loses steam for me, the story still works okay but a little less gripping, also wish Namiko got a better showing because she struggles more in fights than Casey despite the beginning suggesting they were on equal footing
there's an interrogation where Namiko sticks to the cover story of visiting then running because they were scared of the attackers whereas Casey basically tells the truth about ninja assassins and isn't believed; Masazuka breaks into the precint, kills police and kidnaps Namiko
Casey tracks down the cult and calls Masazuka to make a deal, the Yoroi Bitsu in exchange for Namiko (she's willing to die to keep it hidden but he isn't)
final fight: meet at a construction site, Namiko freed when box is handed over, turns out box is empty because Casey decided to wear the gear instead, Namiko gets a good fight but poisoned and taken out of commision halfway through, Casey wins the fight and gets antidote for Namiko
ends with beheading Masazuka, interesting tone because it doesn't feel exultant, more like a grim necesity
final scene is Casey and Namiko at Sensei's grave before returning to the dojo, implied they're now a couple

Jacqui: True, but I'm more concerned about my best friend dating an assassin
Kung Jin: Isn't Takeda a Ninja?
Jacqui: Not the same thing and this is not about him
Jacqui: Let me get this straight, Cassie and Frost fucked?
Kung Jin: I don't think there's anything straight about that.

How would you think before sektor or Kuai liang and the original Lin kuei grandmaster and when. Bi han was alive Reacted if I told everyone in the room with sektor Cyrax Kuai bi han and smoke that’s the Lin kuei dress like ninjas and I told him the definition of a ninja
https://youtu.be/Lz0rKlKE6pc
youtube
You’d pretty much get an exact reenactment of this!
While they are extremely similar it is believed that the Lin Kuei predate the ninja and that a former member of the Lin Kuei named Takeda (NOT to be confused with Kenshi and Suchin’s son) fled to Japan with the Lin Kuei’s secrets and founded the Shirai Ryu and thus ninjas.
Mortal Kombat co-creator John Tobias actually answered a thread about the Lin Kuei and the Shirai Ryu origins a while ago, you can read it here. The Lin Kuei are actually based off of real Chinese assassins and mercenaries that did actually kidnap children around the ages of 5 and 6 and trained them in secrecy. Though the actual origins of the Lin Kuei vs the ninja are unknown in the world of Mortal Kombat the Lin Kuei came first which is why they get so offended by the term!
Thanks for coming to another episode of Sol rambles about the Lin Kuei!

Champions of the realm: Smoke
Missing Characters: Sub Zero, Hanzo, Cassie, Jacqui, Jin, Takeda.
Liu Kang: They can form a tag team. Smoke: Where there is smoke… Liu Kang: There is fire.
Kung Lao: They are both partners of their respective friends, and can relate to their loyalties. A bet they could have some friendly sparring. Lin Kuei or Shaolin? Square up, let’s go.
Johnny Cage: Smoke saw one of his movies after hearing about it from Cyrax. He doesn’t hate it, considering he’s an assassin, not a ninja, but it could be much better.
Sonya: They don’t interact much, but Smoke respects her fighting spirit.
Jax: On occasion, Smoke hides in his cigars for a surprise. This can be helpful or a hindrance depending on when he pops out.
Nightwolf: Smoke wonders if Nightwolf can use his spiritual powers to unlock his past, but doesn’t want to risk anything too dangerous.
Stryker: They don’t talk much. Stryker occasionally makes a “no smoking” joke.
Kabal: Smoke is thankful to Kabal for giving him the chance to free his friend. Even if the way to do so was a bit… percussive.
Kitana: After they were on the same side, there was a slight awkwardness with them. They didn’t have much to say, and Smoke’s first interaction was to call her a housemaid. So, not a good start. However, they learned to work together, but weren’t too close.
jade: Although their first meeting had Smoke attack, mainly out of needing some way to release his frustration and Jade gave him a flimsy justification, after talking things out they realised they had a few things in common. Jade teased him a little for not noticing Mileena’s differences, much to his chagrin.

Will and Skill
A Mitsuhide Akechi fanfic, approx. 1600 words. This scene takes place well after the events of the romantic epilogue.
First: Mitsuhide and the Maiden
Previous: Belief
Mitsuhide left for the university the next morning. As silent as the rays of the morning sun, he opened his lover’s bedroom door and slipped in to give her a goodbye kiss and to leave a note on her table. She didn’t wake, but smiled as his lips brushed her forehead. The sight of her, disheveled and vulnerable, made his heart ache. He would rather spend the day at her side, but even here, he had responsibilities.
He and Sasuke were the only two with clear heads after their night out drinking. Even his little mouse and her mother were sleeping off celebratory drinks. He exchanged a knowing smile with the ninja as they crept out silently.
“I admire your skills,” Sasuke watched as he latched the door without making a sound.
“As I do yours. Are you sure you-”
Sasuke shook his head. “I like my job and my boss. But thank you.”
Mitsuhide smiled. He’d known the ninja would refuse but felt he had to ask. “How is your research into the worm hole progressing? You haven’t spoken about it in some time.”
“There have been other things to talk about.” Sasuke raised an eyebrow. “Besides, I’ve been spending time on a-a side project. One that is equally important. To me.”
The kitsune warlord’s smile went sharp and thin. “Shingen Takeda.”
“So you know then.”
“That he was ill, yes.” Mitsuhide tapped his chin lightly as if considering, though he’d already realized the ninja’s aim. “You hope to heal him.”
Sasuke tensed, saying nothing.
“I would go a step further and say you intended to perfect your invention, using our trip as a test. Then you planned to bring Takeda to this time for treatment. But the worm hole refuses to be opened as you need it, so now you plan to bring the medicine of this age back to Shingen.” Mitsuhide raised an eyebrow. “Ambitious.”
The ninja gave a dry, humorless laugh. “Yes. I don’t know how much good it will do. I am a physicist, not a medical doctor.”
Mitsuhide shrugged. “Any chance you give him to survive his illness is one more than he would have.”
“Yes.” Sasuke studied the distant horizon. “I would appreciate you not mentioning this to . . . to the chatelaine. I don’t want to darken a joyful time with my -”
“I don’t keep secrets from my little mouse. But if she doesn’t ask, I won’t mention it.” Mitsuhide’s eyes narrowed. “Don’t expect to keep it from her for long, though. She is perceptive.”
The two men fell into a companionable silence for the remainder of their trip to the university. Once there, Sasuke left for the medical center, while Mitsuhide set off for the dorms. His ‘scholarship’ students were doing well, and it was time to fulfill a promise.
The three boys shared a room, and they were still asleep at this early hour. Sprawled across their beds, clothes in a pile, barely even stirring as Mitsuhide opened their door. He clapped his hands once and the room erupted into chaos.
The whistler - Itsuko, got tangled in his blankets and fell to the floor. The bag-grabbing Souta managed to jump up, but faced the wrong direction. The talker of the group, Daiki, was the only one to get up facing Mitsuhide, but the pillow he brandished was far from intimidating.
“If I was a thief, you’d be left with nothing but your short-pants,” Mitsuhide sighed. “And if I was an assassin, you’d all be dead.”
“Grandpa’s got skills,” Daiki laughed.
Itsuko sighed. “I was having the best dream.”
Souta tossed a shirt at Itsuko. “Dreaming of noodles again?”
“It’s not just noodles! It’s the world’s best ramen.”
Mitsuhide sighed. “Dress and meet me outside. Today, I will train you.”
Soon enough, all three boys met on the front sidewalk. Mitsuhide looked them over. He’d worked with less. The only uncertainty was the will behind those wary smiles. A man, any man, could learn to fight. Could be taught to weigh and measure, to look for subtle cues. But you could not teach a man to know what to fight for. Faith in a leader, an ideal, a religion . . .
They walked to a park, a place screened from prying eyes. The whole way there, the boys chatted about their classes, their majors. Under the sarcasm and complaints, Mitsuhide detected a certain pride. They claimed to hate school - but he could tell they were pleased with their accomplishments.
“Now. I want you to try to hit me. Don’t hold back.” Mitsuhide stood across the small clearing and beckoned them on. This was always the first lesson. The most important part of any fight.
Souta didn’t need to be told twice. He charged at Mitsuhide, and flailed as the kitsune side-stepped out of the way and let the boy crash into the brush.
“Next?”
Itsuko rolled his shoulders. “I got this.” He came at Mitsuhide more slowly, lunging at the last moment.
Mitsuhide grabbed his arm and pulled him past. The boy’s momentum brought him to the same place as Souta.
Daiki grinned. “Let me guess. Lesson one, don’t get hit?”
“Very good.” Mitsuhide smiled back. “Now I want you to practice this.” And he proceeded to teach them how to read the body to predict the strike. They practiced for hours, getting bruised and scratched, sweaty and tired. It wasn’t any different in this time than his own, the warlord thought. With everything else that changed in 500 years, there was still no other way to truly learn to fight.
“Aren’t you afraid you’re going to teach us all this and we’ll just go back to jumping people in alleys?” Daiki asked as they settled down to take a break.
“Yeah,” Itsuko nodded. “I was thinking that too. “You don’t know us. We could just -”
“Disappear. And take off with a bunch of university property while we’re at it,” Souta chuckled.
Mitsuhide nodded. “Of course you could. But I don’t think you will.” He studied their attentive faces and wondered that they could not see what he did there. It wasn’t mind reading, but in their posture, the tension of their jaws, the set of their eyes he could see how much they needed him to believe they were honest. That they were worth his time. They wanted him to see how much effort they put into his requirements, like children in need of reassurance from their father.
“Why not?” Daiki settled back on his heels, trying to look relaxed.
“First, because you would not try so hard for something you plan to abandon. Second, because I can see that you enjoy the life you have now. You’ve made friends in your program. Joined clubs. Which means,” Mitsuhide took a breath, “you just need to find what you believe in.”
“Pffft.” Itsuko laughed and rolled onto his back to stare up at the sky. “I believe in a full belly. Being warm. Having a place to sleep.”
Daiki nodded. “Getting rich so I don’t have to slave at some desk job for nothing.”
“I-” Souta looked down at his hands. “I was thinking. Guys like us never get a chance. We don’t fit in at school. Don’t take the exams seriously because we figure we’ll fail. We grow up poor and we stay poor. I want . . . you know . . .”
Mitsuhide watched the boy stumble on his words, knowing this was Souta’s moment to begin understanding his ideals.
“So what, you’re going to be some social crusader? Take all the poor kids to school?” Daiki laughed.
“No. But maybe, if I can finish my degree, I can teach. I can be there for guys like us. I don’t know. I guess it’s stupid.” Souta’s hands clenched in his lap.
“It is a beginning.” Mitsuhide gave the boy a pat on his arm. “Now come on. We aren’t finished yet. Next, let’s go over how to hide your tells.”
***
Kyubei sat across from Mitsunari. Between them several maps lay on the floor. Rivers, roads, mountains, and cities were all marked. Ports and sea routes too. The battle against the shogun’s men had begun in earnest.
The first battle was a victory, if bloody. Uesugi forces made the difference, riding in just as Masamune was almost overwhelmed. Now Ieyasu and his trained vassals were seeing to the injured, while Nobunaga drew up plans for the next attack. They couldn’t sit back and wait for Ashikaga’s men to come to them. Supplies were short and the situation was not improving.
“Over land transport is taking too long. And it’s not any safer,” Mitsunari sighed. “The more men we pull to guard caravans, the slower the travel. The less resources arrive too, since so many have to be fed for the trip.”
Kyubei nodded. “We have to make use of our ports. There’s no other option.”
“The ports are a worse prospect. The Mouri clan either pillage our ships and steal them, or burn them.” Mitsunari traced his finger along the coastline of one of the maps, stopping at a river entrance.
“My sources say that is the port the Mouri return to. I think they have a shipyard there,” Kyubei gestured.
“One source.” Mitsunari tapped his finger on the spot. “That might be lying.”
“I don’t think he is. Ranmaru has no reason to deceive us about this. He says he saw it when making deals with Motonari for guns.” Kyubei frowned. “We could try to ambush them here. Burn their shipyard.”
Mitsunari nodded. “If there is a shipyard. If that is their base. We would still need to get enough men close to the port, enough of our own ships to blockade. Our forces would risk being set on fire and we would lose what navy we have left.”
“What if we made a boat you couldn’t light on fire?” Kyubei’s tired mind struck on an impossible idea. “A metal boat. An iron giant.”
Mitsunari’s violet eyes glinted dangerously. “What an interesting proposition.”*

"Ah." Prior knowledge. That is another difference she recently notice in regards to differences among the... alternate versions of people that she personally knew of && those who are unique to Chaldea. She remembers that she had encountered Fuuma Kotaro together with Sasuke, yet this Fuuma doesn't seem to personally know Sarutobi Sasuke himself... well, she has to listen to what he says first anyways.
"Yes, let me explain... The Sarutobi Sasuke that I know is a shinobi under the service of the Takeda clan. In where I came from, specifically, he also works as a personal bodyguard and aide to Sanada Yukimura, one of the Takeda army's frontline generals. Like I said, when they both appear, they can be really troublesome to deal with." What is there more to explain? Should she go into more details about how they hail from the same ninja village? ...No, that'd be embarrassing.
"...Other than that, I can't really go into too much details, but he is basically someone I wish to avoid at all costs." Her distaste towards him isn't exactly out of malice, but rather out of irritation towards his persistence to pursue her && his irksome attitude to go out his ways to make fun of her...
"But there are other things around Chaldea that I'm also curious about, Fuuma-dono..." Being a recent addition to the summoned heroic spirits, naturally she has a few questions here && there. If her fellow Assassin-class servant cannot provide an answer, perhaps her current master would be able to. "First of all; are there any Uesugi shinobi around here other than myself?" Other questions related to Lord Kenshin can wait.
✦ ─ ━ Ѕһɩɴоβɩ Honestly, if she had any questions about him, he'll be glad to answer them to the best of his abilities but there are a few that he likes to keep hidden though. A simple hum came from his lips with a small smile was placed towards her words there, he probably heard that name before during his time when he was alive but never knew. ❝Sarutobi Sasuke.....do you happen to know the lord or clan of that person by chance? If it's someone I've actually met during my time when I was alive then probably I've bumped into them during that time.❞
Even in this life he still can remember a few names off the top of his head there, especially if has faced them before like Hattori Hanzo or even Kōsaka Jinnai.
❝Regardless, I'll keep that in mind but it seems you are more knowledgeable about them in general there but I won't pry into it.❞
#jaakunxkaze#☆ — 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙗𝙡𝙖𝙙𝙚. ( kasuga )#kasu: i hate sasuke (proceeds to talk in detail abt him & their past if simply asked further)#ffdjdkdd tsun behavior...#i think she'd be amazed to see how his ninja gang members are brought together with him since mostly works solo

ASHRAH
I am a demon, a denizen of the Netherrealm.
For ages, my sisters and I have blindly served Quan Chi as members of the The Brotherhood of Shadow.
But I questioned a command given by the sorcerer.
To set an example, he sent my own sister to slay me.
During my escape, I discovered a weapon - a sword - that seemed to be of heavenly origin. With each demonic assassin that has fallen to this blade, I have felt a strange exhilaration. It is as if the taint of evil is leaving me.
Now I understand the strange sensation I feel when I exterminate a demon of the Netherrealm with this sword. The sword is purifying me as I cleanse the world of evil. With each fiend I eradicate, my presence here becomes more unstable…soon I will be expelled from this realm. If I were to slay a powerful demon such as Noob Saibot, I would finally become an ascending demon, free from the Netherrealm forever.“
I wish I had more time to make her alternative costumes with her demon form And a full fight style and special moves list. Ashrah was my second female character to make after Sareena. And I still want to make more I am an artist and a gamer, both inspires the other I am sharing my work now on my channel and multiple social media platforms I would like to hear your thoughts guys and gals! Who do you want to see next?
Do you think there is a Kombat pack 3?

@seulfemme / serena cage : ❝ that sounded much better in my head . ❞ for takeda!
Takeda paused and then laughed. “What, never met a Shirai Ryu before?” This had to be the most unorthodox mission he’d taken on, and yet somehow the most normal. If you didn’t count the Black Dragon assassins.
“If you have questions, I probably can’t answer them, but you can ask.” While he wasn’t wearing anything outwardly marking him as a member of his clan (it’d be a bit too on the nose for any attackers), he did wear skin-tight body armor under a loose shirt and hoodie, and there were a dozen or so hidden weapons on his person. Yet for once in his life, he looked more like a civilian and not a trained ninja.
#seulfemme#c: takeda takahashi#answered#left it kinda open with what she said#but i think this works?#if not we can try something else :)

OF LOVERS, PAST AND PRESENT
HUMAN CONNECTION IS A FLIGHTY THING, a concept Klahan has found himself stumbling with more than once. Between abandonment issues, a life saturated with loss and the impermanence of the people in it, and his own struggles to form bonds it would surprise few to hear that he hasn't devoted much time to pursuing romantic relationships.
HE HAS TOYED WITH THE IDEA, lived through crushes and the draws of physical attraction, and he's enjoyed the intimate company of others, sneaked kisses and held hands behind other people's backs -- but that's as far as it ever went. He is a surface level flirt, there for the passing fun of it, willing to be a fond memory of a charming stranger and nothing more.
You can look, but you can't touch.
KNOWING THAT HE WAS PRETTY MUCH AN ACCIDENT ON KENSHI'S PART, the thought of unknowingly getting someone pregnant was more than enough of a deterrent to keep Takeda from fooling around. He would really rather not risk it, preferring to focus on himself than be distracted by a body's capricious wishes.
BECOMING PART OF JOHNNY'S TEAM, HOWEVER, BROUGHT HIM TO NEW PLACES, HAD HIM MEET NEW FACES, gave the ninja something resembling stability. What would usually be just days spent in other people's presence became months, and every passing flirt and joke kept layering on until Takeda was finally hit with the realization that no, he really was fond of his team... but especially of Jacqui.
A NO NONSENSE ATTITUDE, HANDLED BY A CARING AND TACTFUL MIND, it was no surprise that attempting to charm his way into her good graces was one of the first things that came to mind -- and then she reciprocated, and it just snowballed from there. Beautiful, smart, kind, funny, an ass-kicker... should he keep going?
YOUNG LOVE IS A HOPEFUL, STUBBORN THING, and a prominent believer of how one should live in the present, ever aware of how short life could be, he devoted himself entirely to Jacqui. As far as he is concerned love, in all of its forms, is less about who you two are, but how hard you're willing to work for it and Takeda, as reiterated many times before, doesn't know how to back down from a challenge.
THE THOUGHT OF SETTLING DOWN, OF HAVING A FAMILY OF HIS OWN, WAS ONCE A CONCEPT THAT FELT DISTANT, ENTIRELY UNACHIEVABLE FOR HIM. Sometimes, it still feels daunting, not having a particularly normal family history, but now it was a door open -- he just had to come home and close it.
DISTANCE AND TIME SPENT APART WAS AN INEVITABILITY, and it is this that prompted his proposal -- Takeda might not be there constantly, an assassin traveling on his life's mission, but he wanted to leave it known that HE IS COMING BACK, AND JACQUI WILL ALWAYS BE IN HIS THOUGHTS UNTIL HE RETURNS.
