Do you think the intro of Alex on Suits has hurt Harvey and Mike's relationship? I feel like he's cutting into their screen time together and the whole idea that Harvey would side with Alex over Mike never rang true to me no matter what he owed Alex. Mike went to PRISON for Harvey!!! Harvey can't live without Mike and suddenly he can't trust Mike over ALEX?! It just made no sense to me. What did you think?

I think it was always going to cut into their screen time. There is only a certain amount of time they have per episode to cover several different story lines so if Harvey is having scenes with an old friend I’m not surprised it means there is less Harvey/Mike stuff (though with the storyline of Mike going behind Harvey’s back with the case maybe it wouldn’t have made a difference either way). 

Look, one of Harvey’s defining traits is loyalty. And I do believe he would’ve felt some responsibility to Alex over what happened, the fact that Harvey going back on his word landed Alex in that position. They’ve been friends for a long time, of course Harvey is going to be loyal to him. Do I believe in an all things being equal scenario that Harvey would choose Alex over Mike. Nope. But all things weren’t really equal. Mike was off doing his own thing, behind Harvey’s back and against his wishes, and because loyalty is so important to Harvey he would’ve taken that as a betrayal which would’ve pushed him more to Alex’s side.

Honestly I have more of a problem with the way Mike’s been treating Harvey this season than with the way Harvey took sides with Alex. But that’s a whole other conversation lol. Bottom line is though I need them back on the same page ASAP.  #takemebacktothestart
